This study presents an analysis of the phenomenon of school dropout that occurred in the binational Informatics Technical Course at the Farroupilha Federal Institute, offered to Brazilian and Uruguayan students at the Quaraí/RS Reference Center, between 2015 and 2017, in the subsequent modality. This research is justified by the unique characteristic of the school dropout issue presented at this institution, as all the Brazilian students dropped out, in contrast to the Uruguayan students who remained until the end of the course, considering that the same number of places was offered to both nationalities. Using a qualitative methodology, this research was conducted as a case study. The instruments used to collect data included semi-structured interviews, bibliographical and documentary research. The theoretical review discussed throughout this work is based on an understanding of adult relationships, the relationship between work and binational technical education on the southern border in the face of school dropout. It also discusses the motivations behind the dropout phenomenon, revealing that these are driven by internal and external issues.

The study of business logistics seeks to establish a coordinated management of interrelated activities, leaving behind the old concept of only approaching them separately. Ballou (2006) conceptualised logistics as the process of planning, implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow of goods, services and information from the first production activities to the point of consumption, always in line with meeting customer expectations. In oil and gas companies such as Petrobras, this concept is becoming increasingly important, as they need to be prepared to deal with tools that require state-of-the-art technology, qualified staff capable of managing complex logistics and, above all, a vision of the future that exceeds the expectations of national demand for oil and oil products. The best way to consolidate support activities that meet expectations must be analysed and studied, with reduced costs, safety and innovations that are able to circumvent the environmental and distance biases of the Pre-Salt installations.

The aim of this book is to show, in a simple and dynamic way, the practice of psychotherapy, and how through it people do change. Aimed at all audiences, the author explains his interventions step by step, inviting the reader to witness a dozen treatments. Among the problems discussed are phobias, depression, grief and communication in couples, among others.

Sexuality appears as a hackneyed subject, which is both private and public; forbidden, delimited and regulated, assimilated to genital practice. In this context, sex education is mainly associated with youth as an object of intervention. The changes that occur in individuals at puberty and their consequent sexual-erotic awakening, lead to focus the actions of parents, educators and the State on the sexuality of young people. However, sexuality is much more than that, it involves both young and old, old people and children, women and men alike. It is precisely the adult population that absorbs the changes taking place in society with few tools to deal with them, especially since sexuality has been a taboo subject for centuries, with the social refusal to deal with the issues anywhere. This book is intended to serve as a kick-start towards putting adult sexuality education on the agenda. Secondly, it is intended as a technique for bridging this gap, leaving free its use and the results that can be proposed in contexts and particularities other than those proposed in this work.

Neurosciences are the sciences of the brain. They are concerned with describing and explaining the complex structures and intricate functioning specifically of the Neocortex (human brain), Limbic System and Spinal Cord. Psycholinguistics, an intersecting discipline, describes and explains how the healthy brain handles language, which areas are activated in the production and comprehension of linguistic messages. Neurolinguistics, on the other hand, describes and explains which and why, in a diseased brain, some linguistic functions are no longer activated and which areas are neutralized. Finally, Psycholinguistics deals with the functions of language in a brain (basically neocortex and limbic system) under normal conditions, and Neurolinguistics allows us to know the linguistic dysfunctions that occur in a brain under pathological conditions. On the other hand, Sociolinguistics describes and explains the functions of language in relation to society. It establishes how language varies according to social canons and how society is permeated in the behavior of individuals by the influences of language.

If it is in the family that man learns to be a person, "he must learn to be what he is, that is to say, he must humanise himself, which means, therefore, that he must personalise himself as fully as possible". This means that the person is called to be educated in the family and parents are the first and indispensable educators of their children, those called to humanise them, giving them everything they need for their perfection; helping them to unfold their potentialities to the highest possible level.

This book addresses the subject of audiovisual Open Educational Resources (OER), considering the use of free software to expand authorship and co-authorship. It is the result of a dissertation, which used procedures based on the methodological approach of iterative cycles of Design-Based Research (DBR). The results were obtained by holding face-to-face workshops on producing OER in audiovisual format. These activities took place after the stage of evaluating and choosing the free Kazam software, whose criteria emphasized the types of file extensions produced and compatibility with operating systems, enabling reuse. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the interventions achieved their objective of promoting FTP to expand the production of video lessons using free software. The book presents a theoretical and practical discussion on the authorial production of teachers and the importance of technological-pedagogical fluency in education.

The OPP guarantees the incorporation of students into pedagogical careers, however, the reality does not meet all the expectations of students, due to several shortcomings in this process: the limited knowledge about careers with a pedagogical profile and the refusal to integrate the circles of interest related to this subject, as well as the not always positive influence of the family and the community to stimulate the selection of careers with a pedagogical profile, so it is presented as a need to solve this problem, proposing in the research carried out a system of exercises aimed at strengthening the work of OPP from the Spanish - Literature class, the contents of this process to be treated in this teaching and the methodology used to carry it out are addressed.

Resistance training (RER) forms the basis of an exercise rehabilitation program, helping to improve muscle and heart function, and in particular chronotropic reserve. In this respect, muscle electrostimulation (MES) is an interesting alternative to RER. We studied the effect of MSE on a cohort of 32 Tunisian pilots, at the Aeronautical Expertise Center, to evaluate the effects of an RER program using MSE on chronotropic reserve over a 4-week follow-up period, at a rate of 3 sessions per week, and secondarily to evaluate the effects of this same program on their anthropometric and biological data.We obtained an improvement in body composition, as well as in biological, lipid and glycemic balances, and also in exercise tolerance, with a significant increase in VO2 max, and a statistically significant increase in CR, linked above all to a reduction in resting heart rate. This response could therefore be an objective to be achieved by ESM in this target population at increased occupational risk, and be proposed as a fitness supplement.

Administrative management and job satisfaction of the decentralized office of electoral processes - Alto Amazonas - ONPE 2016. It is the title that I present in this research work to opt for the degree of Master in Public Management at the Cesar Vallejo University. The electoral processes in Peru are executed by the National Office of Electoral Processes and are held every 5 years for general elections and every 4 years for regional and municipal elections, starting from that context this thesis work tries to evaluate what is the impact of administrative management in relation to job satisfaction of the staff working in the Decentralized Office of Electoral Processes (ODPE) Alto Amazonas carried out in 2016, for election of President and Vice President of the republic, this research aims to perform an analysis of the behavior of staff in the electoral processes and how to manage to improve these activities. Case studies: Chasicó and Monte Hermoso, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The southwest of the province of Buenos Aires is characterized by a transitional temperate climate. Although it is not an arid region, water has been a scarce commodity on several occasions. In particular, the use of groundwater in two localities with different profiles is discussed. Chasicó is a small town, with an agricultural and livestock tradition. Monte Hermoso is an urban locality devoted to tourism. This work proposes two tools within the Integrated Water Resources Management: water quality and the Water Footprint. Finally, a test is proposed to approximate the amount of water demanded in the area worked in Chasicó, due to wheat cultivation, applying a Normalized Water Differential Index that is expressed in a series of maps for the months of July, August, October and December 2017. Finally, the results are compared with those of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index.

This intervention project aims to function, among other things, as a kick-start towards new ways of addressing the issue of the use of technology in the classroom and its inclusion in formal curricular planning, problematising the issue of the digital divide, providing tools and training, but also problematising and developing collective strategies to address the issue.

This text makes some considerations about the dialectic between hermeneutics and semiotics. This relationship refers to a relevant aspect of the epistemological status of Philosophy, as it recovers the problematic distinction between explaining and understanding, in the context of certain current tendencies of the order of scientistic reductionism or unlimited relativism. This dialectic between semiotics and hermeneutics is considered from a dialogical perspective, which aims at a complementary articulation between the two, recovering the contributions of Paul Ricoeur's phenomenological hermeneutics and Maurice Beuchot's analogical hermeneutic perspective.

The creation of footwear arose from man's need to protect his feet, which led to improved techniques. Over time, their manufacture has been perfected with the emergence of new tools, which have brought various problems with them. The biggest problem is the cause of accidents, which is why regulatory standards (NRs) have been created to reduce them. The aim of this book is to analyse the machinery in a shoe factory in the municipality of Campina Grande in Paraíba, with an average installation area of 140 m², in order to establish protection in accordance with Regulatory Standard 12 - Safety at Work in Machinery and Equipment. The machines chosen for analysis were the hydraulic rocker arm and the heel nailer. The needs for adapting the machines in accordance with NR -12 were surveyed, using the HRN (Hazard Rating Number) tool as a method for assessing risks with regard to machine safety. It was possible to detect and assess the risks that the machines presented. After the adjustments, the machines were placed in category 1 because they did not exceed low risk.

Brazil's native forests can support agricultural production.Because they are rich in biodiversity, they have their own mechanisms for controlling humidity, temperature and other factors based on the presence of all living beings in the area.The presence of these formations near agricultural crops can be an important factor in contributing to the regulation and greater balance in the dynamics of the populations of associated living beings.This study looked at the effect of "rich" forests on sugar cane crops, in terms of the occurrence of agricultural pests and diseases associated with this crop.

The contemporary school is held responsible for all social transformation, as if all those who legislate in education were scholars in the field of pedagogy, when in fact the guidelines that the school has are nothing more than the result of copies of foreign educational models that sometimes with the conviction that they were resounding failures in other countries are implemented by ours without a restructuring and adaptation of the same; never have the authors of the rules been given the task of building a model according to the social, political and economic needs of our society. In a society in constant evolution, it is necessary to prepare the individual for a fruitful integration, that is to say, the education must tend to an internalization, to an awareness, to a position with responsibility before the great messages and problems of our culture; therefore only this will be an effective instrument of change if it adopts a critical, transforming and emancipating position before the necessary reformulation of its principles, its methods, its powers, its purposes and its regulatory mechanisms.

In a partnership during a specialisation course in Health Care Network Management, the authors questioned the coverage of public health services and ways of making them more accessible to the population. After coming into contact with the reality of socially vulnerable women with substance use disorders during a period of professional work in a Psychosocial Care Centre - alcohol and other drugs (CAPS AD), one of the authors proposed a study to bring together current cervical cancer prevention and control strategies and the adherence of these women, who in her opinion deserve special attention because, among other things, they engage in risky situations and behaviours and isolation habits, especially during times of use.

Women's attitudes towards screening have been shown to be a determining factor in the incidence of cervical cancer and breast cancer, which is a clear public health problem.The aim of this study was to identify the factors associated with women's adherence to sexual and reproductive health surveillance; to analyze the extent to which women's knowledge of self-examination and cervical cancer and lifestyle are related to adherence to sexual and reproductive health surveillance.Decision-making related to the adoption of health behaviors implies a prior analysis of the variables associated with it. Thus, medical recommendations for breast self-examination and cytology, each woman's health beliefs, lifestyle and other socio-demographic characteristics should be taken into account by health professionals when promoting women's sexual and reproductive health.

In this book, I would like to present an approach to psychological expertise in the judicial environment, when the judge calls on a psychologist to enlighten him on the personality of the defendant.The psychologist's work must be well structured, rather than going off in all directions and presenting himself as a charlatan who doesn't know where to start in order to enlighten the justice system, which calls on the services of a psychologist. And how does this structure relate to the act? To provide effective answers, we need a working methodology, which is what I propose in this book.

Having long toyed with the idea of decentralization, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has now taken the plunge: the constitution that created the Third Republic in 2006 establishes an institutional system in which the regions are given a pivotal role in the administration of the territory. Decentralization has become a constitutional principle, and the articles relating to the regions and their sphere of competence reflect a proactive regionalism. But to understand this decentralization, it is important to look beyond the text and place it in its short- and long-term context. It then becomes more ambiguous, or even changes its meaning completely, to the point where we might wonder whether this decentralization is not, in fact, a recentralization. As a result, although the provinces' competences form a heterogeneous inventory and they enjoy budgetary autonomy, their actual powers, as well as those of the other decentralized territorial heads, appear in practice to be the antithesis of what is on paper.

The "idealist method" is one that proposes a return of thought to itself, as the only condition for the truth and affirmation of reality. Compared to change and life, it gives recognized priority to absolute rules, in the name of a rational, immobilist and permanent dogmatism that, for a long time, has committed to the idea of the uniqueness of scientific canons. But does the dogmatic application of these canons allow us to take sufficient account of the complex objects required to study human specificities? How can we think about the "deontologization", or "subversion" (Frantz Fanon/ Matthieu Renault) of this paradigm for a broader, livelier and more open conception of the world? In any case, there seems to be no justification for science to progress in only one direction, as, for example, Claire Joubert puts it: "Science is really the meaning of the practical domains of knowledge", based on "discursivity". This assumes that "every act of thinking is necessarily an act of rethinking" (Claire Joubert). This, then, is one of the messages concealed behind this first volume.

The book was based on the results of two surveys carried out in hospital environments in 2018 in the southern region of Brazil, involving nursing workers and their perception of the health technologies used during the work process and the evaluation of the patient safety culture in surgical centres. The main results of the first study were that the concept of health technology is linked to the use of equipment and machines, and that the term health technology is far from an ideal understanding by nursing workers. The second study looked at patient safety culture in operating theatres and assessed patient safety culture in operating theatres. The results made it possible to diagnose professionals' attitudes towards safety culture. Finally, it is hoped that the results of the research presented can motivate other professionals to continue studying and researching the themes presented in the book, with other methodological approaches and different care spaces, always with the aim of promoting patient safety.

The aim of this manuscript is to identify, quantify and analyse the incidence and potential problems related to prescriptions that could lead to errors or changes in the dispensing of medicines in a community pharmacy in a Social Centre in the West Zone of São Paulo; as well as to raise awareness among health professionals of the importance of the quality of prescriptions for dispensing and administration and the consequent promotion of the rational use of medicines, providing patients with greater efficacy and safety in pharmacological treatment.

The production of food of animal origin is fundamental for the survival of people, because it generates the protein that the human body needs. Nowadays, there is great awareness around the consumption of meat of animal origin, as it has been established that it is one of the healthiest and provides us with protein. To address this fact, a scientific trend has emerged called sustainability science, which has been considered to be a science inspired by the use of knowledge and must have characteristics such as transdisciplinarity, participation, social learning, co-production of knowledge, visualisation of multiple scales and management of uncertainty.

Any invention needs the widest possible dissemination in order to know its characteristics and proposed usefulness. If it is a device for learning the exploration of the anterior face of the eye, specifically the radius and orientation of its main axes, we are directing the patent to a specialized group, optometry and ophthalmology students from all over the world, in any learning center of these keratometries. The patent registered in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office is number ES2310128 (B2) with the title "Device for studying keratometric power values and radii" whose inventors are Consuelo Villena, Antonio Álvarez and one of the authors of this book. Although its main function is the practice of keratometry, it is also useful for instruments that measure ocular topographies. Its use in Optometry university degrees since 2005, facilitates the student's repetition without disturbing any patient, with a wide range of artificial eyes with a great spectrum of powers and axes, but fundamentally with objective control of the results at a glance in a table with the data.
