The lexico-semantic analysis of the Ivorian motto "Union, Discipline, Work" highlights two terms: lexicon and semantics. The lexicon of a language is its set of words. These form a whole, a kind of semantic system, which evolves over time. The relationships between words, form and, above all, meaning are highly diverse. The size of a lexicon, more or less variable, depends on the fields of knowledge or techniques it is used to express. The extent of the lexicon known or used by each person also varies, depending on their background, but also on their stories and life situations. Semantics is the branch of linguistics that studies the signified. It covers a whole range of processes that contribute to the construction of meaning in communication, and in language in particular.

Created in 1997 and reformulated in 2007, the National Programme of Educational Technologies (Proinfo) is the state public policy for socio-digital inclusion implemented by the Ministry of Education (MEC), maintained with funds from the National Fund for Education Development (FNDE) and coordinated by the Secretariat of Basic Education (SEB / MEC) which aims to promote the pedagogical use of computers in the public basic education network. Through the Educational Technology Centres / Municipal Educational Technology Centres (NTE's / NTM's) it aims at training educational agents for the appropriation and use of ICTs in education. In this perspective, this work aimed to verify whether Proinfo has promoted the training of educational agents for the use of ICTs in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte and, to this end, it was necessary to analyze the documentation of the implementation of Proinfo, locate and visit the NTE's / NTM's and schools attended and raise the projects that develop. The research had a qualitative and quantitative nature; as to the level it was a descriptive explanatory research that used the strategies of bibliographic research, survey and observation.

This book attempts to provide some empirical, as well as theoretical, answers to the essential question of what are the effective or ideal conditions for an effective education system in Africa. Using the socio-educational example of Benin, a French-speaking country in West Africa, the author first looks at the cross-cutting factors of educational aims and the physical and socio-professional environments of education. Then, looking more specifically at each level of education - primary, secondary and university - he analyzes the role played, or potentially played, by factors such as basic reading skills, teachers' motivational practices, the effects of the transition from primary to secondary school, the organization of school learning time, the teaching of morals, corrective practices in written expression, university admission and validation systems, and the choice of university teaching methods.

This book arises from the identification of the role of SME support institutions in Central America and the writing of more than 100 case studies on the trajectory of small and medium enterprises in the region. The comparison between the needs of these enterprises and the services offered by the institutions led us to the conclusion of the importance of creating a more effective link between them, which we call the "Business Extensionist". The process of preparing Extensionists, the results of the first tests of the process and a glimpse of the future are the essence of the document that reaches the reader's hands.

Asia is a continent that is a priority for the Republic of Belarus, primarily as a capacious, promising and expanding market for Belarusian goods and services, as a promising donor of investment in the Belarusian economy. Some countries of the region are among the world leaders in terms of direct investments abroad, which can be used by Belarus to develop promising sectors of its national economy. There are mechanisms of interaction and dialogue in trade and economic, industrial and cooperation, scientific and technical, cultural and educational spheres with such countries of the continent as China, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Syria, Iran, Turkey and Mongolia. Belarus has a solid legal framework for cooperation with many Asian countries, which continues to develop, supplemented by new agreements in promising areas of partnership. Moreover, there are objective prerequisites for promoting Belarusian interests in other Asian countries. What steps are being taken in these areas to make Belarus' trade and economic cooperation in Asian markets even stronger and broader? This study is about that.

Autism: a subject as vast as it is interesting. As intriguing as it is fascinating. It's not uncommon to hear from people who work in this field on a daily basis that professionals are not trained, and that too few people in France are interested in this cause. Yet many associations are mobilizing every day to make their voices heard, and more and more training organizations are offering specialized courses. So it's hard to believe that France is so far behind when it comes to autism care. The 2013-2017 autism plan, launched following the publication of the 2012 recommendations for good professional practice, has already seen France see the birth of new measures for the care of people with autism spectrum disorders. Methods, which were only used abroad, have appeared in various structures, encouraging professionals to train more to work with this public. Nevertheless, should we base ourselves on these methods alone, or should we look at the knowledge that specialist educators apply when working with this population?

An epidemiological, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study of 150 women aged 18 to 85 years, residing in Berkane, was conducted. The data collected from a questionnaire including sociodemographic, anthropometric, and biological characteristics were processed and analyzed. Our study population had an average age of 50.3 years (standard deviation = 12.02 years), BMI of 30.36 kg.m-2 (±7.3), the incidence of diabetes was 25% with only 45% of diabetics being on treatment, and 24% having a balanced hba1c. This book focuses on an important issue in the hotel industry: the retention and management of seasonal staff. A number of studies have been carried out on hotel and restaurant staff. We know that the food and service professions are difficult jobs, that working hours are different from those in other sectors, and that salaries are not among the highest when compared with other working environments. However, little or no research has been carried out on the specific case of seasonal workers in the hotel and catering sector. Who are these people? How important are they to companies? What is at stake, and how do companies adapt to this special workforce? All these questions will be addressed in the course of our study.

The in-depth diagnosis of artisanal fisheries Professional Organizations (POs) in Guinea is being carried out within the framework of the AFD-funded project "Support to the Sub-Regional Fisheries Commission for the development of co-management initiatives and for the integration of MPAs in fisheries management in West Africa". It is the second phase of a study of the capacities of professional fishing organizations in Guinea. ADEPA is in charge of the study. The final objective is to propose possible solutions to strengthen the participation of POs in fisheries management in SRFC member countries. The work is the result of semi-structured interactive interviews with various stakeholders, in particular the heads of the UNPAG executive board and members of the Development Committee boards of three landing stages (Taboriah, Bongolon and Koukoudé) on the Guinean coast. External people deemed essential for understanding the environment of fishing POs were also consulted.

The Covid-19 pandemic signifies a turning point in terms of sexual abuse of children and adolescents, since the closer coexistence between victims and perpetrators led to an increase in the frequency and frequency of occurrence of these crimes. Thus, there is a contradiction between the effects expected by the legislator regarding the effectiveness of Article 199 of Law 1098 of 2006, compared to the figures registered by the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences for children and adolescents between 2018 and 2021. From this it can be established that despite the stiffening of penalties for rapists and murderers of this population (reflected in Art. 199 of the Law on Childhood and Adolescence and Art. 83 of the Colombian Penal Code), there is a manifest inability to interpret the mentality of the perpetrators, and thus achieve a decrease in the frequency with which the crime is committed. Thus, the problem is analysed from the perspective of one of the auxiliary sciences of law, represented in the Manual of Legal Psychology by Emilio Mira y López, published in 1932, the only one of its kind to date.

In this short essay, the author attempts to place youth at the heart of the development process in Africa. The reader will understand, by following in his footsteps, that inequalities are immutable, no matter from what angle they are approached or the scale from which they are apprehended. Subsequently, through formulas that he poses and applies consecutively through clear and precise examples, he clearly shows that the educational system that makes the student a reciter is obsolete and deserves new foundations. For this reason, he clearly establishes the difference between the accumulation of knowledge and the assimilation of knowledge, while at the same time highlighting the complementarity that exists between theoretical knowledge (knowledge) and practical knowledge (know-how), without which any competence would be incomplete. Finally, he discusses the social, health and economic risks associated with uncontrolled sexuality, alcoholism, drug use, gambling and membership in esoteric organizations of a pernicious nature.

The theme of this book is social security and non-contributory social protection, and its focus is to present the Brazilian and Argentine social protection models through the historical background and recent changes in the formation of social security in Brazil and Argentina. The research data was collected through bibliographic research in books, theses, dissertations and scientific journals, and also from documentary sources through the official websites of the governments of the two countries. In addition, data was collected via questionnaire with Brazilian and Argentinean researchers in the area of Social Sciences, Political Science and Social Work.

This study will analyze the prevalence or not of paternity socio-affective over biological, since the attribution of legal value to affection, made the biological factor ceased to be of paramount importance for the determination of parentage, thus occurring the de-biologization of family law, recognizing the importance and the impossibility, as a rule, of deconstituting the paternity socio-affective. Currently, there are innovative decisions of the Brazilian courts, admitting the multiparentality, that is, the possibility of the individual to be registered in the name of two fathers or two mothers. That said, we see that current family law does not point to a single solution to disputes involving the recognition of paternity and therefore the importance of this study.

Its success is at once political, economic and cultural, with a geostrategic influence that will make the African continent the lever of a fruitful alter-globalisation, for the inter-enrichment of peoples and civilisations.

In Brazil, the management of basic sanitation services is presented according to several models, each with its own peculiarities. Studies related to policies and management models of these services are still very incipient, and most of the research in the field of sanitary and environmental engineering is directed to the technological area and there are few studies aimed at deepening knowledge on the subject. In this work, it was proposed to analyze some points related to the provision of public services of water supply and sanitary sewerage in the State of Mato Grosso for the year 2014 compared with the goals of 2015, based on the indicators of the National Sanitation Information System (SNIS). Technical parameters were defined for the analysis of the indicators, classifying the results as satisfactory (blue) or unsatisfactory (red). This categorization meets the conception of Sunshine Regulation, highlighting the monitoring of the provision in the basic sanitation sector in the State of Mato Grosso.

Soil is a fundamental resource for human life on our planet, Earth. More than 90% of the goods we need come directly or indirectly from the soil. However, it is under threat, dangerously eroded, its productive capacity severely tested, and we are witnessing a fall in food production, for which it is mainly involved. This drop in production is caused by the deterioration of the soil's characteristics, which constitute its fertility. At this turning point in history, with demographic growth accompanied by increasing food requirements, humanity faces the challenge of feeding all this population. It has become imperative for mankind to concern itself with the fate of the soil. The lives of all living beings, plants and animals, including humans, depend on this resource. Agricultural activity, which is nourishing, depends on the soil. It's up to the agronomist, the essential agent of agriculture, to better understand the soil in order to make better use of it. That's why this book, aimed at agronomy students, is so important and such a useful tool.

As its title indicates, this study deals with the problematic situations relating to environmental management in the artisanal mining sector. For southern countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, our study area, poverty is one of the factors encouraging disagreement between stakeholders on sustainable environmental management in the mining sector. The study attempts to identify the scale of the problem by asking the following question: "How can we elucidate the problematic situations relating to environmental management in the artisanal mining sector? We have used the anthropology of law and symbolic interactionism as our theoretical lenses for reading the facts. Among the methodological tools we used were observation and non-directive interviews to gather data. Thematic content analysis was used to interpret the results. Impacts on human health and the ecological environment are the major concerns of the stakeholders involved.

The historical advances in science and technology have caused paradigm shifts in agriculture, especially with the transformations resulting from the chemical industry, added to the biotechnological revolution. Today, due to the evidence of the socio-environmental harmfulness of this model, a new technological matrix is needed to replace the hegemonic one. This study seeks to highlight the challenges of agroecology in the construction of a technological reconversion that is sustainable, socially just and economically viable in the context of an agrarian reform settlement in the Northeast of Brazil. The aim is to understand the strengths and limitations of an incomplete agrarian reform process. The study site was the Chico Mendes III Settlement, Zona da Mata in Pernambuco, which has adopted agro-ecology as a supportive and sustainable production option. The social determination of health was the category that guided the systematization and analysis of the study. As a main result we have that: the agroecological experience lived, although still with limitations, as evidenced, presents strengths that translate into processes that favor health and quality of life.

The general aim of the present book is to analyse the historical process that led Brazilian social security to compose new trends in the 1990's, which include the privatization process of social security and health and the advocacy for the expansion of social assistance in dealing with the expressions of the "social issue", and, how, as a result of this process, social assistance came to be ideologically taken as a social fetish as it became a legitimising instrument of the state at the turn of the 21st century, mainly through conditional cash transfer programmes such as the Bolsa Família Programme (BFP).

The results obtained and their novelty: the possibility of improving the drying process of melon by combined pre-treatment and the use of high-efficiency heat pump drying unit has been shown. Empirical formulas describing hygroscopic properties of melon after adsorption as well as factors influencing the adsorption process and indicators of water activity have been obtained. The properties of working agents have been studied and the method of engineering calculation of heat-pump drying unit has been created.Practical significance: improving the combined method of melon drying by pre-wetting the pulp in syrup increasing the productivity of the unit for the dried product by using immature melon fruits and increasing the yield of finished products through wetting in sugar syrup. Heat-pump drying unit gives an opportunity to save electric energy.

This book was developed to get an idea of how the children of the city of Itacurubi-RS are in relation to their health, since the city does not have basic sanitation, which hinders the purification of water, and that can lead to the appearance of intestinal parasites and cause problems in the development of children in the city, other factors such as personal hygiene and washing food before eating them are also fundamental to the eradication of any intestinal parasite.
