The old medina is one of the oldest districts of Meknes and Morocco. Its morphological and urbanistic character preserves the majority of its historic monuments. This type of structure makes it a space of narrowness and density. This is a practical book based on in-depth fieldwork, surveys and questionnaires designed to identify the various social phenomena in the old medina of Meknes and suggest solutions to various social problems.

This book aims to (i) "x-ray" the socio-economic transformations of the capitalist mode of production throughout the 1990s, seeking to situate them as results of the dialectical process of production and reproduction of capital in its continuous search for new accumulative spaces; and (ii) analyse the contemporary deepening of the structural dependence of Latin American countries - mainly from the sectorally and socially disarticulated Brazilian reality - arising from the movements of national and international capitalist fractions during the 1990s.

This book consists of three articles on the theme of natural and cultural heritage in Tunisia and its relationship with spatial planning. We have chosen to study three territories: two island environments: Jerba and Kerkena and a mountainous region: Kroumirie. The first article is entitled "Tourism and transport in two insular environments in Tunisia: the Kerkena archipelago and the island of Jerba". The second article is entitled "Redevelopment of the old districts of the Kerkena archipelago: the case of the village of Ouled Bou Ali". These two articles are a continuation of my doctoral thesis on the Kerkena archipelago. The third article, entitled "The Kroumirie mountains: a marginalised area with significant potential for alternative ecological and cultural tourism", concerns a mountainous area completely different from Kerkena and Jerba, which I studied when I taught at the Institut Supérieur des Sciences Humaines in Jendouba from 2012 to 2017.

The objective of this text is to identify the labor policies adopted by the Venezuelan State during the 21st century in public companies, mayors' offices and governors' offices, using the social economy models with the Associated Worker Cooperatives to modify the traditional labor relations historically organized under dependent labor.For the study of this labor experiment promoted during the current administration known as Socialism of the XXI Century, we have chosen the most important sector in the national economy as the oil sector, analyzing the labor impact of the Associated Worker Cooperatives (CTA), contracted by PDVSA and by national and foreign private companies providing services, involved in the system of labor relations of the contractor sector, in the Eastern Coast of Lake Zulia State in the period 2003-2017.

"Africa has been wrong about E-commerce for more than 10 years" is an analysis document of the modern e-commerce sector since its advent on the African continent. For more than 10 years, Africa has decided to join the nations that have bet on electronic commerce, unfortunately, with a misguided methodology. These 10 years that we dissect in this manual have been marked by twists and turns, after years of continuous growth and hope. These 10 years have demonstrated that Africa has a card to play if it decides to take its own destiny into its own hands. These 10 years have also made it possible to identify our many shortcomings. Africa has been wrong about E-commerce for more than 10 years, is a message to all socio-economic components, to investors, to the market, to producers, to traders, to legislators, to leaders, to public opinion and to youth.

The book presents works that deal with the issue of scientific dissemination carried out by universities, especially higher education institutions in Brazil, which are, in this country, the largest producers of scientific research. The question of the need to bring science and society closer together is seen from two angles: the benefits for society and, above all, the benefits for institutions, addressing concepts such as knowledge-power, always bearing in mind that it is the role of the media to bring this closer together using the appropriate discourse. The book includes three articles and analyses of texts published by an important Brazilian university.

Post-traumatic oesotracheal fistulas are communications between the trachea and oesophagus. Most often secondary to trauma/crush injury to a soft thorax in young patients. The main signs are coughing on swallowing, false routes, altered general condition with recurrent bronchopneumonia due to bronchoaspiration or false route. Treatment depends on fistula diameter and location. In most cases, surgery remains the ideal treatment for this disease.

The critical reflective practice in question focuses on studies related to projects and programmes of continuous training of English teachers, supported by studies published in national journals of the Postgraduate Programme in Applied Linguistics of the Pontifical University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and the Postgraduate Programme in Letters and Linguistics of the Faculty of Letters of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), between 1990 and 2011.

Without even suspecting it, the author began to write this work in November 2020, when he published a chronicle made to the winner of the National Literature Prize of Cuba, Eduardo Heras Leon, a strong chess player, and concluded it on April 15, 2021 with the icon of universal chess Robert Fischer, not because he has practiced journalism, but because "he interviewed me" when we talked in 1966 in Havana. Can color change the consumer's buying process? Does it attract the target's attention? Does it really trigger the buying process? Does it help achieve sales objectives? Can it be considered a sales tool? In order to buy a product or adhere to a concept, the individual has to go through a more or less complex process. For a purchase to take place, the individual must be positively influenced by internal and external factors. The individual may be driven to buy by a particular motivation, a specific need, or by belonging to a particular group. But they may buy simply because they like the color of the product or brand. But for color to be visible, a medium is needed: hence the choice of the poster. Research shows that color attracts consumers' attention, influences their behavior, and helps trigger the act of purchase. It also arouses emotions. On the poster, color helps to prioritize information, attract potential customers and make it easier for them to remember the message...

Low-income groups in Brazil were not considered a market for products and services (ROCHA, SILVA, 2009). This view has changed since the 1980s, when studies began to emerge that addressed issues other than just the material scarcity of these families (BARROS, ROCHA, 2007). Very little is still known about these consumers, who represent more than half of the Brazilian population, with about 100 million people (CHAUVEL, MATTOS, 2008). Recent research involving their consumption habits can be observed, mainly due to the increase in purchasing power, however, little has been analysed about the particularities of this group in relation to the concept of luxury. Although this concept has been widely explored in the literature (SOUZA et al., 2013), its focus has always been oriented towards the upper layers of society (D'ANGELO, 2004). The attempt to understand the meaning of luxury for the low-income consumer is still a little discussed subject, which is the main motivation for choosing this study, which is based on the hermeneutic approach to understand this meaning.

Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME) is an idiopathic generalized epilepsy affecting older children and adults, with a peak in frequency at puberty. It begins between the ages of 12 and 18, and is rare after the age of 30. The child will have one or more myoclonic jerks that predominate after awakening, associated or not with CGTCs and/or absences. EMJ is an electro-clinical genetic epilepsy. Our aim is to describe the electroclinical, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects of our patients. This is a prospective study from May 2014 to July 2015 at the epileptology consultation of the clinical neurophysiology department. Nineteen cases (11 M +9 F with a sex ratio of 1.22), mean age of onset 16.15 years, extremes from 9 to 30. The age group most affected was 14 to 19 years, with a frequency of 36.85%. History of familial epilepsy (73.68%), consanguinity (5.26%); myoclonic jerks associated with CGTC (64%) absences (10%); pathological EEG in all patients. Point-waves were the most frequent (57.89%), i.e. 11 cases. PHB was the most commonly used treatment, effective in 63.15% (12 cases).

This work, a final year thesis, is a reflection on containerization in the landlocked countries of West Africa in general and Burkina Faso in particular. The study analyzes the challenges of containerization, logistics capacities and container handling conditions. It shows that, like other countries in the world, the landlocked countries of West Africa have entered the containerization era, and the outlook for containerized flows in the region is optimistic. However, containerization rates remain low due to a number of constraints. Nevertheless, players are resolutely focused on consolidating containerization with innovations to optimize the system. The study makes recommendations aimed at improving the containerization system and enabling landlocked countries to make their presence felt. This requires the cooperation and coordination of all players, public and private, national and international. This comprehensive work is aimed at students, researchers and professionals interested in international transport and logistics.

In Côte d'Ivoire, as in many other African countries, the passions that electoral periods arouse sometimes lead political players to use their rhetoric to create the conditions for multifaceted crises. This is because, in our discourse, there are often real semantic gaps between what is said and what is not said, or what should have been said. He presents the Central African Republic as a geostrategic country, due to its position in Central Africa. He then points out that the country's geographical location at the heart of the African continent should, in principle, provide it with opportunities to flourish. Unfortunately, the various conflicts in other neighboring countries have had a negative impact on this country, which nonetheless has assets of all kinds in terms of its inexploitable natural resources. The porous nature of its borders makes it impossible for the country to lead a decent life on its own territory. The natural resources of this country, the Central African Republic, are becoming a source of covetousness on the part of its neighbors, who from time to time take advantage of the weakness of the State to sow disorder on the national territory, and to make the most of the country's untapped wealth. The present work is placed under the sign of the beginning of the evils that the country has known since the colonial period, passing by the famous phase of independence with its corollary, the problem of the succession at the head of the State and the dictatorial period.

Vermiculture consists of the intensive cultivation of the red earthworm (Eisenia foetida) which, by consuming organic waste, transforms it into humus, which is the highest state of decomposition of organic matter, making it an excellent fertiliser for agricultural crops. In response and in order to increase the resilience of agroecosystems to soil unproductivity, lombrihumus is used as an efficient, environmentally sustainable and low investment cost alternative that improves the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, improving its fertility and increasing the nutrient content for the plant, allowing the recovery of soils eroded by the indiscriminate use of chemical fertilisers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of three diets based on organic residues, bovine manure and plantain rachis for the production of Eisenia foetida and to determine the reproductive behaviour, number of oothecae, production of lombrihumus and leachate and their nutrient concentration levels in the different treatments.

This book aims to analyse the challenges of implementing Community Development Banks (CDBs) as public policy instruments. Community Development Banks are dedicated to democratising banking access to populations living in poverty or extreme poverty and include in their methodology the empowerment and politicisation of the population. They are managed by the community itself and their main mechanism of action, which differentiates them from traditional banking and credit institutions, is the issuance and circulation of their own local currency, the social currency.

The occurrence of natural hazards presents humanity with ever-greater challenges. According to accurate statistics, on average over 300,000 people are affected by hazards every year, and almost 78,000 lose their lives in the process. At the forefront of these risks are mass movements, erosion and flooding. Flooding is the main threat to Cameroon's coastal towns, such as Limbe, Idenau, Kribi, Tiko and Douala... The disastrous nature of these events and their frequency explain the immensity of the damage caused. The main aim of this project is to assess and spatialize the risk of flooding in the city of Douala, using remote sensing and GIS tools. It also aims to assess the resources available to and mobilized by public authorities and the local population to deal with this risk. The study is based on a diachronic analysis of land use in and around the city of Douala, between 1975 and 2015. The delimitation of areas vulnerable to flood risk, based on a hydrogeomorphological approach and field survey data.

The question of entrepreneurship in Algeria is addressed, focusing on the issues, challenges and opportunities involved in setting up a business. The book also provides a critical analysis of the support policies of the Algerian public authorities, while putting forward a number of recommendations for stimulating the entrepreneurial spirit in Algeria.

This book examines the relationship between the family's cultural environment and school performance in the DRC context of Goma. The subject was chosen in the light of a number of facts showing that the school system before which all schoolchildren are equal according to the Constitution is a system of sorting and selection. The questionnaire survey, empirical purposive sampling and statistical analysis revealed that the majority of learners surveyed who excel at elementary school come from households with favourable educational material conditions. All other things being equal, the percentages obtained at elementary school evolve in the same direction as household material conditions. By maximizing family material conditions, educators can improve schoolchildren's performance. This study is of both practical and theoretical interest: it brings together material of interest to the sociology of schooling, to enrich a database for the planning and democratization of education in the DRC.

It's undeniable that difficulties in listening and understanding between healthcare professionals and patients are even more exacerbated today than in the past. Patients speak for an average of 23 seconds during a consultation, before being interrupted by the practitioner. Active listening, although recognized by all as an inseparable element of the act of care, cannot be practiced in good conditions. Doctors call on healthcare partners (dieticians, osteopaths, etc.) to help them with specific problems. Patient associations and public authorities are now turning to professional coaching to help them manage their patients. The benefits obtained by professional coaches, in their action to support healthcare professionals, are already recognized and plebiscited¿. There is a definite advantage, given the training and professional skills of certified coaches, in having them accompany patients during their illness, whether somatic or psychological.

For several years now, the competency-based approach has been in force in Cameroon. This approach advocates pragmatic learning. To achieve this, geography teachers need to get away from the usual routine of classroom lessons and get out into the field. The field enables the teacher to make learning interactive and the pupils to learn by discovering. Field trips are the ideal way to get students out in the field. This work provides a framework for organising excursions in classes in the observation sub-cycle ( 6th and 5th grades). It presents the constraints of a field trip and the value of field trips as a teaching-learning technique.

The Sahel is suffering from the effects of climate change. Market gardening, which is mainly practised by women in the Sahel, is a source of income to supplement household needs. Tomatoes are a short-cycle crop with high yields and a high commercial and vitamin value, but they are nutrient-demanding and therefore require adequate fertilisation, which is unfortunately not well controlled. The study was conducted to assess the effect of fertiliser doses from IER/Mali and CDH/Senegal, under irrigation, during the 2014-2015/2015-2016 seasons. R software version 2.14 was used for data analysis. Hypothesis testing for normality and homoscedasticity of variances (Shapiro-Wilk test, Shapiro Francia test and Bartlett test); post hoc analyses (Kuskal-Wallis test and Wilcoxon Mann Whitney pairwise test) and Student's t test on data from the two campaigns, were performed. Improving tomato yields in the Sahel requires the use of chemical fertilisers, hence the need to continue research into identifying efficient doses to promote this crop.

The aim of this study is to lay bare the history of Nigerian literature in French. It aims to trace its origins, some thoughts on it, its evolution, leading to its future. The research employs two critical methods: descriptive and historical. Ola Balogun was the first French-speaking Nigerian writer, but his theatrical work Shango suivi du roi éléphant, published in 1968, was not considered the first work of French-speaking Nigerian literature. This is because, through the translation, L'ivrogne dans la brousse, the French version of The Palm-wine Drinkard, by Amos Tutuola, who ranks among English-speaking Nigerian writers, was published in 1953. We also discover that, contrary to Mokwenye's pessimistic thinking following his 1999 research, Nigerian literature in French, judging by its thin corpus and limited audience, has no future in the country, Onyemelukwe guided by the findings of his 2003 study conveys an optimistic thought: that it has a fruitful future, hence its growth to date.

The aim of this book is to reflect on the concept of stabilisation in the psychosis clinic from the perspective of psychoanalysis. This concept differs radically from the notion of stabilisation in common sense, which conveys a certain idea of harmony, of balance. A person, an environment, a stable situation is one where there is little noise, little agitation, little movement. Daily clinical experience shows us that this is not at all a characteristic of psychotic subjects, quite the contrary. The stabilisation proposal developed here seeks to discuss another idea. That of the subject's search to invent a possible relationship with the Other and with the body, from within this affirmative, explosive, open experience, which is the psychotic experience. A relationship that allows the psychotic subject to be less invaded by the Other and more inserted into the social bond. This insertion will never occur by trying to introduce the psychotic into the phallic norm, to summon him to be within social norms and cultural standards. But in the bet that, from within the disruptive power of the psychotic experience, it is possible for these subjects not to live in the universe of social exclusion but within the social bond.

Cancer is a general term for any disease in which certain cells in the human body divide in an uncontrolled manner (abnormal cell proliferation). The resulting new cells may form a malignant tumor (a neoplasm) or spread throughout the body. These cells all derive from the same clone, a cancer-initiating cell that has acquired certain characteristics enabling it to divide indefinitely. The aim of this study is to contribute to the improvement of care for children with cancer in the pediatric oncology unit of the University Clinics of Lubumbashi.We conducted a retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study in the Pediatric Oncology Unit at the University Clinics of Lubumbashi during the period from January 2012 to January 2022. We included all children treated with cancer drugs in the Pediatric Oncology Unit who had a platelet count of less than 100 G/L. Most patients had developed thrombocytopenia during the 3rd cycle of chemotherapy, with a frequency of 94.87%.
