In the proposal of Hobbes' Political Philosophy we note that human nature is not only bad, but endowed with passions and needs and man is born naturally free and entitled to all possible goods. The problem occurs in the dispute with other men, equally free and also in the dispute for the same goods, behold barbarism and war. Here the inhabitants themselves note that there is a need for agreement - concord - even if discordant, for survival. Fear is the fundamental element that leads men to establish the agreement with other men in order to prevent barbarity, tragedy and scourge from being the unending rule. Here we have that the part of freedom is delegated to the sovereign and force is delegated to him for the Salus Populi and the use of the sword. The sovereign that originates from the collective of individuals is the result of these, but has not made a pact with them. It is a secondary, artificial, personified entity that will be the actor in the international -or inter-national- arena with other personified states. Here we have the return to the state of nature in its original form, since all are equal and have the right to everything and the line that prevents aggression and direct disputes between States is very thin.

Quantitative Analytical Chemistry has as its objective the application and development of methods for determining the composition of solutions, materials and substances of the most varied natures, expressed in terms of numerical values and their respective units of measurement. Currently, it is applied mainly in quality control in industrial processes. Therefore, it is necessary, a good learning of this subject in the chemical area courses. It was with these aspects in mind that this material was developed, which can be applied in everyday laboratory classes, serving as a support for student learning, records of materials and procedures used, logbook, preparation (or even replacement) of reports. Furthermore, the purpose of this material is to assist teachers and students in the teaching-learning process of this important area of chemistry.

The focus was on HIV-related knowledge, attitudes and practices among health workers in the city of Gao. Objectives: The aim was to assess knowledge of HIV among health workers in the city of Gao, to describe the practices of health workers in the management of HIV, and to assess the HIV training needs of health workers in the city of Gao. Methodology: We conducted a prospective cross-sectional study of staff in the city of Gao. Results: We surveyed 104 health workers. The majority of the staff surveyed were women (54.8%) with a sex ratio (F/H) = 1.21. The majority were between 30 and 39 years of age. In our series, 62.1% of staff surveyed knew about ARV treatment. Biological monitoring was cited as a tool for measuring CD4 counts by 45.2%. Our study led us to conclude that it would be advisable to provide ongoing training to improve knowledge and reduce HIV-related misconduct among health workers in the town of Gao.

Two of the world's eight known baobab species are found in the Comoros Archipelago. No in-depth study of the ecological characterization of the dry vegetation and the geographical distribution of these baobabs has yet been carried out. Some authors hypothesize that the dry plant formations of the Comoros Archipelago possess characteristic species and affinities with the flora of Madagascar and Africa, and that the baobabs of the Comoros were introduced by man; others favour a natural origin of the baobabs by sea. In order to provide answers to these questions, an identification and ecological characterization of the plant formations of Grande Comore, Mohéli and Anjouan was carried out, as well as an inventory of the baobabs in the archipelago. The floristic composition is similar to that of the dry forests and thickets of Madagascar and Africa, and the distribution of baobabs appears to be strongly related to distance from the sea, which argues in favor of a hydrochoral marine dispersion. These results should encourage better management and conservation of dry flora and vegetation.

This research work is carried out because of the need to describe a process of exploration and intervention to improve the teaching performance in the Santa Rosa Educational Unit. The first stage is a descriptive research on the quality of responsive teaching of the teachers of the institution towards their students in the daily practice of teaching-learning. The importance of this research lies in the fact that teaching is a practice of continuous changes and updates in today's education, then based on the analysis of the implications and limits of the postulates of responsive teaching in the professional teaching performance of the Santa Rosa Educational Unit, the panorama shows problems with the provision of daily life, diversity, technological limitations of the institution and student overpopulation. The methodology uses a descriptive qualitative approach, in which an intervention plan is used as part of the Responsive Teaching Model approach with the purpose of understanding the implications and limits of the postulates of responsible teaching in the professional teaching performance.

The implementation of public policies for professional qualification in Brazil since 1990 aimed at training professionals from different areas, including actions directed to the rural area. However, despite this direction, its implementation has proven to be insufficient, and most actions are directed to the urban area. As the rural environment tries to identify potential business opportunities and becomes more entrepreneurial, it contributes to the development of the economy and the place, to the reduction of the migratory flow, generation of new products, services and mainly: the generation of work and income. However, the majority of rural workers do not have the necessary qualification to meet the new market trends. The development of Public Policies of Rural Professional Qualification allows the worker to be prepared to meet the new productive demands. This book is the result of the research developed with the student Emanuele Cristina Martins de Brito, scholarship student of Scientific Initiation UFRRJ/CNPq, today a Bachelor in Administration.

The city of Luanda had an uncontrolled growth of population and construction over time. The civil war that lasted for 27 years brought with it the need for security for the population, which further influenced the concentration of the population in Luanda. The influence of the planning and land management system on the organisation of the city of Luanda will be analysed, by means of a bibliographical review based fundamentally on documentary research and fieldwork, in order to understand the workings of the planning system and identify the factors that underpinned the evolution of Luanda's urban area.

With the development of social networks and communication techniques, the whole world is discovering with astonishment the extent of the damage caused by ritual crimes, the victims of which are often children, women, albinos and people whose vulnerability gives free rein to the evil, sadistic imagination. Rituals linked to magic and witchcraft, acts of cannibalism, organ harvesting and trafficking in human blood and organs, punctuate the daily life of some countries in the world, particularly in Africa. Social deprivation, the voracious pursuit of fame and power, and the frantic race for wealth mean that the continent's populations indulge in macabre practices. Criminal research into ritual crimes cannot thrive unless the players involved are grounded in ethnology or knowledge of the 'ethnic' behaviour of criminals. Ethno-criminology is the ideal tool for this purpose, and by examining the criminal habits of different countries around the world, we can draw up a catalogue of methods that will enable us to gain a better understanding of these crimes, which combine magical and witchcraft practices...

This book deals with the issue that involves the processes of inclusion in the educational environment and society of children with autism, as well as presents a proposal to the practice of psychopedagogical intervention. The objective of this work is to understand the role of Psychopedagogy, in its performance in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, as well as professionals specialized in Health and Education, to provide the development of skills in students with specific needs, in this case, Autism, the focus of the research. The work that approaches the inclusion theme, delimiting for the question of the children with autism and applied resources for the attendance, as for example the use of the assistive technology, in order to propose the minimization of the picture of the disorder making possible the individual its educational and social integration. The methodology in this research is qualitative, based on data collection through bibliographic research, i.e., documentary analysis, or through printed and electronic media.

One of the most complex interpersonal relationships is that of a couple, in which sociological, personality and interactive factors converge to achieve stability, solidity and satisfaction, being a predictor of well-being by sharing emotional support and interests; in this way, the couple faces the circumstances of life. Such factors can become subtly and imperceptibly violent, becoming an everyday style of interaction, which wears down the relationship and puts the individuals in it at risk. Therefore, a brief but effective therapeutic intervention is required to train couples to relate to each other in a more functional, safe and satisfying way.

Executive Functions are among the most complex aspects of cognition and involve different components, and such complexity is also reflected in conceptual definitions, since there is still no consensus about their definition. Currently, however, several authors agree that Executive Functions are an integrated system comprising distinct domains such as flexibility, updating, inhibition, alternation, and planning. The complexity of the construct reflects directly on the assessment of executive functions and the construction of appropriate tasks, since they do not measure only one skill. Additionally, several studies emphasize that executive functions develop throughout the child's growth, and the relationship with academic performance is well established in the literature. This research is part of a larger project whose main objective is to develop and propose a battery that evaluates distinct domains of executive functions, so that it can be used with several participants of different age groups, from infancy to adulthood, and also by different intellectual and socioeconomic levels.

Pseudarthrosis remains a formidable complication of long-bone fractures, whatever their initial treatment. This complication is often poorly resolved by conventional treatments, with disappointing results. Through a retrospective study of 20 cases of tibial pseudarthrosis treated and followed up at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Habib Bourguiba University Hospital in Sfax (Tunisia), over a period of 06 years (2012 - 2017), we present an original technique based on the use of a monoplane external fixator in compression without cortico-spongy contribution while avoiding the opening of the focus as much as possible, and identifying the advantages and limitations of this operative technique. Pseudarthrosis was aseptic in 12 patients, and septic in 08. The rate of consolidation was 100% with an average delay of 3.5 months. Clinical and radiological results were assessed with a mean follow-up of 25.7 months. We assessed the therapeutic outcome according to the ASAMI classification, which has the merit of associating functional and anatomical results. Excellent and good results were obtained in 100% of cases.

This book is aimed at third-year Civil Engineering students and second-year Mechanical Engineering students. This basic book presents the classic fundamental concepts of structural steelwork in a clear and simple manner, with several application exercises. It is divided into two main parts: lectures and exercises. The course part consists of six chapters. In the first chapter we presented the characteristics of a steel material. The second chapter was devoted to the presentation of steel products. The calculation of tension and simple compression of steel elements were presented in chapters 3 and 4. Finally, Chapters 5 and 6 were devoted to simple and compound bending calculations. In the second part, various exercises were proposed.

This book examines the complex relationship between democracy and ethnicity. It focuses on the question of whether democracy is capable of managing the differences it fosters or produces. By exploring the relationship between democracy and ethnicity, he shows the dangers that the latter poses for the former, but also the possibility of a link between the two poles of the relationship. By focusing on Benin, he addresses all African democracies, especially as they face the same socio-political difficulties to varying degrees. The book presents a way of living democracy when political space does not merge with social space.

The aim of this book is to demonstrate that university exchange students are the driving force behind strong tourism activities, and form a market segment in their own right alongside young travelers. As well as making travel a priority throughout their mobility, they encourage and attract their friends and families to come and visit them. We will also show that if universities were to take into account the decision-making factors of students, they could attract a greater number of them, and thus improve the tourism activity of the city and the country. These international students represent a market that is often overlooked. Quantitative and qualitative studies have been carried out to address possible areas of improvement for tour operators, universities and schools.

This work is the product of a work of course completion of Environmental Engineering, performed under the guidance of Professor Luciane Calabria, developed at the University Center of Serra Gaúcha in the year 2018. This work aimed to evaluate the performance of the composting process using organic waste from CEASA- Serra, adding biocatalyst of the matter alteration process, through the monitoring of physical-chemical parameters, being them: thermotolerant coliform count, total coliform count, total organic carbon, total nitrogen, pH, C/N ratio, humidity and temperature. The experiment was carried out in 22 days period between the month of September and October 2018. The pH of the final compost was 8, value reached due to the not complete degradation of the straw (nitrogen rich material), the temperature presented values between 23 and 40ºC. The humidity of the final compost was 55%. The composting technique as a final destination of organic waste proved to be a viable alternative for the reuse of organic matter, producing a good quality compost that can be used in various branches of agriculture.

This book aims to understand and describe how the pedagogical practices occur in the 1st semester of the Information Systems Course at the Higher Education Institution (HEI), specifically in the discipline of Algorithms and Programming. To this end, documents, concepts, methods and, mainly, observations regarding the dynamics of the classroom in the academic field were analysed. In this way, the use of technology, in the pedagogical context, becomes present and necessary, since, in antiquity, until the beginning of the 19th century, a traditionalist type of learning predominated in pedagogical practice. In this investigation, an ethnographic methodology was used, in order to understand how the teachers of the Information Systems Course break the paradigms of traditional teaching and organize the educational environment in order to promote innovative pedagogical practices with the students, contributing to their autonomous learning.

With this paper we intend to demonstrate the applicability of praxeology in forensic auditing. By praxeology we mean the science of decision making, so that forensic praxeology is a discipline of great importance for decision making in the field of economic crime sciences, of which forensic auditing, the object of study of this doctoral thesis, is a part. Previous research has left many problems to be solved and the information gathered is still insufficient. We know that there is no unified concept of forensic auditing, so a definition of forensic auditing will be proposed based on a transdisciplinary methodological approach. In this sense we will understand forensic auditing as a forensic praxeology whose object of study is economic crime, applying a transdisciplinary methodological approach, in order to support the decisions taken by a judge in the investigation of fraud and crimes committed by perpetrators of economic and financial crimes.to address the problems outlined, the work has been divided into three chapters, according to the established research protocol UNADE.

Paul Ricoeur rehabilitated the Aristotelian concept of "phronesis", translating it into practical wisdom, and dialectically conjugated it with the central concepts of the philosophy of Kant and Hegel. Practical wisdom corresponds to the later branch of ethics, participating in the dynamics of praxis, itself a tributary of an earlier ethics, anchored in life and desire. More than a system, a great hermeneutic bridge is built between a moral of teleological character and another, of deontological matrix. Practical wisdom participates in the tragic of human action, where it is often necessary to choose the lesser evil, and realizes the potential presupposed in the anthropological category of capable man. Rooted in the sense of justice and equity, as in Aristotle, practical wisdom is not understood as a case-by-case judgment, but takes into account experience, combining a teleological and deontological perspective.

The aim of this study is to analyze the determining factors of the mismatch between training and employment at the level of young people in Côte d'Ivoire. The data used come from the ENSESI2016 and ENE2019 surveys. Three (3) concepts were specifically addressed: insertion, mismatch and time-related underemployment. We measured mismatch using two methods: a subjective method and a statistical method.In order to analyze the determining factors of the inadequacy situation of young people, a binary logit model was estimated by inputting marital status, gender, place of residence, type of employment and branch of activity to see the effect exerted by these variables on the inadequacy situation of young people in Côte d'Ivoire.

The impetus of the onto-epistemological constructions that emerge from the Territorial Polytechnic Universities offers possible readings to enhance the reform of thinking in the actors of advanced studies. A transformation that favors affective proxemia and energizes the sensitive fiber of the human. This implies visualizing the advanced studies imbricated with the socio-productive spaces, which would make possible the rupture with the disciplinary logic, constituted in the postgraduate studies. Hence, we enter into the fabric of perspectives such as transdisciplinarity and complexity as epistemological referents. From these perspectives, an awakening of consciousness in the actors of advanced studies would be promoted to take the first steps towards transdisciplinary research, contributing to the transversalization of university knowledge with popular and daily knowledge, as well as to the assumption of a pedagogical practice from the social-dialectic approach. In synthesis, the emergence of this interweaving is postulated as a possible route of transit towards an emancipating thought as an epistemic framework, inclusive of the lived.

The subject of our research is entitled "The problem of communication practices within public companies in Beni". As all research always starts with an observation, our starting point for this study was the observation that the communication department is non-existent and poorly perceived in public organisations in Beni. As internal communication is one of the variations of corporate communication, it is also a component of an overall system for organising information flows and exchanges. This means that it is an element of the social system, insofar as it plays a very important role that contributes to the existence of the latter. Our findings are sufficient proof that communication is not well directed in public companies, because it is less effective and unprofessional according to the target we have set ourselves.

This book entitled "Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in patients taking psychotropic drugs" provides a simple, analytical and concise description of cardiac events and, in some cases, sudden death resulting from the use of psychotropic and somatic drugs. The authors focus on the risk factors represented by age, sex, geographical region, metabolic syndrome, obesity, diabetes, smoking, etc. They describe the interactions between cardiovascular mortality and psychiatric disorders, while also discussing the main causes of excess cardiac mortality (myocardial ischaemia, heart failure, dilated cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, etc.). This book is aimed at all psychiatrists who "handle" potentially cardiotoxic drugs and general practitioners who prescribe or monitor the prescriptions of psychiatric specialists. Human resources management in public-sector companies remains a headache, because of the way it is recruited, trained, remunerated, assessed, promoted and motivated. It's worth noting that some countries and structures that have followed the procedures of key personnel management practices have reaped many benefits; we hope the same will be true for the managers of this hospital in meeting their expectations.We hope that our research has not only contributed to a better understanding of the problems and impacts of poorly applied human resources management practices on hospital performance, but that it has also had the effect of stimulating research aimed at developing a model for effective human resources management in the health sector in the DRC.

The object of study of this work is restricted to the resocialization of former inmates made possible by religiosity. It is impossible to talk about ex-convicts without tracing their trajectory from their life in a house of detention to their return to freedom in a society marked by discrimination and repugnance triggered when in contact with other people. In view of the difficulty of social confrontation of the ex-convict, this research investigated the possibility of religious assistance inside and outside prisons with a view to the resocialization of this class. The aim was to point out indispensable adjustments for religious assistance to be a viable and effective practice in the prison complexes of the country and in the life of the ex-convict. Besides demonstrating the reality of these units, it was elucidated in which circumstances the religious agents assist the prisoners, the difficulties faced in this effort, despite this practice being supported by federal legislation.

The present academic work is quantitative in nature, from the conception of the idea to the development of the report of the findings, it is supported by a longitudinal cohort design, due to the changes observed in the designated groups during the research work; this in order to respond to the hypothesis that the inverted classroom improves the teaching-learning process of mathematics in students in upper elementary school. The results of the satisfaction survey show incidence in the student's perception, which confirms that the use of the inverted classroom improves the learning process.

The book approaches the image of women in Western Judeo-Christian culture, using as a counterpoint the figures of Eve, the sinner, and Mary, the redeemer. Starting from antiquity and the medieval times, it analyzes several feminine figures present in literature and society to show the whole process of construction of the image of women throughout history and, how these representations reached Colonial Brazil. In this way, the book becomes an important tool for the history of women in colonial letters.

A characterization and analysis of the policy of care provided by the Basic Health Units (BHU) to foreign patients living or not in the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu-PR between 2010 and 2016 was conducted to understand the perception of health professionals who performed this service to the population studied. Quanti-qualitative research with systematic data collection on the foreign population that attended the Basic Health Units (BHU) of Foz do Iguaçu-PR between 2010 and 2016. Six health units were chosen because they are located in different Sanitary Districts of the city, and still have similar characteristics, as they are considered gateways for SUS users.

Teacher professionalization is essentially a process, updating, innovation, specialization and contextualization. It aims at improving professional performance and transforming educational practice. The starting point for the development of professionalization is to identify the characteristics that a teacher should have according to the context of professional performance, always linked to the identification of the multiple and complex professional problems that are generated in the practical activity of the teacher. This book offers a theoretical analysis and an empirical evaluation of this process in the context of the Pre-university Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences in Cuba. It is the result of a project associated to the Sectorial Program "Cuban Educational System. Perspectives of development" of the Ministry of Education.
