The present work was focused on improving the prosocial competences of 8th grade EGB students of the Basic Education School "2 de marzo", starting from an analysis of the students' behavior during the teaching-learning process. The study was oriented in a mixed research with a descriptive and documental link in order to describe the characteristics and dimensions of prosocial behaviors. The study population consisted of 70 students who were administered a 15-question questionnaire with Likert-type items with the dimensions of cooperation, solidarity and empathy. The instrument was validated and constructed under the expert judgment methodology, reaching a Cronbach's alpha statistic of 0.848. The results contrasted certain needs for improvement in each dimension. Based on this analysis, a methodological guide is proposed that contains strategies duly structured and based on the current reality in the teaching and learning processes to be duly applied in each classroom.

This work aimed to investigate the teaching work process in its relationship with mental health and psychological illness. The focus was on teachers in public and public schools, as teacher illness is increasing in Brazil, as well as the devaluation of this profession. This devaluation has serious consequences for teachers' health, causing the so-called identity crisis experienced by these workers, who find themselves unable to cope with various factors that impede their performance. The results indicate that the accelerated change of the globalised world brings significant transformations to the profession of teachers today and also to the function of education. The public and private sectors of Brazilian education, although they differ in terms of infrastructure and financial conditions, end up conceiving the same problem related to education: its function for parents, students and society. The Psychologist's work and the Psychodynamics of Work seek a look at the worker's health, which enables and promotes listening and thus the elaboration and resignification of suffering.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most frequent arrhythmias and is an important cause of morbidity and mortality, mainly associated with increased risk of stroke. Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is a progressive, silent pathology and represents a manifestation of early cardiac damage caused by arterial hypertension, is considered a risk marker, essentially of AF and stroke and especially increases the risk of morbidity, acute myocardial infarction and ischaemic disease. This is an exploratory cross-sectional study of a non-probabilistic sequential sample, representative of the population of Trás-os-Montes who used primary care, aged 40 years or over. The prevalence and incidence of AF and LVH were based on electrocardiograms classified by cardiologists. Anthropometric and clinical data were collected to characterise the population. The electrocardiogram is the test indicated for diagnosing AF and LVH in primary care. Because of the high values obtained, it is important to develop strategies to control risk factors, since AF and LVH increase the risk of stroke.

Hélio Oiticica is radical in the possibilities of the state and of invention, so that his questionings, like the possibility of the new, happen all the time marked by the encounters, different references and experiences that intersect during his journey to produce a "minor art" that reveals the potentiality of creation outside the majority models and discourses of power. Far from formal education modes, the artist communicates and builds his project through courses, trips, letters, diaries, phone calls and parties, which apparently is not new, but, when diving into these documents, traces, memories, his audacity becomes current and the opportunity is created to seek in his scribbles, new provocations, directly or indirectly for the body, for the scene, for society.

In the early 1970s, Boaventura de Sousa Santos carried out empirical research in a favela in Rio de Janeiro. With this research, he aimed to answer three questions: the extent of the rhetorical space or field of argumentation, the internal constitution of the rhetorical space, and the social conditions of the return of rhetoric in general and legal rhetoric in particular in the second half of the twentieth century. In this book, I set out to see if, in the answers Santos sought about the rhetorical space and the social conditions of its return in the favela that served as his research space, it is possible to find the emergence of a legal model parallel to the state model capable of providing us with emancipatory democratic bases. Was there thus, in the 1970s, a phenomenon of Legal Pluralism in Brazil, in which a community not assisted by State Law was able to create an emancipatory normative model, more flexible, less punitivist and still guarantee the construction of a democratic legitimacy?

The Civil War in the United States between 1861 and 1865 was one of America's greatest conflicts. From the beginning, the Union enlisted black men in the army, with the support of the federal government. Since then, the figure of Abraham Lincoln has been linked to ideals of abolitionism and unification. Thus, the focus of this research is to understand how the myth surrounding Abraham Lincoln was built in the military and political sphere, permeating the visions of freedom of black soldiers who saw in the president a symbol of strength and justice willing to work for general and unrestricted freedom, but who also criticised his mandate. To this end, we will begin with an in-depth discussion of the main historiographical currents on the subject, and then we will focus on the social and political panorama of the United States at the time of the Civil War. From there, we will be able to look for traces of the construction of Lincoln's image in letters written by black soldiers, their officers and civilians affected by their struggles. Thus, we hope to enter the universe of black soldiers' views on war and freedom, seeking to understand how Lincoln permeated them.

Difficulties encountered in learning chemistry content are part of the daily lives of many students, especially from public schools, where the available teaching resources are often limited. In view of this, this work aims to use playful activities as a tool for learning the periodic table (TP), in the 3rd year of high school at the state school Antônio Francisco, located in the municipality of Felipe Guerra, RN. For this, the students used the Quis app of the Periodic Table, on the smartphone, together with the interactive Google table available on their website, where they explored the different levels of teaching of the same. After three classes of contact with the application, the students were subjected to some questions about the tool used. Of a total of 30 (thirty) students, 87% (eighty-seven percent) reported that the use of the application facilitated learning and knowledge about TP, demonstrating that the use of playful activities through digital tools can complement traditional teaching in order to add knowledge to students and improve the assimilation of the contents taught in class.

Many complex things have simple, nevertheless correct explanations. The book uses new logical approaches to correctly present very many key topics of cognition in simple verbal forms, quite understandable to high school students. The most amazing thing is that a great deal of true knowledge about the study of the world was discovered even by ancient Greek philosophers. Some of their ideas were thousands of years ahead of the development of scientific progress, and even today they are not all correctly understood in science. The author has had to recreate and further develop ancient dialectical logic to properly explain the precious placers of ancient truths and their great importance for the development of modern knowledge. Dialectical logic has its origins in Parmenides. It forms the knowledge of how the universe is organized and how the system of human concepts is organized. How everything is organized. This is how the perfect intuition of man works. It is such a perfect, though coming from ancient origins, system of knowledge organization that opens to each person a clear path to his perfection. Their secret is that it does not accept falsity - because falsity creates doubts and thus prevents an instantaneous conclusion.

All academic work carries with it the need to transmit knowledge, which is why this work entitled Integral Auditing initially presents the meanings that determine the Audit conceived as the accumulation, process and evaluation of evidence that is based on verifiable information, as well as regulations that allow determining and reporting on the degree of correspondence between the information and previously established criteria. Therefore, the audit should be performed primarily to facilitate the understanding of quantifiable information provided by financial statements, declarations and other factors. In this sense, this work marks a relevant guideline since it visualizes through its content the development of information on the subject that is usually of interest to those (students, teachers and professionals in general) who have the opportunity to access it.

The teaching process is constantly changing and always seeks new solutions to facilitate the understanding and abstraction of concepts. With the emergence of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), social relations have changed in order to change the way the individual relates to the environment. In this scenario, Facebook is a social network that enables interaction between various social and cultural segments present in society. In Brazil, there are more than 136 million users who use Facebook. Despite its potential, this is a technology that is still little used for educational purposes. This social network presents some resources that can be used, for example, for the Popularisation of Science, especially Astronomy.

This study seeks to critically analyse the series of changes in the political and economic role of the state in Europe since the 1970s, concomitant with the process of integration of the old continent and the rise of the neoliberal regulatory model. Along these lines, special attention will be given to the responses given to the global economic crisis of 2008 onwards, especially the austerity measures imposed by the Troika on the peripheral nations of the European Union. Furthermore, we seek to understand how these political-economic austerity guidelines are reflected in Brazil in the current political, fiscal and economic crisis and contribute to the cutting of social, economic and cultural rights and guarantees, corroborating with marginalisation and social inequality in Brazil. Finally, it should be noted that this book is the result of a bibliographical documentary research, whose main theoretical references are the works "The current crisis of capitalism" and "The capitalist state and its masks" by José Avelãs Nunes.

Karl Marx (2007) will provide the tools to think of marijuana consumption as a commodity stigmatised by the State and point out the criticism of the State as a castrator of the freedom and autonomy of individual users of the herb, reinforcing the opposition of interests between the State (oppressive apparatus) and civil society (composed of social agents capable of contesting and fighting for changes in the current society); Émile Durkheim will provide the tools to think of marijuana consumption as a social fact that causes divergent and antagonistic opinions in the moral consciousness of our society and also in the dynamics of Law, which is always prone to undergo changes in time and space to adapt to the new moral consciousness of society brought and made possible by the emergence and advent of new times; Arthur Schopenhauer (2002) will provide the tools for reflection on the feeling of being imprisoned and the human suffering arising from this confinement; Friedrich Nietzsche (2007) will provide the tools to think about the proposal to legalise marijuana from the questioning of the perpetuation of the moral values of certain types of societies.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the economic weight of secondary schooling in household budgets in the city of Kindu. In this study, we used the non-probabilistic occasional sampling technique of surveying households (individuals) who were available to answer our closed and open-ended questions. In formulating the closed questions, we opted for a binary choice to facilitate econometric data processing using Eviews 9.0 software. Schooling a child is a cost for households, especially for children at secondary level. In this study, we have shown that the cost of sending children to school is close to 80% of average household income in the town of Kindu, and that socio-economic factors are behind the increase in the weight of children attending school during the last school year.

The objective is to analyze the classical RTS Architectural Patterns and evaluate how they adapt to IoT. As a first step, specific quality attribute scenarios for IoT should be specified. From this it will be possible to analyze the compatibility of the classic patterns and what features should be included to meet the new challenges. It is an approach to understand the challenges of the RTS, not only from the Architecture, but from other aspects that should be considered in our discipline such as the Development Methodology or how to define a correct Test Strategy for this type of Systems.

In the Eastern Pacific, there are patterns of interannual, decadal and secular variability associated with environmental change factors such as the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) and the Pacific Secular Variability (PSV) defined by the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI), establishing transitory and relatively permanent conditions, determined by the dynamics of the Great Marine Ecosystem of the Humboldt Current (GEMCH), which occupies a large part of the Southeast Pacific. El Niño is a transcendental event in the oceanic dynamics of the GEMCH, but it is transitory and, after a few months to no more than 2 years, it concludes, returning the system to the conditions of the prevailing decadal moment (periodicity), warm, cold or temperate as differentiated by Euclidean distance analysis. Periodicity is affected by secularity (PSV) defined by the variance of the Southern Oscillation Index. Both periodicity and secularity are climatic states that affect the economies of coastal countries with regionally and globally important fisheries.

Seventy years after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the world reality shows a strong frustration regarding the levels of satisfaction of human rights. In the search for answers to reverse this situation, Human Duties appear as a key element to be taken into account. As a counter-face, foundation and limit to Rights, the vindication of Duties claims a vehement centrality in order to achieve, as José Saramago asks, a better world. This essay will attempt to approach Human Duties on the basis of the difficulty in their conceptualisation, then it will be necessary to take a historical look at the changes in the paradigm of law and the different international documents on the subject; this journey will in turn allow us to determine certain causes that have led to their invisibility, in order to finally propose a concept and characteristics of human duties.

A 6-year-old female patient came to the UACJ disability clinic for consultation. The patient was diagnosed with facial femoral syndrome which manifests with a variable expressivity always accompanied by facial dysmorphism. The intra oral and extra oral findings present in the patient are described as well as the dental treatment provided in order to correct the anomalies that prevent the proper functioning of the stomatognathic apparatus. The treatment was divided into three phases, restorative to restore health to dental organs affected by caries, preventive avoiding the development of future carious lesions and finally corrective with the use of maxillary expanders such as hyrax, Schwartz appliance and facial mask. It is important that these patients are treated by a transdisciplinary team of which the pediatric dentist should be part in order to improve the quality of life of these patients through the diagnosis and treatment of malocclusions and abnormalities in the physiological functions of the stomatognathic apparatus at an early age, preventing future complications.

The place of women in the development process, and particularly in social decision-making, is still a topical issue in African countries. In Chad, despite the fact that women make up 52% of the total population, the literature shows that they are not involved in socio-economic and political decision-making. Women in the commune of Faya-Largeau, who represent 45.24% of the communal population (RGPH, 2009), are not spared this discrimination. Several factors disadvantage women's leadership in this commune. The hypothesis of our study is that socio-cultural weight disadvantages women's leadership. The aim of our work is to show the impact of social and cultural burdens on women's leadership in the commune of Faya-Largeau, despite the efforts made by the government and its partners.

In the pages of this book the reader of philosophy, or the reader interested in the theory of justice as equity, will find an introductory explanation of the concept of the state defended by Rawls and by his theoretical opponent Robert Nozick. A detailed explanation of classical utilitarianism and the oppositions presented by Kant and Rawls to this theory. Also an explanation of Rawlsian contractualism added to the philosopher's critique of intuitionism and his debate with McIntyre's communitarianism, advancing the discussion between these two philosophers in another topic dealing with Justice as a virtue. This is, therefore, a revised and expanded edition that aims to present a deep introduction to the philosophy of John Rawls. More precisely, this book seeks to bring the reader an explanation of the concept of freedom developed by the American philosopher in his theory of justice as equity, entangled by key concepts such as Autonomy of the individual, Rationality and Reasonableness. We bring in these pages a sharp explanation of the Rawlsian principles of justice, among other concepts. We hope that the reader can have a clear access to Rawls' theory.

DSPs (Digital Signal Processors) are processors specifically designed for digital signal processing. The diversity of applications has enabled these devices to evolve considerably since they first appeared in the 1980s. The best-known example is the TMS32010 fixed-point DSP from Texas Instruments, the world market leader in this type of technology. In fact, there are two main families of this type of processor: fixed-point DSPs using integer arithmetic, and floating-point DSPs operating in floating-point arithmetic. The latter are the fastest and most accurate, but also the most expensive. In this book, we present the general characteristics found in most DSPs, the so-called 'conventional' architecture found in first-generation DSPs and in the vast majority of today's processors, the general history tracing the evolution of these different architectures up to the most recent, the place occupied by DSPs relative to other computing structures and, finally, the DSP software development tool.

Criminal responsibility is defined as the obligation to undergo the punishment provided for by law in reparation for an offence committed; or the obligation to answer for one's criminal acts and to undergo the punishment attached to them by law. This subject, which arouses a great deal of passion, may be seen by some as anathema to the art of Hippocrates, or as an indictment of healthcare professionals as a whole. This extrapolation can only be the result of hasty and erroneous conclusions, since the scientific purpose of this study is to present to the public the legal framework of the criminal liability of health workers in the Republic of Congo. In fact, this work provides an analysis of the laws and regulations governing the exercise of the health professions, the system of individual criminal liability, and the state of Congolese case law in this area. The aim is to strengthen the repression of offences committed by health professionals through the adoption and implementation of appropriate criminal and penal policies for better social defence.
