A quantitative and qualitative study of orthopterans in four herbaceous environments in the city of Kisangani, using the net-fauchoir, yielded 17,233 orthopteran specimens between May 1990 and April 1991, divided into 17 species of locusts and grasshoppers, two of which were not identified. The most representative species are : Atractomorpha acutipennis, Spathosternum pygmaeum, Coryphasima stenoptera, Rodiniella insipida and an undetermined species of the Conocephalidae family.Numbers and numbers vary from biotope to biotope, and from year to year within the same biotope. The sex ratio of the most representative species is in favor of males.

The book is of great academic value for presenting research results related to blacks in the cities of the Caribbean since slavery. This work represents a successive reading of thirteen handwritten versions of Paul Valéry's famous poem. By comparing these with the version published in 1917, it is possible to follow the development of the poem in the composition of its images and in the juxtaposition of its scenes. This allows us to shed light on certain obscure images of the poem and to better follow its progress. It is about the awakening of a Folk who becomes a young woman, and who knows the world from a human perspective. Valéry's poem seems to be a representation of Schopenhauer's thought, and in particular of the notion of beauty in the latter. And in its outcome it advances a kind of Nietzschean assertion with regard to the world and to life.

WhatsApp has been considered a powerful application for both work and leisure, as well as for stimulating social relationships. This application, like digital communication and information technologies, enables students to learn and makes it possible for them to communicate and collaborate with each other. So, as a teacher-researcher and faced with this reality associated with the lack of interest on the part of many of the students, I sought to improve teaching practice in order to encourage student learning. In this research, the focus was on analyzing and understanding the use of WhatsApp during the development of formative assessment activities, according to Perrenoud (2000). For the application and analysis of technologies in teaching, we considered the theory of Multiliteracies, according to Cope and Kalantizis (2005, 2015), the aspects of multimodality, according to Kress and van Leeuwen (2006), associated with Vygotsky's (1998) socio-interactionism. With regard to the scientific method, action research and the deductive approach were used, based on the theories of a social phenomenon, as this was a research project about an educational environment.

This book aims to help break down the patterns formed with regard to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD, which is a neurological syndrome in which chemical alterations occur in the nervous system. These paradigms contribute to increasing the suffering of its sufferers, leading them to anguish, isolation, fear, sadness, anger and feelings that destroy, hurt and gradually transform a child full of dreams into someone full of insecurity. This is because, when ADHD occurs, there is hypoactivity in the frontal lobe of the brain (a decrease in the production of certain neurotransmitters). The topic proposed here becomes relevant due to the increasing presence of children with ADHD in the early grades of primary school. It is therefore up to educators to train themselves to meet the needs of these students, not only in terms of content, but also in terms of socialising and contextualising meaningful learning for those with ADHD. It should also be emphasised that the major problem surrounding ADHD and other similar disorders is the great lack of information on the subject.

In the world, occupational disability due to blindness and visual impairment in humans associated with injuries of the visual organ remains a very urgent medical and social problem. In modern conditions the most common types of traumatism of this organ are mechanical trauma. According to statistical data "...eye traumas and their consequences among diseases of the visual organ is one of the main causes of blindness and professional disability, especially these unfavorable phenomena are observed among persons of the most able-bodied age..." ...In this regard, the development of preventive measures, improvement of effective methods of early diagnosis and high-tech methods of treatment of patients with eye trauma, based on the identification of the nature, characteristics of the course, complications and outcomes of eye traumas is of great scientific and practical significance.

The research is developed from the need to strengthen the knowledge of Local History through the classes taught in the subject History of Cuba for fifth grade elementary school students. The diagnosis carried out allowed determining the general theoretical and methodological needs to strengthen the knowledge of Local History in fifth grade students. For this purpose, the following research methods and techniques were used: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, systemic-structural and modeling. Empirical methods and techniques such as: survey, interview, observation, review of normative documents, pedagogical test, bibliographical review and the experimental method (in its pre-experiment variant). From the statistical-mathematical level (percentage analysis and graphs). To satisfy the needs of the diagnosed knowledge of Local History, the multimedia "Knowing our locality" is proposed, it offers texts related to Local History conceived in two stages; primitive community and colony, which integrates: images, videos of the museum and personalities.

The decades between the World Wars and the 20th century saw the emergence of a common concept that served as a starting point for philosophers considered existentialists: the concept of the Absurd. Jean-Paul Sartre published the novel Nausea in 1938. Philosophical Nausea is the first experience that follows the apprehension of the Absurd. It is the unease of the subject who, in a pre-reflexive situation, puts himself in spite of the total gratuitousness of existence. Sartre puts it at the basis of his philosophical construction and, using surrealist images, presents a hybrid of literature and philosophy in the work for which he achieved recognition. Investigating in particular the philosopher's output prior to the Second World War, this research is mainly concerned with the conceptualisation of Sartre's Nausea and the presentation of possibilities for overcoming this malaise. To do this, it is necessary to evaluate the literary work, contextualising it and extracting from it the elements that will contribute to an understanding of Nausea and, going through the possibilities of overcoming it proposed in the novel's script itself, to understand why Sartre chose literary engagement as the best of the possibilities.

On the complex relationship between humans and non-humans: anthropological reflections on possible developments between human medicine and veterinary medicine This is the result of a project developed during my undergraduate degree in Social Sciences at the State University of Maringá. Based on anthropology, we investigated the possible developments and sharing between humans and non-humans.

Due to the relevance of the El Niño - Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon to the global economy, maritime transport, the oil industry and possible environmental impacts in coastal areas, we assessed possible changes in the wave climate in the South Atlantic in a year when ENSO occurred, based on analyses of basic wave parameters, namely: significant height, peak period and meteorological parameters such as wind intensity. The variables were acquired from the NCEP/NOAA for the years 2013, the year considered neutral in this study, and 2015, the year of the El Niño - Southern Oscillation. The results presented for the two years analysed revealed that the El Niño - Southern Oscillation event potentially alters the wave climate of the South Atlantic Ocean. This process seems to be associated with an increase in wind intensity in some regions of the ocean basin, which is considered to contribute to the occurrence of significantly higher heights in the autumn and winter months.

We can consider the utopia generation a diasporic generation, as its members are Angolans who live and study in Portugal, and it is from there that they initially discuss the direction of their country. However, we find other diasporic forms throughout the novel, such as the flight of large masses of people to Zambia as a result of the Angolan war of independence. The displacements presented in the novel, and from other remote times that are part of Angola's history, make it possible for us to find various forms of hybridity there, due to the contact between cultures, such as ethnic and religious mixing, hybrid practices... Multiculturalism in Angola, which is the strategy for managing this hybridity, appears in a paradoxical way: at the same time as there is strong economic segregation, as in the case of supermarkets, which operate through foreign currency only possessed by the rich, there is freedom for cultural manifestations. However, despite being paradoxical, Angolan multiculturalism opens up the possibility for aspects of the culture of the marginalised to be added to the "cultural centre" through cultural freedom.

So we shouldn't be afraid, we need to understand the ways in which we can best take advantage of its benefits, and the best protection is information and knowledge about what x-rays are and what this radiation can cause.

The political and legal instability that generally reigns in countries receiving foreign direct investment has led investors to increasingly demand the inclusion of stabilization and intangibility clauses in investment contracts. These clauses are intended not only to protect investors against the risk of unilateral modification of the law applicable to the investment contract, but also and above all to avoid any unilateral modification of the contract by the host state. Investment contracts are long-term contracts that affect sensitive sectors of the national economy of the host state, and most often trigger the exercise of the latter's sovereign power. They oblige the State to derogate from the exercise of its sovereignty and renounce its prerogatives as a public authority. However, the State always manages to violate them, and we wonder what their scope is? Admitting that certain situations may justify state action, it remains notable that these clauses have an influence.

The Brazilian agricultural sector is responsible for most of our country's economic gains. Among the most significant crops is cotton, the most important textile fibre used in the spinning and clothing industries, as well as being used to extract oils and proteins used in food. Despite its potential, the increase in the number of pests in cotton crops has caused significant economic losses. Among the pests that affect the cotton plant is the apple caterpillar, Heliothis virescens, which can attack up to 15 plant structures, causing irreversible damage and major losses in production. This pest is mainly controlled using chemical insecticides, which, among other consequences, can lead to the development of resistance. In order to find an alternative that is more effective, cheaper and has the least environmental impact for controlling this pest, the aim of this study was to assess the specificity and bioinsecticidal potential of entomopathogenic filamentous fungi on the cotton apple caterpillar.

Argentina's link with Antarctic lands dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when Argentine personnel took part in the Nordenskjold expedition (1901-1903), as a result of which the first meteorological station was established in the South Orkney Islands, which has operated uninterruptedly ever since. Since 1951, with the creation of the Argentine Antarctic Institute, a systematic occupation plan was organized through campaigns carried out every summer and the installation of a series of scientific stations and military and naval bases. Argentine Antarctica is based on rights of proximity and continuous and uninterrupted occupation since 1904.

The position of Substitute Councillor was given constitutional status by the Federal Constitution of 1988, which establishes judicial attributions for the position in Article 73, Paragraph 4. Twenty-six years on from the Federal Charter, there is a lack of uniformity in the treatment of this constitutional position. In many Courts of Auditors, this position only fulfils the function of an expert or typical activities of the auxiliary body. Furthermore, even when they exercise judicial powers, i.e. when they preside over procedural investigations, reporting on the cases distributed with a proposed decision to be submitted to the collegiate body, some Courts do not promote fair and impartial distribution to them. Thus, it can be seen that the limitation of the judicial attributions of the position, by means of rules that assign the issuing of opinions or the exercise of the function of head of the auxiliary body, sometimes confuses the attributions of the position with the accounting sense, sometimes has a political motivation and, therefore, must be recognised as unconstitutional because it does not express the will of the constituent. Similarly, the same defect must be recognised in the rules that deal with the distribution of proceedings using criteria that contravene the principle of a natural judge.

Faced with a reality in which the relationship between journalism and literature is multiple and extremely varied, the interaction between them is becoming increasingly necessary. Journalism and literature are interesting tools for improving a society's quality of life. They don't separate, they complement each other. They are forces that change the world, create and win wars, frustrate and nourish dreams, save and destroy lives. The research ceases to be a simple report and becomes a literary text that reconstructs events based on the author's interpretation. Abandoning some of the dogmas of journalism, such as neutrality and distance, it values the figure of the reporter in the midst of events, giving him or her the freedom to create and dare by recording details such as gestures, habits, decoration, clothing, etc. The characters and scenarios of the stories are established with a very personal focus, with an openness to experiments in style. Perhaps provoking reflection: can the development of interpretative autonomy in journalism be considered a new order in the role of the press in the democratic societies of our time?

Orthodontics and Temporomandibular Dysfunction/Orofacial Pain (TMD/ORP) are specialities in dentistry that for many years have been seen as having a cause-effect relationship. However, this correlation is liable to fail when the orthodontist starts an orthodontic treatment under the illusion that the patient will be "cured" of their TMD/FORD, which is why this book was created.

The availability of good quality water in sufficient quantity for the entire population of Ouessè is one of the current issues. The objective of this study is to analyze the quality of well water in the study area through certain physical, chemical and bacteriological parameters. Standardized methods as well as spectrophotometer and titrimetric analysis, and membrane filtration using Chrom-Agar as the culture medium, were used for physical, chemical and bacteriological analyses respectively. A total of 189 wells were inventoried as sources of drinking water, and 378 people were surveyed. Among the wells inventoried, ten (10) were selected, with at least one water sample per district, for the various analyses. The results of the analyses revealed that 9/10 of the samples were physicochemically polluted. The microbial germs sought (total coliforms and Escherichia-coli) were highly present.
