This book is the result of the research presented at the IX National Congress and III International Congress of Administration, whose objective is to bring together researchers, academics, businessmen, students and professionals to share their projects, experiences and discuss advances in the challenges and perspectives of globalization, disseminating the results of theoretical and practical research. This event gave rise to the presentation of different points of view related to the challenges and perspectives of globalization. The topic Management in the global scenario is essential in any type of organized activity and ends up becoming an essential factor for it to function properly, being the Educational Institutions who can promote this ideology and be transmitted, through the graduates to the companies where they work.

As we read more about knowledge management and its applications, we see clear links with other, better-known management disciplines. Knowledge management uses concepts, models, methods and techniques developed by various disciplines, making up a growing body of knowledge that, step by step, is forming the theoretical and methodological foundations of a scientific discipline. The content of this book shows that the common thread between these disciplines and knowledge management is the recognition that information and knowledge are corporate assets that require appropriate tools to manage them, because it is not possible to manage the new with the tools of the old.

In this work, the determination of 19 metallic elements (aluminum, arsenic, barium, calcium, cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, sodium, nickel, phosphorus, lead, vanadium and zinc) in biodiesel samples obtained by homogeneous alkaline catalysis has been carried out, obtained by homogeneous alkaline catalysis, and of the vegetable oils used as raw materials for the production of these biofuels, by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). For this purpose, it was necessary to perform a previous optimization of the microwave oven acid digestion method for this type of samples. Likewise, the quality of the biodiesel samples, in terms of the legislated metal content, was evaluated by applying the UNE-EN 14538:2006 and UNE-EN 14107:2003 standards. These standards were also used for the analysis of the contents of these five metallic elements in the oil samples used as raw material in the production of biodiesel.

The present book "Space use of Calomys musculinus (Rodentia: Cricetidae)" is a revised version of my Doctoral Thesis entitled "Spacing behavior of Calomys musculinus (Rodentia: Muridae)" presented in 2006 for the degree of Doctor in Biological Sciences. For this study of the space use of C. musculinus the following attributes were considered: sizes and percentage of intra- and intersexual overlap of action areas, movements of action areas over time, territorial and aggressive behavior. This study, which lasted 3 years and was conducted in 4 enclosures located in a natural grassland, had 3 Phases: i) study of the use of space of C. musculinus during the reproductive and non-reproductive period, ii) an experimental phase to study the effect of the removal of adult males on the use of space of juvenile individuals, iii) experimental phase to study the effect of the removal of adult females.

In recent years, in Latin America, the "Odebrecht and Lava Jato" cases have resonated worldwide and in the media. This shows that the distances between politics, economics and ethics are becoming shorter and shorter. There has been a rebirth of ethics and philosophy as sciences that seek to explain this current reality, which we could well call postmodern. Faced with this crisis of values, this work seeks to analyze the thinking of Dr. Johan Leuridan Huys, in his book: The Meaning of the Ethical Dimensions of Life. After making a genealogy to understand the reason for this crisis of values, virtue ethics is presented as an answer to the ethical problem. Taking as a starting point the thesis of this author and reviewing from his hand the thought of some current philosophers, we realize that we cannot remain with our hands folded in the face of relativism and current nihilism. This book seeks to give clues to today's reader, to help him understand the importance and primacy of values in the formation of the citizen in the face of today's individualism. Themes such as family, good and transcendence are the final corollary of this work that we put online today.

For the general public, but in its second part, this book is a collection of sms grouped into four categories (jokes, prayers, poetry and wisdom). The text messages are arranged chronologically within each category. The first part is aimed at a small audience of researchers and specialists interested in literature and language in all its complexity and diversity. It is intended as an introduction to a theory of "cellular literature". The text you are about to read is already five years old by the time it comes to light. As this is a rapidly evolving field, here is an explanation of any anachronisms.

The present case is about a 39 year old female patient, with no relevant medical history who attended the SERODU dental clinic, Quito-Ecuador, at the clinical examination an increase in volume was observed in the periapical region of the dental organs No. 11 and 12, on palpation it was determined the presence of a soft consistency swelling that apparently would be affecting the integrity of the bone tissue, she did not present any symptomatology. Pulp vitality tests were negative. The radiographic examination showed a radiolucent shadow compatible with a chronic periapical lesion affecting teeth Nos. 11 and 12. The aim of this study is to present a case in which after the failure of endodontic treatment a cystic lesion was observed in the periapical area. Therefore, it was decided to perform periapical surgery with apicoectomy of teeth No. 11 and 12, retrograde apical sealing and bone grafting.

The main purpose of this research was to propose an improvement plan for the application of the pedagogical strategies used by teachers at the Immaculate Conception Polytechnic, Consuelo Municipality, Educational District 05-06. Specifically in 5th grade of electricity of the technical-professional modality. Methodologically, the research was framed in a field design, descriptive, with a mixed approach. The population consisted of eleven (11) teachers who taught in this course in both technical and curricular subjects (30) students who studied in this course, during the school period 2017 - 2018, For data collection, an interview with open and closed questions was applied to the teachers and a survey with open and closed questions was applied to the students. The data analysis was done by applying descriptive statistics, through the elaboration of tables and graphs of frequency distribution using the Excel program.

This text is a reflection on current musical creation, taking into account archetypal aesthetic dichotomies such as those that separate the local from the universal, the academic from the popular, and the serious from the comic. In this context, musical dramaturgy, with its past laden with aesthetic and social commonplaces, presents itself as a genre whose hybrid essence allows it to adapt in a particularly pertinent way to a musical creation that seeks to question the given and reflect on what it means to compose today.

The relationship between mother and child is something that has always been present in the history of mankind and much research has been done on the formation of this bond. It is known that the relationship established between mother and child is essential for the healthy development of the baby's psyche and for the baby's integration into the social world. And how can we look at the question of the learning-family day? What is the mother's role in learning or in the possible development of learning problems? To what extent do we still live with the idea of an ideal, perfect motherhood, who suffers in a paradise, and what is the role of this mother in the formation of this individual who can be delivered healthy or sick to society?

Bamboo and eucalyptus are important forest resources. Giant bamboo slats obtained through the turning process are wide, thin, continuous and constitute an excellent standardised industrial material that can be used to coat and reinforce wood and lignocellulosic panels, as well as providing an excellent surface finish. Manufacturing techniques and mechanical tests used to produce and characterise eucalyptus sawn panels coated with bamboo veneers are shown.The use of laminated bamboo in sawn panels promotes mechanical reinforcement and a change in the behaviour of these panels from abrupt breakage to more predictable and ductile breakage, making the panel more reliable and suitable for use. This is a book of interest to students and professionals in mechanical, civil and forestry engineering, as well as all those who study the world of bamboo, the potential of this plant and its many applications.

The experience of investigating the meaning of motherhood for women of the indigenous Bribri ethnic group, from the Canton of Talamanca, province of Limón, Costa Rica, with an ethnopsychoanalytical methodology is taken up again. This is a paradigmatic break in several levels, since it implies that from the so-called qualitative research, the casuistry is validated in the deepening and singularity of the experience of which the subjects give account. Secondly, this is only possible through the listening that is characteristic of psychoanalytic work. Thus, a reading (interpretation) of what is said by the subject from her own signifiers is made possible. It is precisely here that the role and the tools used by ethnopsychoanalysis are detached from the focus on objectivism and sepcy, allowing the researcher to become involved as a subject who investigates from another place with other signifiers, which enrich her work and sensitize what this knowledge produces. This is how the third rupture occurs. The woman, the Bribri indigenous woman and motherhood are decoded, demystified, actions that transverse to the researcher, evidenced in her questions.

This book is a compilation of legal texts relating to the Land and Property Regime, Urban Planning, Economic Zones and Real Estate Taxation. The aim is to make these texts available in a single document and thus facilitate research for the user. The potential audiences for this compendium are teachers, civil servants, staff of Local Authorities, SIC, MAETUR, CFC, BANKS and all investors.

The use of addictive substances is a public health problem because of the multiple consequences it brings, not only to those who consume but also to their closest context such as the family, in this sense it is important to have tools that allow the evaluation of the treatments that are available for this clinical population, which is often complicated, one of these interventions is the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or "ACT" for its acronym in English. ACT has been shown in controlled studies to be as effective as the traditional Cognitive Behavioural interventions that have been used in the treatment of addiction, but has been shown to be more effective in the long term, which ensures a lower rate of relapse in patients, the core skill to be developed for this purpose is "Psychological Flexibility". The present book provides an adapted and validated Spanish-speaking instrument that can be useful to both clinicians and researchers in the field.

Diabetes is a major risk factor for NAFLD and can even worsen disease progression. Although most subjects with NAFLD and NASH are obese, people with a BMI < 30 kg/m2 can present with true NAFLD, known as "lean NAFLD". However, this entity has not been well studied, and data on the severity of liver damage in this subgroup remain debated. Through a review of the literature and local experience, the aims of this book are:- assess the severity of hepatic fibrosis in non-obese diabetics, using liver fibroscan- identify the factors associated with significant hepatic fibrosis in non-obese diabetics, in order to rationalize its screening via liver fibroscan in this population- study the frequency and risk factors of hepatic steatosis in non-obese diabetics, and its influence on fibroscan values.Significant fibrosis assessed by fibroscan is found in almost 30% of non-obese diabetics. Hepatic steatosis or hypercholesterolemia indicates that fibroscan should be performed in this population.

Given the diverse and complicated processes that the female gender has had to face from the last century until today, the demand for social recognition as active agents in the economy would be the pinnacle to achieve a society in which gender discrimination can be overcome, as well as to achieve the self-realisation of all individuals without limitations. It is here that the acquisition of status symbols by women becomes a tool which, from an economic perspective, allows this social problem to be exposed. Although consuming is a daily operation that we all carry out unconsciously, the acquisition of status symbols is a phenomenon that derives from this and is totally conscious. Through this descriptive research, we will seek to answer the following question: what role does the consumption of status symbols play in the generation of women's identity and what are the mechanisms implicit in this relationship?

The evolution of guidance allows defining it as a discipline, as an area of knowledge framed in the social sciences, aimed at the development of the human being's potential through psychosocial consultation and counseling on an individual and/or group basis at any stage of the life cycle. As a discipline, counseling is nourished by diverse areas of knowledge, among others: education, sociology and psychology; from the latter it takes the psychological and theoretical approaches that describe and explain personality; it accepts the paradigms of these approaches, the structure and dynamics of the theories, assuming itself from the perspective of education and sociology. As a profession, guidance implicitly consists of a set of functions and tasks aimed at satisfying the emerging requirements of the contexts where the guidance counselor works ethically, adjusted or adjusted to the values associated with improving the living conditions of those involved and enhance their comprehensive development and in accordance with the legal provisions that frame their professional practice.

The search for a rapprochement between areas of knowledge is becoming increasingly necessary. Through dialogue, we can establish the effectiveness of this action through the practice of disciplines, with the aim of achieving totality in the educational process. With this, we can overcome the gaps that have formed during the educational process throughout the history of Brazilian education, resulting in the fragmentation of disciplines and consequently the fragmentation of knowledge. The aim of this research was to establish a dialogue between education, literary art and religiosity through the strategic use of a pedagogical tool applied and analysed in the field. In this way, the aim is to make the most of the classroom space and to provide the student with an integral, ethical and religious education. In this way, the aim is also to encourage the constant practice of reading written text, so that students are able to read their local reality through knowledge of important aspects present in another culture. Aspects which, from their roots, are reflected in the students' daily lives, including their behaviour inside and outside the school walls.

In this paper, based on the study of various authors, the subject of remunicipalisation and the relationship between remunicipalisation and expropriation is addressed, since remunicipalisation is, after all, nothing more than an expropriation in which the ultimate aim is to take the management and provision of a service from the private sector in exchange for compensation.To this end, I will first analyse the historical context in which remunicipalisation is taking place and then go on to define a series of essential key concepts such as municipalisation, public service, its types and, finally, the different ways of managing them. I will then move on to the concept of remunicipalisation and the ways in which it can be carried out, focusing on the figure of recovery. Subsequently, I will analyse competition law and I will return to remunicipalisation, analysing its advantages, disadvantages, reasons for carrying it out and the decision criteria to be taken into account when deciding on one form of management or another. Finally, I will make a brief comparison between expropriation and remunicipalisation and I will conclude my work with a series of conclusions on the subject.

The purpose of this book is to carry out a strict legal analysis, the aim of which is to expose the existing gaps or lacunae in the Colombian legal system, in terms of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. The main topics to be dealt with are: Initially, we talk about the woman as an active subject of carnal access, then we study the transcendence of the Injury by way of fact and sexual acts meeting point: Where it begins and where it ends. Finally, the guarantees in relation to animal protection are studied. The aim of this paper is to safeguard the harmony and integrity of the legal system, through the principle of equality, and all those guarantees inherent to the being.

Brand reproduction or imitation is a very common practice in the business world. This reproduction or imitation, considered an infringement of trademark rights, is the subject of numerous disputes between the trademark owner and the competitor. This is a pre-eminent type of dispute before the Higher Appeals Commission, in that it is the most well-known by the Commission between the periods of 2000 and 2020. This justifies our analysis of the trends in the case law of the Board of Appeal. The 257 decisions handed down by the Board on trademark law issues are analyzed and exploited.In the light of the provisions of Annex III of the revised Bangui Agreement of 1999, the book sets out two main aspects of trademark litigation before the High Commission of Appeal.

The application of assisted reproduction techniques in human beings has created a new space for ethical and legal discussion regarding their implications in law. Its use stems from scientific advances to achieve fertilisation in couples suffering from infertility pathologies, although it has also been extended to the satisfaction of other interests. The aim of this paper is to investigate the most relevant legal problems and possible conflicts of rights that may arise as a consequence of the use of assisted reproduction techniques between the people who participate in them. Starting from the premise that the right to procreation is not unlimited, as any subjective right is not, and that its essential limit lies in the rights of others, especially in the potential rights of the child to procreate, the best interests of the child are taken as the guiding principle for the analysis. The object of study is the legal regulation of ART in Argentina, within the framework of the Unified Civil and Commercial Code, evaluating the proportionality of its norms and comparing it with other existing positions in comparative law.

The danger of Islamophobic discourse is a brief introduction to the analysis of the political discourse that proliferates in Western societies with respect to the Islamic religion. It is also an exposition of its theoretical bases based on a diversity of authors, together with a necessary reflection on the consequences of the dissemination of distorted information that influences the discrimination of a group of the population due to the religion they profess.

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is considered to be the chronic non-communicable disease whose prevalence has increased the most, and is considered by the World Health Organization to be one of the epidemics of the 21st century. It is one of the diseases with the greatest socio-economic impact on public health systems, both in developed and developing countries.It is estimated that more than one million people in Portugal have diabetes.With the general aim of assessing the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus over a 10-year period, a descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional study was carried out on a probabilistic, simple random sample of 341 participants enrolled in a Family Health Unit, aged between 45 and 54, 54.3% female and 45.7% male. After obtaining authorization and informed consent, data was collected through individual interviews. The Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC) and the Health Locus-of-Control Scale were used.

Data identification algorithms are useful models in areas of research and technological development where pattern recognition functions are required to classify data within a definition; the domain symmetry model is a highly efficient Machine Learning algorithm for data identification, capable of classifying images and sounds with a low amount of training data, besides being a model capable of extrapolating to the identification of other types of data thanks to its modeling stage where a contextualization on the nature of the data is applied for the training of the system.Throughout this book the automation of this model is developed and implemented; a model of accessible implementation, with a low computational cost, since it requires a very low amount of training data, fast, versatile in multiple applications and highly efficient.

Despite its high frequency and its significant impact on the cognitive functions and quality of life of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, anemia has long been neglected and sometimes incorrectly treated. Screening people at risk and prescribing preventive and effective treatment will certainly change their prognosis.Through a literature review and personal experience, the objectives of this work are:- specify the characteristics of anemia in patients with IBD;- detail the factors associated with the occurrence of anemia and its persistence in patients with IBD.

This book aims to analyse the film directed by Fernando Meirelles (1955) and scripted by Don McKellar, Blindness, released in 2008, as an adaptation of José Saramago's (1922-2010) book, Ensaio sobre a cegueira, published in 1995. To do this, we will first contextualise the book and the film in the artistic production of their respective creators, in order to make clear the differences between them, since the adapter of a literary work does not share the same point of view, aesthetic concern or historical moment with its author. We will then present various critical opinions on the relationship between literature and cinema, placed chronologically, to show the intrinsic relationship that one art form has with the other. In the end, we'll be able to see clearly how the study of Literature and Cinema views a film adaptation. A film based on a literary work is neither seen nor analysed as a mere transposition of the book into another medium.
