In Gabon, talking about land has become a taboo subject, because there are a number of inconsistencies in the allocation of plots. The objective of this study is to determine the technical efficiency of family farms and identify the factors that determine their income. Based on qualitative and quantitative data collection, it leads to a number of results. First, 46.5% of farms in Mauritius are technically efficient under variable returns to scale and that productivity is significantly influenced by the gender of the farm manager and the area cultivated. Second, farms in the Senegal Delta cultivate an average area of 2.23 hectares and earn an average gross income of ¿2126.816 per season. In addition, the level of education of the head of the household, the size of the cultivated area and certain non-agricultural activities (fattening) are identified as determining factors of agricultural income. Therefore, policies to improve the formal education of producers, capacity building of their organizations and access to land and inputs need to be undertaken to modernize family farms.

Plasmodium falciparum malaria, the most prevalent and potentially deadly plasmodium, is a disease that can be both treated and prevented. This requires adequate funding. Bilateral and multilateral funding has increased 20-fold globally since 2000. The DRC has made malaria a priority by setting up a National Malaria Control Program with the objective of coordinating malaria control activities and contributing to the reduction of malaria-related morbidity and mortality through promotional, preventive, curative and operational research activities. As malaria is a problem that continues to kill children as well as adults, it was essential to make a contribution to science by monitoring the progression of cases and deaths over 5 years (2011-2015) in two health zones of the city province of Kinshasa in relation to their location (urban or peri-urban). As a preventive measure, this kind of analysis can lead to the development of new strategies.

The overall objective of this study is to conduct phenological observations under experimental conditions of Caloncoba wilwitschii seeds in the nursery under the ecological conditions of Kikwit and its surroundings. The operational objectives are to: To establish an experimental device of Caloncoba wilwitschii seeds; To determine the germination rate of the species concerned; To produce seedlings of the species studied; To observe the growth in height and diameter; To follow the evolution of the appearance of aerial vegetative organs. Our work consisted in conducting trials of seeds and cuttings of Myrianthus arboreus in nursery under experimental conditions in the region of Kikwit and its surroundings. The observations were conducted for 5 months. The results obtained are encouraging and open the way for scientists to use the material for reforestation and afforestation of degraded lands, in order to respond to the REDD + policy. We suggest to other researchers to deepen the knowledge on other parameters that we did not address during our work.

After graduating in nursing, I had the opportunity to work as a management consultant in a municipality of Baixada Fluminense, where I observed the great difficulties that arose when it came to improving access and quality in primary care, indicating this as a cause for the large number of users who were directed to secondary and tertiary care. Soon after entering the Professional Masters Course in Family Health, I participated in the 2nd cycle of the National Programme for Improving Access and Quality in Primary Care (PMAQ). As I had only experienced the management side of this issue, I realized at that moment, the chance to monitor the professionals who work directly in primary care, imbued with the intention to improve access and quality of services offered. Through the preparation of the research project, I glimpsed the possibility of writing about how these professionals are implementing this program of the Ministry of Health. To carry out the work, I followed the line of reasoning that permeates the PMAQ/AB and deepened the study of the topic through literature review.

The results of the analysis of the consequences of climate change are presented. It is shown that climate change is accompanied by an increase in the probability of dangerous natural processes, as well as the severity of the consequences of these emergencies. Based on the highlighted evidence of climate change, an analysis of the consequences of climate change for climate risk management in the railroad transport is carried out. With the aim of producing synthetic wheat, interspecific hybridizations were performed between 7 genotypes of wheat grown in Tunisia (female parent) and 11 ecotypes of Aegilops tauschii, originating from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkmenistan and Syria (male parent). The possibility of obtaining hybrid plants, with and without embryo rescue, was studied. Aegilops pollen induced the formation of 270 hybrid caryopses from 5638 pollinated flowers. The average number of caryopses obtained was about 7 caryopses found on each pollinated spike. Variability in plant regeneration rate was observed in durum wheat genotypes. The hybrids show a dominance of the morphological traits of the female parent. These traits are manifested in the hybrid spike. The crosses made by the durum wheat varieties; Jenah Khotifa, Chili, Mahmoudi have allowed the production of plants with and without embryo rescue. However, the production of synthetic lines without embryo rescue would be advantageous because of its simplicity compared to embryo rescue which is a more technically demanding technique.

The present work, concerns the comparative study of sowing and cutting of Solanum melongena L. (brinjal eggplant) on fruit production. The objective of this work is to evaluate the effects of cuttings on growth and fruit production in comparison with the growth and production of plants from seed. Two treatments plus a control: T0 (plants from seeds), T1 (plants from cuttings) and T2 (plants from non-augmented cuttings) were used with 15 plants per treatment. The results obtained show that there was no significant difference between the plants from cuttings and those from seeds on the number of flowers per plant, the number of fruits per plant, the average fruit length and the average fruit diameter. Plants from cuttings showed earliness compared to those from seeds.

This research study aims to characterise the profile of consumers of a Portuguese hypermarket chain regarding the waste and reuse of fruit and vegetables in the home environment.

This work is the result of an experimental research on "Effects of pyrethrum extracts on black bean aphids (Aphis fabae) in the agro-ecological conditions of Goma, DR Congo". At the end of the experimentation, it turned out that in the results found, the most illustrative data is the mortality rate of the population recorded after treatment of the crop. In this case, treatment three (T3) caused an average mortality of 97% of the 100% of the population that appeared, followed by treatment two (T2) which also killed 92% of the population that appeared and finally T1 which only caused a mortality of 27%. This shows that these products (extracts) responded favorably compared to the absolute control (TO).
