This book looks at the use of theory classes in a traditionally practical subject by physical education teachers in the municipality of Umuarama-PR. The aim was to identify the percentage of theory classes used, the consensus among teachers in defining what corresponds to a theory class, whether there is resistance on the part of students to this methodology and, finally, to analyze the attitude and interpretation of teachers about the relevance of theory classes in the teaching and learning process. The method used was field research in which all the physical education teachers in the state public school system who work in secondary schools in Umuarama-PR were interviewed. The data presented aroused interest in how the relationship between theory and practice has been developed in physical education classes and what the possible consequences of an apparent dichotomy between the two might be in the school environment.

Misery, a pitiable state of extreme poverty, has continued to decimate the world's population throughout the 20th century. It inevitably contributes to man's perdition. The novel being a story told to entertain and decry, Henry de Montherlant, in Les Célibataires, describes with bitter irony the miserable decline of aristocrats after the French Revolution of 1789 and the First World War. They live in ruin, poverty and atrocious unemployment, plunging them into the anguish and despair of an uncertain future. Misery pits the characters against each other in increasingly bitter conflictual relationships of misunderstanding and cruelty. The underlying problem is how to eradicate this social calamity once and for all, with a view to perfecting the human condition. Far from being a social scourge to be reprimanded, poverty nevertheless appears to be a challenge to those in power to become aware of and take responsibility for the role they have to play in the process of totally eradicating this social disease which is detrimental to the full development of mankind.

The problems derived from parasitic pathologies within the livestock population are of great importance from the medical and economic points of view. In animal production, changes can occur at the level of the primary centers of food production, which directly influences the appearance of infectious agents. In addition, the intensification of production systems favors the presence of enteric pathogens of special importance in Public Health. In this sense, climate change modifies the incidence and distribution of multiple pathologies, broadening the range of hosts and the severity of diseases due to the increase in the development capacity and transmission rate of the agent, with special repercussions on processes transmitted by fomites and live vectors or intermediate hosts. The phenomenon of emergence in several pathologies, some of them zoonoses, is related to the geographical situation, with outbreaks in recent decades of which more than 3% have been due to parasitic helminths. Consequently, the study of zoonoses should be approached with the utmost sanitary rigor.

For the past twenty years, public service reform has been an important issue for governments, social partners and international development institutions around the world. When it comes to the impact of these reforms, the social partners have different perspectives. These differences are reflected in the way studies on the effectiveness of decentralization and privatization are conducted. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of decentralization and privatization on municipal services. To carry out this study, we used the prospective cross-sectional descriptive method, with documentary and direct observation techniques. As indicated in the previous chapters, it is very difficult to determine very precise trends in the impact of decentralization and privatization on municipal services. Moreover, situations may vary within the same sector or geographical region.

The aim of the analysis we have undertaken in this book is to examine the political reality of the Central African Republic, to understand the colonial situation in relation to the emergence of the politician Barthélémy BOGANDA, whom we have discovered through his political thought and charismatic personality. When successive regimes run out of ideas or projects to lead their country, they refer to Barthélémy BOGANDA's charisma and make a string of them. Even in the 21st century, his successors (civilian and military) are still the cup of tea or coffee for the many politicians who fail to conjugate the five verbs of MESAN: Clothe, House, Care, Feed and Educate. The political ideals bequeathed by Barthélémy BOGANDA have been more instrumentalized than valorized in the Central African Republic since his tragic death. The various political regimes have made selective use of them, favouring those with a circumstantial connection to the political, social and cultural context of the time to legitimize their power.

nutritional deficiencies are a real public health problem in algeria Martial deficiency affects at-risk population groups (pregnant women and infants) in both developed and developing countries. In Algeria, the extent of the problem is not well known, as studies are rare and evaluation tools, such as biochemical indicators, are unreliable. Objectives - to determine the prevalence of martial deficiency in children aged zero to five in the city of Batna, to study its repercussions on the child's physical and psychomotor development, and to evaluate appropriate treatment and preventive measures. Materials and methods In a sample of 354 children aged zero to five in the city of Batna, we measured serum ferritin, hemoglobin and transferrin receptors, analyzed the clinical signs of deficiency and assessed the children's growth and psychomotor development. The deficient children were treated with an iron-based regimen, and follow-up tests were carried out at the end of the treatment. Results The prevalence of iron deficiency varies according to age group.

It is no secret that the Spanish university is undergoing a process of transition that involves important changes, both in form and substance. Changes in the educational paradigm, changes in the systems and in the way in which these are articulated on the basis of the evolution experienced by society and by the new geopolitical order that prevails in the old Europe. Changes of degree in some cases, of root in others, which require individual and collective reflection, linking the different groups involved in a process that is not immediate, fluctuating and with difficulties. In this context, the role of emotions is analyzed in a double aspect; on the one hand, as a coadjuvant element that facilitates the transition towards the new scenario, on the other hand, as a focus of interest to enrich and improve the body of competences that society demands from university students.

In this book, the point of the critique of zouglou rhythm was to concede an archetypal function to Kantian aesthetics. Analysis of the traditional features of zouglou reveals that, according to Kant's aesthetic formalism, the universal destination of this music lies in the form of its works. This point of view enshrines the aesthetic and artistic plenitude of zouglou, but also seems to call for an examination of its communicative dimension. Communication in zouglou remains modelled on that of art in general: empirical communication and formal communication. According to Kant's thesis of the autonomy of art, only formal communication expresses the truth of the art object. It was thanks to the form of its works that the zouglou genre achieved world music status. Despite the influence of this new world of artistic expression characterized by advertising and its corollaries, a dialectical view of music presents World music as a moment of enrichment for zouglou. Moreover, the self-referential, neutral character of the advertising image is a sign of a return to the conclusions of Kantian aesthetics.

However, there are places that use manual development, where chemical solutions are needed for the process. For this reason, it is essential to know how all the procedures work correctly, and to properly dispose of the waste generated in order to have as little impact on the environment as possible. The aim of this book is to inform, raise awareness and help professionals and students about the processes and procedures that exist in dental practices and clinics that use a manual process for developing intraoral radiographic examinations.

Conventional pineapple cultivation is contributing to rapid soil degradation on bar land in southern Benin. To counter this degradation of soil fertility, initiatives combined with international market demands have been developed to introduce organic pineapple. Despite its expansion, Beninese organic pineapple is struggling to find a place on the international market. There is a growing lack of motivation among growers, a reduction in the area sown, a switch by organic growers to conventional pineapple and the closure of certain pineapple processing units. The most decisive factors for the development of this value chain in the face of ever-increasing demand for organic products on the international market, especially in Europe, are: promotion of the organic pineapple value chain, capacity-building for players at different levels, access to strategic information (commercial information, information on materials), the drawing-up of business plans and their financing.

The present essay is a compilation of pseudo-scientific ideas and essays on some science topics and an attempt to generate some physical-social analogies. Probably the introduction of the concept of the quantum Zeno effect applied to journalism is the most valuable part of this paper. I try to address issues related to science policy issues in Mexico and therefore the way in which resources are or should be spent, resources that, by the way, unlike the universe or human stupidity (as Albert Einstein said), unfortunately, are not infinite. In my opinion, a large part of the national scientific community fails to understand this simple concept.

Monitoring spectral characteristics over time using satellite images is scientifically recognised as providing information that can be associated with the type of cultivar or variety, vigour, density, health, nutrition and phenological stages, by conveniently using the electromagnetic information reflected by the earth's surface, using, for example, so-called vegetation indices. Knowledge of the spectral signature of different irrigated rice cultivars is an important tool for monitoring and inspecting agricultural crops, as it can facilitate the work of public certification bodies and grain receiving industries. This study monitored the cultivars IRGA 409, IRGA 424, IRGA 426, IRGA 428, IRGA 429, IRGA 430, PUITÁ and GURI. By associating field data and NDVI time profiles throughout the crop cycle, the spectral characteristics of the cultivars were described. The spectral behaviour of the different cultivars can be differentiated, but it is clear that this depends critically on the quality of the data and the processing.

The central problem of this research revolves around how Sustainable Development Goal 10 (SDG 10) of the UN's 2030 Agenda, taking the contemporary refugee crisis in Europe as an example, can be an alternative to avoid new humanitarian crises and eliminate barriers already faced by individuals who are already on European soil. Reducing inequalities within and between countries, the content of SDG 10, translates elements from both theory and international legislation on development as the integration of all, without distinctions or barriers. The theme exemplifies the urgency of a new development paradigm, based on human rights and harmony between the economic, social, political and environmental dimensions.

The purpose of this book will be to build a strategic management model for rehabilitation through physical activity in adults with spinal cord injury. It is developed based on the qualitative methodology within the interpretative paradigm supported by the hermeneutic method, oriented in the Ontological, Epistemological and Methodological planes centered on the postulates of the theory of Complexity proposed by Morin (2001), the theory of Stigma by Goffman (2006) and the theory of Planning Management proposed by Ander-Egg (2006); because it will be known how the processes are interpreted in the rehabilitation and physical activity of adults with spinal cord injury. Following Dilthey's hermeneutic circle model, where thought goes from the whole to the parts and from the parts to the whole, then the triangulation of the various sources will be carried out, from whose analysis the findings of the strategic management model will emerge through physical activity and rehabilitation of adults with spinal cord injury.

Flow cytometry is a biotechnology that is little known in Algeria, but has gradually become a standard practice in a large number of clinical biology and research laboratories, thanks to the diversity of its applications. The world of cellular immunology, through surface and intracellular antigen expression, is becoming better and better known, thanks to the development of a variety of reagents (monoclonal antibodies) available for multiple labeling, and the mastery, technical sophistication and automation of the equipment available. In such a context, the book I am proposing to readers is very useful for learning the fundamentals of cytometry, the basic knowledge that helps young biologists and/or cytometrists to exploit them so that they can become familiar with this field. In addition, this book focuses on one of the most frequent pathologies in hematology, acute leukemia, where we provide all the latest immunophenotypic knowledge, as well as an extensive bibliographical review comparing Algerian work with international data.

Human concerns are present today, and it is believed that this is due to the way society presents itself. That is, as a liquid state. As a result, life no longer has any meaning for people. Human beings often think so much about themselves that they end up forgetting their neighbours. With so many insecure paths to follow, with so many trends proposed for a more peaceful life, how can we understand this question of happiness? Does it really exist? If it does exist, how can we live it to the full? Faced with these questions, the aim of this book is to present the concept of a happy life, according to Augustinian thought. It begins with the origin of the word happiness in ancient times, goes through some renowned authors, continues with a commentary on St Augustine's De Beata Vita, and ends by relating the concept of happiness to love, especially the love of God. A must-read for those who want to delve deeper into the question of the meaning of life in the Augustinian conception.

This work consisted in the elaboration of an "Artisanal Cheddar Cheese with the addition of natural achiote coloring" where the main and fundamental material is cow's milk. In the process of making the cheese, natural vegetable coloring extracted from seeds of the plant species called Bixa orellana L., "Achiote", was added to the curd. In the province of Jujuy, achiote is an ornamental plant and in some cases the product from grinding the red-colored seeds is mixed with paprika or not for use as a colorant, which gives a yellow-reddish coloration (Aristizábal, 2017; Ponce, 2018). Taking into account that this plant resource is available in San Pedro de Jujuy, the elaboration of a Cheddar-type cheese colored with annatto is proposed.

The accumulation of working hours, low salaries, the accumulation of duties beyond the classroom and a multiple professional profile that distracts from the teaching-learning process would be central reasons for teachers becoming ill. This book aims to analyse the relationships between stress, psychological well-being, orientation and life satisfaction and the socio-demographic and work-related factors of public school teachers located in Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil.
