Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease of unknown cause, which presents with weakness in the limbs or difficulties in speaking or swallowing, which may be associated with a high nutritional risk. Currently there is no cure, so it is approached in a multidisciplinary manner with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, including nutritional interventions. The aim of the present study was to elucidate the relationship between diet composition and the risk of developing ALS and the evolution of ALS once established. Nutrients and foods that favored the development of ALS (red meat), decreased the risk (antioxidants) and had no effect (mercury), foods and nutrients that favored the progression of the disease (intake deficit) and reduced it (antioxidants) were observed. In conclusion, diet composition and intake of certain micronutrients and foods seem to influence the initial development and progression of ALS.

Prior to the reform introduced by the Order of 10 February 2016, the balance of French law was based on the coexistence of a general theory of contract inspired by the liberal law and more protective special regimes. The latter were conceived and can be read in the light of the Civil Code, which they never supersede. The drafters of the 1804 Civil Code had faith in freedom of contract, which they saw as highly beneficial. Today's legislators are more wary of it, bearing in mind that it can become an instrument of economic domination. In today's society, transparency and the protection of weaker parties are the watchwords, so much so that freedom of contract is often limited in the name of contractual justice. This is the case in the Order of 10 February 2016. However, and this is a fundamental paradox, the ordinance also seeks a certain efficiency in the rules of law available to those involved in economic life. By attempting to reconcile these two interests, the Order of 10 February 2016 makes property law fairer in some respects and more efficient in others.

This book presents a number of alternatives for the treatment and recovery of waste from the sugar-sweetened beverage industry, which contains fairly high levels of carbohydrates that can be used to produce micro-organisms and molecules of industrial interest. The various processes involve using these products as a matrix for producing biomass (ferments: bacteria, yeasts and moulds) or molecules for various uses (hydrogen, bioethanol, organic acids, etc.). Using these beverages as culture media means that the sugars initially present in the matrix can be used up, resulting in industrial waste that is much less polluting for the environment. These clean substrates open up new prospects in the production of micro-organisms and molecules, offering the fermentation, human nutrition and animal nutrition markets bacteria that meet quality standards, including those of the pharmaceutical industry.

In this book we cover different subjects related to the Linux world. First, in Chapter 1, we talk about the virtualization software VirtualBox. In this chapter we show how to obtain the program and how to install and configure a virtual machine. We also show how to obtain the Debian GNU/Linux operating system. Chapter 2 explores the installation of operating systems for servers. We show how to install Debian in the context of server use. Besides step-by-step installation, we provide hints on which partitions can be created in the partition table. Chapter 3 gives a basic introduction to Linux commands and Shell Script programming. It is hoped that by reading this book the reader will be able to minimally explore the Linux universe, from installation to day-to-day use.

SMEs cover a wide range of situations, from very small local businesses to high-tech companies that are future leaders because they contribute to the renewal of the economic fabric and are a source of innovation. The development of SMEs is therefore becoming one of the objectives of public policy, but these SMEs face enormous financing difficulties throughout their life cycle. Contemporary society presents a very worrying environmental reality, the negative effects caused by anthropic action on the environment, has been causing an imbalance in ecosystems. Given this scenario, there is a need for public policies in the country, aiming to minimize environmental impacts. The Ecological ICMS is an economic instrument to encourage the adoption of environmental actions at Municipal level and has been used as an innovative tool in public policies to support biodiversity conservation. This instrument conditions part of the ICMS revenues passed to the Municipalities to environmental criteria, rewarding environmentally desirable performances and encouraging the implementation of actions with this objective. In the State of Rio de Janeiro, the Ecological ICMS was created by law in 2007, and its objective is to transfer a portion of the ICMS to the Municipalities that promote and prove the improvement of environmental quality in their territories, having defined a series of criteria for the transfer of the sum, being the existence of Conservation Units in Municipal territory the main one of them.

Monetary adjustment is the means by which one seeks to recover the purchasing power of a certain amount in national currency, caused by inflation, through a type of index that expresses the price variation of a certain time and place. The credits resulting from lawsuits of any nature, at the end of the same, must be updated according to the monetary correction criteria established by each type of Justice. Currently, there is a discussion on the replacement of the index established for adjustment of credits arising from Labor Courts in view of the declaration of unconstitutionality rendered in Action for Declaration of Unconstitutionality no. 4. 357, which declared unconstitutional the expression "basic remuneration index of the savings account" for correction of credits of precatórios, being that the index used for monetary correction in the Labor Justice, the Referential Rate, uses exactly the basic remuneration index of the savings account to be created, besides the bills of Laws 5.044 of 2013 and 6.171 of 2013 that also deal with the monetary correction of the judicial credits.

At present, humanity is being affected by serious problems that have a significant impact on its development; this is evidenced by the countless manifestations of uneasiness and concern that have been generated worldwide in different sectors that inhabit the planet. The accelerated changes occurring in society demand a highly trained professional who can respond effectively to the problems he/she must face in the exercise and professional performance, which requires a radical change in the methods and strategies of teaching-learning in universities. This study focuses on a proposal for an interdisciplinary, integrative and interactive assignment between Physics II and English II, designed with a methodological structure based on the development of a series of activities organized to promote autonomous collective learning with the purpose of: 1) strengthening the efficient performance of teamwork through collaborative group work; 2) taking advantage of the use of ICT as a means of acquisition, development and transformation of knowledge; and 3) promoting Education for Sustainable Development.

Since 2006, Piauí magazine presents to the Brazilian editorial market a proposal whose reality is built through unusual topics, unusual approaches and humor. Based on this assumption, this paper sought to reflect on the editorial proposal of the magazine, specifically through the articles. In this sense, the understanding goes beyond the consensus that it is a vehicle of communication differentiated by language, authorial character or format, but includes these factors and also seeks answers in each step of the process.The final considerations point as a guiding characteristic the freedom to investigate the meanings of the world, besides several other aspects that explain the construction of reality in such a unique way.

Chronic lower limb venous disease is characterised by a state of hypertension of the venous system. This hypertension, which is caused by an insufficiency and/or obstruction of the deep venous system, becomes the real responsible for the appearance of the clinical symptoms of the disease. It is a vascular disease which affects a large part of the world's population, with significant morbidity and causing great socioeconomic impact, constituting a serious public health problem also due to its high prevalence. Orientations such as the performance of adequate physical activities, control of risk factors (smoking, obesity, etc.), may interfere in several ways, changing the way they live with CVD. The evaluation of the importance of guidance on quality of life has been considered an important criterion, when verifying the impact of these chronic diseases on people's daily lives and the effectiveness of treatments and interventions in the health area.

The aim of this study is to analyse whether there is a concomitance between the relationship to knowledge, which we define as the way in which the subject represents knowledge, and the difficulties that certain pupils encounter at school. This study is based on psychological assessments carried out at a placement in a specialised support network for pupils in difficulty. It is a qualitative analysis based on the results obtained in tests assessing intellectual efficiency, graphic productions and sometimes projective tests. These elements will be studied in the light of the singularity and globality of the subject. Three case studies will then be developed and presented. Each pupil has a different relationship with knowledge. This has a major influence on the way in which pupils approach learning at school. This raises the question of the meaning that pupils can attach to learning. The relationship with knowledge makes it possible to deal with difficulties at school from a psychological point of view, by working on the origins of these difficulties.

Working for 15 years in the clinical area, I was truly delighted to have elderly parents and years later, after becoming a nutritionist, to have the incredible experience of initiating assistance to the elderly who presented disabilities due to chronic diseases. This made me understand that I could act in an earlier stage and make it possible to improve the quality of life. Since then I have dedicated my studies to searching for and understanding the most important nutritional aggravations in the aging population. In this issue, I address the issues related to the changes related to human aging, associated with changes due to disease, and discuss nutritional assessment and recommendations for those aging with HIV.

Some bioengineering laboratories have already succeeded in creating volumetric organs on Earth - their prototypes from living cells. The American Wake Forest University has developed biomaterials capable of preserving volume, such as a model of a human kidney. But the scientists themselves are afraid to make predictions for the distant future, although they like to dream and do not exclude the possibility that they will print a whole person (Frankenstein?) on a bioprinter. What is real now is cranioplasty - restoration of bone defects of the skull. The Burdenko Neurosurgery Center in Moscow was one of the first to do this. Doctors together with engineers use laser sintering to create titanium plates for the head. Will bioprinting solve the problem of the shortage of donor organs? It's not clear yet. But the fact that the first printed noses and earflaps have already been transplanted and are serving their owners is encouraging. Maybe this technology will not be so revolutionary in the first place, but will have some kind of hybrid application? For example, MISIS successfully implanted an individual bone implant in a domestic cat that almost lost its leg.

The traditional store is the retail point of sale that still exists as a microenterprise business carried out by the family group on a small scale, which sells basic necessities, groceries, drinks, miscellaneous items, among other products. The stores are sometimes inherited and it is a space where two to three people work, whose work days are long. It serves for the interaction between producers, wholesalers and end consumers, being a meeting place for neighbors and friends, where commercial practices based on mutual trust are developed. The stores still maintain the trust, although to a lesser extent, as well as haggling, however, the ñapa has been disappearing due to the high cost of living and the value of the products. Labor independence is the main objective of the shopkeepers and it is the traditional channel of distribution and sale of products close to consumers. The shopkeepers undertake with few economic resources, but thanks to their perseverance and self-control they manage to become micro-entrepreneurs.

The criminal status of the Head of State, which in the past was regarded as a mere "academic hypothesis", is now the subject of debate in the academic world. Furthermore, the demands of the rule of law and the development of an international legal order are leading certain States to enshrine a more intelligible and concrete criminal status for the Head of State. In Cameroonian law, however, the question of the Head of State's criminal status remains unclear, not only because of the establishment of a system of criminal liability for the Head of State which derogates from ordinary law, but also because of the prevalence of the Head of State's lack of criminal responsibility.

Malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (MHNL) in children differ from those in adults in their histological, cytogenetic and molecular biological classification and localization. LMNH is a hematological malignancy of the lymphoid tissue, constituted by a proliferation of B or T cells. It is histologically diffuse, of high grade malignancy and very rapid growth, making it a genuine medical emergency. It accounts for 10% of all pediatric cancers. Economic agents face a number of difficulties, the most fundamental of which concerns access to financing. The problem of financing the actions of economic agents is a crucial issue, especially in developing countries where the capital market either does not exist or operates at a low level. In all cases, it is essential for the entrepreneur to assess the needs of his or her business and to consider the possible modes of financing: equity or debt. As a result, since internal sources of financing are often insufficient to meet major needs, economic agents are forced to resort to external debt. It is at this point that the evolution in the behavior and attitudes of economic players has prompted us to replace the traditional, static analysis of debt with a dynamic vision of debt policy, which has become, thanks to highly ingenious procedures, a genuine means of financing companies.

This paper analyzes the influence of the informal sector on the Senegalese economy. A two-sector DSGE model is used for the simulations. Deterministic and random shocks to informal sector productivity are simulated. The results showed that, following a 5% annual increase in informal sector productivity over 10 years, aggregate output would rise by an average of 2%, that of the informal sector would increase by 4.9%, while that of the formal sector would be virtually unaffected. The impact on the economy's productivity would be positive, given the preponderance of the informal sector. The result would be an increase in final household consumption and a fall in the general price level. The results of the random shock simulations showed that consumer prices would be more sensitive to productivity improvements in the informal sector, and would respond instantaneously to shocks, reaching a maximum drop of 12.27%. In addition, all other aggregates would have responded significantly to shocks.

Vertical silos are structures intended for the storage of powdery or granular, bulk products. During unloading some problems may occur, such as cohesive arch formation and rathole. Inserts are instruments used to minimize flow problems in vertical silos. The main objective of this research was the numerical and experimental analysis of the mass flow rate and the unloading velocity of the stored product. The software ANSYS 15.0, based on the Finite Volume Method (FVM), was used. It was observed the influence of the inserts in the solution of flow problems, being that the insert 2 in the second height analyzed, promoted the best results for the improvement of the flow pattern of the stored product. Regarding the numerical model, all simulations performed presented average error values lower than 15%, thus concluding that the proposed model was consistent with the experimental model.

The international conference on primary health care held in Alma-Ata (former Soviet Republic) from 6 to 12 September 1978 underlined the need for urgent action by all governments, all health and development workers and the international community to protect and promote health for all. Togo, a small country in West Africa with a growing population (5,556,812 inhabitants in 2004), faced with a completely dilapidated economic situation, has signed up to Primary Health Care and in its National Health Policy (PNS) adopted in 1998, has taken good account of the resolutions of this conference, but the reality on the ground seems to be quite different. Population dynamics are leading to internal migration (from rural areas to urban centres) in search of better living conditions.

The combustion of finely divided metal powders represents a new clean energy alternative for the propulsion of the vehicles of the future. In this work, we plan to reduce the metal oxides resulting from this reaction using the concentrated solar route to propose a "combustion-regeneration" cycle. A literature review and a thermodynamic study were carried out to select the most efficient metal/oxide couples for this application. Preliminary carbo-reduction experiments under reduced pressure using a reactor placed in the hearth of a concentrated solar furnace yielded powders with high magnesium contents.

We report on the specific anatomical and clinical features of hepato-cholecal biliary lithiasis in Vietnam. Ascarid migration into the biliary tract is the cause of gallstone formation, biliary tract infestation aggravated by suppurative angiocholitis, complicated by angiocholitic abscesses, tropical haemobilia, acute oedematous pancreatitis and endotoxic shock with a very severe prognosis.

The aim of the present study is to determine the epidemiological profile of male sexual disorders in Mbujimayi. The study is prospective, carried out over a 2-month period among the general population in the five communes of the city of Mbujimayi (Muya, Dibindi, Kanshi, Diulu and Bipemba). Sexuality is an important parameter of quality of life. It has an impact on married life. Male sexual disorders are responsible for marital conflict and divorce. They include: erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorders, libido disorders and orgasm disorders. Sexual disorders are common in our environment. The most common is erectile dysfunction. Associated factors are the age of the subject and the use of drugs that depress sexual function.

Morocco's tourism sector has risen to considerable challenges, enabling it to position itself as the country's economic powerhouse. OUAOUIZIGHT, in the province of AZILAL, is part of the Atlas vallées territory in the center of the country. This book answers the following questions: "Will tourism in Ouaouizight be sustainable? How can local people be involved in the process? Is tourism development fair and responsible? And are the townspeople really benefiting from this windfall? Most of the tourism projects currently underway are being carried out by foreigners; the local population of Ouaouizeght doesn't feel involved at all, despite the fact that most of the labor in the tourism sector is provided by the local population (construction, catering, accommodation, reception...). Tourism is becoming an increasingly important source of employment and foreign currency for the Ouaouizeght commune. Thanks to tourism, the local territory and heritage (cultural, natural, architectural...) will be enhanced.

Corporate culture seems an outdated notion to those who see it only as invariable from one institution to another. However, despite its homeostatic nature, it is a unique symbol in each firm, bringing together values, norms, representations and identities, the cohesion of which activates the patterns of productivity. On the other hand, multinationals pose the thorny problem of harmonising codes, representations and identities. It is difficult to establish a common language, especially when different cultures are involved. With the advent of mergers and acquisitions, some human resources departments, gnawed by the uncertainty of multinationals, are experiencing unbearable stress, leading to early retirement without a cultural lifeline to emancipate the precarious in a world of heightened competitiveness. But the dialectical position of the paradox resolved in the dual concept of 'work and distraction' is part of the adoption of a humanist philosophy, favouring quality of life at work.

In a country with so many energy and water resources, the sub-optimal situation of, for example, water and electricity is largely the result of inadequate allocation of financial resources and the shortcomings of the public companies in charge of these sectors. Some 84% of financing is external, 14% is self-financed by REGIDESO, and the State has only contributed 2%. In view of this situation and the decentralization process, we decided to examine the opportunities available to the three pilot provinces to mobilize the local resources needed for their own development. PPP was thus chosen as the hypothesis for our work, in order to respond to this urgent and important need for provincial development. To achieve this, we carried out a questionnaire survey of 35 members of procurement and contract execution institutions in three new decentralized provinces: the city/province of Kinshasa, the province of Kwango and Kwilu in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This feasibility study, carried out from February 2014 to July 2014, concerns the rehabilitation and improvement of the electrical and energy circuits at the Minoterie du Faso plant based in Burkina Faso. The aim was to bring it into line with electrical safety standards, minimize energy consumption and increase its economic profitability. Firstly, this work consisted in diagnosing the Minoterie's electrical installations and receivers. Secondly, the plant's MV/LV electrical network was brought up to standard, following an appropriate design and complete sizing of the low-voltage network, resulting in 02 power transformers, each with a capacity of 630 kVA, and a 1250 kVA emergency unit to cover the total installed electrical load of 955 kW. Electrical connections will be made using cables with cross-sections ranging from 1.5 to 240 mm², and a set of 42 electrical switchboards. The work will be spread over 1 year and will cost a total of 1,487,951,050 FCFA. In the end, the recommended energy efficiency measures will produce almost free energy after 13 years and for 12 years, with a reduction in CO2 emissions of 11,028 tonnes.
