Innovation is the driving force of national development and is the key to building an innovative enterprise. Agricultural innovation is to find different resources that improve the farmer's life by increasing productivity. The concept of lifelong education, which refers to the notion that everything can be an opportunity to learn and develop the individual's capabilities, fits synergistically with innovation and necessarily presupposes it. The current challenges constituted by globalization, the information society and scientific-technological innovation have questioned the foundations of traditional training systems, forcing them to reform and redefine their objectives, functions and instruments of intervention. Faithful to the principle of innovation, the issue of improving curricula and programs of study in technical-vocational training is a recurrent concern of pedagogues and researchers. The subject in question is a multidisciplinary issue with edges in pedagogy, sociology, epistemology, history, economics and politics.

The aim of this study is to establish the prevalence of dementia in elderly residents of long-term care institutions in Porto Nacional-Tocantins, in the northern region of Brazil. The results found are important because they show that the majority of elderly people diagnosed with a particular dementia syndrome are not treated with any dementia medication; on the contrary, they use iatrogenic medication, which aggravates the dementia outcome. In this way, this study is in line with the proposal to improve the public mental health policy for the elderly in Porto Nacional-To.

In this book we look at how parents accompany their children in school. Nowadays, some parents have been monitoring their children's school life, proving to be good role models and sources of inspiration, but unfortunately, many parents still do the opposite, citing lack of time, being busy with work and the hustle and bustle of everyday life, among other justifications, placing the responsibility for monitoring their children on the school. On the other hand, many situations that happen at school that affect students go unnoticed by parents due to a lack of monitoring or frequent visits to the school. The aim of this study was to understand how parents monitor their children's school life. In developing the study, we used a qualitative approach that allowed us to analyse the situation in greater depth. We concluded that the support of parents in their children's school life is extremely important, because it contributes to the student's desirable academic performance and strengthens the school/family relationship.

This research is based on the attachment representations of the caregivers of children from 0 to 3 years of age belonging to networks of collaborators of the Chilean National Service for Minors. For this purpose, information was collected through interviews, with which social representations were extracted from the informants and then contrasted with documents of the public speeches of the selected institutions. The results of the research are the social representations obtained from the key informants, which are expressed in three points; concept of attachment, relevance of attachment and proposals to favor its development. This research concludes that the key informants represent the bond of attachment as a relationship between a child and a significant adult, valuing it according to the work they perform within a residence and the profession they exercise. Finally, when contrasting these social representations with the public discourse of the selected institutions, conceptual and practical differences between them are established.

In this work we will recognise the elements that make up a railway, from the infrastructure to the superstructure, as well as the types of tools that are necessary to be able to carry out maintenance. It is worth mentioning that the section of track that was taken to carry out the study belongs to the most beautiful train in the world, which has already been awarded several times by the European community and is an emblem of pride for the Ecuadorian nation. Within this study we will find the different types of routine, preventive and specialised maintenance that will serve as a guide for the future, and the budget for the work to be carried out. You will also find conclusions and recommendations for the conservation of the elements that make up the railway.

This work is based on the conception that accepts epistemology as a philosophical discipline that is enriched by the contribution of other currents of thought, and that focuses on tradition, but assumes the new. The epistemology of Sport is considered as a regional epistemology, as a theoretical and methodological instrument to think with an epistemological approach, the dynamics of this social phenomenon.

Fahr's disease (FD) or Familial Primary Calcification of the Basal Nuclei is a rare neurodegenerative disease, with an incidence of less than 1 in 1 million inhabitants (SALEEM et al., 2013) worldwide, autosomal dominant, characterised by symmetrical and bilateral calcifications in the basal nuclei (nb) and other areas of the cerebral cortex, thus allowing for diverse clinical presentations, mainly with extrapyramidal and psychiatric symptoms. In recent years, mutations in four genes have been identified as causing the disease (SLC20A2, PDGFRB, PDGFB and XPR1) allowing for a specific genotype-phenotype correlation as shown in Table 1 (TADIC et al., 2015). The author of this research is a neurologist working in the field of neuropediatrics. Through clinical history and examinations, she identified the likelihood of FD in the proband and found ways to develop this work in postgraduate studies.

The main objective of this research is to carry out geomorphometric and physiographic analyses of the hydrographic basins of the Uraricoera and Tacutu Rivers, with the aim of characterising and compartmentalising them. The methodology used was based on analyses of gemorphometric parameters obtained from SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) elevation models, to delimit the basins and generate products such as declivity, hypsometry, shaded relief and the longitudinal profile, processed in the Quantum Gis 2.4 and Envi 4.7 programmes. The results obtained were updated and more precise data on the morphometric parameters of the basin, such as area, perimeter, shape index, geomorphological characterisation based on the compartmentalisation of the denudational and aggradational systems, as well as the delimitation of the upper, middle and lower reaches of both basins. Based on some data, we consider the Uraricoera hydrographic system to be the main one in the Upper Rio Branco, whose drainage covers an area of 49,942 km2, with a perimeter corresponding to 1,641 km and a length of 498,106 km.

This thesis determined the relationship between exports and the growth of production in Benin and analyzed the role of export diversification on the economic growth of Benin. He showed that export diversification has a significant effect on economic growth. So to achieve this result, we used the data, annual time series covering the period 1980 to 2019 on which the stationarity test (ADF test) was carried out. Then we used the autoregressive model with distributed delays (ARDL) following a test of Co integration. This study shows that export diversification is very important in the short term and in the long term. But we find that export diversification makes a weak contribution to Benin's economic growth. This calls on the government of Benin to design and implement long-term and short-term development strategies and institutional reforms to foster export diversification that will lead to economic transformation. So we have suggested some steps in that direction.

The book "Unraveling the Horizons of Children's Learning: The Challenges of the Teacher in the Early Years", written by the authors Gleydson Alves da Paz and Vilani Ferreira Feitosa Amaral, addresses in a reflective and careful way the challenges faced by teachers in teaching the early years, especially in relation to children's learning.The authors bring an approach that combines theory and practice, offering the reader a complete overview of the issues surrounding the teaching-learning process in childhood. The book presents a sensitive and up-to-date analysis of educational contexts, highlighting the importance of the teacher's role in this very significant phase of child development. Through studies and research based on solid theoretical references, the authors discuss the relevance of a pedagogical approach that considers the particularities of children and that values their experiences and previous knowledge. At the same time, they highlight the importance of using innovative and effective practices to stimulate students' learning and interest.

A study and analysis of learning objects (LOs) for deaf education, however, in addition to an educational object, can intervene in the student's learning to facilitate the construction process in their school environment, and thus result in a positive source in their development. For this to happen, LOs must be well planned and designed to achieve the goal that the deaf student needs, i.e. to build their knowledge and for the teacher to become a mediator in this learning scenario using resources where sign language is present. With this in mind, this book presents an analysis of educational products for the deaf found in master's dissertations in the Postgraduate Programme in Science and Technology Teaching at the Federal Technological University of Paraná - Brazil in the city of Ponta Grossa, from 2010 to 2018. In this time frame, 5 educational products suitable for deaf people were found. Based on the information obtained, this research shows that it is necessary to work differently to provide deaf students with adequate learning opportunities.

The book presents various experiences realised over 20 years in Higher Education, related to the specific didactics of Geography and Environmental Studies at all levels of education, although with a greater focus on Pre-school Education and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. The second part presents some reflections on the teaching of Geography and the need to give this science the importance and prestige it deserves, as an essential basis for the integral formation of citizens. This is an unpretentious book, but it is an aid to teaching practices for colleagues and readers interested in education and geography.

This text analyzes the implications/issues of epistemological contextualism in the theory of knowledge with authors such as Gottlob Frege and Ludwig Wittgenstein. In The Foundations of Arithmetic and Philosophical Investigations respectively, these two authors supported the idea that the conditions for determining truth or knowledge depend on the context of enunciation, the conversational context or the cultural context. In this way, there are several rival conceptions and epistemic norms, because the statements we make only make sense in the context in which they are uttered. Also known as Frege's principle, this contextualism was intended to combat psychologism and compositionality, which admit that the meaning of a sentence depends on the combined meanings of its individual parts. Following Frege's lead, Wittgenstein took up this principle and established that the context of a statement is now the basis of the scientific edifice. From then on, a statement would only have meaning if it could be translated into a context and not into descriptions of things.

This study is the result of an academic-research work of a teacher and two economists-researchers, knowledge trainers in students-researchers for a potential economic and social development within the territory of Sucre based on the potentiation of the Human Capital, and of groups dedicated to research. General aspects of basic techniques of Multivariate Data Analysis applied to the informal economy sector are presented; it contributes to the application of statistical techniques for academic and research use. The authors make a detailed analysis of the techniques and concepts to make them easy to understand. The information collected from the sources of information was organized in databases and exported to the R statistical program for processing and analysis.

The aim of this paper is to explain the concept of education in Nicolaus Machiavelli's political theory. To this end, we seek to elucidate the influences and purposes of this conception and thus point out the importance of the term education for this author's political theory. It goes through his humanist influences and political experiences in order to understand education in the sense of a political education, of active action.

Statistical literacy provides the capacity of abstraction to be able to perform an exploratory analysis of data. For this reason, statistics is necessary in the education of citizens, since it allows them to understand and analyze their environment. This is how we see it present in all curricula from elementary school to university. For this reason, a study of statistical literacy and its components in future mathematics teachers is presented. This work was developed as a quantitative research. The results obtained show that future mathematics teachers have not mastered the basic concepts of statistics. They do not have the instrumental knowledge of statistics necessary for its application in practice, reflected in the conceptual errors identified: incorrect application of properties, they do not appreciate the effect of an outlier in the calculation of the mean, they are not able to discern when a value is outlier for a given context, there is no mastery in the interpretation of a graph and its association with the concept of arithmetic mean. Despite this, they have a positive attitude towards statistics.

The health sector in Brazil is going through a difficult situation in terms of financing and meeting social demands. The budget bottleneck in the public sector has increased the challenges faced in the health area. In this sense, the development of initiatives that have positive socio-economic impacts, i.e. that co-operate in meeting the basic health demands of the Brazilian population, are important for society. However, financing such initiatives is also a challenge for their implementation. Thus, social businesses or impact investments, which combine investment opportunities with social impact, represent an alternative way to increase the fulfilment of social demands, making it possible to provide more health care, even taking into account short-term public budget restrictions.

In the modern world community the phenomenon of legal responsibility of the head of state is a necessary element and an important guarantee of a democratic regime. For this reason, the absence of this institution in authoritarian countries is indicative. Inclusion in the legislation of the mechanism of responsibility of the President of the State is associated with the resolution of a very complex legal problem. This problem is that the accusation brought against the head of state concerns the whole system of state bodies and may entail the destruction of the principle of separation of powers.

This book aims to provide information and reflections based on statistical inferences that provide diagnostic information about the health of adolescents so that health and primary care professionals can redirect the implementation of strategies to combat infectious diseases, especially Hepatitis B, and the implementation of actions that include the promotion and prevention of health problems among adolescents in the face of this problem.

With each new era of the industrial revolution, there are major changes in the way products are produced, distributed and consumed, significantly affecting both social and political aspects as well as the environment, gradually impacting the way we work, live and relate to each other. And when it comes to applying the Internet of Things to Smart Houses, it is possible to highlight some factors that are considered "critical" and must be properly managed in order to successfully apply the new housing concept. The aim of this paper, in addition to listing these success factors, is also to provide a greater understanding of the subject and add to its growth from a theoretical point of view, highlighting the fact that everyday life is increasingly becoming dependent on new technologies.

The teaching of written expression should be a priority in university classrooms, because students do not have mastery of the contents, processes and stages of writing. A complex and systemic plan will be needed to motivate them. The university, as any other educational institution, should organize, execute and evaluate a strategic plan that includes defined purposes, from the creation of an academic unit that ensures the promotion and practice of writing, to the educational proposal of courses in series, linked to the executive work of the teacher who teaches the subject or component of the Writing Workshop or Written Expression. The significance will be demonstrated by institutionalizing the learning and practice of written expression as a transversal axis throughout the academic curriculum. And as an activity proper to the institutional task in view of the technological era and the globalized society.

The training of managers in environmental education is of special significance today in university institutions. The aim of this research, entitled Strategy for training managers in environmental education as a contribution to social responsibility in the UPTAA ¿Pedro Camejö, is to design a strategy for training managers in environmental education as a contribution to social responsibility in the UPTAA ¿Pedro Camejö, Mantecal, Apure State, aimed at the Board of Directors of the University. A descriptive type of research was carried out, using theoretical, empirical and statistical methods, as well as techniques such as surveys and consultations with experts, which allowed for a more integrated vision of the current situation of environmental education training for the university's directors.

The text "Resistencia indígena, opción de paz" by Álvaro Villarraga Sarmiento explores in a historical vision the experiences of resistance of the Colombian indigenous movement, who after the defense of their territories and cultures, assumes the progressive rejection of war through growing forms of peaceful civil resistance, as its own and original option that connects with its interest -coincident with that of other expressions of society- in the achievement of peace. His theses and considerations constitute a key reference insofar as he analyzes the reasons, factors and consequences for society of the fact that native or indigenous peoples have opted for a peaceful management of the conflict, and in some cases under alternative schemes to those proposed by the State, to achieve both the restitution of their rights and the effective reintegration of some of their members who have been part of armed groups, in the context of the armed conflict that has occurred in Colombia in recent decades.

No to the murder of women by men motivated by hatred, contempt, pleasure or sense of possession towards women. This type of violence manifests itself through blows, threats, insults and any other type of aggression, whether physical, sexual, psychological or patrimonial, coming from a man who believes he has the right to exercise power over this "object", called woman, and whose maximum expression of this power struggle is death.

The objective of this research is to determine the prevalence and demonstrate the association between exposure to pesticides before and during the first trimester of gestation and the risk of congenital malformations in the cardiovascular, genitourinary, central nervous systems and malformations of the face, mouth, palate and extremities. Likewise, to identify whether the consumption of medications (anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, antiemetics and anticoagulants), history of alcoholism, drug use and severe anemia during the first trimester of gestation increases the risk of congenital malformation. The study design is observational, retrospective cross-sectional, analytical case-control study. The cases (n=57) were selected by non-probabilistic sampling and the controls (n=114) by simple random sampling from a hospital population in the Ica Region, during a 3-year period. Cases were defined as neonates with congenital malformations of the cardiovascular, genitourinary, central nervous, digestive, face, mouth, palate and extremities systems; controls were newborns without the aforementioned malformations.

It analyzes the most controversial cases published in Diario Extra and TC Televisión in 2015 which were sanctioned by SUPERCOM for not complying with the deontological norm established in article 10, numeral 3, literal d) of the LOC, which refers to the professional exercise of "avoiding a morbid treatment to information about crimes, accidents, catastrophes or other similar events". Through a brief tour of journalism in Ecuador, we will learn about the use of violence and morbidity in the media to get more ratings. And through a discourse analysis, an in-depth understanding of the communicational elements in the selected cases will be obtained, whose results will serve to determine whether or not there is a "morbid treatment of information" established by the LOC in order for the media to carry out a more responsible journalism.

Political education is increasingly interested in how Europe spread theory of colonial rule and justifying missionary and exploratory voyages from assumed conceit over centuries. Under global influences, pan-African movements and a decolonization current changed the relationship with Europe. In the 20th century, new forms of unequal power relations emerged. Regions and societies are still confronted with the political, economic and social consequences of colonial rule. Outdated patterns of thinking about the image of African history and the present still have an effect and cause Africa to play a minor role in world politics and the global economy. Sketchily, the early modern period, foundations of colonial thinking, colonial rule, transitional forms, dissolution of colonial empires, post-colonial states and African states are discussed.

This essay is a plea for the epistemological tolerance advocated by Paul Feyerabend. Against the image proudly attributed to Feyerabend (detractor of method and rationality), its author argues that the open-mindedness advocated by Feyerabend through his anything goes is not only the most reliable support for scientific progress, but also the foundation of human happiness. For Feyerabend, it's a question of showing that, while science can solve the problems faced by mankind, it is not alone in its ability to do so. It would be to the advantage of science (and scientists), for its own sake and for the good of mankind, to open up to other fields of knowledge that are likely to help humans solve their problems. To be open -minded therefore means to be opportunistic, not opposed to the method; it means knowing how to resort to something else when science is stymied.Using the COVID-19 health crisis as a case in point, the author of this essay shows that tolerance in science is the only true attitude consistent with the advancement of scientific knowledge and human happiness.

The management team in charge of the University must consider research as the best source of solutions for its academic programs and the impact it generates in the community, therefore, within the management philosophy, specifically in the policies, they must promote and develop research so that it becomes a fundamental activity of its work in close relation to management, teaching and extension.

Joint wear and tear: osteoarthritis is one of the main causes of chronic pain in the knee, especially in older people. Bursitis: inflammation of the bursae (small fluid-filled sacs) that cushion the knee joint. Tendonitis: inflammation of the tendons in the knee, usually caused by repetitive activities or injury.Shoulder pain: 1. Traumatic injuries: such as dislocations, fractures, dislocations or rotator cuff injuries. Bursitis of the shoulder: inflammation of the bursae in the shoulder, which can be caused by injury or repetitive motion. 3. Rotator cuff tendinitis: inflammation of the tendons surrounding the shoulder joint, usually due to aging or injury. 4. Shoulder osteoarthritis: as in the knee, joint wear and tear can also affect the shoulder joint.
