The works gathered in this collection entitled "Scientific initiation in the fight against negative ideas" were selected as the best articles presented in each of the thematic areas of the VIII Research Meeting and XII Scientific Initiation Meeting of the Faculty of Telêmaco Borba, held on October 27-29, 2021. Thus, both the event that gave rise to the publication and the collection presented here are part of an institutional policy to support academic research, especially scientific initiation, promoting it as an educational principle that motivates pedagogical practice in the university context, seeking to develop a permanent capacity for reconstructive questioning for human and professional training, in order to train competent individuals committed to the search for solutions to the challenges of the contemporary world, who know how to find and propose solutions through research, that is, professionals with sensitivity, creativity and competence to identify problems, build and rebuild answers.

The purpose of this book is that through various currents, theories and techniques you are able to restructure the thoughts you have and thus change your way of perceiving life, likewise the decision making you have will be different and you will avoid disorders such as anxiety, depression, alcoholism, drug addiction and anger problems.Currently several successful entrepreneurs, athletes and therapists have made it clear that in order to achieve success in life not only financially but also emotionally is of utmost importance to train the mind.

In short, our study focused on stereotypes of the female gender among children in Ivorian advertising. Our aim was to show the presence of female gender stereotypes among children in Ivorian advertising. After carrying out a qualitative content analysis of our corpus of commercials, we can conclude that Ivorian advertisements do indeed contain gender stereotypes. We were able to verify this by asserting specific hypotheses. The authors of advertisements in Côte d'Ivoire use stereotypes to develop their campaigns.

For a forward-looking analysis of Algeria's energy sector, it is essential to know the country's indicators in order to better understand its rent policy. The depletion of hydrocarbon resources calls for a new source of income. The transition to economic diversification is underway. Strengthening the power grid could make electricity an exportable product. The country must take advantage of the presence of hydrocarbon resources and rents to implement all the projects that will replace them. Energy and rents have built Algeria, and will continue to build it, if the mastery of the technologies inherent in new energies is matched by excellence in the execution of projections for the new Algeria, which has had to cope with two shocks: one popular, the Hirak, and the other global, the Covid-19 pandemic. This work takes a look at Algeria's progress since independence, with a view to forecasting the integration of renewable energies into the energy mix.

The aim of this book is to highlight the latest reforms in the Algerian education system, which began practically from the 2004 / 2005 school year. They represent a key stage in the teaching/learning process of FLE in this country, since they have emphasized the introduction of oral expression (comprehension and production) in the various classroom activities. With these reforms, the learner has taken on a privileged role as the main actor in his or her own learning. The oral expression activity must be systematically introduced in any FLE course, as it enables them to be in direct and permanent contact with the target language. Although they have specific characteristics, the two oral/written codes form the same teaching object insofar as learners practice them in the classroom or in everyday life. As a result, oral communication plays a vital role in the mastery of the foreign language, in both spoken and written form.

Young people are a segment of the population that is generally defined by age characteristics. However, the perspective of cultural studies has largely managed to overcome this vision by considering it as a category that is culturally constructed in relation to multiple factors, where age is one of them. Defining young people from a socio-cultural perspective implies going beyond biological limits such as age and not assuming youth as a homogeneous category that responds to a single identification variable. Including chronological, family, cultural, psychosocial, institutional aspects and, above all, the logic of the construction of age differences within a given society, are indispensable requirements in the analysis of the relationship between youth and identity.

A prognostic factor is an aspect of the cancer or a characteristic of the person that the doctor takes into consideration when making a prognosis. A predictive factor influences how the cancer responds to a certain treatment. Prognostic and predictive factors are often discussed together. In the case of colon cancer, prognostic factors make it possible to guide therapeutic decisions more precisely, particularly in the field of chemotherapy, which has proved its effectiveness in terms of survival, and to guide postoperative surveillance more precisely.There are many prognostic factors for colon cancer, but the only ones that are currently validated are surgical excision and TNM staging. In light of the progress made over the last few decades in terms of management, we need to validate and/or research other prognostic factors.

This book is a way of helping to save energy and protect the environment. Indeed, any technology that reduces the use of batteries in these devices offers numerous advantages in terms of size, weight, maintenance and cost. From an ecological point of view, this technology limits their number (which is still increasing today) and therefore the associated risks of soil pollution and groundwater contamination, as well as recycling problems. In this book, we present the design of innovative multi-standard radio-frequency energy recovery systems to offer greater flexibility in powering autonomous sensors. The rectenna energy harvesting solution presented in this book consists of an antenna and a rectifier circuit. It is the specific subject of the studies carried out in this book. The design and construction of the rectennas presented in this book take into account constraints such as the limit of the energy consumption of the system.

Evolutionary computation is an area of computer science that utilises ideas from biological evolution to solve computational problems. Many of these problems require searching through a huge space of solution possibilities, such as among a large number of possible hardware circuit layouts for a configuration that produces the desired behaviour, for a set of equations that will predict the ups and downs of a financial market, or for a collection of rules that will control a robot as it navigates its environment. These computational problems often require a system to be adaptive - that is, to continue to perform well in a constantly changing environment.

Entrepreneurship has taken a new format in recent years, characterized by the implementation of microenterprises and with the help of digital marketing, a primary tool for increasing sales. The objective is to conduct a case study in a micro-enterprise led by women of jewelry, located in Fortaleza-Ce and that uses digital media to publicize and market their products. It also presents and points out the application of entrepreneurial concepts. The research in question is characterized as qualitative and quantitative because it is a study based on bibliographic research, through books, websites, scientific articles and academic studies, and through the history of results and indicators of the case study company. It was observed that the micro-company under study presents good results, since the entrepreneur works in a field she likes and has digital tools as an ally, enabling greater reach of her pieces.

The book provides in a simple and objective language, pertinent information on a major problem that harms the environment today: the degradation of natural resources, especially soils. The material consists of a bibliographic review of the topics in question, addressing issues such as: soil degradation due to salinity (recurrent in the semi-arid region), classification of soils with salinity problems, alternatives for recovering areas degraded by salinity and the use of hydrogel (superabsorbent polymer) as a conditioner to be used in such circumstances. As innovating involves connecting, interacting, sharing and co-creating or co-producing, one of the strategies to increase success in this process is to consider innovation habitats and another is to work on the management of the knowledge involved, which are the central themes of this book. Introduction. Spontaneous intracerebral hematoma is the form of stroke with the highest mortality rate among cerebrovascular diseases worldwide. There is no consensus on the selection of patients to be treated surgically to reduce postoperative mortality. Objective. To propose a prognostic index of postoperative mortality for patients with primary intracerebral hematoma treated by craniotomy and evacuation of the hematoma. Methodology. An explanatory, analytical, prospective study was performed in 127 patients with intracerebral hematoma. Preoperative factors related to postoperative mortality were identified and a prognostic index was created. We determined whether the prognostic index correctly predicted postoperative mortality. Results. The following were identified as predictors of mortality: age ¿ 60 years, EGC ¿ 10 points, and depth ¿ 1.25 centimeters. The prognostic index created classified patients into low, intermediate, high and very high risk of death. Conclusions. A prognostic index is proposed that has good discriminatory power between living and deceased patients.

"Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats - CRISPR associated proteins (CRISPR-Cas) is a prokaryotic genetic structure whose expression confers on bacteria an adaptive immunity directed against viruses. The curiosity of various scientific teams has led to the understanding and hijacking of this system for genome editing. Whether it's silencing, insertion, modification of nitrogenous bases or modulation of activity, no gene can escape this technology. Today, it is considered the simplest, most precise and least expensive genome-editing tool, guaranteeing its unprecedented popularity in biotechnology. The vectorization of this system further enhances targeting specificity. It has numerous applications in the healthcare field, in both diagnostic and curative applications. However, this technology can present risks and raise ethical questions, requiring regulations to govern its use.

It is estimated that there are approximately 5,000 indigenous peoples in the world today, totalling more than 370 million people. In the historical context of indigenous health, the issue has faced major transitions. In 2007, a specific Coordination was created within the indigenous body FUNAI to deal with indigenous women's issues. Objective: To describe the health care of indigenous women through the literature. When researching a topic that is always addressed, but never really able to treat and care for this people, due to their culture and belief is quite a challenge. The indigenous people will always prefer to treat pathologies acquired through herbs, rituals or other types of beliefs.

Breast cancer in Algeria, and more particularly in the western part of the country, has a particular epidemiological character which contrasts with universal data, due to its incidence in young and even very young patients in a historical context of multiple, multi-organ, transmissible family cancers.Our aim is to report on the overall history of index cases and related cases of breast-ovarian syndrome with BRCA1/BRCA2/PALB2 mutations in 38 young patients at the Sidi Bel Abbés Cancer Centre in Algeria.Our long-term objectives are to categorise the main genetic mutations and to develop a panel of genes specific to the different Algerian ethnic groups.

In current times, depression is advancing in a frightening way and may originate in situations in which some people cannot manage their feelings and emotions in the face of the demands of our society, with stress as a factor that can greatly contribute to its outbreak, or even in fixations that may occur in the stages of child development. In this case, given the difficulty in elaborating unpleasant experiences, these emotions will be repressed, lodging in the unconscious, with returns often expressed in the body, without awareness of somatic responses. The purpose of this book is to bring to all those interested a little of the theory of Body Psychology and present some cases with depressive patients, using some therapeutic techniques of this science, which can greatly help the individual to overcome this disorder and organise himself internally. Spain is one of the countries with the lowest homicide rate in Europe, therefore, the objective of this research is to know the behavior of homicides and criminality by autonomous community. This research will investigate the behavior of two variables, homicide and criminality for a year from 2010 through ANOVA analysis; the Pearson correlation coefficient will be sought to determine the relationship between these two variables if this relationship is strong or weak; all the above using data provided by the Statistical Institute of Spain-INE.

Introduction: NeuroEPO is a variant of recombinant human erythropoietin with low sialic acid content, formulated for intranasal administration. Objective: to evaluate the safety of NeuroEPO, during its use in subjects included in clinical trials developed in Cuba, during the years 2013 -2020. Materials and methods: a retrospective study was conducted, based on the safety data of 356 subjects included in five completed clinical trials (25 healthy volunteers, 34 patients with diagnosis of Spinocerebellar Ataxia type 2, 127 with diagnosis of Parkinson's disease and 170 with clinical diagnosis of mild-moderate Alzheimer's disease). carried out. Events were classified according to severity, intensity, drug attitude, outcome and causality. Results: 137 (38.48 %) patients with AEs were reported, distributed in 63 types with a frequency of 162 events. Of these, 18 (28.6 %) types with a frequency of 44 (27.2 %) were related to the study drug. All were classified non-serious, mild intensity and 41 (93.2 %) with reversible outcome. Conclusions: Treatment with NeuroEPO by intranasal route was safe.

Renal angiomyolipoma is the most common benign tumor of the kidney. However, it can also give rise to serious complications. This entity poses both a diagnostic and a therapeutic problem.The aim of this study is to highlight the epidemiological, clinical, radiological, therapeutic and evolutionary particularities of this tumor.Our book consists of an analytical, retrospective, uni-centric study of 21 cases of patients with one or more renal angiomyolipomas, with a review of the literature.

Considering that the number of crimes is gradually increasing in Brazil, and the application of the penalty, in the Retributive Justice system, does not achieve the real objective of the penalty, there is the following problem for the research: What is the applicability of the mechanisms of Restorative Justice in the socio-educational measures of the adolescent offender in the Caxias da Paz programme, from the year 2014? Thus, the research, as a theme the socio-educational measures and Restorative Justice and as its delimitation the perspective of Restorative Justice in the applicability of socio-educational measures to the adolescent offender in the Caxias da Paz programme from 2014, aiming to present Restorative Justice in contrast to Retributive Justice and the perspectives of both on the applicability of socio-educational measures, from the Municipal Restorative Pacification Programme in Caxias do Sul, called Caxias da Paz. To this end, the inductive approach method and monographic procedure method are adopted. As for the research technique, direct and indirect forms are adopted, through bibliographic research and field research.

This book addresses important issues regarding occupational health in a general context and specifically for health care workers. It is organized in two sections, the first one called Occupational Risks and the second one called Ethical and Legal Context.six chapters are included in the section on occupational risks, which deal with the protection, promotion and prevention of occupational health and the occupational context in nursing professionals in times of COVID 19.In the section on Ethical and Legal Context, four chapters are included, from seven to ten. These chapters cover legal aspects, occupational health and safety organizations and nursing actions in health negligence.
