Fodder palm is cultivated all over the world for a variety of purposes, among which the main utility is fodder production (Bayar et al., 2018; Volpe et al., 2018). For this reason, fodder palm plays an important role in the semi-arid regions of Brazil, due to its diversified uses, meeting the needs of producers during periods of prolonged drought. Its productivity is high, which contributes to its cultivation by small farmers and ranchers in regions with lower annual rainfall in rainfed systems. The adoption of management strategies to increase forage productivity in regions with a shortage of rainfall at any given time of year means that forage palm is of significant importance in this scenario. This forage has the role of supplementing the diet in times of prolonged drought, which has a high reduction in quality and forage accumulation in drought (Lira et al., 2017). Good forage palm management is of paramount importance for satisfactory development and high palm yields.

Nowadays, knowing how to read is not only about being able to decode a set of graphic signs, but fundamentally, it is about understanding what is being read. In the classroom, the teacher's role is to help students learn to understand texts better and easily. This work offers practical contributions to address the problem of reading comprehension in secondary school students, motivating teachers to use stories as a didactic tool that contributes significantly to improving the level of reading comprehension of literary texts in Spanish. This research has been carried out at the Castell dels Templers high school in Lleida. The book is organized in three parts. The first part presents the analysis of the teaching context, the second, the theoretical approach, the third, the didactic intervention proposal and its evaluation. The work is addressed to Spanish language teachers and parents interested in developing their children's reading competence in Spanish. Due to the origin of the stories (Spain, America and Africa), the development of the intercultural competence of the learners is facilitated.

The recognition of the deterioration of the environment and the increase in the degradation of the components of agroecosystems, as a consequence of intensive agriculture with only an economic perspective, leads inevitably to change this paradigm of agricultural production rooted in the agricultural areas of the world, for another that is based on more ecological principles that imply respect for the environment with a tendency towards sustainability in our Latin American lands. At the international level, according to well-founded criteria, different proposals have been made in the rural scenario to guarantee agricultural development; however, in most cases, phytosanitary aspects have been addressed in a secondary manner or with a reductionist approach - product technology, plant protection, strategy to control the pest and protect the crop - without giving much importance to the systemic approach required to manage pest problems - process technology, ecological bases, strategy to act on the causes by which pests manifest themselves.

The aim of this book is to systematically present the action research carried out in the field of Organisational and Work Psychology, with a focus on diagnostic and interventional evaluation of Quality of Life at Work (QLW); the intervention took place in the production sector of a medium-sized industry located in the interior of São Paulo. It is understood that organisations aiming for excellence in their processes should institutionalise the QWL programme as part of quality management, planning and carrying out interventions in a cyclical manner (in a process of continuous improvement) and based on well-performed diagnostic analyses; motivation enough to consult this work. The text is organised into three main parts: 1) Introduction to the QWL Assessment Process; 2) Diagnosis and Planning of the QWL Programme; 3) Interventions and Analysis of Results. It is therefore hoped that this book will be of some use to other professionals in the field of Organisational and Work Psychology.

Learning the area of Science, Technology and Environment at the secondary level is of singular importance, because it is one of the most difficult tasks, especially in terms of learning physics, hence the purpose of this research work is to help students overcome their limitations in terms of learning statics and dynamics through the heuristic method of problem solving, where students are the protagonists of their own learning.

Is there a chance for quality education for children in Mexico? A far-reaching question arises: How can we take advantage of the experience of other countries that have been successful with their educational policies and apply them in Mexico? Clearly we can learn from what has worked elsewhere, but how can we adapt those policies to our local reality? To accomplish this, we must examine both foreign educational systems and our own system, since the results are intrinsically related to the suggestions I propose.This paper focuses on a more practical summary and evaluation, with an application-oriented approach, of the educational, social and political situation in Mexico. It addresses the problems affecting our current educational and social system, as well as the challenges impacting the country's development, such as population growth, immigration from various regions, and the persistent poverty affecting certain categories of the population in certain geographic areas. It also analyzes the problem of cartels and the political landscape in Mexico, and proposes several solutions.

This research aims to contribute to the body of work that addresses the company-government relationship by gathering empirical evidence to assess whether political connections influence company performance, which will be measured using three variables that have been little explored in academic literature: (i) preferential access to credit from development banks; (ii) priority in the sale of shares or debentures convertible into shares to development banks; and (iii) international expansion. In this book, quantitative research was carried out by analysing the firms listed on the Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão (B3) between 2007 and 2016, as well as their donations to the 2006, 2010 and 2014 electoral campaigns and the potential effects on BNDES financing, equity stakes held by BNDESPar and the UNCTAD transnationalisation index during the period analysed, with the aim of contributing to an understanding of the influence of political connections on the performance of Brazilian companies.

Research work based on the practices of Corporate Social Responsibility applicable to SMEs and developed in the company INEMFLEX S.A.S. Psychology together with Clinical Neuropsychology have been protagonists in various fields such as health, proposing and developing different methods of evaluation and intervention to describe and analyze behavioral, cognitive, emotional and motivational variables in both cognitive and mental disorders. Thanks to this professional practice, today we can talk about prevention, treatment and rehabilitation as a purpose to improve the quality of life of patients suffering from a special condition, such as many of the now called rare or orphan diseases that affect a minority in Colombia. For the above mentioned, the need to make a contribution from the academic and clinical to Colombian population to describe the neuropsychological characteristics in women with Fabry disease, in order to evaluate their cognitive status, to account at the neuropsychological level of each of their higher psychological processes and to think in the future, to improve their quality of life from this point is born.

Conceptual orientation of the understanding of ecumenism and diaconal learning is needed. Emergence, development, themes and goals are of interest. Additional theological education (ecumenism) and civic education (diaconal learning) - faith and action - in connection with intercultural competence enrich ecumenical thinking in the context of cultural-religious competence. Ecumenism and diakonia can be described as a journey. The way is the goal. When people of the same conviction unite, a reflected community of the way emerges. Action demands willingness, empathy and acceptance of the other. More recently, there has been a rediscovery of leading figures in Christianity and an increasing involvement in diaconal activities with the need in education.

Child sexual abuse is a crime that is typified in the Argentine Criminal Code. The victim of this crime is a minor whose privacy is violated through manipulation, seduction or violence, thus affecting his or her sexual integrity and causing physical and/or psychological consequences throughout his or her life. This final graduation dissertation proposes to analyse the judicial approach to child sexual abuse, investigating doctrinal discussions, laws and jurisprudence, analysing the criteria of the judges, for a better understanding of the chosen subject matter. The objective is to analyse and evaluate the judicial and procedural approach to child sexual abuse in order to determine its possible shortcomings and successes. The methodology to be used in this final thesis is exploratory and descriptive. To this end, it is necessary to compile and analyse bibliographical data in order to broaden knowledge of the subject matter addressed.

A breastfeeding woman produces an average of 800ml of milk a day, corresponding to an additional 500-600Kcal. Iron requirements can also be easily met by diet alone, provided it is varied, and we recommend eating iron-rich foods such as beef liver at least once a week. In our countries, where iron deficiency is well established, a supplement (tablet) is required during breastfeeding to meet these needs. Breast-fed babies have fewer iron-deficiency anemias than those fed artificial milk, and the percentage of iron absorption in breast milk is higher (81% in the first 3 months of life), compared with 10% for cow's milk, which is even poorer in iron.Vitamin B9 (folic acid) requirements diminish after birth, but medication is always recommended in addition to iron. Complementary dietary intake can only be beneficial. Cooking destroys 70% of the folates contained in plants, so we recommend at least two portions of raw fruit and vegetables a day.

Theoretically, biomass has the capacity to provide 100% of the world's energy requirements; however, the production, exploitation and use of this energy source is still not sustainable. Currently, biofuels are of great importance both nationally and globally, supported by the search for viable alternatives that aim to replace, to some extent, diesel fuel and gasoline from petroleum. In order to contribute to the search for alternatives to the global problem, thermochemical processes for the transformation of biomass are presented as promising technologies for obtaining liquid fuels with properties similar to fossil fuels. Among these technologies is the hydrothermal liquefaction of biomass. This research work seeks to technically develop a liquid biohydrocarbon with energy potential from a biomass available in Colombia by means of hydrothermal liquefaction.

The main purpose of this book is to motivate Early Childhood Education teachers to adapt their teaching practice in relation to experimental sciences and students with autism spectrum disorder. For this purpose, an intervention program based on multisensory stimulation through scientific experiments has been proposed. The aim of this study was to verify the importance of physical activity in the treatment and prevention of obesity. This study is of great importance as it reviews the entire process of obesity development and the importance of physical activity as a factor in the prevention and treatment of this disease, which is currently causing great concern to health authorities. From the results obtained in this study, it was concluded that: 1. there is a significant negative correlation of adiposity indicators (DCTR and ¿DCTR+SB) with the amount of movement produced by the body (VM) and with energy expenditure relative to body mass (GER); 2. the greater the accumulation of adipose tissue, the greater the prevalence of sedentary physical behaviour and the lower the energy expenditure; 3. the lower adiposity index is inversely proportional to the level of light to vigorous physical activity and GER.

Pastoral water supply has always been a key concern in Sahelian areas with high livestock production rates, as these farmers face daily problems linked to the lack of water for their livestock and the various epidemics that affect them. The aim is to contribute to the development of rural areas in terms of water supply for livestock and the improvement of drinking water supplies. To achieve this, interviews and discussions on the state of the area were conductedlivestock and their behavior. The results showed that the Far North of Cameroonhas around a hundred natural ponds, but these are periodic and cannot meet the high and ever-increasing demand for water from livestock.

The purpose of this research is to find the most viable alternative for the productive reconversion of the Colimes canton; persisting until today as one of the poorest for the province of Guayas, due to the permanent continuity of the productive matrix of the sector, based on traditional monocultures with conventional empirical techniques and that, by several management indicators, are not profitable for farmers. In order to find the best opportunity, alternatives for productive reconversion were proposed through the business case method. Then, assumptions were made to evaluate feasibility and determine performance through qualitative and quantitative criteria of economic and strategic analysis.

The cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus (Orellana) is an alternative in agricultural production, because it is a product that provides different nutritional elements for humans, high content of essential amino acids, vitamins B1, B12 and D, ascorbic acid, fiber and minerals, as well as its low fat content, which provide health benefits. It is important to mention that the planning of an Orellana production project requires, without a doubt, among its priorities, the prior scheduling of activities in planning, construction, production and marketing.

We establish relationships between generations that share cultures of two centuries. Principals and teachers of the 20th century trying to create pedagogical ties with natives of the 21st century in a world of profound cultural, economic, political and identity differences. Diversity of conceptions, worldviews, ethical models, are the framework of educational models that seek equality, try to be equitable and have as a final goal educational justice, a distant horizon for underdeveloped nations. The search for alternative solutions to the problems of Management from a holistic, integral, systemic viewpoint can be achieved from a situated, punctual scale, adjusted to the immediate environment that takes advantage of the enormous wealth of community resources, gives value to the word, cares for, creates and embraces those who go through the trajectory. Because education is a right, not a privilege. Because who educates, takes care, weaves plots, authorizes, emancipates....because to educate is to open doors.

According to the Real Academia de la Lengua Española, security refers to the "quality of being safe". This definition alone does not clarify much, so from now on we will speak of safety as a situation in which there is an absence of danger, harm or risk. The general objective of this study was to identify the perceptions of the residents of the district of Humaitá towards tourism. According to various theoretical statements, we have considered perception as a set of processes linked to certain stimuli, which allow us to generate an image of a certain object, activity, action or situation, etc. The saturation phenomena developed by Doxey and Languar (euphoria, apathy, irritation, antagonism), as well as the stages of Butler's tourism development cycles (exploration, involvement, development, consolidation, stagnation, decline) were considered focal points of this research to identify the perception of the residents of Humaitá on the image of the tourist activity of the place. The qualitative approach was the methodological orientation defined for this research work, with a non-experimental design, descriptive in scope, in order to gather the necessary information, the Focus Group method was used and a series of interviews were carried out, involving the participation of a representative sample of local residents.

ICT's are tools that allow to keep the world informed, being a powerful instrument of interaction in human beings. In recent years, ICT's have had great influence in society creating types of behavior that influence the way people act or think, such as food advertising, the entertainment they provide and the ease of obtaining them. The inappropriate use of ICT's can cause incorrect eating behavior in adolescents and young people; for that reason this book allows to focus on the current reality of the excessive use of technologies such as: cell phone, tablet, t.v., computer and video game in order to raise awareness about this new phenomenon that has revolutionized the world to avoid that ICT's do not continue to influence eating behavior and therefore our health by influencing eating habits. In addition, a scale has been created to classify the level of influence of each adolescent based on the survey used for the study. The work should contribute to the awareness of adolescents and young people to improve their eating behaviors and reduce the use of ICTs.
