Pneumonia is an acute inflammatory disease that we find mostly in the pediatric population; it consists of inflammation of the lung parenchyma, occupying the air space with the involvement of the interstitial space depending on the atomic area that is involved (alveolar, interstitial or bronchial). According to (WHO) and (UNICEF) in 2015 established that 920,136 children under five years of age died from this pathology, 2,500 children per day; which is equivalent to 100 per hour. It is a non-experimental research, with analysis of descriptive correlational character and with quali-quantitative approach, for which was used as a source of information a Database of patients made under the diagnosis code CIE-10 J18, corresponding to Pneumonia, Unspecified Organism, provided by the Statistics Department of the Hospital del Norte de Guayaquil IESS Ceibos. An analysis focused on the etiology of the pediatric patients from 3 to 5 years of age was carried out, where the predominant bacterial pneumonia was S. Pneumoniae with (36.22%) of the cases, which corresponds to 46 of 127 cases that were part of the study.

The banana sector is very important for the country's economy and represents 40% of agricultural exports in Ecuador (Bastidas and Zambrano, 2012), therefore companies engaged in the marketing of this product must have an optimal financial health which is based on the one hand on an adequate accounting system and on the other hand on a cost structure that allows them to optimize these. With the above, it can be inferred that the object of study is cost accounting and the field is cost accounting in agricultural companies, since a competitive transformation is required to face the challenges of economic globalization by improving efficiency in cost management, especially in aspects related to fertilization, phytosanitary control, logistics and export costs, which will improve current productivity levels. All of the above is framed within the International Accounting Standards for the agricultural sector (IAS 41), which will make it possible to effectively differentiate costs from expenses and provide a tool for determining prices.

This book is the essential summary of a Thesis based on the classical and traditional origins of the land problems and conflicts that litter and punctuate the contemporary Congolese land registry. This Thesis provides an explicit explanation of the land-related dramas that are a daily occurrence in the towns and cities of the DR Congo today. It reveals the major flaw that makes Congolese land law redhibitory. The latter is based purely on European principles and takes no account of the realities of the indigenous Congolese people, by including in its stipulations facts that run counter to the habits and customs of the DR Congo: for example, by defining land as state property and a commodity for sale, whereas local tradition considers it to be a common ancestor and a bond uniting the natives.

In cloud computing, virtualised environments have led to a great deal of research into the possibilities and restrictions of using them, or consolidating resources. However, most of this research is limited to a level of performance analysis, which does not delve into the effects of competition between the various virtual environments, and how to mitigate these effects. The study presented in this paper proposes the concept of affinity, which defines the degree of coexistence between classes of applications. The elements that influence these combinations are: the classes and subclasses of algorithms used to implement these applications, associated with the types of parallel libraries they use. The results obtained in this research show that the effects of these combinations between classes of algorithms and parallelisation libraries have such diverse values that it is necessary to study and measure these values in detail, justifying the proposal presented here in terms of defining and analysing the affinity concept, with the aim of contributing to a better use of resources, especially with regard to massively parallel and distributed computing.

Probiotic microorganisms are very sensitive to environmental conditions and to the physical and chemical procedures necessary to formulate them in different pharmaceutical forms. The aim of this work is to find a suitable method of preservation of probiotic microorganisms once microencapsulated. For this purpose, different freeze-drying procedures are proposed and it is studied how they affect the survival of probiotics once microencapsulated and the characteristics of the microparticles.

Hepatic steatosis represents a global health problem for which therapeutic resources are limited. Intermittent fasting refers to a dietary pattern involving periods of fasting and restricted meals. The impact of intermittent fasting on hepatic steatosis can vary from person to person, and depends on many factors, including the severity of hepatic steatosis, age, gender and general state of health.Some preliminary studies suggest that intermittent fasting may have potential benefits for hepatic steatosis, including reducing fat accumulation in the liver and improving insulin sensitivity.

According to scientific nomenclature, the name of each plant is composed of two elements: the first indicates the genus; the second indicates the species. The plant family, that is to say the higher category to which the genus belongs, is mentioned in parentheses, after the Latin name. The common or vernacular name of the plant is specified under the scientific name. If several names exist in popular vocabulary, they are indicated in their order of importance. The origins of the common name are also given in parentheses. Habitat and cultivation indicate the geographical origins of the plant, their current distribution; specifies their method of cultivation and harvesting, as well as the land which is suitable for them. Related species refer to plants of the same genus or family that most often have medicinal properties. Main constituents and main effects lists the active ingredients and lists the main medicinal effects of each plant on the body in their order of importance.

The aim of this study is to propose a methodology that uses environmental perception and determines an environmental efficiency index through landscape analysis,with a focus on the protected environments of the Jundiaí-Mirim river basin, represented by its forest fragments,in order to generate subsidies for drawing up an environmental management plan to promote improvements in the territory's environmental quality.

Over the last few decades, research into family-run businesses has become increasingly important, both in academic and empirical terms. The major importance of this category of company is not accidental, but stems from its impact on national economies, thanks to its significant contribution to value creation, employment and investment. These studies also attempt to define the various contours of the family business in terms of its functioning, organization, transmission and performance. The involvement of family members in company ownership and management unifies ownership and management. It reduces organizational costs, even agency costs (Fama and Jensen, 1983), and increases the altruistic effect. This specific character of the family firm, manifested through its social-economic aspect, indicates that the social capital of this category of firm is intended to explain differences in the behaviour of economic players within the family structure, compared with other structures. It is a broader system, encompassing both economic and social variables.

The present investigation was carried out by means of the quantitative and cross-sectional method, its objective is to know the contribution of the instructional didactics of the accounting subject to the university educational quality of the students of the Department of Accounting of the University of Sonora, where the universe of study were the students of the Department of Accounting at the University of Sonora. For data collection an instrument (questionnaire) was used, which was elaborated in the Google forms application and sent to the students, from which we received 126 surveys which are considered the sample for the present investigation. A descriptive analysis was made of the data obtained, where the results show that the instructional didactics used in accounting contains a work structure that is perceived by the students as a didactics that contributes to the quality of education.

In Cameroon, the teaching of national languages has been in effect since 2009. However, the complexity of the task facing the teacher of National Languages and Cultures (LCN) in the classroom is equally regrettable. Teaching and learning a specific Cameroonian national language is complex, especially in urban areas. Existing theoretical models fail to provide sufficient detail on the teaching practices to be adopted for the effective development of communicative competence (in a specific national language (SNL)) among secondary school learners. This study is based on the teaching-learning of ewondo in the first cycle of secondary schools in Cameroon. The aim is to take a close look at the configuration/composition of the class group when teaching a specific Cameroonian language. The book focuses on the linguistic and cultural identities of the students who constitute the teacher's direct audience.

Clinical Reasoning Apprenticeship (CRA) is a student-centered, contextualized teaching method. Despite years of implementing CRA sessions in medical training, learner feedback has not been systematically sought. It is now essential to assess student satisfaction with CRA in order to identify any shortcomings that might hinder its effectiveness, which is widely acknowledged in the literature. With this in mind, a study was carried out at the Ben Arous Regional Hospital to explore the factors influencing learner satisfaction with this teaching approach.

The aim of this Master's project was to analyze the socio-economic impact of the SWOLLEN SHOOT disease on cocoa production in Côte d'Ivoire: the case of the GAGNOA department. Four variables influencing cocoa production conditions were analyzed: area destroyed, quantity of beans sold, yield per hectare and producer income. The results showed that the current yield is 121.2kg/ha, justifying a considerable drop in the quantity and weight of cocoa beans to 95 percent, and a net cocoa income fluctuating between -459,000 and 1156468 FCFA. This situation is continuously deteriorating the living conditions of the producer and his immediate environment. Growers convert their fields to fallow or other crops. SWOLLEN SHOOT thus has a negative impact on cocoa production. If nothing is done, cocoa will become a rare commodity in Côte d'Ivoire. This will put the people who depend on this crop in difficult conditions.

This book is about conflicts in the African sub-region, in which we propose a reflection on the geostrategics of the African Union and armed conflicts in the African Great Lakes region. Geostrategic factors and conflict resolution in the "Great Lakes region": the question we asked ourselves in our problematic was: why don't the states of this region put an end to the crisis with an agreement worthy of their commitment? We note that conflicts in the region are fuelled by shifting alliances and other extra-territorial conflicts in Central Africa. Ambiguous democracies and the wrong way of negotiating are among the causes. Hence the need to put an end to the crisis and achieve a dignified international commitment in this region. We must also add that the stability of the Great Lakes region depends on the establishment of the rule of law, the commitment of sub-regional states, the democracy of states and leaders of integrity, capable of developing a dignified foreign policy.

This dissertation examines the protection of women during armed conflict, focusing on the case of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) from 1997 to the present day. It examines the sexual and gender-based violence suffered by women in wartime, and the measures taken to protect them. The author analyzes the factors contributing to this vulnerability, such as culture, poverty and impunity, and proposes recommendations for improving the situation. The importance of educating and empowering women is underlined, as is the need to raise community awareness and hold perpetrators accountable.

The Stork Network comprises a set of actions aimed at guaranteeing quality, safe and humanized care for all women. During prenatal care, these actions become essential throughout the gestational period, with the aim of providing the pregnant woman with a safe and humanized delivery. This work deals with women's prenatal care as part of the stork network. It is a systematic review study. The results show that 55% of the studies included deal with prenatal care and the stork network, highlighting the humanized care provided to pregnant women in primary care. This work can contribute to nursing professionals and other health scholars on the importance of providing quality, welcoming and humanized care when it comes to low-risk prenatal care.

Since first appearing on the market in China in 2003, electronic cigarettes, or vape, have become very popular with those seeking to quit or reduce their tobacco consumption. The safety of its use and its effectiveness in smoking cessation are hotly debated. Given its nicotine content, vape also has an addictive potential. The aim of this study was to compare the addictive power of e-cigarettes with that of conventional cigarettes in vapoteurs who had previously smoked conventional cigarettes.

The recurrent wars raging in the east of the DRC are the source of all the ills suffered by the population. The pattern of violence committed by armed groups has evolved as part of the heavy toll paid by the population. During armed conflicts, women and children have not been spared. This period of war has given rise to new phenomena, not least that of children born of rape, commonly known as enfants de personne. Their presence is a reminder of the horror within their community, and a source of rejection. Their identity poses a problem for integration, even though the constitution of the republic recognizes their status. Their stigmatization is a ticking time bomb that conceals a cycle of violence to come.

Head trauma is an increasingly common injury, especially due to the increase in the frequency of road accidents in our countries. It can cause serious permanent after-effects.The progress made in the initial management of patients with severe head trauma, the understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms leading to neuronal death as well as the recent contribution of new multimodal monitoring techniques have contributed to the improvement of the prognosis of these patients.
