Technological infrastructures are indispensable pillars for increasing technological intensity, the economic growth of a country or company, as well as its productive and entrepreneurial capacity. One of the most important activities in this technological change is to provide access services to Internet sites and servers. If in so-called developed countries there is a vast and very varied offer, in other countries this offer is still scarce and not very versatile. One of the barriers to increasing this supply capacity is the complexity of developing a supply solution for this type of services, because it involves a wide range of requirements, from physical requirements such as network equipment to software requirements such as server virtualization. A study was carried out based on the current situation of the Angolan market in relation to Internet-based services, the promotion of innovative capabilities and the infrastructures supporting these services. It was verified a remarkable need to invest heavily in technological infrastructures as well as the integration of new technologies in the market and in the companies.

The subject is made topical by the increasing controversy surrounding independently collected news and the attacks on freedom of the press and freedom of opinion. This requires well-founded statements about international events in the world society. Political education has as an educational task the questioning of political processes in connection with own judgement and opinion formation with conclusions. The educational mission includes the substantiation and presentation of the individual dimensions, in this case international politics. The problem areas rather increase, the necessity of a confrontation are an educational challenge for a neglected discipline.

In Côte d'Ivoire, corruption persists strongly in the management of public affairs, despite a number of measures taken by the State to effectively combat this social phenomenon. To understand this paradox, an analysis of current anti-corruption legislation in Côte d'Ivoire was carried out. It revealed ten (10) major sociological weaknesses, which mean that it reinforces the capacity to resist corruption rather than considerably weakening it. With a view to increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption in Côte d'Ivoire, the author has highlighted these ten (10) sociological weaknesses. On the basis of these data, he has drafted a bill to prevent and combat active, passive and protected forms of corruption. This proposed law is followed by a test to operationalize it, in order to measure its effectiveness on the behavior of the actor in relation to his capacity:-to make a bribe ;-to accept a bribe; and-and to remain silent about a corrupt act involving him.

Retired director of medico-social, sociologist and geographer disability practitioner, Serge Alain Bernard, compares the spaces of disability with a dual approach - interdisciplinary and multi-scalar. His work focuses on the status and role of territorial margins and discriminated against in socio-spatial recompositions. The paradigm of spatial justice and injustice largely overlaps with the question of the social-and-spatial margins through which people with disabilities pass. The author shows in what way and how these individuals and these minority groups confronted with social inequalities and spatial injustices, often caught up in processes of marginalization, demonstrate resilience, innovation and creativity which rebound afterwards to the benefit of the whole territory.

Graduates are one of the main sources of information on the quality of academic training that can inform discussions on the reform of the curriculum of degree programmes in biological sciences. Biologists study the principles of life with the aim of enriching and improving academic scientific knowledge and making its theoretical and practical application. In this way, higher education institutions must offer professionals access to high quality education, as the teaching of Biology presents itself as a great challenge where the Biology teacher has to know the content to be taught, the methodological guidelines that must be applied in the construction of knowledge, appropriate themes that provide a critical view of the phenomena that involve Science, continuously deepen knowledge, seeking to acquire new ones, argue common sense ideas about science and the simplistic view of what science is and the work of the scientist. In this sense, there is a huge consensus on the importance of investing in the training of biology teachers, in order to prepare them to exercise good quality teaching, developing teaching in a critical way.

Humanistic education is based on the integral knowledge of man and the world in which he lives; for this reason, the construction of a better future, worthy of living in peace, is part of the essential role it plays in the preparation of a new man, capable of enriching his knowledge and seeking alternatives for his own development as a social being. Cuban Artistic Education also needs its professionals to be better and better human beings. The question is, then, how to develop the humanistic formation of upper secondary level students of Artistic Education from the teaching-learning process of the Spanish-Literature class? The general objective of the research is defined as: To implement a didactic alternative to develop the humanistic formation of upper secondary students from the Spanish-Literature class.

Urban mobility plays an important role in emerging smart cities, addressing issues such as congestion, pollution and especially accident reduction. The use of new technologies such as VLC (Visible Light Communication) could contribute to different aspects of infrastructure-to-vehicle (I2V) communication such as traffic lights and streetlights with the potential to become smart. One of the major challenges related to VLC rests on flickering, interference and flickering. This paper seeks to present a new VLC communication technique to enhance and make smart the current traffic lights and poles by enabling them to transmit information to vehicles using the existing structures. For this, a prototype using microcontrollers and LEDs was developed. Results obtained demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed solution for I2V communication in smart cities.

Design, in its various fields, is an agent that generates continuous needs. It is responsible for causing the desire to buy, and this is done mainly by displaying its products in shop windows. But a display can also be considered a design product because, in order to attract the consumer's attention and arouse (visual) pleasure, it uses strategies that involve elements of perception and emotion. Lights, colours, shapes, three-dimensional elements stage social, economic and cultural values and this provokes a mixture of feelings in the observer. However, the emotional responses that occur in front of a shop window are not known by designers, nor are the elements of the shop window that provoke these affective returns. Are they the elements of perception or the objects on display? Would there be changes in these responses when placing an object of possible emotional displeasure? Questioning a consumer about a product can put them in an uncomfortable situation and their answer would not be true. Therefore, this research aims to understand the emotional responses of window observers, through observational methodology, and thus corroborate design and its various fields.

This work seeks to bring together Aristotelian morality and a theory of the will, with the central point being the indication of approximations and distensions between one and the other. These approximations and distensions foster numerous criticisms of both Aristotelian morality and the tradition of a theory of the will that was established in the Christian West. Such a movement is undertaken by the centrality that both aspects addressed represent for the construction of ethical science in the philosophical tradition erected in the West. To this end, the complex construction of the theory of will in its long period of gestation and birth will be taken in its bases. Then, it will be presented, in its constitutive intricacies, the Aristotelian morality. The closing of this approach between the two strands will be with the presentation of their apparent theoretical distensions, from questions that are shown as latent in both.

Agroecology was born as a consequence of the need of human beings to produce food to maintain themselves as a species, but without destroying or minimizing the impact that agricultural activities have on the environment on a global scale. From the etymological point of view, the word ecology is a compound word: "agroecology" is formed by Greek roots and means "agriculture that takes care of the relationships between living beings and their environment". Its lexical components are: agros (field, land in its natural state) and oikos (house), plus the suffix -logía (science that studies). Agroecology is a scientific discipline, a set of practices and a social movement, according to the definition of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Takotusbo cardiomyopathy (the "broken heart syndrome"), although unknown until recently, represents an important entity in the differential diagnosis of chest pain. Recent studies reveal that it may represent 1-5% of the causes of emergency department presentation. The present book is a monograph presented to the Cardiology Service of the Federal University of Ceará on the importance of the use of echocardiography - a test whose use is expanding - in the diagnosis of this syndrome. Based on a clinical case, it discusses multiple aspects in order to summarise the most important elements in understanding this disease, as well as its recognition by clinical examination and complementary tests.

During the twelfth and early thirteenth centuries there were changes in society that stimulated the emergence of new religious movements which aroused the concern of the Roman Catholic Church. Although many aspects of these movements were resisted, others were "utilised" by the Church. Many of these movements were characterised by the search for their faith through a simple life. At this time, the Franciscan movement arose, initiated by Francis, founded with others who shared the same ideal of religious life, active outside the walls of convents. This movement, later called the Order of Friars Minor, sought to abolish the difference between clerics and laity. With a relatively large heterogeneity, the Order will expand and become one of the main orders of the Roman Church.

Fish farming, like other aquaculture activities, plays a relevant social role in the country directly and indirectly. It involves thousands of people in its production chain, from the production of inputs, through production and distribution, to the arrival of the final consumer. Thinking about contributing to science and socialising the results of research developed in the Western Amazon focused on fish production, as well as strengthening this growing production chain, we organised a work that contemplated aspects of management, health, genetics and nutrition in which the interlocutors can generally implement production on their properties. This first edition has four chapters. The first chapter deals with the boom in fish production in Brazil, especially in Rondônia, and the government actions that have boosted this production. The second chapter addresses the panorama of the breeding of the Tamabaqui fish species (Colossoma macropomum). The third chapter deals with the rearing of tambaquis in intensive systems in net tanks and the fourth, weaves a network of discussions about fishing in the state of Rondônia.

This study covers the theoretical and conceptual analysis of femicide, from a critical perspective with a focus on awareness of this problem, as well as the analysis of integral reparation, from a complete and integral approach to this legal institution, where it will be specified what has been its trajectory and legal evolution, as well as what this right implies in criminal matters. The relationship of these two points addressed in this study is the key to understanding how to act in the face of the violation of fundamental rights in violent situations experienced by women due to their gender reality.

This book demonstrates the tendency of investors to lean towards non-rational behaviour in their financial decisions in the stock market, contrary to what one would expect from traditional economic theory. The assumption of perfect rationality of economic agents is challenged by the evidence observed in the capital market itself. Attitudes observed in specific stock market situations diverge from the procedure that participants are supposed to adopt according to the principles of conventional economic theory. The presence of psychological biases when decisions are made can cause financial losses. Among such behavioural biases, the book highlights the following: herd behaviour, overconfidence, prospect theory, anchoring, status quo and the ownership effect. The work also points out possible ways to avoid the influence of biases on investor behaviour.

This study looks at the diagnostic analysis of soil conservation systems in Haiti in recent years, in twenty communes in the Centre and Artibonite departments. It takes an objective look at the interventions carried out in these areas of the country, and proposes more appropriate developments that should lead to the sustainable management of soil resources. The methodology adopted starts with an analysis of the technical and evaluation reports of a series of soil conservation projects carried out in the areas concerned. It then compares the data from the reports with the various players involved in implementing these projects, by means of focus groups and interviews. The results of the study revealed that, at the end of the projects, farmers were returning to the traditional techniques decried by the projects, such as free-range farming and burning. These techniques are used in plots subject to anti-erosion structures to establish weeded crops in order to meet their short-term food needs.

Specialized parapharmacy professionals are today inundated with requests for reassurance from customers faced with the recent upsurge in serious infections. These customers, veritable "consultants" in need of care, are often at a crossroads in their therapeutic itinerary. Increasingly, they are looking to the Internet for answers to their questions. For them, the connected parapharmacist is a singular interlocutor. At the interface between this clientele and healthcare policies, the Internet and "real life", the specialized, connected parapharmacist could be called upon to play an important role in promoting sexual health, if at least the frameworks and conditions for this action are well thought out and defined. This insect is threatened by parasitic attacks such as varroa mite.Varroasis is a parasitic disease caused by the ectoparasite Varroa jacobsoni. To combat the varroa mite, beekeepers use conventional methods that are harmful to both bees and the environment. This work is part of a major research project to develop the scientific value of medicinal plants.

Over the last few decades, the life-destroying power of HIV/AIDS has severely disrupted human activities. No field has been spared. This is particularly true of the law, which has found itself confronted with the many practical problems posed by this pandemic, to which it is not always easy to find adequate solutions. HIV/AIDS has given rise to many debates and divergent opinions on the relevance of modifying professional secrecy, given the lethal nature of the disease and the absence of therapeutic means. Reflecting on the ethical and legal relationship between doctors and patients, it is easy to understand how a fundamental rule - that of medical confidentiality - is being put to the test in the face of the risk of the spread of HIV/AIDS. And the question is, of course, what attitude should a doctor adopt towards an HIV-positive patient who refuses to take appropriate measures to avoid contaminating his or her partner? In other words, where exactly does one draw the line between respecting confidentiality, a fundamental right, and not helping a person in danger?

The publication by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) of the new standards on consolidated accounts: IFRS 10, IFRS 11, IFRS 12 and IAS 28 revised, has reshaped the consolidation landscape. The aim of this book is to explain the consequences of these new standards for all those involved in financial reporting, and to make accountants aware of the repercussions of applying these standards during an audit. The first part of this work presents the philosophy behind these new standards and the accounting and operational impacts on groups when adopting this package. The second part outlines the problems encountered by chartered accountants in the practical application of these standards during an audit. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined by the presence, for more than 3 months, of markers of renal impairment, which may be morphological, histological or urinary abnormalities, or an abnormal GFR. CKD is classified into stages of increasing severity according to the level of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and proteinuria.CKD has many etiologies, but is dominated by malformative uropathies. The main risk of CKD is progression to end-stage renal disease (ESRD), whatever the underlying etiology. As in the adult population, CKD can remain silent for a long time; however, early detection enables appropriate management of complications as soon as they appear, with the aim of slowing progression to ESRD. The role of the pediatric nephrologist is to confirm CKD, to clarify the etiological diagnosis and any complications, and then to monitor the child according to the stage of CKD. Psychological support for the child, parents and siblings is mandatory, as is social assistance.

The southern shore of the Mediterranean is an area shared unequally by countries with different wealth, demographics, natural resources and cultures. These differences give rise to numerous conflicts for control of the land or the spirits. They are more or less regulated by a few masters of the game. The dynamism of this region is part of a Mediterranean pattern of differentiation and multiple cleavages. A zone of conflicts and threats par excellence, whose major characteristic is confessional, and where the principle of order and stability finds it difficult to impose itself. Most of the conflicts do not have a single cause, but a series of causal factors that make any attempt at classification and simplification futile, and can only be analyzed after taking stock of the issues that underlie and go beyond the simple economic and cultural divides, whose religious component is crucial. The region lies at the heart of the most complex issues in the contemporary political world, a crossroads of contrasts and fragmentation.

The role of tourism in boosting the economy is no longer in question, as it is now a source of multiple financial revenues for the community through entrance fees and guide fees, the purchase of handicrafts, accommodation, catering and visitor transport. However, this tourism development is not always accompanied by a careful approach that places particular emphasis on preserving the tourism product so that it can be passed on to future generations. This book identifies the opportunities, threats and typologies of tourism, and then provides key information on the benefits and prerequisites for sustainable tourism. The present work aimed to evaluate the production of lettuce grown in aquaponic and hydroponic systems with different types of substrates. The experiment was conducted using a randomised block design, with two treatments corresponding to the production systems and three treatments corresponding to the cultivation substrates. The substrates used were: coconut husk fibre (CF), expanded vermiculite (VE), and phenolic foam (EF). The cultivation systems used were: hydroponic system and aquaponic system The experiment was conducted in two crop cycles. The crop used was lettuce cv. Alcione of the curly type. After harvesting the plants, the crop yield, plant height and fresh mass of the aerial part were analysed. In addition, foliar analyses of the plants were performed. Sociological research on unemployment has developed particularly since the 1980s. Exclusion and long-term unemployment are intrinsically linked. Unemployed people are rarely able to free their words, their experiences and their feelings. Beyond job deprivation, adjacent comorbidities are recurrent. For the majority of the unemployed, they don't know where to turn for help. Social support is a palliative to stressful situations, and can help build resilience. The aim of this book is to examine the means used to accelerate the social and professional reintegration of the unemployed, particularly the long-term unemployed. Is there a correlation between a lack of social support and long-term unemployment? Conversely, does qualitative social support facilitate faster reintegration? We'll be looking at how the unemployed feel about the support they receive, both from those close to them and from institutions. We will also identify the repercussions of vulnerability factors in their daily lives, and the impact of social support on their well-being.
