Bipolar disorder (BD) is a complex disorder involving genetic vulnerability and environmental factors such as childhood maltreatment. We conducted a study of patients being followed for BD to assess their experience of childhood maltreatment. We conducted a retrospective assessment of childhood maltreatment using the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ). The Suicide Probability Scale (SPS) was used to assess suicidal risk. In our study, 45.2% of patients had experienced at least one type of childhood abuse. Physical abuse was the most frequent form of maltreatment (28.6%). Childhood maltreatment was associated with an earlier age of onset of TB, more frequent thymic relapses, a rapid-cycle course, poor therapeutic compliance and a higher suicidal potential. These findings underline the negative impact of childhood maltreatment on the course and prognosis of TB. Preventive measures are needed to limit their deleterious effects.

Through a case study of the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, this paper seeks to explain why sexual violence is used against men, especially rape. Through the discussion of hegemonic masculinities, I intend to explain the use of such practices. At the same time, I seek to criticise international society's position on the issue, which tends to neglect men and boys as victims of sexual violence, treating only women as victims.

The robbery of the twentieth century was initially developed in the executive branch, assisted by the legislative branch, at the beginning of democracy in Ecuador and then materialized through the Ecuadorian private banking system, all this between 1980 and 2006. The establishment of the neoliberal economic model acted as a trigger for corrupt governments, together with the legislature, to promote laws that directly affected the development of their people. In the Ecuadorian case we have from the sucretization of the foreign debt, to creating the idea that the administration of the State was defective and therefore began to sell the most profitable state-owned companies. They created a fictitious crisis in the banking system and generated the national holiday, seizing the resources of the Ecuadorian people, all very well organized by the political system of right-wing sectors. The Ecuadorian economy was dollarized, converting one dollar for every 25 thousand sucres, which favored the big defaulters, since their debts dropped considerably, while the pension for retirees, social security contributions and salaries were drastically reduced, benefiting the banks.

Fruit growing is one of the most important sectors in Brazil, which is considered to produce the most consumed tropical fruit in the world, as well as having a variety of exotic fruits with potential for the development of new products. Among these fruits is the cajá, considered a rich source of phytochemicals such as anthocyanins, carotenoids, flavonoids and ascorbic acid. Mangaba is also a tropical fruit with high nutritional value and an exotic and peculiar flavour. The aim of this study was to survey the existing literature on these two fruits, with an emphasis on their production, storage and their use in the development of new products. These are foods with a short shelf life due to their high perishability, thus requiring processes that increase the shelf life of these fruits. Technological innovations that include mangaba have been patented, showing that the use of this fruit is growing and in the literature several studies have been found using cajá as a raw material for the development of new products.

The research project is a systematic, controlled and critical process. These particularities come from the facts and not from causality, since they are approached in an objective manner. In this book it is presented in a clear and simple way how to elaborate the research project, which consists of the problem, the theoretical referential framework, the methodological framework and the bibliographical references. The book presents a simple and concrete literature, in addition to presenting examples that serve as a guide in the elaboration of the project. My contribution to the work is based on my experience, on the fact of interpreting and deducing everything related to the study and teaching of Research Methodology.

Performance art has been the target of curious looks from various fields of human knowledge. Forming a hybrid and trans/interdisciplinary terrain, performance studies in the artistic sphere offer the possibility of producing knowledge with a multifocal lens, opening up spaces for the crossing of diverse epistemologies and broadening the spaces for discussion. This study approaches performance art through the lens of the philosophy of difference, political and critical theory and, above all, studies of subjectivity, presenting in its propositions the elaboration of a thought that has Spinoza, Nietzsche, Bergson, Deleuze and Jacques Rancière as its main interlocutors.

The vision of humanistic psychology, in this case in Carl Rogers, has been one of the many perspectives that have mediated between the methodologies of behaviourism and psychoanalysis, since it identifies an autonomous subject in itself and free to build its own path through experiences and suffering as formative aspects for life, Within this vision, Friedrich Nietzsche appears as an author who gives more weight to this construction of the subject, which through the moments of nihilism and the will to power complements the proposal of the subject made by Carl Rogers, both authors arriving at a common construct: A Strong Psychological subject.

This paper analyzes the impact of migrant remittances on certain macroeconomic variables. To this end, a panel of countries making up the SADC economic zone (excluding Zambia and Zimbabwe) constituted our analysis sample. It was shown that remittance cycles exhibit non-significant counter-cyclical behavior with the output gap, and significant counter-cyclical behavior when combining the two series (cycle and trend). In addition, remittances have been found to positively influence real GDP per capita, smooth private consumption in times of crisis, boost the supply of bank credit to the economy and encourage private investment. On the other hand, remittances only exacerbate inflationary pressures in the medium and long term.

The international and national community has for some time been concerned about the status of children in the world, given their vulnerability, their dependence on their environment and their lack of physical, intellectual and emotional maturity, all of which require special care and protection. It is with this in mind that article 649 of the Family Code states that when the paternal filiation of a child born out of wedlock has not been established, the court, at the request of the child, the child's mother or the public prosecutor, shall appoint a legal father from among the members of the child's mother's family or, failing that, a person proposed by the child's mother, in which case the legal father shall exercise all the prerogatives resulting from filiation in relation to the child.

The project "Strengthening the Cocoa and Coffee Production Chain in El Dorado Province - San Martín", implemented through the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement between the National Commission for Development and Drug-Free Life and the Provincial Municipality of El Dorado under the PIRDAIS Budget Program, has been very valuable for the development of agriculture. The importance of this project lies in the transfer of the technological package that has allowed 1,371 cocoa producers to reach productive yields of 400kg/ha to 1,200kg/ha; in the case of coffee, 651 producers have increased their production from 8qq/ha to 26qq/ha. This is a good thing because it will allow producers to obtain higher incomes with higher production and better prices. The business articulation of the producers is another important aspect to highlight and is a consequence of the progress made at the production level. At the end of the project, the commercialization of conventional cocoa reached 176,898 kilos for an amount of S/. 1'559,304.34 soles; and cocoa with UTZ certification, the sale was 137,121 kilos for a value of S/. 1'220,463.17 soles.

Among the various programmes in primary care is the School Health Programme (PSE), which emerged as an intersectoral policy between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, with a view to providing comprehensive health care to children, adolescents and young people in basic public education, in the context of schools and health units. The aim of this study was to analyse management and planning in primary health care from the point of view of users, professionals and managers, based on the School Health Programme (PSE). Two users (students), two professionals (a dentist and a psychologist) and one manager (a nurse) from primary care, who are part of a Family Health Unit and take part in the Health at School Programme (PSE) in a municipality in the state of Paraíba, were interviewed. This was a descriptive exploratory field study with a qualitative approach. The data was obtained through semi-structured interviews. The data was analysed using the following steps: data sorting, data classification and final analysis. It was noted that there were weaknesses in the actions taken by health and education professionals due to the length of time it took to implement the programme.

Forty-five years after the promises of sub-regional integration and cooperation ratified by West African leaders in Lagos at its creation in 1975, ECOWAS today is still a long way from achieving its objectives. How can we explain the difficulties encountered in implementing the policy of free movement of people and goods within the community? To answer this question, this work postulates as its main hypothesis that: "The fear of losing advantages, due to the fragility of member countries' internal markets, is the main factor explaining the difficulties encountered in implementing this policy". To test this hypothesis, this research adopted a qualitative methodological approach, involving forty-nine individual interviews, seven group discussions and three direct observations at border crossings (Togo - Ghana, Togo - Benin and Togo - Burkina Faso). World-economy, diffusion of innovation and rational choice theories were used to analyze the results.

The aim of this work was to investigate the subject of "Corporate Reputation" in its most diverse approaches, so we sought to answer what the concept of reputation is, or what its different concepts are, and how it is constructed, based on the opinions of people from different backgrounds and areas of activity in the corporate world. In order to better understand this concept, we briefly contextualised society, organisations and individuals, seeking to understand the relationship between the three in order to provide support for the discussion of reputation that permeates this relationship. Next, we mapped the different concepts and approaches that have been consolidated in the academic discussion on the subject, thus dividing "corporate reputation" into three main approaches: reputation as an asset, reputation as an evaluation and reputation as a perception. We also work with aspects linked to crisis, identity and image that are present in the various approaches.

The increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases and the destruction of the ozone layer are linked, on the one hand, to the growth in the world's population and, on the other hand, to the development of industrial techniques and the needs they entail. The world's forests are disappearing because they are so heavily exploited. They provide wood, food, medicinal substances and fuel. They retain the soil and influence the climate (which is being disturbed to an alarming degree). Whether rainforest or dry forest, high forest or scrubland, evergreen or deciduous, they are part of our heritage. The DRC has everything it takes to tackle the problem of global warming. It is in this context that the DRC occupies a leading position in the world, and sees itself as a "solution-country" by definition and conviction. To carry out our study, we used a variety of techniques: documentary and direct observation to collect data, and the analytical method to analyze it.

With the passage of time, different problems related to nutrition have been occurring in the world context, the economic crisis and adverse political or social factors are the triggers for the development of these problems. Nutritional disorders are becoming more and more frequent in the world, in some cases due to food problems such as in underdeveloped countries, where the nutritional paradox is frequent, that is, households with scarce economic resources with a predominance of malnutrition by deficit, especially in children, and by excess in adults; although overweight and obesity are associated with food abundance, it is also a reflection of malnutrition as mentioned above.

Suicide is widely understood as intentionally taking one's own life. It can be related to socio-demographic, economic, psychosocial, biological and family problems. Every 40 seconds a person commits suicide, making it a public health problem. With this in mind, Brazil created Yellow September with the aim of breaking the taboo on mental health and raising awareness to encourage prevention, reversing the situations we are currently experiencing worldwide. The study aimed to characterise suicide mortality in Brazil between 1999 and 2014. This is an ecological study with an analytical approach using suicide cases in Brazil reported between 1999 and 2014. The study covered deaths reported in the Mortality Information System (SIM) through the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). Spatial analyses were carried out using software such as the Geographic Information System (GIS) programmes ArcGIS and qGIS, distributing the overall and smoothed mortality coefficients, and the statistical analysis was carried out using the statistical analysis programme STATA. We hope you enjoy reading it.

Sanitation has been around since the dawn of civilisation, but little progress has been made over the years. Half of the Brazilian population has no sewage collection and around 35 million people have no access to treated water. The aim of the study is to propose a more economical wastewater treatment alternative, mainly for rural areas using biofertiliser, but this methodology can also be used in urban areas that do not have a collection and treatment system. The methodology consists of installing 3 tanks of 1000 litres each, connected to each other. The first box is connected to the toilet where the domestic effluent is degraded, removing up to 70 per cent of the organic matter, the rest in the second box, and the third is free of contamination. The resulting effluent can be used as biofertiliser or through other disposal methods. The method is gaining more and more ground due to certain factors: lack of specialised labour, low-cost installation, no odours, increased income generation for the community, as well as the health and environmental benefits of not contaminating soil and water.
