This paper attempts, on the one hand, to explain the apparent difficulties between two ethical positions: Greek eudaimonism and Kantian universalism. Kant criticised ethics that put happiness as the motive for their actions and claimed that they were egoistic ethics. Robert Spaemann takes this problem as a starting point and proposes the concept of benevolence or love as a way of overcoming both perspectives.

This research conducts an ethnographic analysis in the Ecuadorian context, regarding how local identity is constructed, modulated and reproduced, based on the reading established by national cinema in its productions: "Ratas, ratones y rateros" by Sebastián Cordero (1999); and "Prometeo Deportado" by Fernando Mieles (2010). In a relatively small country, the question: Who are we? It takes us into an emotional search on the national identity, reflecting on the different contractual periods of our history; and that in the communicational field constantly produces and reproduces cultural patterns, behavioral patterns, stereotypes, ways of life and other components developed in parallel by the vernacular and Hispanic culture, and that has been officially encrypted in our genetic code. In short, the exercise of current communication is debated in the advent of new information and communication technologies, and their interference in contemporary societies, where social subjects establish new forms of interaction in correspondence with the current cultural ethos.

This book demonstrates that communitarianism is not just a theoretical lucubration. The author uses communitarian concepts to formulate concrete proposals for real problems afflicting the Latin American world. The problems he attacks are Marxist socialism and illegal immigration to the United States. The discussion of the former focuses on the experience of countries such as Venezuela, overwhelmed by the so-called Socialism of the 21st century, and exposes the poverty of its ideological foundations. The second deals with the precarious situation of the undocumented Latin American population in the US. The author makes an eminently communitarian analysis of the situation and elegantly explains the reasons why a partial amnesty is ethically and legally justified. In addition, the book clarifies and separates the ideas of communitarianism, liberalism, neo-liberalism, libertarianism and socialism. It does so on the basis of facts and well-founded arguments. In this way, this book seeks to equip the politician or public policy maker with a comprehensive communitarian vision of the reality he or she faces, so that he or she can more easily conceive the practical solutions he or she longs for.

Brazil maintains its position as the world's largest coffee exporter. Between January and December 2016, coffee accounted for 6.44% of Brazil's agribusiness exports, ranking 5th with revenues of US$ 5.47 billion. The main destinations were Germany, the United States, Italy, Japan and Belgium. Coffee quality is related to a number of factors, such as harvesting methods, processing, storage, roasting, beverage preparation and, crucially, the chemical composition of the beans, which is determined by environmental, cultural and genetic factors. In this sense, a great deal of research has been focused on improving crop management and developing new genetically improved cultivars to increase productivity and resistance to pests and diseases, to the detriment of studies focussed essentially on the relationship between cultivar type and beverage quality.

This book is intended for nurses working in pediatrics in the Democratic Republic of Congo.Its main aim is to provide nurses with sufficient knowledge in the management of paediatric pathologies, especially in our health facilities.Specifically, it aims to enable nurses to:1. perform a clinical examination of the child;2. provide effective nursing care;3. observe and analyze the child in order to identify and respond effectively to disturbed basic needs.

The growth of the market has led to greater complexity among organisations, requiring them to adopt different attitudes capable of developing competitive advantages. This study arose from an interest in verifying the relationship between employees and companies through endomarketing and internal communication in organisations. The aim of this study was to verify the existence of a perception of the endomarketing strategies and tools applied by the company. It used bibliographical research and the application of sixty questionnaires in a company in the Information Technology sector. The information from the survey was processed using descriptive statistical methods and graphs using the Excel 2010 programme. As a result of this research, it can be seen that there really is an excellent perception among employees of the endomarketing strategies and tools applied by the Focal Company, as well as suggestions for their improvement.

A cross-sectional descriptive observational study was carried out at the "Augusto Ramón Fraga Coloma" Polyclinic, El Cangre settlement, Güines municipality, between November 2007 and March 2008 to determine the prevalence, severity and risk factors associated with periodontal disease. The periodontal status of 202 individuals of both sexes between 19 and 35 years of age was assessed using the Russell PI in the WHO revised form. Oral hygiene was determined by the Greene and Vermillion Oral Hygiene Index. Oral examination was performed by the researcher in the homes of the individuals surveyed. The information was processed in an Excel table. In the processing, the X 2 dummy and Duncan's multiple comparison were applied. The prevalence of periodontal disease was 71.8% with a predominance of disease occurrence without pocket formation. Infrequent visits to the dentist predominated.

The pharmaceutical market today has generated a wide variety of drugs, including innovative and generic medicines, which are controversial because they differ in cost, efficacy and effectiveness. Generic drugs contain the same active ingredient in the same concentration according to official specifications, yet there are laboratories that do not meet high quality standards, resulting in the production and consumption of drugs with little or no therapeutic activity. In the present study, quality control tests were carried out on Atenolol 50 mg tablets produced by two pharmaceutical companies and marketed in the city of Guayaquil, and a comparison was made with the reference medicine. The results showed that there are significant differences in some quality parameters and finally the generic drugs are not therapeutically bioequivalent to the reference drug.

With the influx of migrants, there have been recurrent protests linked to the delivery of public services in post-apartheid South Africa, during which demonstrators have damaged property and chased away municipal officials. Their persistence over the years is indicative of the fact that these problems are not adequately or quickly enough resolved. The country is among those where the impact of social conflict has led to a significant slowdown in economic activity. The aim of this study is to demonstrate how migratory flows are at the root of social conflicts and their impact on the functioning of various sectors, particularly that of the population in South Africa. To achieve this in terms of security, we propose mechanisms for the South African government to eradicate migratory flows as a vector of social conflict.

We respond to an old dialogue regarding the role of modern science as an institution and discourse, in the conformation of capitalism, in Colombia in particular, in Latin America as a region; and in general in all countries that suffered or suffer from the colonial system without having resolved the progress and development promised by modernity.

The objective of this project was to demonstrate the validity of the analytical method for the determination of Diclofenac present in drinking water, developed at the Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA) in the Subcoordination of Water Quality, in the area of Liquid Chromatography. The method was validated following a previously elaborated work methodology, where different parameters such as linearity, accuracy, precision, selectivity, detection and quantification limits, system suitability and solution stability were analyzed. Satisfactory results were obtained, thus proving the validity of the analytical method.

The Colombian internal conflict is one of the oldest in Latin America and the world, its social and economic repercussions have been catastrophic for the country, especially in the social and economic sectors, proof of this is the presence of countless victims and a high economic cost that maintains the State for the maintenance of national security; a possible peace agreement between the national government and the FARC-EP, will generate improvements in the country's economy, reducing the direct costs of the armed conflict and strengthening the economic and macroeconomic variables of Colombia.

The reader will be able to recognize some acultural, polycultural or multicultural approaches to security that gave rise to intercultural and transcultural frameworks, focused on the co-responsibility between political and social actors. It is a meta-analytical work that seeks to unveil the meaning of security from the perspective of State policies and civil self-defense, contributing to the state of the question with a discussion on the subject.

Why rethink Chad? As soon as you mention this name, the idea of war, unrest or anything else that might haunt the mind immediately comes to mind. This reflex is not at all wrong, as Chadians have been tearing each other apart since 1962. This makes Chad one of the African countries that makes daily headlines, sometimes offering the whole world obscene spectacles, macabre images of wars, street grumbling, killings during demonstrations, displaced persons or disaster victims. In the opinion of certain chroniclers, Chad is a unique country in the world, a country of all paradoxes, subject to a democrature. An analysis of Chad's current situation, backed up by a series of questions, is essential: Where does Chad come from, where is it going, why, how, with whom and what will its future be made of? What more is needed for a country like Chad, blessed with all nature's blessings to be prosperous, but whose population languishes in misery? In our opinion, a wise and thrifty elite and a well-educated citizenry are undoubtedly the foundation of a country's happiness and prosperity. This sense is lacking, and therein lies Chad's problem.

In Venezuela, the telenovela is an important communicational product that for years defined daily life, ways of relating and became one of the most profitable industries in the local economy. Its influence marked political and social moments of several generations and ceased to be a minor product within culture to position itself as a creation that transcended social scales and seduced intellectuals and captive audiences alike. Hence, the importance of reviewing one of the most effective expressions of mass culture in Latin America: the telenovela.

Research work on Industrial Psychology specifically Influence of stress in performance evaluation: technical and administrative areas GADIP Municipality of Cayambe. The main objective is to identify the influence of stress on performance evaluation in GADIP Municipality of Cayambe in the technical and administrative areas. The theoretical framework is composed of two chapters, the first one is work stress and the second one is performance evaluation. The instruments used were the ILO-WHO stress questionnaire for work stress and the performance evaluation questionnaire for performance evaluation. The results obtained at a general level indicate that the lower the level of stress, the higher the level of performance. Based on the results, it was shown that both variables correlate, allowing us to prove the main research hypothesis. In conclusion, work stress does not affect the personnel of the technical and administrative areas in GADIP Municipality of Cayambe, so their work performance is efficient and productive.

Practising as a lawyer poses no problems when done alone, but when done in a group, problems arise. This is what prompted the Congolese legislator to set down in writing the different types of groupings and the way they operate in Ordinance-Law no. 79-028 of September 28, 1979, on the organization of the bar, the body of legal defenders and the body of state representatives. Working together enables progress to be made in a different way from working individually, and allows for other confrontations, other ambitions and other forms of exchange.The success of a team depends more on the shared pursuit of a high standard of performance than on activities that encourage group dynamics, special incentives or charismatic leaders. Successful teams are often found to have been formed without support from the authorities.

Imperialism and colonization brought new rules to Africa, codifying life in a society that was organized around unwritten, oral rules. As Abdoulaye WADE said, "African populations saw independence as the key to a new era, during which they would take charge of their own destiny, on the one hand wiping out the after-effects of colonization, and on the other building an Africa on a par with other nations". Faced with the current practice of imported religions, freedom remains inherent to the African man, which sometimes gives him the advantage of acting according to his own free will.

This exploratory study is based on analyzing how cooperativism has positively impacted people living in the city of Riobamba, Ecuador during a specific period, considering that in Ecuador, during the last decades, there has been a growth of cooperatives, especially financial and various services cooperatives.This work analyzes the reality of several people who used cooperativism, and how it helped change their lives and those of their families, as well as the environment in which they work in their various activities, taking as a reference local economic indicators to corroborate what is proposed.

There are currently no studies to support the use of Ceftazidime/amikacin-based regimen as first choice empirical treatment in patients with neutropenic fever.Demonstrate that the caftazidime/amikacin regimen is not the best empirical therapeutic approach, and could be directly impacting on longer recovery time, longer hospital stay, higher costs.

This book is divided into 4 chapters describing different genera of microorganisms, which have been studied and used to obtain various metabolites of industrial interest. Each chapter explains the general characteristics of bacteria, fungi, yeasts and algae, as well as the cultivation conditions for obtaining compounds such as: antimicrobials, antibiotics, hormones, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, food additives, biopolymers, alcohols, among others. A compilation of scientific information was carried out, with the aim of making known the applications that microorganisms can have, as well as the conditions that these require to obtain a greater yield of metabolites, at a lower production cost, in less time, emphasising that the microorganisms used must be in pure culture and the culture media must be economical. In addition, an industrial micro-organism should preferably not be pathogenic to humans, animals and/or plants and if the micro-organism is genetically modified, it should be stable and able to grow in large-scale cultures.

This book is elaborated with the main objective of determining the influence of gamification as an educational resource through technological mediation using educational software in the learning process.We also show in this project that the gamification technique currently becomes a tool that improves the productivity of learning through the development of interactive games based on cooperation, psychomotor skills and other skills that help in the development of the student.

The objective of this degree work is to relate Helio's Woman from different theoretical postulates of the artistic conception of Neobaroque with the poetic proposal of the Ecuadorian author Dina Bellrham. The meaning of Dina's verses, at times hermetic, is pierced by certain medical terminology that forces the reader to frame himself in the poetic universe of the author. Dina constructs through Helio's Woman the archetypal neo-baroque subject, who is the one who concretizes things or says speeches hidden in the poet's psyche. This search for neo-baroque elements is achieved through the contributions of Omar Calabrese, Severo Sarduy, Eduardo Milán, Jacobo Sefamí, Luis Martín Estudillo and Roberto Echavarren, who reformulate the baroque spectrum and propose a new aesthetic reality called "neo-baroque".

In the following pages Jairo Gutiérrez Bossa seeks to investigate the concept of resistance in the political philosophical thought of Gilles Deleuze, starting from the affirmation that the connection between the work of art and the struggle of men is a mystery, proposing the conatus as the link. To approach this work, four themes will be analyzed: the political inputs in Gilles Deleuze, relying on the works of Louis Althusser and Michel Foucault. The control society and false freedom, including a study on capitalism, schizophrenia and the media. The act of creation as a praxis of resistance, and finally, the conatus, as a Deleuzian extrapolation of Spinoza's concept, as resistance itself. This work is not only a formal study, it is the creation of a risky but full of experiences proposal, away from the simple process of question and answer and turned into a singular process that does not seek to enter into the questions but to get out of them. That is to say, to walk along the border paths of experience, going out of opinions. It is an encounter with Deleuze, an event.

Economic and geopolitical factors have caused the decrease in the price of a barrel of oil, the development of technology through the fracking technique, used by several countries for the exploitation of hydrocarbons without eco-sustainable standards that support this process, undoubtedly affects the environment and at the same time involves individual interests of each economy that seeks to satisfy its consumption and become self-dependent on imports derived from oil. As an important part of national planning and the economic dynamism of the country, the projects of social, economic and environmental inclusion in the National Plan for Good Living and change of the productive matrix in charge of the Vice Presidency, support the transformation and development of strategic sectors to strengthen competitiveness, betting on an energy economy that seeks to be independent of oil and that serves the welfare of society.

Agricultural by-products such as cereal straws, which are available in large quantities, represent an important source of feed for ruminants. Known for their high fiber content, these feeds can limit the digestive utilization of feed rations. With the progress of biotechnology, and following the success of incorporating enzyme additives into monogastric feed rations, the possibility of using these enzyme products in ruminants to improve their zootechnical performance has attracted the attention of researchers. The use of exogenous fibrolytic enzymes can improve the digestive utilization of these fibers, enabling more efficient use of agricultural co-products as a feed source for ruminants. This can lead to reduced costs for feed producers, as well as a reduction in agricultural waste and a more sustainable use of resources. In short, adding value to agricultural co-products by supplementing them with fibrolytic enzymes can contribute to more sustainable agriculture and more efficient animal nutrition.

All societies and institutions are criss-crossed by divisions that defend specific interests. Cohesion is based on aggregations and complementarities of interests, common aspirations and shared values. The Cameroonian social field is organized along identity-based networks that mobilize society on a communal and affective level. Ethnicity and region have become the cardinal identifiers influencing social relations, whether formally or implicitly. As a result, sub-state identities are openly perceived as criteria for discrimination and a factor in differential mobilization. Yet it is precisely in this same mobilization register that political parties operate, hence the entanglement between the ethnicist polarization of the social field and the ethnicization of political mobilization.

This paper deals with the implication of ethical issues immersed in the Public Administration. Specifically, the influence of ethical values and principles in the development of employment, exercised by civil servants. The evolution experienced by the ethical management marked in a remarkable way the initiative to promote these policies by a great number of states. Taking into account the problem posed by the growing practice of behaviors contrary to the general interest, producing an abuse of power by some and affecting the proper functioning of the Administration. The legislation drafted in Spain has been of great help in promoting a change in the public model, developing measures to solve the deficiencies in the system. This has had a social impact, reflected in the welfare of society as a result of the efficiency and development in the public sphere. For this reason, all the initiatives carried out so far encourage a change of mentality, promoting good conduct and the development of a professional administrative practice based on ethical principles and aimed at the general interest.
