The trends in University Education in the social, economic, political, scientific and technological order have generated a revision of the way of conceiving the academic and research reality. The demands speak of establishing a new model of university management that retains sufficient flexibility and at the same time seeks to break the lines already established on traditional bases between the state, universities, the productive sector and society.

Brazil has the highest concentration of income in the world. Almost 30% of Brazil's income is in the hands of just 1% of the country's inhabitants, the highest concentration of its kind in the world. International experience shows that there needs to be massive and consistent investment in a child's education from the first five or six years of life. What we are currently seeing is a dismantling of the welfare state, with social programmes being reduced or abolished, especially in the areas of education and science and technology. A freeze on public investment for 20 years, privatisations and the dismantling of public banks, unrestricted outsourcing, labour reform and pension reform. It is up to society as a whole to create the means for social development and establish a set of rules that can minimise social inequality.

The article in this book is the result of an integrative literature review and contains information about multiprofessional work within the Family Health Strategy (ESF), as a tool adopted to guarantee comprehensive care for primary care users. Studies carried out with ESF professionals, managers and users were used. A number of charts and tables are available containing the main data in relation to the problems faced by multi-professional teams and the contributions of the effective work of these teams to improving the health conditions of individuals and the community.

Control of public administration - guidance and correction that one branch, body or authority exercises over the functional conduct of another". In Brazil, any administrative action is subject to the principles expressed in Article 37 of the Brazilian Constitution. The control of public administration is regulated by various normative acts, which provide rules, modalities and instruments for organising this control.

The penalties provided for acts of administrative improbity, of various kinds, depend on multiple actions so that they can be executed, and there is no exclusive or universal competence for this task. The work proposes to analyze the mentioned penalties, emphasizing the difficulties in the application, discussing criticism about the legal system chosen in Brazil, indicating the need for a database system for access and maintenance of all information on convictions and proceedings in progress, as well as the results in the executions, seeing this as the only legal way to find effectiveness in the application of penalties.

Digital law is the result of the relationship between the science of law and computer science, always using new technologies. It is the set of norms, applications, knowledge and legal relationships arising from the digital universe. This new legal branch corresponds to the set of rules aimed at protecting human relationships and behavioural violations in digital environments. In other words, if people use technology to send and receive information, conduct business, express opinions, etc., there must be rules and principles to guide behaviour in this environment.

During laparoscopic surgery, insufflation of carbon dioxide for the creation of Pneumoperitoneum (PP) causes multiple hemodynamic variations. The aim of our study is to investigate the efficacy of magnesium sulfate in preventing adverse hemodynamic reactions associated with PP in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Methods: This was a prospective, randomized, double-blind clinical trial conducted at the Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, CHU Habib Bourguiba Sfax. The study included seventy patients aged between 20 and 65 undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, who were randomized into two groups containing 35 patients each.The Mg2+ group: received 50 mg/kg intravenous magnesium sulfate diluted in 100 ml saline prior to anesthetic induction.Group S: received the same volume of 0.9% saline before anesthetic induction.Results and conclusion: Magnesium sulfate administered prior to PP insufflation attenuated the unfavorable hemodynamic response and provided hemodynamic stability.

One of humanity's greatest challenges is related to overcoming the problems linked to hunger and poverty in which some people find themselves. Among the main strategies for action is the promotion of backyards through agricultural production, where vegetables can be grown and species such as chickens, rabbits, goats, pigs, among others, can be raised. This document describes and analyzes the dynamics of innovations in backyard production in Mexico City. The data were obtained through a project coordinated by the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo and SEDAR (formerly SAGARPA). The objective of the research was to describe the production systems before and after the project intervention and through this to develop recommendations for future interventions. In conclusion, the research highlights that extensionists and government institutions are relevant actors to achieve the successful adoption of innovations, and that this helps to increase backyard productivity and, given the literature, leads to food and nutritional security.

This book examines the role of customary land law in the sustainable management of agricultural land. The aim is to find out how customs organize the distribution and use of land, and to verify the existence of sustainable agricultural practices. The data collected and processed led to the following results: Land is collectively owned, with individual possession by natives through inheritance and accession. In Yalosuna, non-natives gain access to land mainly through rental or donation. In Lilanda, purchase and lease are the main means of access to land for non-natives. Slash-and-burn agriculture is practiced on small areas (0.3 to 2 ha) for ±3 months, sometimes 1 and 3 years. This short period of exploitation is justified by the need to gain new land for posterity, with declining fertility only a secondary consideration. Communities leave trees in the field. However, these trees are often left for reasons other than sustainable management. The vast majority of respondents do not plant trees, except those who have received seedlings from the REDD project.

This book, organised by teachers Gilian Evaristo França Silva and Liamar Bonatti Zorzanello, brings together articles presented by students on the Specialisation in Education course offered by the Instituto Federal Catarinense - IFC / Campus Avançado Abelardo Luz. The book offers a rich journey through the readings carried out by the students on the theme of power and its relationship with education, according to their experiences and trajectories on the "school floor".

Rural education has great potential for shaping and transforming rural reality through the education of its students. Since our central question is tutoring as a specific instrument of the Pedagogy of Alternation, the question is whether tutoring provides opportunities and favours the formation and transformation of the student, their community and the social situation of the students at the EFA - PURIS, which is the object of the research. I used interviews, culture circles, my experience as an educator in this space, dialoguing with authors such as FREIRE, OLIVEIRA and CAMPOS, UNEFAB, GIMONET, GARCIA-MARIRRODRIGA and others, as well as AEFA/EFA and CEFFAS documents, to justify and support the discourse and experiences described here. These include tutoring at EFA - PURIS as an instrument of the Pedagogy of Alternation, which is so important for training and transforming the lives of young students, interfering in various aspects of their lives.

This three-chapter handout covers the basic concepts of object-oriented programming (OOP) in Java, in line with the official curriculum [7]. The general aim of this handout is to introduce 2nd year students in the Mathematical Computing (MI) stream to computational thinking in problem solving, to understand the basic foundations of object-oriented programming and to master the techniques of designing advanced programs in the Java language. It does not, of course, require any prior knowledge of the subject, but nevertheless assumes as a given the basics of procedural programming, such as types, variables, loops, functions, etc., learned in the first year of MI.At the end of the course, students will be able to: 1) Write a functional program in Java.2) Find a solution to a simple problem using an object-oriented approach. 3) Use the notion of inheritance as a more advanced development technique to enrich, specialize and prioritize code.

Brazilian teaching and research institutions face difficulties in advancing their internationalisation processes, and society and the state miss out on the opportunity to attract qualified professionals who can contribute to the country's economic and scientific development. Resolution No. 3 of 22 June 2016 of the National Education Council - CNE-CES - and Normative Ordinance No. 22 of 13 December 2016, which aim to speed up the revalidation/recognition process and fill legal gaps within the Higher Education Internationalisation Policy.

The aim of this work is to analyse the system of government established in Venezuela during the period 2013-2016, seeking to specify the theoretical and institutional criteria that allow us to define whether the government is democratic or not, as well as to study the mechanisms used by the political regime to establish itself in the country. Methodologically, it is a work with a qualitative approach, a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, descriptive, documentary, with a bibliographic-documentary design. Documentary observation was used as a technique and as an instrument to organise the information. For a better understanding of the information, three phases will be used, in which the analysis of the different sentences will be developed. The theory of democracy is developed, where different tendencies are conjugated to give form to the variety of the term, and ways of applying it in political regimes; then it is explained how the conceptual elements of democracy are condensed with the competitive authoritarianism and totalitarianism of the State in the conformation of such a structure in the Venezuelan government.

This story begins when two sisters, in their post-adolescent years, discuss the idea of making friends all over the world. The proposal is to send a simple letter to a magazine that will work the miracle. Both share an idea that will then lead the core character of this book, Aruam, to a myriad of actions. In the course of events, one of these decisions will lead to a radical change driven by the protagonist, but supported by her best friend Giovanni, and with the unconditional consent of her sister Ailime. The end of the story teaches us that perseverance always leads to the best results. Here we are invited to never stop fighting for what we want, because "the worst thing to do is the one you don't do".

This research is a case study conducted in the city of Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, where two Afro women of two different generations were interviewed in order to learn their life stories and identify the tensions that arise when trying to preserve their culture, their identity and at the same time how they have grown over time. For the development of the study, three fundamental concepts related to each other were addressed, which serve as support for the achievement of its purpose. These are: Gender, Culture and Family. These concepts are articulated in the social and daily dynamics of the communities approached from different perspectives, which is why in the review it is important to identify elements that contribute to the purpose of the research on the role of Afro women today in relation to their origin and conservation of their cultural values.

Historically, society, whatever its geographical origin, has been a labour force and a builder of social and economic welfare, but it has also been subjected to structures broken down by ideology or economic powers, which manipulate the paths of social welfare. These groups are often classified today as micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, who are categorised by criteria that limit their possibilities for development, as in many cases their status does not allow them to obtain certain benefits such as financing, incentives, etc., simply because they are not eligible for credit or are in the informal sector. It should not be forgotten that not all companies can be large, nor that these companies can provide everything, much less be able to employ an entire nation, and that is where today's MSMEs are born, which in my personal opinion, and in the special case of El Salvador, are currently the result of bad government management, unemployment, poverty, among others.

In common sense, gossip is defined as futility, an evil habit, the work of people who have nothing to do. Associated with lying and bad intentions, it is socially condemned behaviour. In this book, the author shows us that gossip is a much deeper social phenomenon than we imagine and that it provides us with very interesting material for analysing the social representations that circulate in a culture. Who gossips? What or who is gossiped about? What makes a conversation defined as gossip? These are some of the questions that the author uses to deepen her discussion, concluding that, in the field of social psychology, gossip is a rich territory for analysis. Using content published on the internet, on sites classified as "gossip sites", the author delves into an in-depth feminist analysis that reveals social representations about women and femininity that circulate in common sense.

Biodiesel, a renewable biofuel, presents itself as a solution to the current harm caused by oil and its derivatives, significantly reducing the emission of gases that cause global warming. Brazil is in a position to lead the world in biodiesel production. Its use totally or partially replaces petroleum diesel in lorry engines, tractors, cars, electricity and heat generators, among others. Obtaining biodiesel from soya oil provides higher yields, biodiesel plays an important role for both the environment and the economy, as well as having the social aspect of its production.

The fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, while sacred in nature, are not absolute. Their restriction or limitation, motivated by the need to protect public order and the primacy of the general interest, is subject to the judge's control of proportionality. The latter's control of proportionality may be of high or low intensity, based on interpretation of the normative content of fundamental rights and freedoms. If this power of interpretation results from the imprecision of fundamental rights and freedoms, it seems to favor the rise in power of the judge, in his capacity as authentic interpreter of the norm and the normative content of rights and freedoms. This is even more the case for the constitutional judge, guarantor of the fundamental norm that is the Constitution, which affirms these rights and freedoms. This is where the fear of a government of judges arises. However, this fear can be dispelled by perfecting the legal elements and procedural flaws in the judge's control of the proportionality of restrictions on fundamental rights and freedoms.

There are two interesting aspects that can be highlighted in the analysis of the integral behavior of a country: on the one hand, the process it goes through in the performance of its social, economic and political life, and on the other hand, the availability of information collected, ordered and accumulated in databases that will reflect the life of these societies. In terms of social, economic and political life, this occurs following a process that involves the time that elapses, principles and values that are followed, the way resources are managed, and above all some objectives shared by all members of each society that is part of the country. On the other hand, the data must be a faithful reflection of all the above-mentioned behavior over the years. In the present work, credit has been given to the databases managed by an organization of worldwide recognition, such as the International Monetary Fund, which not only reflect the characteristics of the behavior of each country, but also allow the application of statistical and econometric procedures, with which inferences and analyses can be made for the future.

The African continent is today lagging behind in the concert of nations, because of its underdevelopment. Indeed, for a little more than half a century, Africans have remained, citizens of countries sends democratization, sends development, sends emergence.Thus, Africa has always remained on the road, on the way, Africa never arrives, despite all the slogans chanted. Now, many are impatient, rightly and wrongly, asking the question, And today Africa?We must therefore ask ourselves why Africa, being the heir of brilliant civilizations, with enormous economic and ecological potential, and populated by a large number of inhabitants, remains without a voice and without strength in the contemporary world.It is clear that Africa lives and maintains a gap between what it wants and what it does.As he grows up, each African unfortunately becomes aware that he is an heir not only without inheritance but also and chronically indebted.

Tendering is an administrative procedure in which the Direct and Indirect Public Administration obtains the most advantageous proposal, ensuring equal conditions for those taking part in the tender, with a view to concluding an Administrative Contract to promote the interests of the community. Most of the time, administrative contracts seek to fulfil the public interest, are endowed with exorbitant clauses and contain mandatory clauses. Administrative contracts cannot be considered a mere formality, but must be strictly complied with and formally edited by public administration bodies.

The purpose of the book is to highlight the main contributions of neuroscience to the coaching process, as an impact factor in personal development. Through its processes, neurocoaching can reduce the impact of self-sabotage, expanding internal resources for problem-solving, decision-making and behavioral change, using coaching tools such as NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming). To this end, in-depth research was carried out with various researchers using the methodological support of the qualitative approach. Among the main results for the preparation of this book, it was possible to demonstrate that Neuroscience proved to be effective in bringing various benefits to coaching, influencing the individual to think and act coherently, thereby achieving a change from inadequate to effective behavior, and thus adapting to the changes and demands of the current job market and balance in his life.

The aim of this course is to master the methods of Operations Research (OR) by defining the linear optimization model that is specific to each problem studied and by solving the problem using the numerical simplex method in Linear Programming (P.L) or by the graphical method in the 1D, 2D, 3D and possibly 4D cases (problems involving time as the 4th variable) to determine the best possible choice that satisfies optimal requirements while respecting certain regional equality and/or inequality constraints.This book is intended to be used as a course in Operations Research. It contains the basic definitions needed to define a linear optimization problem. It introduces the mathematical way of writing an optimization model to facilitate resolution and avoid confusion between objective function and linking equations. A summary presentation of the exercises in this collection is offered to students as part of their tutorials, reminding them that a table of possible solutions to an exercise using the simplex numerical method summarizes the calculations that can be carried out manually.

The importance of wild edible ectomycorrhizal fungi is indispensable for the conservation of forest ecosystems, due to the mutualistic, non-pathogenic symbiosis they establish with woody species of which they are vital for their nutrition. In addition to carrying out this symbiosis, they participate indirectly in influencing the climate balance, participate in the conservation and formation of soils, and preserve habitats for wildlife. In the present study, the objective was to evaluate the development of ectomycorrhizal roots of Pinus oocarpa from inoculation with 3 edible ectomycorrhizal fungi, widely consumed in Mexico. Inoculated pines showed greater growth in height and stem diameter than non-inoculated pines, and a significant difference in the evaluation of ectomycorrhizal roots. In addition, the inoculation with the edible fungi evaluated resulted in a higher survival of Pinus oocarpa plants under greenhouse conditions as opposed to the controls.

The aim of this book is to verify the relationship between organisational culture, organisational support, positive psychological capital at work and general health in managerial workers. To this end, a descriptive, exploratory and correlational study was carried out with a quantitative approach involving professionals in the area of administration. The subjects answered the Brazilian Instrument for the Assessment of Organisational Culture (IBACO), the Scale of Perceived Organisational Support (EPSO), the Scale of Positive Psychological Capital at Work (ECPP) and the General Health Questionnaire (QSG-12) and Socio-demographic Questionnaire. The analyses confirmed the hypotheses of the influence of organisational culture, organisational support, positive psychological capital at work and general health.

Nursing work is a fundamental element in relieving the suffering of hospitalised paediatric patients, because nursing care is guided by the care needs of patients, respecting their subjectivity and uniqueness. This descriptive qualitative research was proposed out of a desire to understand and contribute to improving the nursing care offered in the paediatric clinic at the Tarcísio de Vasconcelos Maia Regional Hospital. The research aimed to understand the care model developed by the nursing team at the paediatric clinic of the Tarcísio de Vasconcelos Maia Regional Hospital.

It is very common in clinical practice to find numerous assessments for suicidal ideation and/or intentionality, such as after a self-harm attempt or after finding, in an interview for another reason, ideas of hopelessness that may precipitate the act of taking one's own life. In a large number of cases, acts of self-harm are a way for people to express themselves and as a means of releasing tension and asking for help. After the stormiest night, there is always dawn.

This case study presents an educational intervention in which a multisensory, attractive and stimulating experience is developed as a means of learning, with the use of a self-built material based on the Reggio Emilia methodology, developed by the pedagogue Malaguzzi in the mid-twentieth century, the LED light table. Promoting the need to give prominence to the student and his senses as a learning tool, fourteen activities are developed with a student of the Primary Education stage, diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working from curricular content to emotional and behavioral aspects, where the ultimate goal is to interact with the student creating enriching and meaningful contexts, which help him to overcome his needs of generalization of learning and communication and social interaction, with the goal of making him more autonomous. With the promotion of communication and learning through the senses as fundamental principles, its implementation is carried out, setting new educational objectives, such as developing new methods that give prominence to the student's skills.
