Urban mobility is a key planning issue in Brazilian cities and is demanded by the Ministry of Cities. However, the development of Historical Heritage areas leads to slow development and, with it, the degradation of these areas, creating problems of Mobility, Accessibility, Tourism and valorization of the listed area and its surroundings. This book deals with the Historic Heritage area in the city of São Mateus-ES in order to create solutions for Urban Mobility and Accessibility.

The theme of this analysis is the role of subsistence agriculture in the process of capital accumulation after the formal establishment of free labor in Brazil in 1888. Dialoguing with dependency theories used in studies of the Latin American and Brazilian agrarian question, the complexity of the Brazilian economy is viewed from a three-sector model of capital accumulation. The dynamic equilibrium of the production of capital goods (DI), capitalist consumption goods (DII) and wage goods (DIII) and the demand structure of capitalists and workers. The dynamic interactions between capital and labor in Brazil and agricultural production are visualized in the sub-sectors of export agriculture (Sx), domestic market agriculture (Si) and subsistence agriculture (Ss). The main emphasis of the analysis is on the latter sub-sector, which is currently being explored in rural studies of peasant and family farming. The interactions between DI, DII and DIII and the distribution of income associated with them define the three different patterns of capital accumulation analyzed in The crisis of the agrarian-export model, Structural changes from 1930 to 1954 and The process of capital accumulation since 1989.

The debate around employability and the integration of young people into the job market has been very relevant in Brazil. From an early age, we are exposed to the demands of employability, which can often be accompanied by frustration for young people who start their professional journey without proper guidance. Supposedly with the aim of qualifying them and thus promoting their professional initiation, many programs have been created by the Brazilian Federal Government to enable the necessary training in the transition from childhood to adulthood. In this context, it is assumed that professional apprenticeship, as theory acquired in the training institution and as practice exercised in the contracting company, allows young people to acquire a profession, achieve their first experience as a worker and thus begin to build and consolidate their employability and, moreover, their professional identity. The challenge of integrating young people into the job market is a challenge for young people themselves and their families, for society and for governments, which is why we set out to analyze the integration of young people into the job market through apprenticeships.

In hospital, recognising that a patient is at the end of their life and correctly anticipating the time they have left to live are difficult tasks for staff, but essential if good quality care is to be achieved. In emergency departments, this problem arises frequently and complicates the organisation of work. If death is imminent, the patient is taken care of on the spot. If this is not the case, the rules of emergency medicine dictate that the patient should be transferred to other hospital departments, which are often reluctant to accept dying patients. Despite its similarities with intensive care, geriatrics and general medicine, emergency medicine remains a specific discipline. Therapeutic limitation and withdrawal have emerged in recent years, and their application to patients with a hopeless prognosis has become standard practice. Our study, based on a review of the literature, examines the ethical aspects of limiting and discontinuing active therapies in emergency medicine.

Is there an impact of municipal spending on education on the proficiency of students in Brazil's municipal school systems? A detailed analysis of municipal data and standardized proficiency tests assesses the extent to which greater public spending on education translates into better quality teaching. What is shown is that increasing the volume of resources is not synonymous with gains in proficiency. More than resources, what is needed is good management, both in the secretariats and in the schools.

The aim of this work was to evaluate the productivity of the dry cowpea crop, cultivar BRS Itaim in the municipality of Sorriso-MT as a function of plant population density. The experiment was set up in a commercial area on March 8, in a randomized block design with six population densities and four replications. The population densities used were: 80, 120, 160, 200, 240 and 280 thousand plants per hectare. The variables analyzed were: final stand, number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod, pod length, weight of 100 grains and yield. The data was submitted to analysis of variance using the F test at 5% probability and the averages were submitted to regression analysis at 5% probability. The results show that the production of cowpea [(Vigna unguiculata) (L.) Walp.)] cultivar BRS ITAIM is viable on a commercial scale for domestic consumption and especially to meet the demand for the product in the American, European, Asian and African markets. These potential partners consume our production.

Trademarks, which have been used since ancient times, play a fundamental role in designating the origin of products or manufacturers, as well as being extremely important in relations between companies and consumers, as they act as a security factor for both, making it easier to identify the attributes of products and companies. In Brazil, they were regulated by Decree No. 2,682 of 1875 and are currently governed by Law No. 9,279 of May 14, 1996. They are registered by the INPI and are considered to be the most important intellectual property. This study assesses whether companies in Sergipe promote the protection of their trademarks through registration and investigates whether the use of registration is satisfactory or not, with the aim of providing an overview of the state in relation to trademark registration so that it is later possible to outline actions and objectives to promote a culture of trademark protection.

Healthy working relationships are the result of environments in which respect and ethics are part of everyday work, conceived as central and organizing people's lives. Although these values are fundamental, a number of factors in the contemporary context due to numerous changes have contributed to the increase in violence at work, given that this situation has been manifesting itself in institutional relations for a long time. However, its forms of manifestation have changed, in line with the configuration of economic and socio-political relations, as we will see in the chapters. According to the Ministry of Health (2014), bullying is abusive, frequent and repetitive conduct that manifests itself through words, acts, gestures, behavior or writing, which humiliates, embarrasses and disqualifies a person or group, affecting their dignity and physical and mental health. They are present in the organization of work in both the public and private spheres and are characterized by actions that take away the worker's capacity for creation and satisfaction, causing pain and suffering.

With a view to facilitating the professional integration of its students, the University of Dschang has set up professional training courses, including the Banking-Insurance-Stock Exchange course. To obtain a professional Master's degree in this field, students must complete a work placement, at the end of which they must write and defend a dissertation. It was with this in mind that we applied for and obtained an academic placement at BICEC in Bafoussam. During our placement, we noted shortcomings in the distribution, communication and customer relations departments. We started from the premise that the innovation of banking products in line with technological developments and good marketing and distribution techniques for banking products would help to improve the bank's financial performance. It is with this in mind that this work aims to make a significant contribution, on the one hand to increasing sales of BICEC products, including the acquisition of the bank's best market share at national level, and on the other hand to increasing its financial performance.

This research aims to assess the level of satisfaction of students completing the courses offered by PRONATEC at SENAI in Ponta Grossa-PR. It analyses the conceptual, theoretical and empirical question of the implementation of public policies through professional qualification courses. Comparing PRONATEC and the productive sector and labour market policies in the current context. Evaluating education, skills development and technical training and whether public policies are really strengthening opportunities for youth employment and whether workers' fundamental rights are being respected, strengthening opportunities for employment.

ADHD is one of the most widely researched problems in child development, which has aroused unusual interest in recent years among the scientific community, but also among other stakeholders who live closely with this disorder, such as doctors, psychologists, teachers, educators and parents of these children. Despite significant scientific advances and its widespread dissemination, we are still referring to a subject shrouded in myths and misconceptions, which require clarification, so that students with ADHD can be better understood, thus safeguarding adequate school support for these children, and also ensuring an important contribution for those who deal with the problem on a daily basis, such as teachers, whose knowledge of this disorder is empirical and their actions/relationship with these students intuitive, and most of the time not the most appropriate. There is a consensus that the core symptoms of ADHD play a decisive role in the emergence of associated problems in the school context. At the same time, the literature highlights that the high degree of comorbidity in ADHD worsens its prognosis in this area. We need to know in order to intervene.

This book considers, the evolution of cotton ginning machines, in particular linter units, and analyzes the development and automation of linter units on the example of the leading countries of the world, for further improvement of the domestic light industry and its units. At studying theoretical sources and consideration of practical problems at cotton ginning plants it was revealed that the quality of processed seeds on linters and received products, namely "Cotton lint" need to take measures to improve their quality. This is the aim of the research conducted in this monograph.

The growing movement to end obstetric violence has a lot to do with a growing call for women to be given back their births, while offering them natural ways to relax and control labour pain. The literature review shows a clear advantage in using the aquatic environment to support women in labour, but very little can be found about the experiences of these women, "water mothers". This book arose from the author's interest in knowing and understanding this experience. It is a descriptive exploratory qualitative study, with an interpretative phenomenological orientation, carried out through semi-structured interviews with women with this experience, from Greater Porto and Greater Lisbon. The participants' great enthusiasm and recommendations regarding the use of water for childbirth and its implications for obstetric practices stand out.

This research addresses the issue of the environment, health and quality of life, with an emphasis on the public water supply in the Vila Vitória neighborhood in Imperatriz - MA. The main objective of the research is to analyze the quality of the water offered to the population of the Vila Vitória neighborhood, as well as to identify the reasons why residents do not have water in their taps throughout the day. In order to carry out the study, a bibliographical and documentary review was carried out with authors and laws that deal with the subject, and the hypothetical deductive method with a qualitative and quantitative approach was applied in the development of the research. In the field research, samples of the water distributed to the population were collected for microbiological and bacteriological analysis. Questionnaires were also administered to the residents of the Vila Vitória neighborhood, as well as to the person responsible for handling the well and the Secretariat of Agriculture of Imperatriz - MA. The results of the analysis showed that the water is suitable for consumption, but the deficit in the public supply harms the quality of life of the neighborhood's population, a fact proven by the answers obtained in the questionnaires applied to the interviewees.

Researching the cell we discovered that there is a large "alpha pi" complex organized in plexuses within it, under the hegemony of the guanine alpha pater (paternal fathers) in the microtubules. These plexuses are the organelles, always functioning in pairs. The golgi plexus is the most important maternal plexus, as it contains two groups of distinct gene inheritance; (CIS guanines and TRANS adenines) maternal and paternal fathers, with all plexuses under the hegemony of microtubules, always respecting a cellular criterion. Decoding the Human Genome in Microtubules follows the same line of decoding as the Human Genome found in chromosomes. This book also talks about the intermolecular relationships that exist in our organism, where molecules have an extraordinary capacity to standardize the most different treatments and are capable of reading, commanding, executing, arranging, transporting, cleavaging and closing in the same way as microtubules.

New contexts influence the debates and practices of art education in Brazil and open up new fields of enquiry for decolonial critique. By demanding consideration of the role of artistic representations in the production and reproduction of the "colonial difference", various studies have been initiated that question artistic disciplines and the regime of the gaze from the concepts proposed by decolonial criticism. In this way, the debates proposed to rethink art/education in contemporary times, including decolonial thinking, are called upon to reintroduce and represent the geographical and epistemological discontinuity regarding art and aesthetic expressions. This work was produced from these questions, seeking to investigate alternatives towards other educational narratives in the context of art education in everyday school life.

Our aim in writing this book has been to try, through the analysis of recognised authors, to arrive at a more exact vision of what alchemy is and what its practice consists of. We cover all the points of the alchemical work, starting with the initial materials, their preparation, the operations involved in the course of the whole process, right up to the final conclusion of the alchemical work. We quote various passages from different authors, many of them unpublished in Portuguese, so that the reader can draw their own conclusions. In this way, we hope to have been able to provide a more in-depth view of what alchemy is and how it is practised, and to enable those readers who wish to delve deeper to follow in their own footsteps.

Among the missions assigned to man, "educate and train" occupy a place of choice. The school is one of the notorious moulds for the positive development of human attitudes and aptitudes, with a view to personal fulfillment and social integration. In opting for this ideal, we must remember that an educational philosophy reflects a social philosophy. And social philosophy is seen as a blueprint for guiding the educational process, suggesting appropriate objectives based on life's diversities, while helping to prepare the younger generation to face the challenges of the modern age. It is in this context that this study, divided into three essential sections, has devoted itself to a concise and precise examination of the main problems of education, with concomitantly suggested attempts at solutions, under the semantic coding of remaking "the philosophy of education in Congo-Brazzaville". To intelligibly address some of the major challenges facing the Congolese education system, following the approach of a socio-philosophical ethic circumscribed to the context of the Congo; such is the problematic evoked in this work.

Basic sanitation in the world is still extremely poor, causing serious problems for public health and claiming the lives of millions of children every year. The construction of Evapotranspiration Tanks (TEvap), a decentralised environmental technology that is easy to apply and low cost, provides important local ecosystem services. This study looks at the implementation of 80 TEvap units in the Batoque Extractive Reserve in terms of environmental services and ecological aspects, related to the actions of the "Recovery of the Batoque Lagoon" project. 74 of the 80 planned units were implemented, with an approximate reduction of 88.8 tonnes of waste from the treatment of 11,444.4 kl of sewage and carbon sequestration of approximately 0.05 tC/ha.year-¹ during the period 03/2011 to 12/2012. This generated savings of R$50,620.18 for the public purse. The implementation of the TEvap demonstrated considerable environmental services for the residents of the Batoque Extractive Reserve, especially in the treatment of residential sewage and the reduction of local rubbish.

Parental Alienation is a social phenomenon in which one of the parents uses the child as an instrument of revenge against the other parent, in the face of marital breakdown, by implanting false ideas and without taking into account the damage that will be caused. This process is sneaky and takes place in the privacy of homes, which makes it difficult to prove. People often use clandestine recordings and hidden cameras as a means of proof. Obtaining evidence that violates any principle, such as privacy, is forbidden in the legal system. Observing the high incidence of cases of Parental Alienation in society and the prohibition of illicit evidence, the need was felt to verify the admissibility of evidence obtained by illicit means to prove Parental Alienation. To this end, the work studies Fundamental Principles and Rights, Parental Alienation and Evidence Law. The result of the research takes an unexpected turn.

Intersectoral actions are emerging at the moment as a way of tackling the population's complex needs in a more integrated way, seeking health effects from interventions in the chain of social determination of the health-disease process. It is based on the principle that it is not possible to promote health with the sector acting in isolation. In this study, the Family Health Strategy is valued for the possibility of inserting workers in the territory and for being the Brazilian strategy for reorienting the care model, which implies changes in the concept of health-disease, in health practice and paradigm. The aim was to find out the perception of the programme's workers in a region of São Paulo, Brazil, about intersectoral work, through a hermeneutic-dialectic analysis of the discussions held in a workshop on the subject. It was found that, despite their perception of the influence of precarious living and working conditions on the health of the population they serve, the workers do not identify intersectorality as a strategy, they have sporadic intersectoral relationships permeated by power relations and fragile social participation.

Water is a natural resource that is essential for human survival and has become an asset of high social and economic value. In João Lisboa over the years there have been several problems related to the consumption and waste of water resources arising from the activities carried out by car washes in the city's urban perimeter. Thus, this study aimed to analyze car washes and their environmental impacts in the urban area of João Lisboa-MA. A qualitative, quantitative, descriptive and field approach was used, with the aim of proposing a treatment method and analyzing the feasibility of setting up a car wash with water treatment and reuse. Water was also collected for laboratory analysis to identify four elements: cadmium, copper, iron and chunbo. As a result, a large amount of waste and water contamination by these car washes was noted. Within the scope of environmental management, it is essential to integrate the public and private sectors in order to promote awareness, rights and duties of the company within the proposed legal aspects, as well as promoting the best use of water resources.

Appendicitis remains the most frequent digestive pathology among abdominal surgical emergencies. Diagnosis of this condition is not always straightforward. In the past, diagnosis was based primarily on clinical manifestations and laboratory results, but in around half of all patients an atypical appendicular syndrome was present, making it impossible to confirm the diagnosis. Today, imaging tests such as ultrasound and CT scans are increasingly used to confirm or exclude the diagnosis quickly, and avoid unnecessary surgical intervention. Nonetheless, treatment remains surgical and involves emergency surgery, combined with antibiotic therapy, the duration of which depends on the severity of the inflammation. Anatomopathological analysis of the appendix is crucial, so as not to overlook an associated or underlying diagnosis, notably inflammatory or tumoral pathologies.

Growth is a central objective in the management of children with chronic kidney disease (CKD). This book reviews the growth patterns observed in children with CKD, as well as the causes of growth disorders and the signs and causes of protein energy loss in pediatric CKD.Methods of assessing growth and nutritional status, and the limitations of these measures in CKD, will also be reviewed.Management strategies to optimize growth and nutrition in children with CKD, including the use of recombinant growth hormone. Finally, the chapter concludes with information on the neurological development of the child with CKD.

Professional Training and Innovative Pedagogical Practices in Afro-Brazilian Culture. The book expresses the actualisation of a trajectory of many struggles and successes, both for me and for the students who became writers together with me, as well as for the life stories of the subjects researched. It was in these daily activities, in a pedagogical and academic training programme, that this scientific production emerged. The authors were centred on the need to construct meaning, on the urgency of recovering socio-cultural content in order to fully understand the history of Brazilian society and the contribution of black people to the social, economic and cultural construction of the country, and I was eager to learn how to contribute to this cause. Working on this line of research in Human Rights and Diversity represented the possibility of fulfilling a goal, highlighting the awareness of the school's role in avoiding silence about any form of discrimination, and racism is a cruel way of dominating some over others. To enable the intellectual potential of thousands of brilliant minds to flourish in Brazilian schools, preventing them from being imprisoned by prejudice.

This book analyzes school dropout at a Federal Public Education Institution. It is understood that this phenomenon encompasses the definitive departure of the student from their course of origin and as an object of national educational public policies. The aim was to analyze the causes that have been attributed to school dropout, drawing attention to the need to take into account the intra-school and extra-school factors involved in the process, be they social, political, economic and/or pedagogical. In this way, this book makes a qualitative analysis of the phenomenon of dropout within the scope of Technical Professional Education at Secondary Level and is part of the context of initiatives aimed not only at understanding the factors that motivate students to leave their courses, but also at contributing to discussions regarding the policies developed for this type of education.

The aim of this book is to systematise knowledge about the fundamental aspects of the rescission action in Brazilian procedural law, taking into account the legislative transition between the CPC/73 and the NCPC. To this end, fundamental notions about destabilisation in Brazilian law are presented. The following themes stand out in particular as the subject of the chapters: the axiological structure of the rescission action - the values and principles responsible for shaping the rules of destabilisation -; the object of the rescission action - which stabilities can be broken by means of the rescission mechanism -; the grounds for destabilisation - which hypotheses authorise the breaking of stability -; and, finally, the time limits for destabilisation - how long a procedural stability should last.

The craft beer market in Brazil is growing every year and artisanal producers are gaining more ground with consumers. Small breweries, brewpubs and other models of establishments have sprung up all over Brazil, aiming to offer products with greater quality and sensory complexity, inspired by the traditional brewing schools that are already well-established but without abandoning their Brazilian influences.

The proper disposal of waste from various human activities is a major challenge for society. This research therefore investigates the performance of solid waste management in the municipality of Imperatriz in 2016 and 2017. To this end, a bibliographic survey was initially carried out, followed by field research at the Municipal Department of Infrastructure, Transportation and Public Services of Imperatriz-MA, with analysis of the records of manual collection and transportation of household, commercial, sweeping and tree pruning waste, and final disposal of waste in the years 2016 and 2017, in order to understand how solid waste management developed and the problems faced. The data obtained showed that although they are different administrations, the handling, collection and final disposal of waste in the period studied did not show significant changes, however the current administration stands out for its interest in setting up the Sanitary Landfill in Imperatriz, the construction project for this work was released after the execution of the Municipal Plan for Integrated Solid Waste Management - PMGIRS, 2018, which will enable the dump to be extinguished.
