Art can only be "a social act that removes the barriers between people, re-establishing the current of brotherhood between consciences". And for this social act to be seen by the majority of people in society, for it to attract and influence them, it is obliged to pass through very powerful media tools, which in this case are only television and cinema, and from this comes their very important role and their very remarkable influence in the unfolding of modern society. To illustrate this, we have chosen to study the usefulness of art in modern society through these two media tools themselves. So we've tried to focus on the importance of cultural programs on television, on the one hand, and the indispensable role of film festivals, on the other.

HIV/AIDS is a major cause of death worldwide. Voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) is recognized as an effective strategy for preventing and managing HIV/AIDS. However, most people do not know their HIV status. This study focuses on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the population of the Kadutu health zone regarding VCT. The overall objective was to improve the population's adherence to HIV/AIDS VCT services. Three hypotheses were formulated: 1) the population has little knowledge of VCT, 2) it has negative attitudes towards VCT, 3) use of VCT services is low. A cross-sectional survey of 400 households was carried out. The results showed that 92% of respondents were aware of VCT and its benefits, refuting the first hypothesis. However, negative attitudes were identified, with 96.5% of respondents rejecting people living with HIV and 68.7% associating testing with infidelity or irresponsibility, confirming the second hypothesis. What's more, only 7.5% of respondents had ever been tested, supporting the third hypothesis.

Despite the administrative division, Haut-Lomami is a mono-ethnic province with pockets of Zela in Malemba-Nkulu, Sanga in Bukama, Songe in Kabongo and Cokwe and Songe in Kaniama. What's more, the Luba people generally share the same language and the same history, but not, in particular, the same culture. All these linguistic elements should cement the cohesion of the Luba space, and constitute a more powerful people and develop this province. In spite of this, Haut-Lomami has become the scene of recurring conflicts between the leaders of the institutions. All these disputes are at the root of the institutional crisis. That's why we've taken a closer look at this gloomy situation to find out the ins and outs of this institutional crisis.

The significant importance of the link between philosophy and particular sciences is something demonstrated in the practice of science, hence the interest in bringing this topic to the process of comprehensive training of those who work as professionals in the different branches of knowledge and scientific research. The philosophical knowledge presented to the reader in this book constitutes an indisputable advantage in terms of the development of the researcher's logical thinking, as well as his objective and dynamic vision of the different objects, phenomena and processes that are present in nature, in society and in human thought. The guiding value of philosophy in the theoretical-practical actions and in the methodological assumptions that are offered here, place the scientist familiar with this science in a position of primacy, essential to develop all his creative potential in the professional work he carries out. . From this perspective, in the present work we work on the basis of the postulate that every scientist must be a true philosopher of his own science.

In The role of the philosopher in society, the author points out, reveals and installs the lasting advent of the philosopher's word in the Congolese public space, where until now only the noise of ethno- partisans and other politically masked associations, wanting to catch citizens in flagrante delicto of imbecility and clouding of discernment, with regard to organized resourcefulness on public governance, for which the Prime Minister responds. Thus, in his dual role as civil servant of Humanity and bird of Minerva, the philosopher pushes the resourceful people of the Republic to take care of their management of public affairs, in order to escape his triple questioning (critical) gaze, interrogation (persistent) and questioning (permanent), with the ethical objective of pushing them to do better, to earn the trust of the people, whose present absence is reflected in the constant increase in the rate of abstention in elections.

Contraception is a method designed to prevent, either reversibly and temporarily, or permanently, the fertilization of an egg by a spermatozoon or, if fertilization occurs, the implantation of the fertilized egg. No method of contraception is 100% reliable. Of all of them, only the male and female condom offer protection against Sexually Transmitted Infections, in particular HIV transmission.Scientific methods of contraception appeared in the course of the 20th century, and especially in its second half. Intra-uterine devices, or IUDs, made their appearance around 1962, and polyethylene became the reference material, marketed in hundreds of models. In Mali, the concept of birth spacing emphasizes the notion of the interval to be maintained between births, without regard to family size. The level of use of Modern Contraceptive Methods remains low in Mali, as in most African countries.

From September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022, we recorded 66 cases of erectile dysfunction in the Point G Urology Department out of a total of 890 patients admitted to the department, representing a frequency of 7.41% (66/890). The mean age of patients was 48.01, with extremes of 24 and 77 years. The over-50 age group was the most represented at 47%, with shopkeepers accounting for 22.4%. After questioning, the most common reason for consultation was SBAU (69.69%), as opposed to complaints from the partner (9.09%). 37.87% of patients had an enlarged prostate at TR. In most cases, the results of these examinations were normal, confirming the psychogenic origin of the vast majority of ED. In terms of evolution, 25.8% regained a normal erection, 45.5% noted a progressive improvement over several months, while 6.1% showed intermittent improvement and 7.6% noted no improvement; 3.0% noted a worsening of the dysfunction. And 13.6% were lost to follow-up.

No entity can be properly administered without the exercise of leadership, crystallized by a right to command, which is called authority, and a capacity to do, which is called power. Authority is necessary and even indispensable in any environment where there is a certain hierarchy. Without it, there would be no order, no respect for principles, and each individual would do as he pleases (Somerville R, quoted by ABABA GARY José, le leadership et phénomène du pouvoir dans l'organisation, Mémoire inédit, ESM Dakar, 2007). In our societies around the world in general, and in the Masisi territory in particular, we generally encounter a lack of understanding of the terms ethics, authority, power and leadership. This unfortunate situation is found not only in many traditional entities, representing the smallest cell of society, but also in the largest body, the State, personified by the government, as Robert Somerville sees it.

Mercury (Hg) can be considered one of the elements with the greatest toxic potential due to its ability to bioaccumulate and biomagnify along trophic chains. The increasing use of mercury by humans has caused significant changes in its biogeochemical cycle, jeopardising the health of exposed human populations. Bacteria play a key role in the cycling of mercury, which once released into the environment, acts by selecting resistant bacterial strains. The most studied mechanism of mercury resistance is mediated by the merA gene and consists in the reduction of Hg(II) into elemental mercury. The use of resistant bacteria is considered a promising approach for bioremediation of mercury-contaminated environments. In this work, water samples were collected from several Brazilian aquatic ecosystems with the aim of isolating and characterising mercury-resistant bacterial strains with bioremediation potential.

In order to carry out effective and efficient transport, it is necessary to be based on integration, since logistics operations must be evaluated by the way in which the links in their chain are related. In the case of rail transport of sugar, it is necessary to integrate road transport from the producing mill to the intermodal terminal, where a transshipment operation takes place and, subsequently, this logistical solution will be realised with the realisation of the rail transport operation. In addition to the operational aspects, integration must also exist in the context of transport management, after all, the factors internal to the logistics chain of the product to be transported must be integrated with the external factors of the chain itself. The increased use of the rail transport option appears as a potential risk reducer. Thus, it is necessary to analyse the internal and external factors that influence the sugar freight contracting market. In addition, it is important that those involved in the sector evaluate and quantify the advantages of increasing the use of such modes, analysing the risk resilience and financial savings of such a strategy.

Malnutrition is a set of clinical manifestations due to an inadequate intake in quantity and/or quality in the diet of nutrients necessary for normal growth and proper functioning of the organism. This was a retrospective study from 2019 to 2020, i.e. a period of 1 year for the retrospective and 2021 for the prospective, which aimed to measure the strength of the association between anemia and factors linked to severe acute malnutrition. A total of 13.5% severe anemia was found in children hospitalized for severe acute malnutrition during our study period, with microcytic hypochromic anemia being the most common at 83.5%. The age range was 13 to 24 months. Marasmus was the most common clinical form of malnutrition, with a rate of 88.5%. The median duration of follow-up at the nutritional rehabilitation center was
