The "MODEL OF DIDACTIC QUADRANTS (MCD)" is an orientation guide for undergraduate and graduate students who need to develop their thesis in order to graduate. There are many students who find themselves in this situation, who in spite of having taken research methodology courses or thesis seminars, do not know what to do or how to do their thesis. Because of this situation, the MCD is proposed as a guide to organize the research process in the light of the conditions required by the regulations of Higher Education Institutions. Doing a thesis in a fast, fun and effective way with little experience is possible with the use of this didactic quadrant model created under the Design Thinking methodology. Doing a thesis researching - playing - learning without stress in 4 months, if it is possible you should only be guided by the DCM. It is not necessary for a university thesis student to be an expert methodologist to do a degree thesis in the time required by the University. PLAY....

Quality of life from another perspective, oriented with a clinical dental approach, related to one of the most prevalent diseases in Latin America, dental caries, which can affect not only the health of the child, but also the family environment, causing physical, psychological and economic discomfort, among others. The proposed scientific work methodology can be applied to a child population considering the opinion of their parents or guardians.

Study on a growing problem in preterm infants: mental health problems. The Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) is proposed for completion by parents of former preterm infants. The incidence of the problem is analyzed, comparing with two control populations: a national and a local sample. Finally, we evaluate its use as a screening tool for ADHD.

Higher Education has an important role in overcoming the scientific and technological gaps with more developed countries; national, regional and institutional policies should be aimed at achieving a transformation of the relationship models between academic research groups and users of knowledge; globalisation and the emergence of societies deserve attention from specialists in various disciplines, which leads us to analyse its impact on current and future higher education, due to the dynamics of the events of globalisation, which also allow us to value education. This paper discusses the role of higher education in the face of the social challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean, the main aspects of which are the new challenges facing higher education in Latin America, and the unresolved problems of modernity that lead us to address other approaches, due to the dynamics of the events of globalisation.

Physical education and school sports represent activities of great importance in the educational system of our country's children and students.The organization of the didactic approach to physical education and sports in pre-university education aims to contribute to the structural formation of the first two cycles of education, thus contributing to the organized action aimed at the somatotrophic process, of that which aims to increase the capacity for effort, as well as the correct and harmonious psychosomatic development of the pupils' bodies, continually broadening and deepening the system of skills, knowledge, abilities and motor skills, perfecting their development indices.The theme of this volume is to find the most appropriate methods and means of selection, physical, technical-tactical and psychological preparation, in order to participate and achieve good and excellent results in small-group competitions.

It is the research process of more than 40 years dedicated to professional and amateur soccer in three continents, America, Europe and Africa. This model merges the capabilities, qualities and sport. It will be explained theoretically what is done in practice. We will know that the capabilities are not four are ten, is a genetic process that when worked improve the athlete, the qualities are not a genetic process are developed by constant work and to work are 6 and improve the process of training and development, the sport has its two basic technical and tactical actions that are due to constant work.Modern sports training is based on these three pillars: capabilities, qualities and sport.

This book reflects on patient death and its repercussions for the nursing team and its implications for the field of care. The first chapter provides an introduction to the authors' implications for the subject, paralleling the changes in the social construction of death and the care offered by professionals in hospitals. In the second chapter, we look at how feelings of bereavement influence the behaviour of the patient and the professionals involved, their characteristics and phases, including interaction with the family, the training process and the need to create a professional support network. The third chapter looks at the feelings developed by nursing professionals when a patient dies and how these issues should be reflected on. The fourth chapter raises some attitudinal actions that can support the team in dealing with the feelings experienced. In the fifth chapter, we briefly compare the references and ideas presented. We hope that this book will reach health professionals, nursing academics, nurses, scholars and other readers who are interested in the subject.

These are reflections on the practice of music and literature, in particular what slam, rap and poetry can bring to human societies. Here, we present a theoretical analysis of slam and rap and their poetic, cultural and social implications. An analysis highlighting the analogy between rap, slam and poetry in the light of the philosophy of ordinary language in artistic creations. Musical art appears to be an exercise in style that is interwoven with poetry. Rap and slam, at their most expressive, are seen as the requisitioning of a language determined by their use, inscribed in a very particular social context, and their poetic development. Whether in their depth of meaning or their aesthetic value, rap, slam and poetry are sister arts whose mother is literature.

Theatrical pedagogy is currently treated as a methodological tool of vital importance in the work of any subject; because it uses the dramatic or theatrical strategy to develop learning, opening the possibility of proposing new formulas such as: overcoming communication problems, such as stage fright; manipulating various expressive and communicational structures legitimizing oral and written discourse, in addition to promoting imagination, creativity and personal development, which makes it more critical of its environment in order to propose new expressive alternatives. Likewise, the pedagogical moments are transformed into an interpersonal, creative, imaginative and innovative work, among other benefits of collective creation.

This paper analysed the possibility of State liability due to its inefficiency in combating and controlling neglected diseases. According to the World Health Organisation Report (2012), these diseases are caused by infectious or parasitic agents related to aspects of extreme poverty, representing obstacles to the socio-economic development of emerging countries. Based on qualitative bibliographical research, the work examined the non-contractual liability of the state in its omissive modality, anonymous guilt, presenting the damage resulting from the inefficiency of measures to combat and control these diseases. Research was carried out into how the right to health developed after the advent of the 1988 Constitution. The panorama of neglected diseases in Brazil was presented. Finally, the possibility of mitigating the liability of the state entity as a result of citizen behaviour that contributes to the manifestation of these diseases was investigated.

This work constitutes an approach to the literature-cinematography relationship, which establishes a sort of "love-hate" link between both artistic branches throughout their history. The approach of this study, based on the universality of the story (a category to which both the novel and the cinema belong), allows us to analyze the analogies, convergences and divergences between the literary and the filmic narrator in the work of a prolific writer - Bioy Casares - whose written work has usually been a target of film adaptations, as is the case with "El sueño de los héroes", the work chosen for this study.

The purpose of this research was to establish constructivism from the epistemology of meaningful learning, through the allosteric learning model, considering the teaching and learning processes from the cognitive, procedural and attitudinal aspects of the student. Approached under the qualitative approach of Action Research, documentary and field, through an exploratory-descriptive design, which implies action by the researcher, allowing to describe the development of the student's cognitive process, obtaining information on the use of their strategies, using as a technique the participant observation, focused on phenomenology and understanding. The technique of the unstructured interview was used, integrating teachers and students of the 1st year of General High School Education of the Alejandro Ibarra U.E.N. as informants. It was obtained that the intervention and contribution of a meaningful learning based on Andre Giordan's allosteric model is essential, in a dynamic and meaningful way, since routine classes continue without producing a real meaning to what is learned.

We conducted a prospective and descriptive multicenter study from July 2022 to May 2023, a period of 11 months.The aim of this study was to evaluate the management of severe malaria in the community health centers of Filamana, Fakola, Bamba and Guélenikoro in the Sikasso region. The study involved 158 patients presenting with one or more forms of severe malaria according to WHO severity criteria. The predominance of children aged 1 to 5 years was noted (72.3%). The anemic phenotype was the most frequent at 45.4%, while the mixed form was 32.8% and the anemic phenotype 21.5%. IM injectable artemether was used most frequently (59.5%), followed by injectable artesunate (32.9%), and two patients received quinine infusion (1.3%). Relief was mainly provided by artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT). Most anemic phenotypes (60.1%) were transfused with whole blood. Antipyretics were used most frequently (52.7%), followed by antispasmodics (44.9%), and 21 patients (12.9%) received a serum glucose infusion.

In this work, I present CSR as an effective management tool for creating innovation and better controlling risks, in order to guarantee a company's long-term future. I base my analyses on successful business models in Africa and Europe. Secondly, as a collective responsibility that gives everyone a considerable advantage, contrary to many ideas perceived by some, who see it as a kind of atonement for companies' various blunders, or as a way of enhancing their brand image through communication slogans referring to respect for the environment, for example. It has to be said that this concept is still little known, particularly in Africa. I can advise you on how to adopt this approach, so that it proves effective and credible.

Hazardous waste management is a very important issue. This is because hazardous waste is not limited to solid substances. It also exists in liquid and gaseous form. In most African countries, particularly in the coastal countries of West Africa, strong population growth is creating a huge demand for better living conditions. As Africa moves towards rapid urbanisation and a technology boom, electronic products are being used on a large scale. The demand for E-products has led to a rapid increase in E-waste, which is considered hazardous. In most countries, urbanisation is increasing as economies move from developing to more developed countries (Sayon, 1991).

The world is undergoing a technological revolution, and no area is being spared. Developments in transport and telecommunications are bringing us high-speed vehicles. The state of the roads, the lack of vigilance among drivers (alcoholism, smoking), the lack of training in road traffic for drivers and the general public, and currently the phenomenon of motorbike taxis and bicycles with loads, in our area in particular, are contributing to an exponential increase in the number of road accidents. No country is spared from this suffering, which particularly affects young people. A considerable human heritage is destroyed, with very serious socio-economic consequences. This is why the major interest of this study is to find ways and means of minimising the prevalence of road accidents, which are becoming a real public health phenomenon, given the increase in car traffic in our environment compared with previous years, and in a road network that has remained static since colonial times.

The aim of this work is to investigate the effects of the use of flags of convenience on the labour relations of seafarers. The phenomenon of globalisation has brought new economic thinking and with it states have started to relax their laws in favour of financial development. In the same vein, companies sought to increase their profits and began to invest in these countries, especially those with more lenient labour and tax regulations. In this way, the big companies that own the cruise ship fleets have sought out countries with laws that are favourable to their interests. With this in mind, an analysis was made of the connecting factors that are appropriate for resolving possible conflicts arising from divergent laws, highlighting the difference between the connecting factors used to resolve labour conflicts arising from international labour contracts and international marine labour contracts, since the latter have certain peculiarities.

Despite its vital contribution to the livelihoods of the people living in the surrounding villages, the Mieou classified forest is now in an advanced state of degradation due to over-exploitation and encroachment by human activities (some even live there). Faced with this problem, a development and management plan has been drawn up for its sustainable management.The survey was conducted through interviews with 39 key resource persons and stakeholder groups from the various villages bordering the forest. Our results showed that the forest's resources are being used in multiple and abusive ways. With regard to local populations' knowledge of the management plan, the survey revealed that only 38% of our interviewees were aware of the management plan pending implementation; the remaining 62% said they were not aware of such a plan. In addition, around 60% of respondents said they had no other alternative for saving resources (during the replenishment period).

One of the main mechanisms for access to higher education demanded by Afro-Brazilians are affirmative action policies in the form of social and ethnic-racial quotas. This means understanding the subjects of these policies, discussing and characterising the relationships and intersections that are established between the categories of higher education, race/ethnicity and social class and the possible relationship of autonomy that one of these categories may establish in relation to the other. From a theoretical-methodological point of view, this exercise makes it possible to update and consolidate the analyses of the relationships, conditioning and shifts established between the categories already mentioned, when applied to these policies, as well as to perceive and characterise them as ethnically/racially compensatory or not. It is in the sphere of this admittedly polyphonic and burning issue, which has been mobilising the academic community and wider society even before it was implemented in our country, that this study by Marluce de Souza Oliveira Lima is inserted and presented to us here in the form of a book which, due to its importance and contributions, is strongly recommended reading. The tradition of travel runs throughout history, from ancient times to the present day. From ancient times to the 19th century, traveling by stagecoach or horse was common. This book aims to analyse public policy on special education in Brazil's public schools, at a time when the issue is gaining visibility, following the Salamanca Declaration and its developments on the world stage. The main focus of this analysis will be the implementation of specialised educational care policies for children and young people with special needs in the public school system. The environmental impacts caused during the storage process of agricultural products increases as production increases, some mechanisms have been developed to mitigate this. This study demonstrates the operational mechanisms of a soybean storage unit, examining the potential environmental (positive and negative) and socioeconomic effects in all post-harvest stages, from grain transportation to shipping, as well as mitigating measures. Enterococci are gram-positive bacteria with an aero-anaerobic metabolism. They are considered opportunistic pathogens that normally live in the intestinal flora, but can cause septicaemia, urinary tract infections, abdominal infections and endocarditis. They are considered to be responsible for more than 10% of hospital-acquired infections. The pathogenic power of enterococci is due to the presence of virulence genes which code for membrane proteins, toxins and enzymes. These are considered the virulence factors responsible for the formation of biofilms, adhesion, colonisation and destruction of target tissues, etc.

Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is the most common endocrine disease after diabetes mellitus (1 in 1500 hospital admissions) in adulthood as its age of presentation coincides with the second half of life(38). It is a clinical situation in which there is excessive secretion of PTH by the parathyroid glands, leading to chronic hypercalcaemia and alterations in the hormone's main target organs (kidney and bone)(5,6). It is the most common cause of hypercalcaemia in non-hospitalised patients(5,27).

Cerebral palsy is a disorder of movement, muscle tone or posture that is due to damage to the immature and developing brain, most often before birth. Signs and symptoms appear during the first year of life or preschool years. In general, cerebral palsy causes movement impairment associated with abnormal reflexes, limpness or stiffness of the limbs and trunk, abnormal posture, involuntary movements, unsteady gait, or a combination of these. People with cerebral palsy may have problems swallowing and often have eye muscle imbalance, where the eyes do not focus on the same object.

This book aims to contribute to the socialisation of relevant knowledge in the field of Brazilian educational management, especially school management in Amazonas. The discussions and reflections presented here by the author on Total Quality Management in a Public School: Points and Counterpoints, stem from the importance of public school management as an instrument of mediation in the teaching and learning processes, as well as involving social, political and cultural elements, materialised in the reality of the school that influence and contribute to the way it is organised. In this sense, this study sought to analyse the pedagogical processes implemented at the Profª Roxana Pereira Bonessi Full-Time State School (E.T.I.), in the city of Manaus/Amazonas/Brazil, specifically those related to the educational management model, anchored in Total Quality Management (TQM), which applied in a public school in the second decade of the 21st century as a pioneering experience, provoked reflections and debates in the intellectual milieu and rekindled the discussion about neoliberal policies in Brazilian education, especially with its current advance.

Kinyarwanda (Rwandan language) speakers settled in Masisi territory and later in Rutshuru territory. In the first territory, the presence is partly due to the Belgian colonial power that transplanted the Hutus from Rwanda to Congo. Illegal immigrants joined this group and "colonized" the Masisi demographically. In Rutshuru, the current inhabitants crossed the volcanic zone of Mikeno and others to settle in the Bugesera plain. The culture of these people has clashed with that of the indigenous Hunde in both Masisi and Rutshuru. This confrontation did not go smoothly. With the advent of politics and the rise of the demographic rate as well as the movement of other tribes, the confrontation became more and more pronounced. The Hutus have noticed that the Nandes are settled in Goma, Rutshuru and even Nyiragongo without being able to access the territory of Lubero and Beni. This has resulted in frustration and mistrust on both sides.
