The management of healthcare-associated infections becomes more complex if one considers that the prevalence of aetiological agents has changed over the last few years and varies from one centre to another. The main factor responsible for the emergence and spread of so-called multidrug-resistant microorganisms (MDR) is the inappropriate use of antimicrobials at the hospital and community level. It is estimated that by 2050, if antimicrobial resistance (AMR) continues to escalate, infections caused by drug-resistant microorganisms will be the leading cause of death in the human population, surpassing any other currently prevalent pathology and constituting a serious threat to public health worldwide. This paper presents the prevalence of HCAI obtained by applying the 2014 EPINE-EPPS protocol, the epidemiological and microbiological characteristics and antimicrobial resistance in critical areas of the Hospital S.A.M.I.C. Oberá, a third level institution, in order to implement strategies aimed at prevention and control.

In this work, completed in 2013, I analysed the ten biggest box office hits of entertainment cinema at the time, in order to identify in these films the existence of a consumerist ideology, that is, the existence of values that seek to create a hegemonic discourse favourable to consumerist practices. For this, I sought to establish the relationship between Cultural Industry, ideology and culture, understanding, then, what is Post-Modernity and the Consumer Society. The next step was to analyse the ten films selected according to the criterion of highest box office, using as a basis two methods: the "Hermeneutics of Depth", present in the research of John Thompson (2002) and the method of "Film Analysis", proposed by Manuela Penafria (2009). Several theorists considered pertinent to these discussions were used in order to enrich this work and lead to a greater understanding of the role that entertainment cinema plays in contemporary society. The last step was to establish the relationship between cinema and politics, analysing historical moments in which cinema was used politically to finally dissect the relationship between cinema and consumption.

The Schrems rulings, named after Austrian activist Maximilian Schrems who filed a complaint against hi-tech giant Facebook in 2013, are two measures adopted by the Court of Justice of the European Union in relation to the overseas transfer of European citizens' personal data. The first 2015 ruling determines the invalidation of the Safe Harbor international agreement in force since 2000 between Europe and the United States of America. The second ruling in 2020 has a similar outcome with the invalidation of the new international Privacy Shield agreement signed in 2016.The two Schrems rulings, in addition to their obvious impact on the transfer of personal data overseas, also have political significance and should become an occasion for reflection: the rapid pace of technological evolution and globalization have demonstrated the importance of ensuring the European Union's technological and digital sovereignty; the storage and processing of data within European borders can become a lever for choosing European providers over U.S. operators for whom the necessary requirements would make overseas transfer disadvantageous.

Post-conflict management is therefore of fundamental importance in that it calls for the stakeholders to put in place a set of administrative, political, economic and diplomatic measures with a view to perpetuating the pre-conflict order. In other words, post-conflict management makes it possible to gradually but definitively heal the gaping wounds left in the flesh and hearts of those torn apart by the conflict.

For many researchers, such as Fernando Millares, Consultant for Water and Sanitation at the IDB, the issue of the water crisis is "scarcity in the midst of abundance", which is typical in our region according to the indices found. According to Millares, global water is 97.5% salt water, which we practically do not use, and only 2.5% is fresh water. However, of that 2.5%, 1.7% is tied up in ice and glaciers at the global level and another 0.7% is in the subsoil, which we use very little. That is to say that all the water that exists at surface level, imagine the great rivers: the Amazon River, the Nile River, represent only 0.1% of the water at global level. If you take that 0.1% of global water, it translates to about 10 million cubic kilometres of water. If you take the world's population, about seven billion people, and an average use, per person, of about a thousand litres per person per day, that amount of water, even if it seems small at the global level, means that we have water to use for more than ten thousand years.

The book "Beyond Oil: Towards an Ecological Future" explores the environmental challenges posed by our dependence on hydrocarbons and proposes solutions for a sustainable future. Through the various chapters, we have examined the environmental impacts of hydrocarbon extraction, the consequences for the climate and global warming. We have explored alternatives to hydrocarbons, such as renewable energies, and discussed emerging technologies for a successful energy transition. In addition, we looked at innovations in the oil industry, initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint of refineries and the preservation of ecosystems. Societal and political challenges linked to dependence on hydrocarbons were addressed, as were the policies and regulations needed to promote sustainable alternatives. Individual commitment was emphasized, with suggestions for daily gestures to reduce our carbon footprint, and the importance of environmental education and awareness was highlighted.

Previously, blood was considered irreplaceable in the body because its use in therapy had harmful, even fatal consequences for the patients transfused, to the extent that the success of a transfusion was due to chance. Our hypothesis: here in Kinshasa, many people are still unaware of their blood groups, which makes it difficult to carry out blood transfusions. If necessary (accidents, accidental childbirth, comas, etc.), we believe that knowledge of blood groups among the people of Kinshasa could reduce transfusion accidents. Our objective will be to highlight the importance of knowing one's blood group in life prevention and to find out about the distribution of blood groups in the world population as a whole. Our work focuses on transfusion safety and the fight against haemolytic disease. For our research, it consists in the knowledge of the blood group of the ABO system and that thanks to the work of LANDSTEINER that we knew that there were in the blood of the human ones the antigens (Ag) and the antibodies (Ac) defining the various blood groups.

Many families live under risk factors and vulnerabilities that influence family dynamics, affecting the psychosocial stability of young people, criteria that are, according to some authors, triggers for committing crimes. Understanding the role of this family is of fundamental importance in planning public policies. A quantitative and qualitative study was carried out, consisting of field research, with exploration of documentary data and semi-structured interviews with adolescent offenders detained in the Interinstitutional Integrated Duty and their family members / guardians. Determinants of offending behaviour are: social and material deprivation; amorphous family structure; domestic violence; school dropout; inoperative social assistance network; the family, due to multifactorial problems, is incompetent in supporting the biopsychosocial development of adolescents, leading them in many cases to commit offences.

The General Health Law (Law 14/1986) was the beginning of the transition from Social Security Health Care, a system fragmented into various subsystems without a joint management, with coverage of workers, pensioners and family members or assimilated and financed by contributions, to a National Health System, with universal coverage and financed by taxes. A decentralized "devolution" type system is organized, so that a Health Service is set up in each Autonomous Community. Decentralization took place over a period of 21 years, between 1981 and 2002. The General Health Law recognizes the right of all Spaniards and foreign citizens residing in Spain to the benefits of the health system and programs the progressive extension of health care. Health coverage under the Social Security Healthcare System was progressively (incrementally) extended to special groups, residents in Spain without sufficient economic resources (Royal Decree 1088/1989), EU foreigners and non-EU foreigners registered in Spain (Organic Law 4/2000).

This book, the fruit of an extensive period of ethnographic field research, sheds light on one of the ethnic groups least addressed in the academy. The Roma, victims of persecution wherever they go, are one of the peoples who have historically suffered the most hardship while the least is known about them. Faced with such a responsibility, we thought of developing this book so that their voices could finally be heard. To this end, this work inserts speeches and representations of the world of the Roma themselves of the Calon ethnic group of Camaçari - BA, as one of the possible portraits of this reality so distant from our daily lives.

Although Willis-Ekbom syndrome was first described in the 1940s, it is in the last 20 years that it has received increased attention. This is due to the high prevalence in the general population. Other factors have also contributed, such as the important advances in genetic characterisation, the general boost provided by the rise of sleep medicine in the developed world, or the potential morbidity factor that this disease represents for other diseases, such as cardiovascular or metabolic diseases, not to mention the important advances in treatment. As a result, the number of patients diagnosed and treated for RLS has increased significantly in recent years.

Communication plays a decisive role in the socio-economic development of communities. It defines a social process based on promoting dialogue between communities and decision-makers at local, regional, national and international levels. The agricultural sector is of strategic importance to sustainable development throughout the world, and especially in Tunisia. Strengthened by extension, it represents a strategic component for ensuring food security and health, and achieving community development objectives in rural areas, including poverty reduction and the preservation of natural resources. Today, extension is no longer about providing farmers with ready-to-use technological innovations. As a result, it would be useful to consider extension reform as a means of promoting the agricultural sector and creating a more favorable environment for community development. This book, packed with illustrations, is aimed particularly at students and those involved in community development and agricultural extension.

Pb is an ancient metal that has multiple industrial uses, but when it is manipulated and present in living organisms such as humans, it has serious pathological effects on systems, organs and tissues, the amount in the body will be proportional to the toxic severity. The objective of this work is to update the knowledge on the occupational implications of Pb exposure and its damage to health in different geographical areas. This metal is present in some occupational activities and in the environment in general. The absorption of this mineral depends on the degree of occupational and environmental exposure in men and women. Monitoring by health areas is essential for detection, early prevention and treatment of people affected by the environment, food or occupational handling. Its determination is by means of a venous blood sample, which helps to determine risk levels of exposure to Pb in blood ¿10 µg/dl. At high levels, Pb in the body causes permanent damage to the brain and CNS. This damage can lead to seizures, loss of muscle control and coma.

ABSTRACT: Violence against women has become generalised in society, manifesting itself as a problem within the current neoliberal system, which at the same time has facilitated its reproduction, mainly linked to the economic context and at the same time overlapping with the social and political. The content of this book has a gender perspective, incorporating aspects of the community and the neoliberal system, interpreting the facts with a Freudian tendency that speaks of socialisation and on the other hand with a Marxist tendency, placing capital at the centre as the main factor generating gender inequality and violence. It addresses the role of civil society in the treatment of violence against women in a commune called Tomé based on the levels of membership and social participation versus the levels of individualism, rethinking the traditional forms of intervention.

Workers' health and safety still requires a lot of study, attention and public and private policies to guarantee it. Despite being one of the most common occupational diseases, hearing loss continues to affect many workers. Thus, the development of hearing loss prevention programmes (HLPP) is more than necessary. However, it is not enough for the programmes to be developed, they need to be effective. And for this to happen, HIPs need to consider, in addition to quantitative aspects, qualitative aspects of the work environment. Their effectiveness depends on compliance with the legislation, but also on the information provided to workers. The different social actors, especially the workers, need to be involved. Thus, Health Education, with effective communication, needs to be present in the elaboration and implementation of PPPAs.
