1960 marked a decisive stage in the formerly colonized territories of Africa. It was the year of grouped independence for several of Africa's "new states". Sixty-two years later, it's time to take stock of what these African countries have achieved, and to analyze the endogenous and exogenous factors that are holding Africa back in its continental integration process. This collective work is an epistemic exegesis on the question of Africa's regional integration and its march towards the formation of the United States of Africa. Through the construction of infrastructures and federating projects, the continent's leaders have been striving to achieve the objectives bequeathed to them by the founding fathers. Despite this awareness of the project to create a federation of integrated states, there is still a long way to go. To achieve this, all the peoples of Africa must therefore join forces to make the Pan-Africanist ideology of the sons and daughters of the interior and the diaspora, who have sacrificed so much to achieve this ultimate leitmotiv, pragmatic.

The present research work seeks to identify and describe the didactic role of the teacher in the teaching of ethics at the high school level. With a qualitative approach; of an exploratory-descriptive type, studying a sample of twenty high school students, four teachers and a principal; applying the techniques of: interview, questionnaire and observation grid, five methodologies were analyzed; community work projects, debates, collaborative work, case studies and Problem based learning (PBL). The data obtained show that the role currently played by the ethics teacher is one of commitment to his or her work; however, even though many of the teachers have the aforementioned technical training and know the benefits of applying them, they do not carry them out. It was found that these methodologies contribute to the students' interest in the study of ethics and that they should be taught in a critical and participative manner to achieve an internalization of values in the students. Likewise; that students maintain interest in the problems of their community to a greater degree, when they live community experiences finding sense to be ethical.

This work deals with the subject of competition law in the maritime sector, its evolution over the last two centuries in the European Community, the importance of competition regulation, the path travelled until the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), its historical evolution and normative structure, at the level of Community law in the maritime sector. Another subject will be liner conferences, their historical evolution and the way they were regulated in the European Union up until the UNCTAD Code of Conduct on Liner Conferences. Finally, some aspects of the regulation of competition law in the maritime sector at national level will be addressed, i.e. in my country, Cape Verde, where we will focus on competition law in the Constitution of the Republic of Cape Verde, the role of the state in regulating competition, the abolition of the Maritime and Port Agency with the creation of the Maritime and Port Institute and finally the provisions applicable to companies included in Decree-Law 53/2003 of 24 November.

Currently in the EU, food operators are responsible for the production of safe food for consumption, and the HACCP system is a mandatory self-monitoring tool that is implemented to prevent problems affecting food safety. In the book presented here, a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system has been designed for the production line of fresh cheese with light orange marmalade developed in the Food Science and Technology Pilot Plant as part of the Practicum course. The proposed self-control model was based on the general principles of the Codex Alimentarius on Food Hygiene. The work includes an exhaustive search for information on the hazards that can affect raw materials and manufacturing processes and a review of the legislation currently in force.

In violation of constitutional and labor procedural principles in Ecuador, specifically in the city of Guayaquil, in the Ministry of Labor Relations and Labor, most labor inspectors omit procedural rules and take very lightly the institution of Visto Bueno in its development until its resolution, this can not happen because it decides the fate of the labor relationship between worker and employer. With ambiguities or omission of procedural rules, guidelines for all procedures, there will never be effective justice.

This text presents an investigation about the relationships that contemplate and shelter identity within recreational spaces. From the educational action research, it analyzes how recreation can promote free decision and how it can form a person more conscious of herself and of the environment that surrounds her to strengthen her identity. By observing under what arguments the young women in the research consolidate their identity, it was investigated how these identity processes are conceived, through the collective construction of recreational spaces, and an environment of curiosity was generated through free decision. Recreation seen as an autotelic and free space that does not seek products beyond one's own experience that welcomes the freedom to decide and express, the possibility of being through consciousness and collective construction in spontaneity. Recreational spaces harmonized new forms of interaction, through autonomy, free participation, recognition and awareness of the environment and of themselves.

The evidence is the tool that allows the tax administration to clarify the facts subject to controversy, reaching a conviction regarding the reality itself that allows it to rule in justice, which is the result of a critical, deep, judicious and free of vices analysis, which allows it to believe that the solution of the conflict coincides with the truth of the facts. Thus, exogenous information is an evidentiary element and, as such, is subject to the principle of publicity and contradiction. Depending on the way the facts of the tax discussion process are developed, such evidence, in certain cases, may be a direct input of the ruling by the jurisdiction against the taxpayer, since the lifting of the presumption of truthfulness of the tax returns, in harmony with the application of the judgment of valuation of the evidence provided by the taxpayer, turns the exogenous information into conclusive evidence of tax inaccuracy. In addition, when the relationship between the indicator fact and the indicated fact is so close, it allows to have certainty of the violation of law.

This manuscript is intended for textile engineering students at the National Engineering School of Monastir. It focuses on the physico-chemical properties of protein-based textile materials.The text is clear and concise, and illustrated with numerous didactic diagrams. The theoretical bases are presented in a logical and progressive manner throughout the chapters.The book is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces wool fibers. The second chapter examines the production and properties of silk fibers. The third chapter deals with other protein fibers of animal origin. The final chapter looks at methods for identifying protein fibers and their care. At the end of the manuscript, the reader will be able to evaluate his or her knowledge by answering the various application exercise questions.

Parkinson's disease, characterised by the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc), is the second neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's, affecting approximately 1% of the population aged around 65. The disease is characterised clinically by resting tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia and postural instability. Pioglitazone, a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor agonist, has been shown to attenuate dopaminergic cell loss in the MPTP animal model of PD, an effect attributed to its anti-inflammatory properties. The present study investigated the motor and cognitive effects obtained by pioglitazone, a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma agonist, in an intranigral MPTP-induced Parkinson's disease model. Results showed that acute treatment generated some levels of neuroprotection. In contrast, chronic treatment led to a reduction in striatal DA caused by MPTP. These findings suggest that acute administration of pioglitazone 30mg/kg was more effective in generating beneficial effects on motor behaviour and striatal DA levels.

This book aims to analyse the system of judicial precedents and their application in Brazilian law. It is well known that the judgements of the Brazilian courts have varied greatly, with an absurd number of conflicting decisions. This is why the theory of judicial precedents was implemented in Brazil, with the aim of standardising case law. This is the only way to guarantee legal certainty, demonstrating the credibility of the Judiciary to the courts.

The aim of this book is to reflect on the importance of sensitive listening on the part of the Early Childhood Education teacher for the integral development of the child in meeting all their physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs, always aiming for affectivity, through play and the values inculcated in early childhood. We sought to understand how this sensitive listening happens and how it can be developed from the point of view of the authors Wallon, Piaget and Vygotsky, making an analogy with the sensitivity of the dormouse plant and how children react to the teacher's touch. Through experiences in the classroom, I try to describe how to develop sensitive listening, which will be an ongoing challenge.

This work is composed of thirty-six chapters and is conceived as reading material or as a textbook for higher education. We will also analyze the factors to be considered to make possible the recreation that we all wish for the well-being of all, here too, probably, because of the complexity of the task, we may miss some factors that may be important. With a certain audacity we will offer a vision of what recreation is today, considering that we live in a complex world, integrated by diverse cultures and levels of socio-economic development. Moreover, with even greater audacity, we will suggest what is the immediate future of recreation in human life, in the near future, since it is not possible to predict even in the medium term what its evolution will be.

At present there are very few studies on the work of El Sexto by José María Arguedas. The studies carried out have focused on other works by this author, which were done, among others, by Cornejo Polar, Lienhard and Vargas Llosa. The readings that have been made to date on El Sexto tend to focus on problems of the social context experienced in Peru in the 1930s. Authors such as Antonio Melis and William Rowe go so far as to affirm that all of Ardent's work contains a profound political sense. Based on the above, through this text I will try to offer you a different reading from those previously mentioned. Through it, you will be able to see that the author moves along a different path from trying to preserve an archaic culture, or to return to a utopia. I will say that El Sexto tries to give account of what Arguedas himself once said: "... the division of the country into two universes, two worlds, totally different" and that is precisely how El Sexto's prison is divided, symbolically. The problem arises, precisely, when Arguedas makes these two worlds, so heterogeneous, so different and unreachable, manage to touch each other.

This book is a collection of essays and articles on sociology, culture and national reality written in the last 20 years. It starts from the pessimism that the way in which the left and its approaches to Peru have intervened, have wrongly constructed the history of the country and have led to a sovereign decadence of social knowledge as well as the construction of the state and society. This book does not outline many ways out of this nihilistic imbroglio, but it attempts to be a disruptive critique from sociology and intellectual work.

The growing concern about unemployment, unemployment, poverty, high informality in Latin American countries, precarious jobs, in addition to scarce - The reports of international organizations (ILO-OECD-GEM) certainly not encouraging - The report of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on the "high informality" that would be working as an unemployment insurance, set guidelines in several Latin American economies, such as Brazil, Argentina, etc. - The informal employment or activity is not taxed, or does much less than the formal one. Informal employment or activity does not pay taxes, or does so to a much lesser extent than the formalized, but these people use and need public services (health, security, transportation, etc.) Therefore the formalized ends up assuming the burden of such services to the informal, this generates a social problem, taxes not collected, recienten the system, which is affected in quality and quantity of service.- Of all these issues, there is much talk and if the "Informal Economy" is cause or effect of poverty. In my opinion, if we do not change to a model that "really privileges" formality, it is unlikely that the trend will change - It is time to stop worrying, to really "take care".

The reader will note that the security agenda is in theory a social construct, even though studies deal with the influence of the traditional media on civil opinion, but it is the electronic media that sets multiple agendas for discussion of the same issues. This is because social innovation in the production of symbols will also be a reflection of debates that will not begin until the agenda is established as a local emblem.

Today's society imposes on the individual to interact in an increasingly complex and changing world, so that he or she cannot be satisfied with basic skills, nor with a predetermined set of knowledge acquired in a school setting. The challenges facing education are increasing. Universities do not escape from this challenge, so students must be prepared in the use of techniques and strategies that enable them to obtain and understand the knowledge necessary for their performance as future professionals.

The book is a modest analysis of almost the totality of the letters sent by Martí to Gómez between 1877-1894, in it the feelings that impelled the Apostle to prepare what he called the "necessary war" are manifested. It gathers some of the Master's ideas present today in our philosophy of struggle, exemplified in the moment in which Martí considers that the Gómez-Maceo Plan lacked the necessary ingredient to make it viable, leaving latent that "among revolutionaries nothing can replace the bond of principles", then history would grant Martí the reason for his break with that project, which never constituted for him a renunciation to the struggle for independence, creating the premises later for a true revolutionary unity. It is addressed to lovers of history.

Technological advances have enabled universities to re-evaluate their ways of gathering, processing and disseminating information for teaching, research and their own administration. The librarian services offered to distance learning students was the focus of this work, which aimed to analyse the librarian's role, as well as present the services provided by libraries in distance learning, the means of communication between librarians and distance learning students and also the training of these librarians. The main results were that the bibliographic survey was the service most used by distance learning students, and that e-mail and telephone were the tools most used to communicate with these students.

This book presents a situational and contextual diagnosis based on the work of data collection within a research exercise carried out in a contractual framework by a consulting firm in anthropological projects, which was executed at the explicit request of an oil company operating in several departments of Colombia. Among the results obtained, the following stand out: firstly, the situation of women in the field, how unsafe and uncomfortable they feel in some situations or contexts, confirming the existence of discrimination; secondly, the arguments that justify its existence; it was also observed that support for workers in terms of possible denunciations or complaints regarding situations they may experience in the field is very scarce, and in turn, the spatial conditions in which these people live their daily lives. Based on this, recommendations are generated for a future intervention design on these aspects.

The social and production relations present in family farming have contexts that are peculiar to other models. One of these peculiarities refers to women's work and the lack of knowledge about the magnitude of their labour contribution to the family establishment, making it difficult to carry out and implement public policies aimed at gender equality in rural areas. This justifies the need for this research, which addresses issues relating to the daily life, work and self-perception of women farmers in a comparative study that contrasts the reality of women participating in the "Gender and Generation" programme with those who do not take part in any programme. This programme, created by the Cresol credit cooperative, aims to contribute to greater participation by women in the decision-making and management processes of family farms. Our proposal therefore aims to identify the importance of women farmers' work within the family establishment through their view of themselves and their work within the establishment, while also noting the possible effects of social programmes focused on women farmers.

In recent years, Brazil has been going through a period of great concern in the health context, due to the significant increase in cases of children diagnosed with microcephaly as a result of the Zika virus. We realise that the pathology is not a new phenomenon, and at different times it has already been described in the literature in association with diverse conditions. However, with regard to this new form of transmission by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, it has become worrying, since the number of cases has been alarming, affecting families with anguish and uncertainty about the cognitive damage caused to each child. For this reason, family groups are apprehensive about how to care for these babies from birth and throughout their development. Thus, this research allows us to better understand microcephaly in the current context and discuss the contributions of Psychology and Neuropsychology to the subject of the study and society in general.

Business is an economic and financial dynamic. Offences in the business world are criminal offences, severely punished by the law. In this pedagogical guide, we explain what each of the offences that caught our attention consists of (bounced cheques, bankruptcy, usury, deception, illicit pricing, theft, swindling, breach of trust, forgery) in terms of criminal law, what the constituent elements of these offences are, and our advice if you are a victim. The main feature is the use of court judgments to illustrate the procedure and penalties incurred by the perpetrators, and the jurisdictional reasoning that gives a warning to the players in this sector. This work is useful for anyone wishing to know about the criminal charges that can be brought against them in the course of their business. The aim is to help everyone involved in the business world understand the main offences.

The raison d'être of pedagogical practices for teachers is to look for an easy way among a thousand and one strategies that allow the student to apprehend a content, be it from any curricular area. Current education invites us to look for tools in the environment that facilitate our work and generate spaces for reflection that allow a more accessible route to learning every day, this leads to make the necessary adjustments, to make a stop along the way in the educational action only in order to improve it. The purpose of this research was to design a proposal with vallenato music as a learning facilitator in the teaching of chemistry. It was carried out in the municipality of Valledupar, under a descriptive diagnostic approach. The study showed that relating music to the teaching of chemistry constituted a valuable contribution that allowed to experience learning under a constructivist approach, overcoming the weaknesses found in the diagnosis, allowing the teacher a better classroom management.

Retirement is the action by which an actively working person, whether self-employed or employed, that is, with a dependency relationship, becomes inactive, since he/she stops working for a series of reasons, such as age, work time, illness or disability, this means the definitive cessation of work, therefore, he/she stops receiving his/her monthly income as salary and starts receiving a pension from the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security IESS, this pension is for life. During his working life, a worker contributes a percentage of his salary or wage to the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security, the retirement pension is according to the contribution.

The natural gases known to us in the country, as well as waste process gases from production, require the removal of H2S, organic sulfur andCO2 to meet the requirements of the specifications. H2Sremoval is necessary to ensure that the gas is not toxic and for environmental reasons to reduce SO2 emissions at the point of consumption. In addition, great importance is nowadays placed on reducing corrosion due to H2Sexposure. In conclusion, sulfur is today a valuable raw material, the obtaining of which is in any case interesting.The problem of purification of hydrogen sulfide-containing technological and waste gases of production has become important due to the increasing production and processing of high-sulfur gases. Thus, the development of technical solutions to reduceSO2 emissions from sources of pollution has caused the need for comprehensive technical and environmental monitoring.The monograph is intended for scientists and specialists working in the field of chemical technology of oil and gas processing, as well as students of bachelor's and master's degrees, and doctoral students of the above specialty.

The text is the result of scientific research by the author as part of the projects: "Quality care for children, adolescents and young people" and "Dream repairer". It reflects the importance of training the family to achieve the fulfilment of its functions, specifically to prevent behavioural disorders in schoolchildren. It consists of two chapters, which show the systematisation, evaluation and theoretical contribution of the contents referred to the categories: family, family orientation, behavioural disorders and prevention of behavioural disorders. The proposal, planned from an experiential training process, is considered a guidance tool for the prevention of behavioural disorders in schoolchildren, as it constitutes a process of interaction with the family, where the counsellor, through activity and communication, contributes to the development of knowledge and skills for the education of their children from experiential experience, creativity, professionalism, empathy and respect.

Over the years, the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which originated in Africa, has expanded its distribution in Brazil. The diseases it transmits - dengue, Zika virus and chikungunya - can manifest themselves as epidemics or endemics. As a result of the increase in mosquito breeding sites and consequently in cases of these diseases, tools to help reduce the epidemic cycle are valuable. Therefore, technologies that localise and indicate notifications of the disease in real time for agents who manage inspection activities in municipalities are useful. The aim of this project is to design a system that helps visualise these notifications through real-time mapping that can be edited by the administrator based on the notifications. The project will be modelled using digrams and mockups for future implementation. Through this, it is hoped that these agents will be able to check locations with reports of the disease for new outbreaks in the location itself and in nearby locations and thus be able to provide faster and more effective solutions.

The research was carried out following the "Six Sigma" methodology; for this purpose, a detailed analysis of the lumber production process was made, including production from the forest to lumber storage. With the help of descriptive statistics, the causes that generated the problem of low yields and poor wood quality, performance parameters and process capacity were identified. For this purpose, tools such as: baseline, cause-effect analysis, Pareto diagram, time and motion study, quality and yield study and Six Sigma analysis were used. It was determined that the production process was defined by the following parameters: the standard production time was 783.5 minutes per production cycle, 34% of the sawn timber was affected by various defects, yields of 229.7 pt/m3 and a sigma level of 2.4. Based on the causes of the problem and analysis of the results, a combined improvement was implemented in the primary sawmilling process and in the storage area.

The objective of this research is to design a sustainable model of cleaner production, which is validated through field observation as well as documentary research on the conditions in which the coal beneficiation plants located in the municipality of San Javier in the state of Sonora are currently operating.
