The present work corresponds to a reflection about several theories and approaches to learning and their relevance in the training of social agents, a reflection that emerges from the practice of training, and attending to the fact that the meaning of what learning implies and how it is learned is not at the center of the discussion in universities in Latin America, in which the emphasis is more on what to teach rather than how to teach. The following research project aims essentially at a systematic review of the use of Smartphones in the development of brain plasticity in children aged 0 to 6 years.

This book discusses the narratives created as an instrument of power. In other words, it addresses those discourses that constructed images of the 'other' and their territories in order to justify Lusitanian exploration and domination of the west coast of Africa in the 15th century. To this end, it presents some continuities and discontinuities in the legacies of the medieval imaginary about Africa and Africans through the accounts of Gomes Eanes de Zurara and Duarte Pacheco Pereira in their respective works: the Chronica do descobrimento e conquista de Guiné and the Esmeraldo de situ orbis. Throughout this work, we will focus on those representations that placed the territorial and cultural references of the Portuguese in perspectives of alterity with the views directed at sub-Saharan peoples and territories. Particularly in the region that was known as Guinea during the four-century navigations. Thus, this research also seeks to broaden our knowledge of the Portuguese maritime expansion, as well as the relations of alterity and identity that took place during the first contacts of this period.

This book aims to highlight the growing importance of foreign capital in Togo's economic development. Inspired by the observations of the Secretary General of the United Nations in 1962, the book explores how economic globalization has favored the internationalization of financial flows, the establishment of foreign companies, and the globalization of the economy. Togo, as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment, is at the heart of this study. It is located in West Africa, with a surface area of 56600km² and a population of around 8 million in 2022. The official language is French. The book highlights the country's recent dynamism in terms of Foreign Direct Investment and its potential impact on economic growth and development. In short, the book focuses on the crucial role of foreign direct investment in the context of economic globalization, and its contribution to Togo's development.

The central argument is reading training in prison as a path and perspective for the re-socialisation of incarcerated individuals, through access to general reading, literary reading and text practices, given that sentence remission through reading needs to be understood and ensured as a socio-educational public policy in Brazilian prisons. In this sense, the importance of its implementation and execution is a legitimised duty that falls to the states and their rulers. Furthermore, to think of a fairer, less violent and less criminal country is to know that education must be prioritised and used as a powerful instrument of general knowledge. In this sense, access to reading for imprisoned minorities should be valued, especially its impact on their relationship with literature and their reflections, even if they are generic. In this vein, the book questions how reading can transform the life of an incarcerated individual if, in Brazil, where more and more people are imprisoned, prisons are overcrowded and resocialisation is practically non-existent. It also points out whether there are legal guarantees and prospects for such resocialisation, which the book presents as possible, provided it is properly re-evaluated.

In this particular research is part of the thesis that is in preparation entitled Miguel Baca Rossi: commemorative sculpture of the XX and XXI century in Chiclayo-Peru regarding public art, has as object of study the equestrian sculpture El Chalán by Miguel Baca Rossi, which was installed posthumously in the promenade of Villarreal Avenue in Chiclayo. This study allows us to approach the production of this sculptor, who worked as a creator of the Peruvian national imaginary that masterfully proposes an iconography of the mestizo. For the analysis of the work, the following question was formulated: What are the iconographic elements of miscegenation represented in the sculpture El chalán by Miguel Baca Rossi? Likewise, the objectives of the research were: to know the sculptural work made in his native Chiclayo, to analyze how public art develops a sense of belonging to the socio-cultural context, integrating and transforming it distinctively. And finally, to make a contribution to the history of the placement of commemorative monuments of his authorship in the public space, since studies of equestrian sculpture are scarce.

Interculturality is a complex and enriching fabric that weaves together the diverse cultures, beliefs and perspectives that coexist in our globalized world. In this context, education stands as a powerful means of fostering mutual understanding and collaboration between people of different cultural backgrounds. However, this educational challenge requires more than the simple coexistence of cultures; it requires an active and reflective approach that promotes authentic dialogue and personal and social transformation.It is our hope that this book will inspire educators, students and all those interested in the richness of cultural diversity to embark on a journey of intellectual exploration and constructive dialogue. As we proceed, we will discover how philosophical dialogues can nourish not only our minds, but also our hearts, and how they can transform our vision of community interculturality and our commitment to a more inclusive and understanding future.

Water is an inappropriate right for all living beings on the planet, however, today it is a commodity that is increasingly difficult to obtain and of good quality for the underprivileged who live on the outskirts of cities. The struggle for the right to water is becoming more and more notable and there are still murders of environmentalists who defend the forests, as in the case of the Nabua communities in the Cholulteca region where the Bonafont company has benefited from the concession and extraction of subway wells. Water governance has been politicized to the point of not resolving conflicts, as in the case of the La Parota and El Zapotillo dams (the former for the generation of electricity and the latter for the supply of drinking water to the Bajío region). This book offers a series of hypotheses on the causes of water scarcity, as well as a series of alternatives to mitigate risks, natural and urban disasters from the context of vulnerability and resilience.

The existence of multiple and diverse environmental problems is due to the development model that is being sustained, an unbalanced relationship between resources and waste within a structure of uncontrolled and unconscious production and consumption. In this context, it is considered urgent to build a different, fair, participatory and diverse society, because the environmental crisis is based on human action. In this context, environmental education is one of the best alternatives to face the challenge of changing the attitude, behaviour and valuation of the environment, especially if it can be integrated with local management. In view of the above, a methodological proposal was developed and applied to ensure that, based on knowledge of the environmental issue and community awareness, citizen participation is increased, individually and collectively, to solve local environmental problems. In order to achieve this objective, some strengths and opportunities were used in Venezuela, such as the application of some laws within the integration of Formal and Non-Formal Environmental Education.

Simulation is a teaching tool increasingly used in initial training for healthcare students. It provides real-time training in which learners themselves mobilize the knowledge they have acquired in theory classes, with the aim of improving their technical skills (gestures, etc.) and non-technical skills (diagnostic reasoning, team behavior, use of resources, etc.). The prognosis of RTAs depends, on the one hand, on the performance of technical and therapeutic gestures included in a management algorithm and, on the other hand, on good interaction between the various team members involved.In this context, we carried out a prospective observational study involving 32 3rd-year anesthesia and intensive care students, with the aim of assessing the contribution of simulation-based training to theoretical knowledge of adult RTA management.

The aim of this study was to analyze the fundamental aspects of an expert accounting report that can influence the decision making of judges in labor cases. These aspects were identified in existing doctrine and in the standards issued by the CFC - Federal Accounting Council on Accounting Expertise. To carry out this research, we used the deductive method and thematic analysis through bibliographical research in various sources, together with analysis of labor accounting reports, only as a model for identifying the main items mentioned as essential to good preparation. The results showed that there are fundamental aspects that can really influence judges' decisions.

The book seeks to make an initial analysis of the accusatory criminal justice system model, to which both the ordinary criminal justice system and the military criminal justice system currently obey in Colombia, with the aim of demonstrating the objective and characteristics of this model, which leads to the application of the principle of opportunity and demonstrating the need for it. The principle of opportunity cannot be separated from military justice when the model used is the accusatory criminal system. It also reviews the changes that the military criminal justice system in Colombia has undergone in recent years and which led to the initial application of the principle of opportunity, but which was subsequently eliminated by a decision of the Colombian Constitutional Court, which the author does not agree with, making it necessary to determine what other tools can achieve the objectives of an accusatory criminal system, such as speed and efficiency, avoiding the need for all cases to go to trial.

The aim of this work is to demonstrate, through discursive conceptions and theories, how the discourse of Dilma Rousseff, the candidate for re-election to the presidency by the Workers' Party in 2014, led her to elaborate, construct and consequently project a representation along the lines of the mythified warrior, William Wallace. The work also seeks to corroborate how political speeches, when well elaborated and thought out by individuals guided by historical and linguistic knowledge and, consequently launched, projected in a society guided by the social imaginary and common sense, have the great power to legitimize, fill with authority and potentiate the enunciations uttered by the individual who holds these speeches. Therefore, the investigation with the help of French Discourse Analysis, above all by verifying the conditions of discourse production, the mechanisms of interdiscourse and intradiscourse, the investigation into the social imaginary and Brazilian common sense in relation to the film Braveheart.

A course completion project focusing on quality in the creation of web solutions and the practices aimed at achieving this quality. In this context, an application was developed based on clean architecture and good programming practices, with the main practice being the implementation of SOLID principles in the architecture, seeking to guarantee the quality of the code and meet the objectives of the project, in which it has high maintainability and ease of test implementation. The purpose of this work was to build a clothing e-commerce, only the server part, popularly known as the backend, where a user can make purchases, and the administrator user can register products, categories and the like. To this end, tools, technologies and methodologies were selected with efficiency criteria, aiming for ease of maintenance, according to the needs of the system and the objectives proposed in the work, so it was possible to obtain positive results, such as a high level of test coverage, implementation of design patterns and also adaptation of the software to the principles and concepts proposed.

At the end of our investigation, it's worth noting that today's technique differs from that of the Ancients. Unlike the ancient version of technique, that of the Moderns is based on an arraisonnement. It is no longer a simple unveiling; on the contrary, it is a provocation, imposing its own law on nature. It has turned modern man into Homo deus, an all-powerful being who seems to rival God. Thanks to his technical nature, the human being transforms the supposedly hostile nature. But the sad fact is that behind his modifying action lies the idea of transgression. With Gilbert Simondon, we understand that every action carried out by the man of modern technology aims to go beyond its limits in a dominating perspective. To prevent his approach from being destructive to himself and his environment, the author of Du Mode d'existence des objets techniques strongly recommends rational use of technology. For this reason, a genuine technical culture is essential, to regulate any human drift.

The aim of this work is to demonstrate, through the concepts and theories of Jungian Analytical Psychology and, above all, the theoretical guidelines of French Discourse Analysis, how archetypal images can influence the construction of an intricate discursive ethos, as well as the formation and structuring of Jair Messias Bolsonaro's speeches. It also seeks to understand how the effects of meanings were able to recreate a heroic journey towards winning over public opinion in the 2018 presidential campaign, transforming the simple presidential candidate into a mythical being, capable of appeasing the minds and hearts of several generations, from the small child to the old pensioner. The work also seeks, through the mobilization of discursive and psychological theories, to verify the recursiveness of the discourses induced by the primordial matrix, the archetypes, as well as to analyze their formation in the individual unconscious, the production of archetypal images, the borrowing of mythical essences, the structuring of the discursive ethos and, finally, how the effects of meanings triggered by these primordial images make sense in the collective conscious of individuals.

What are we talking about when we talk about memory? What is the ethical dimension of memory and representation in scenarios of violence? What are the ethical, aesthetic and political implications of certain ways of representing violence in countries submerged in long periods of violence? How can fiction be a mode of political resistance? These and other questions are the answers to this work that weaves fiction, memory and critical essay.

Among the teaching competences, emotional competence is emerging today as an emerging competence that enables teachers to intervene assertively in increasingly challenging educational contexts. In this book, the author, a Mexican teacher with long experience as a secondary school teacher and manager, approaches the subject through a case study carried out in a public school. The richness of the testimonies and narratives of the participating teachers and students allows for a more authentic examination of the reality of what happens to teachers' emotions in the classroom. By combining the results of the research with reflections derived from her professional experience and the contextual analysis of educational policies in relation to initial and continuous teacher training, the author offers the reader an integrated view of the emotional competence of teachers, which allows for its better conceptualisation, proposing guidelines for its configuration not only as a constitutive element of teaching practice, but also as a fundamental area of human development.

Information technologies have had a decisive impact on practically all areas of society; however, agriculture, which can undoubtedly be considered the most important activity developed by mankind, since it is the source of most of the food that sustains a growing population, has not benefited from these technologies to the same extent as many other activities, and one of the possible causes of this situation is the absence of a sufficiently robust conceptual framework to focus the efforts of society in general on achieving this objective. Faced with the need to make all agricultural processes more efficient, from a technical, financial and environmental point of view, the digital transformation in agriculture is making its way into primary production, but perhaps in a poorly organized manner. In view of this situation, this book aims to contribute to the construction of the conceptual framework that is so necessary to facilitate the digital transformation in agriculture.

This research proposes a comparative analysis of a photovoltaic system interconnected to the public distribution network, using PVsyst® software, a program used by engineers for sizing photovoltaic systems. The aim is to analyze the energy generation estimated by the software with the actual project data, i.e. the energy that was actually generated. A comparison is made that highlights the main parameters of the project, such as efficiency, generation and losses. This work is divided into two stages. The first stage involves collecting data on the project site, such as geographical data, irradiance, energy production and information on the equipment used. For the second stage, a simulation is carried out using the PVsyst® program according to the input data.

The Principle of No Environmental Regression is a new guiding principle of environmental law and its purpose is to avoid the suppression of regulations or the reduction of their requirements due to contrary interests that do not prove to be legally superior to the environmental public interest. It is the State who must tend to the care of the environment and procure its health and balance in pursuit of sustainable development; this is prescribed by our National Constitution and the diverse legal plexuses that make up the Argentine legal system. In this context, the strengthening and construction of an efficient long-term environmental management -one of the objectives pursued by sustainable development in terms of volumes of goods to be transferred to future generations-, supports the imperative need for the implementation of this principle. In our legal system, it is essential to modify and adapt environmental regulations to the changes that arise; therefore, the incorporation of this principle to the existing ones would make the system more efficient and contribute to a better quality of life for the enjoyment of society as a whole.

This book proposes the inclusion in the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Province of Cordoba of the institute of the witness of reserved identity during the Preparatory Criminal Investigation without causing damage to the right of defence of any accused person. The focus is on the wording of Article 227 bis, proposing its incorporation into Chapter IX, Section Five, which refers to the means of evidence in our legal system. Its application is necessary in the face of an incipient investigation, given that it can contribute and provide important elements which in many cases shed light on unlawful acts, but with the proviso that it cannot be extended to the plenary session, where such a reservation will necessarily no longer be possible. In order not to collide with the rights of the accused, even at this stage, in terms of the possibility of controlling the evidence, the reasons that lead to the application of identity secrecy due to alleged attacks on the witness must be duly justified. It is necessary and indispensable that the different powers of the State address this issue with responsibility and sensitivity, which is a way to fight impunity.

With the passage of time, technological advances in computer and telecommunications technology, both in software and hardware, are becoming more evident every day, a phenomenon that brings with it countless benefits for individuals and entities in terms of information management and connectivity worldwide, however, at the same time, a large number of threats related to this technological evolution arise. Taking into account the above, the Ministry of National Defence has allocated a large part of its resources to guarantee the security of all its information systems, which is why specialised departments have been created to consolidate effective IT security that allows the protection of relevant information for the Military and Police Forces, and therefore for the country. Such a mission could not be applied to real computer environments without a concrete strategy of information security practices. The objective of this work is to formulate a methodology aimed at securing computer environments in training schools, taking into account the functions of the personnel who use computer equipment.

This product is the result of a research stay carried out within the framework of the XXII Inter-institutional Programme for the Strengthening of Research and Postgraduate Studies of the Pacific 2017. It was structured on the basis of documentary research and human rights training at the Jalisco State Human Rights Commission and directed by a research professor from the University of Guadalajara.

Gender violence is understood as any violent act or aggression, based on a situation of inequality in the framework of a system of relations of domination of men over women, violence is a learned relationship strategy, it is not innate. Discrimination against women and gender-based violence is a problem that crosses borders, this type of violence takes all kinds of forms, from psychological or emotional abuse to verbal aggression, so that when "misogynist jokes" are told, they actually seek to attack and denigrate women (although sometimes men are also victims) through mockery and derision. Typically, such "jokes" refer to women's lack of intelligence or emphasise aspects of the female body. Sexist "jokes" are not neutral; on the contrary, they reflect the reality of a sexist and misogynist society that has historically struggled to keep women in an inferior and vulnerable position. Misogynist jokes incite violence and mistreatment towards women, especially in those subjects who present macho attitudes.

This book is an excerpt from the dissertation "Traces and vestiges of the literacy teacher's production practices: a history to be considered in continuing education", developed in the Postgraduate Program in Public Policies and Educational Management, in the line of research Pedagogical Management and Educational Contexts. Its theme is the production practices of literacy teachers. The research, inspired by post-structuralist studies, especially Foucauldian studies, operates with the notion of governmentality as a tool to answer the following question: How do the production practices of literacy teachers emerge in Brazil and what would be powerful to know when training literacy teachers in continuing education programs?In the analyses, it was possible to say that the production of the literacy teacher is one of the mobilized strategies that are linked to the order of governing and conducting teachers within a rationality that aims to include everyone and manage risks in which the teacher is produced and is produced within neoliberal governmentality as an economically productive and politically useful teacher: the literacy teacher.

The topic of citizenship and the right to land in Cameroon takes us right to the heart of the issue of access and securing land rights. Indeed, despite the international and national proclamation of the right to land, Cameroon's land legislation remains discriminatory, exclusive and rigorous with regard to certain categories of people. Thus, citizenship is called into question by the right to land. Yet the Republic promotes the idea of equality of all before the law. Can we say today that citizenship is guaranteed by the rules of the right to land? The aim of this study is to bring land law into line with international law, so that all citizens enjoy the right to land. To achieve this, it is necessary to recognize customary land ownership and reform the registration procedure.

In Chad's Mayo Dallah region, rainfall oscillation is reflected in the frequency of extreme events (droughts and floods) that affect the water requirements for growing maize and groundnuts. This article analyzes the impact of rainfall variability on the productivity of these two crops in this terroir. Decadal and seasonal interannual rainfall variability is measured using rainfall data from 1990 to 2021. The standardized rainfall index (IPS), calculated from these data, was correlated with yields to establish relationships. Farmers' perceptions and the consequences of rainfall fluctuations were determined from a survey of 120 farmers. The results show a trend towards rainfall stability, but with wide disparities. The SPI showed values ranging from -1.71 to +2.89. These are equivalent not only to years of severe drought (2004, 2005 and 2009), but also to severe wet periods corresponding to years of flooding (1991, 1994, 2012 and 2020).

Nowadays, teaching mathematics is an arduous task due to the different resistances that children show when they teach the subject and the learning process becomes slower. There are many strategies for teaching mathematics, so in this book we present a method that will help you in the teaching-learning of mathematics in grades 4, 5 and 6 of the primary level, in a more fun way, where children enjoy the subject and see it in a different way, and we also present the difficulties that children have in the study of mathematics in the second cycle of the primary level.

The rebellion of Saint Hermenegild was one of the most important events of Leovigild's reign. In addition to dividing Spain in a civil war that brought great harm to Goths and Hispano-Romans, it triggered the conversion of his brother Recaredo to Catholicism and, after him, that of most of the Arian Visigoths. Once his empire was pacified, Leovigild gave his first-born son, Hermenegild, a territory to rule. In 579, the prince moved to Baetica and converted to Catholicism. Soon after his baptism, he was proclaimed king in Seville. His uprising was joined by many of the cities and castles in the region. This rebellion against the legitimate power of his father made Hermenegild a tyrant, and the war in which he involved the nascent Hispania earned him the reprobation of the most nationalistic spirits. It is not possible to be sure that Hermenegild's rebellion was due to his conversion; but to venture that his Catholicism won him the sympathy of the Suevi, the Hispano-Roman Levantines of Baetica and the more orthodox clergy does not seem too bold. Why did Hermenegild convert, what was involved in his rebellion and how did his martyrdom come about?
