The 19th century saw the emergence of the main philosophical currents that preceded the formation of the Vienna Circle, also called "logical positivism", as well as two other major interpretations of scientific knowledge: one, which places the validity of knowledge in the mechanisms of reason, although still affected by certain concessions to metaphysics; the other, which places this validity in the data of the senses and experience. The French encyclopedists took the ideas of empiricism, which emerged as a reaction to rationalism; and it was inductive empiricism, much more than deductive rationalism, which showed the greatest technological contributions. However, it is throughout the twentieth century, where research and technical applications of scientific knowledge, some acquired from previous centuries, as well as others discovered, have developed at such a dizzying pace that they have radically changed the life of the human race and its society, hence the birth of technology and its impact on the man of the XXI century.

The aim of this paper is to examine the role of institutional quality in the relationship between FDI and economic growth in Africa. Using a sample of 30 countries, we have estimated an ARDL model by PMG over the period 2002-2020. The results show that, in the long term, the quality of institutions has a positive and significant influence on the FDI-economic growth relationship. This is particularly true of the rule of law, freedom of expression, regulatory quality and political stability. African governments therefore need to improve these indicators, in order to consolidate the effectiveness of institutional quality in the FDI-economic growth relationship.

Work presented on 02/02/2017 to the International Relations Course of the Federal University of Uberlândia as a prerequisite for obtaining the title of Bachelor of International Relations under the guidance of Professor Pedro Henrique de Moraes Cícero and with the presence of Professors Marisa Silva Amaral and Patrícia Vieira Trópia on the examining board. The work was evaluated with the maximum mark, 100/100.

Through the reflection on different processes of creation around the poetics of William Shakespeare's theater and the study of different cognitive models about image and imagination involved in my training and teaching processes, I review my own training framework as an actor and teacher, to understand how ideas about imagination and the use of different pedagogical tools influence the structure of the performer's imaginary universe. Also a review of different concepts and ideas about image/imagination within the Stanislavski system and the developments of some of his students. It is directed towards the actor's training, helping him to recognize his own imaginative poetics from the recognition of himself and his expression as a metaphor, with the purpose of enjoying his own universe of images as the expansion of his personal domain, to clarify its importance and to promote the relationship between his creativity and his work on stage.

Agricultural soils worldwide face a very notable lack of natural organic nutrients, a reality that leads human beings to search for new organic compounds capable of remediating soils degraded by the intensive use of old and new generation agrochemicals. Amorphous silica (H4SiO4) extracted from wheat straw as a complement in sustainable agricultural fertilization, is a natural amorphous compound with nutritional characteristics that can be assimilated by plants; in addition, the emission of pollutant gases is avoided when wheat harvest residues are burned. The objective of this research was to extract H4SiO4 in the laboratory from wheat straw by means of combustion processes in a reducing atmosphere. The variables studied were temperature, exposure time and overall yield. The results were obtained through the development of Mexican Standard NMX-AA-75-1982, Análisis de agua-determinación de sílice (Centro de Calidad Ambiental, 1992).

Reengineering should be understood as "the new thinking and fundamental redesign of the operational and administrative processes of the organizational structure of any organization, oriented towards the essential competencies of the globalized world in the current context, to achieve improvements in organizational performance". The above is what is required at the Toluca Training and Updating Campus, because currently with the organizational structure proposed in the Organization Manual of the Universidad Mexiquense de Seguridad it is not possible to support the operational and administrative processes, much less achieve the fulfillment of its objectives, mission and vision.

Last October 14, 2017, in several cities of Ecuador, a multitudinous march called "Con mis hijos no te metas" (Don't mess with my children) originated, which had as background, the defense of the family and moral values. The obstacle that originated these social demonstrations was the legislative debate in the National Assembly for the approval of the "Law against gender violence against women", in which, it was intended to include definitions such as "gender identity" that, in the opinion of religious groups, conservative or protective of the family, could not be conceived within the block of legality of our country, since they were "inappropriate". As a consequence of the above, several people who professed different religions, had different foundations or simply maintained a conservative position, joined together to raise their voice of disagreement dressed in white, accompanied by several banners and posters with varied literary content; however, the most welcomed by all was the one of "WITH MY CHILDREN DON'T GET IN MY WAY".

Taking into account that the pandemic was a totally new situation for the entire scientific and health community, where most of the knowledge was scarce or null when facing such a tiny enemy, and having the ability to disperse easily, using the human being as a means of transport , This created a situation where the only defense was the use of PPE and biosecurity norms, forcing to change the way of seeing health care, creating new differentiated operating rooms, with infrastructure and guidelines for its implementation, with the sole purpose of limiting the spread of COVID by dispersion.

Chronic non-communicable diseases, led by arterial hypertension (AHT), are the main cause of mortality and premature disability worldwide. The present text is a material that constitutes a practical tool for health professionals, where it was found that the predominant risk factors were sedentary lifestyle, alcoholism and smoking. Knowledge about the disease and the practice of toxic habits are adequate, while the application of the diet is inadequate. It was recommended to continue the present line of research from a preventive approach and to disseminate the most correct ways to avoid or, once diagnosed, to face this disease that causes so much long-term damage in those who suffer from it.

This paper analyzes the socioeconomic characteristics of the Baudó region, the causes and actors that have hindered the region's productivity and facilitated the increase in the cultivation of illicit crops, as well as the role played by public entities and social organizations in the development of its inhabitants. It describes how development plans are constructed from an ethnic territorial approach, public policy strategies in the area of agricultural development, as mechanisms of social rights for the closing of gaps and provision of goods of social interest for social inclusion, economic growth through production, commercialization, competitiveness and innovation. Clarity is needed in complementary policies for income generation and productive inclusion, provision of essential public goods for competitiveness and a more appropriate rural institutional framework. Therefore, this research will address the socioeconomic characterization of the region, the causes and actors that have contributed to the reduction of agricultural production and the increase of illicit crops.

This Manual of Nursing in Obstetrics, Volume I, was created due to the need to incorporate to the students a scientific method of professional performance, for the care and action in pregnant women, which allows to provide higher quality in the personal care of patients. It is aimed at nursing students, primary health care nurses and post-graduate students, and also serves as reference material for other technicians involved in the Maternal and Child Care Program. It will be a guide for the student to learn how to assess pregnant women, prioritize nursing diagnoses, outline expectations or objectives, and perform nursing interventions with great professional performance.

The development of communicative competence is a fundamental objective in elementary school. The teaching of the linguistic means to achieve it is conceived from the subject Spanish - Literature. In the present work a system of exercises is proposed for the study of the verbal morphemes mode and time from the text in function of the textual comprehension. In the development of the research, methods and techniques of the theoretical and empirical level were used: historical - logical, analysis - synthesis, inductive - deductive, systemic - structural, modeling, observation, interview, survey and pedagogical test. The results of the implementation demonstrate the effectiveness of the system of exercises, which showed a significant increase in the students' learning levels in the recognition of modes and simple tenses of verb forms, as well as their meaning and use in the text according to the communicative intention.

Introducing classroom accompaniment is a necessity for improving the quality of teaching and teachers' practices, which will only be met if the strategy is institutionalized in the school, thus becoming a true instance of self-improvement. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors that, as a result of classroom monitoring, favor positive changes in the pedagogical practices of a group of five teachers, in order to build a feasible proposal to be implemented in other schools based on the results. This study is a case study, ascribed to the qualitative paradigm, with a phenomenological design. It is based on the observation of the individual experiences of the participants. The findings show that classroom accompaniments favor positive changes in pedagogical practices, teachers value the instance, although certain prejudices persist in them related to the punitive nature attributed to this practice of teacher evaluation.

Before the 74 days of Argentine occupation, 2000 Kelpers lived in the Falkland Falklands, many of them descendants of the 1000 who populated the Islands in 1850. Today they are still on the Islands, and have been joined by 3000 British Marines who live in a military base 80 km from the capital, called by the locals Port Stanley and by Argentina, Puerto Argentino. The British military are not allowed to visit Puerto Stanley Puerto Argentina. The author, founder of the Asociación Civil Amigos de Malvinas Falkland visited the Islands, and interviewed 50 civilian leaders of the community. As a European, resident in the Rio de la Plata, and mostly in Argentina since 1938, he recounts his experiences of his dialogue with those who proudly call themselves Kelpers.

Depression is one of the great evils in today's society and even more so when there is a diagnosis of HIV, AIDS: so every day health professionals seek strategies to facilitate intervention in a timely manner. For this purpose, the ideal is to diagnose early, achieving an intervention at the right time. Through this text the reader will be able to visualize how to identify this condition in conjunction with HIV, establishing a differential diagnosis between depression and all the concomitant effects and physical, emotional and social changes that are caused by the infection. On the other hand, the professional will become familiar with the different clinical concepts when involved in the care of people living with HIV / AIDS (PLHIV / S) and their families.

It's a fact that social inequalities have a strong and negative impact on family structures in Haitian society. Children in difficult situations are one of the social problems resulting from these disparities. Minors in conflict with the law, who form part of the group known as children in difficult situations, are the particular group we have studied in the context of this research work. The situation of this category of vulnerable children in the country is very worrying, given that we have almost no structures to care for them properly. The CERMICOL, as the only center for the rehabilitation of minors in conflict with the law and which only deals with young boys, is stagnating in inefficiency and administrative paraplegia. As a result, the center is struggling to fulfill its mission, which is to rehabilitate minors in conflict with the law. This qualitative research project is an attempt to X-ray the recurring problems and major handicaps in this vital field.

On the one hand, there are companies, holders of economic, social and political capital; on the other, social organisations, especially the coconut breakers, holders of almost no economic capital, but with important weight in the political and cultural spheres, who are trying to build an alternative project that can serve some of those excluded or harmed by the Grande Carajás Project (PGC).

A study of the Simplified Regime for small taxpayers, commonly called "Monotax", is developed in order to have an approximate view of the socioeconomic situation of the subjects included in the regime. It is analyzed under the constitutional aspects of the imperium of the State and its limits, to see if they are complied with in the application of the law, or if some aspects of the same can be considered outside the precepts that it grants as rights and guarantees to the citizens, as well as the International treaties consecrated at its level that protect the inalienable subjective rights of the human being. The lack of progressivity or even better the incongruence between patrimonial capacity and tax fixation is evident. The arbitrary fixing of the tax to be levied, plus the fixed amounts that contribute to Social Security and Social Security, equalize all categories, by not respecting a percentage of gross income, as it is done in the case of dependent workers.

The correct use of strategies and techniques will help to efficiently control waste generation in culinary schools worldwide. Considering the stages of the waste life cycle (generation, transportation, storage, collection, treatment and final disposal), will help to reduce in a great percentage the negative impact towards the environment and in this way take care of the planet thinking in future generations.

The Golden Age, a publication in magazine format of which only four issues were published, had a preferential place among the multiple activities of José Martí's New York life during the year 1889. For some it was a rest to the fiery spirit of the Apostle, who was organizing the revolution for the independence of Cuba; criterion that we do not share, since this literary work can be placed among the texts of greater revolutionary potential of all the times and it plays an essential function in his project of national liberation.

Emotional education is an educational, continuous and permanent process that aims to develop emotional competencies. Educational institutions should promote emotional education in order to increase individual and social well-being, contributing to the integral development of boys and girls. The Emotions of My World offers theoretical contributions for the understanding of Emotional Education and educational projects on: Emotional Literacy and Emotional Regulation, which were implemented in the first grades of School N°40: "Rosalia Fonseca de Aguilar" in the town of Speluzzi.

Early Childhood Education, as the first stage of Basic Education, requires a plural curriculum that must consider, among other aspects, the organisation of the daily actions that take place while children are at school. Since routine is the pedagogical category related to this organisation, this study set itself the general objective of analysing routine in Early Childhood Education, focusing on its contribution to the development of children's moral autonomy. To study moral autonomy, this book was based on Piaget's psychogenetic theory. Routine was discussed in the light of national and international scholars. The qualitative research used techniques from ethnographic studies. In relation to the routine, the results indicated that the timetables were rigid, the spaces inadequate and poorly structured, the activities did not arouse the children's interest and the materials were insufficient and unavailable; the teacher's interactions with the children did not favour the development of the children's moral autonomy. With regard to the teacher's conceptions of routine and autonomy, there was little understanding and a lack of clarity on these issues.

The objective of the present study was to compare the levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure in 60 canines from the Small Animal Clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, of which 30 were lean and 30 were overweight. The blood samples collected were processed by the photocolorimetry method and blood pressure was measured by the oscillometric method. The results showed hypertriglyceridemia in 16.67% of the overweight group, whereas 46.67% of the lean group and 90% of the overweight group showed hypercholesterolemia. Twenty percent of the lean group recorded elevated blood pressure values and 50% of the overweight group recorded these values. Nursing students provide care to families and their members with activities focused on family and community care. To this end, academic programs must be aligned to the characteristics of families in order to maintain and/or improve their health-related quality of life. As a whole, the analysis of family characteristics and the nursing interventions carried out by the students provide relevant information to the faculties and careers of nursing on the results of their academic programs and the impact of nursing interventions on the public health of the intervened communities. The evaluation of Health Related Quality of Life is useful to measure the impact of health interventions, since curative clinical measures only provide information on the effectiveness of treatments for a given disease and usually the people who are intervened are not surveyed about their perception of health, which includes the feeling of wellbeing and diligence in the care provided by the health team.

Morphometric analysis is a set of methods that describe geometric and compositional aspects of environmental systems. These methods have applications in environmental hydrological studies, when the environment of interest is undergoing changes in parts of its watercourses. Their aim is to clarify issues related to local environmental dynamics, revealing physical indicators and qualifying environmental changes. This study of the morphometric analysis of the Rio Branco-RO sub-basin used Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) images made freely available on the internet. The analysis was based on the geometric characteristics, relief and drainage network based on the Digital Elevation Model (DEM), with the support of the provider TauDEM (Terrain Analysis Using Digital Elevation Models). In addition, slope maps, river hierarchies, soil classification maps, hypsometric maps and land use maps were also produced.

This research focused on the historical development of the original Nasa people in the Colombian Cauca, as well as their relationship with the CRIC (Consejo Regional Indígena del Cauca), which is fundamental to analyze the global and continental development of indigenous social movements. It is a substrate to explain some of the contemporary mobilization actions in the region and the interactions between its components, such as the identity of the individual/collective subject, the Colombian conflict in its different nuances, the adversaries against whom the societal orientation is disputed and the different strategies and repertoires of action used to confront them. It draws on the most important theoretical elements of the global perspectives of social mobilization such as the North American theory of resource mobilization, the European paradigm of identity and the vast contribution that has recently begun to consolidate from different perspectives in Latin America, elements of each panorama that when contrasted and developed in a critical manner allow the use of lenses to understand the case of this movement, one of the first of its kind.

In view of the situational diagnosis of the teachers surveyed at the Paulo VI Campus of the State University of Maranhão, data was collected in mid-2016, with 50% of the staff of 480 permanent teachers in various courses and areas of academic knowledge, with a descriptive research and quantitative approach where the inclusion criteria: having their registration on the study campus and being full professors and the exclusion criteria: Professors not working on the Paulo VI campus, contracted professors, professors away on holiday or leave, there was a need for an intervention proposal entitled UEMA Professor Health Promotion Programme.

This study focused on interdenominational disparities in the involvement of churches in the quality of education in the educational province of North Kivu II. The aim was to estimate the level of variation in indicators of the quality of schooling for children in the province in relation to the characteristics of the school management partners, i.e. the churches. After analyzing and processing the data, the author came to the conclusion that church schools in the province do not host an equitable number of pupils/schoolchildren across the province's various sub-divisions. As for the quality of education indicators, after observing the relative representativeness index, primary school completion rates, gender parity index and TENAFEP student results, it emerges that disparity is significantly evident between the different church school managers, and average TENAFEP student scores are significantly different across the different church and sub-division schools.

Strategic planning is a process adopted by organisations with the aim of achieving pre-established goals. In other words, it is a vision of where the organisation wants to be in the future. Strategic planning therefore describes the paths, actions, resources, opportunities and risks that the organisation will face in order to achieve its goals. Strategic Business Planning (SBP) focuses on the organisation's business, while IT Strategic Planning (ITSP) focuses on IT. So, taking Brazilian technology-based companies as a backdrop, this study aims to answer what influence the IT executive's knowledge of the business and the business executive's knowledge of IT have on the organisation's strategic alignment maturity? Strategic alignment provides the organisation with parameters for analysing its current position and allows it to have a concrete vision of where it can go, showing that business decisions must be aligned with IT in order for the organisation to achieve its objectives and goals.
