This Master's thesis is part of a comparative aesthetics study of cinematographic techniques in the novel Les Grandes Blondes by French writer Jean Echenoz. The main aim of this study is to explore the exchanges between the two media, novel and film, in the verbal material or "materiality of semiotic treatment" of the Echenozian text, using an intersemiotic approach. The aim is to identify, decipher and analyze cinematographic processes as an object of meaning and a sui generis textual property. The problematic underlying this study is as follows: How does Jean Echenoz's Les Grandes Blondes verbalize cinematographic aesthetics on a thematic and structural level?

This book, "the dream of my youth", is in two parts, a general summary and a conclusion. A bibliography of some 570 references relating to the Acacia tortilis taxon in Tunisia and worldwide, and to the Gommier forest-steppe and its floristic procession at Bled Talah, completes the book. The first part deals with the taxonomic denomination and systematic classification of the species Acacia tortilis ssp. raddiana, the only forest species in the Acacia tortilis forest-steppe in Tunisia. We discussed its biological (phenology, germination, growth and development), symbiotic and biochemical processes, as well as its ecological behavior and use. We also discussed its phenotypic and genetic diversity, its biogeographical origin and its worldwide geographical distribution, with particular emphasis on its distribution in Africa and Tunisia. Finally, we examine the differences between the authors who have studied this species.In the second part, we characterized the ecological conditions of the Bled Talah region, the only current site of the Gommier forest-steppe in Tunisia.

This book is conceived as a contribution to the presentation of a general panorama and a balance of the archaeological research carried out in the middle valley of the Cauca River, after several years of work and constant contributions to the pre-Hispanic knowledge of the area. However, its purpose is not to resolve current theoretical, conceptual and methodological debates, but rather to point out, through a judicious review of the results of the research efforts carried out up to the time of this publication, the advances and challenges for archaeological work in this cultural zone, with emphasis on those related to the Hoya del Quindío. This book presents some general considerations about the ageing process and its relationship with nutrition and the emotional state of the elderly. It is hoped that it will guide and stimulate the development of educational practices in the health of the elderly by health professionals and/or managers who are willing to better understand the ageing process. Chapter I deals with the Nutritional Assessment of the Elderly, which aims to identify individuals at increased risk of complications associated with their nutritional status, so that they can receive appropriate nutritional therapy. Chapter II deals with Nutritional Recommendations for the Elderly, where nutrition plays a crucial role in the conditions associated with the elderly. Chapter III deals with Nutrition Education for the elderly, which is a strategy recommended by public policies on food and nutrition. Chapter IV deals with Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and deficiency in the elderly, whose modifiable risk factors include inadequate eating habits. Chapter V deals with Psychology and Nutrition, a look at age, fostering and the subjectivity of ageing.

Although tuberculosis is most common in the lungs, it also affects other organs, and is known as extrapulmonary tuberculosis. A descriptive, exploratory study with a quantitative approach was carried out with the aim of analyzing all the cases of extrapulmonary tuberculosis treated at a hospital in the city of São Luís-MA. The results show that 53.7% of the patients studied were male. The most frequent clinical forms were pleural (59.26%) and ganglionic (25.93%). The main auxiliary tests for diagnosing tuberculosis seen in the medical records were: sputum smear microscopy (48.15%), sputum culture (16.67%), PPD (40.74%), X-ray (68.52%). With regard to the most commonly used treatment regimen, regimen I predominated (94.44%). It can be concluded that extrapulmonary tuberculosis can be a serious form of infection which can lead to death if not treated and diagnosed in time. It is therefore necessary for health professionals to be prepared to provide the basic conditions for successful treatment, through informative and educational activities.

A proper understanding of the concept of teacher training leads us to assume the responsibilities that the trainer has, not only in the process of preparing the future teacher but, above all, that their development is focused on change, which should be at the centre of the whole teacher training process. However, the concern to understand teachers' conceptions, practices and professional knowledge should be the permanent guide for teacher training institutions, through which they ensure the development of the training curriculum.

This research, carried out as part of a stricto sensu postgraduate course, proposes reflecting on children's literacy in a critical dimension based on Paulo Freire's proposals. Thinking about literacy in this way requires asking about the principles that underpin the different conceptions of the process of teaching and learning to read and write, i.e. what model of literacy one has or wishes to have; what is meant by reading and writing, which implies recognising that it is the epistemological and political assumptions that underpin the decisions about literacy that are made in the classroom, translated into the selection of content, methodologies and resources and materials, and, above all, in the social relationships that are established in the educational act.

This research was carried out with the aim of designing a manual of meaningful and pedagogical comprehensive prevention strategies to address addictive behaviours of alcohol and drug use, aimed at parents and participants of the Pro-Patria Labour Education Workshop, where it was applied. The research is a quantitative, feasible project, with a field design. Population 298 participants and parents of the Pro-Patria Labour Education Workshop, and the sample was a total of 6 parents, 24 teachers, 110 participants. The technique used was survey and observation. The instruments used were a mixed questionnaire, an open-ended questionnaire and a checklist. The reliability was established by the criteria obtained from the experts through the validation instruments. The study found that the manual fulfils the function of educating, sensitising and developing awareness, both for parents and participants. On how to prevent and reduce addictive behaviours of alcohol and drug use. It is recommended to promote in families and educational institutions: love, values, assertive communication.

The theme of this study is the urban environment and the changes affecting the lives of Brazil's elderly population in the 21st century. Based on this research topic, the general objective was established, which seeks to identify the changes in the urban environment and the implications for the lives of elderly people born at the beginning of this century. This population was part of the colonisation of the country. The main theoretical approaches highlight the emergence of cities, the rural exodus, the favelas in the states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, the establishment of large metropolises, changes in environmental legislation, the emergence of laws aimed at defending and protecting the elderly and the transformations in the lives of the people who began colonisation. They were labelled as elderly. That's why they lacked space in the lives of their families, in the cities, on the streets and in the squares. The environment they knew no longer exists. As for the methodology, bibliographical research was carried out by reading books, researching websites, related literature, compendiums, magazines and newspapers.

With the increase of the technological infrastructure of the University of Cuenca, the number of users, departmental divisions and communication equipment is increasing, which generates the need to implement new security mechanisms to maintain the integrity, availability and confidentiality of the information. The proper functioning of computer equipment, computer systems and communication equipment must be linked to a correct selection of controls that allow the institutional interests to be achieved.

Given that there is a constant growth in companies, where Occupational Health and Safety is gaining importance as time goes by, due to the need to ensure the welfare of their employees. Standards that regulate OSH, require providing employees with optimal working conditions, where they feel safe and healthy, increasing productivity and competitiveness. The implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OSHMS) generates great advantages such as: more effective decision making, improved strategic planning, more efficient allocation of resources, among others, which contribute to making the organisation more competitive, caring for its employees and complying with regulations. This article presents the structuring of an OSHMS in a company dedicated to the maintenance of conveyor belts located in Valle de Cauca, using the PHVA methodology (Plan, Do, Check, Act) where the structuring is focused on the Plan and Do (PH) and provide a specific guide for the company to perform the remaining stages (VA).

Hydromagmatic hornitos, known in the Anglo-Saxon literature as pseudo-craters or littoral cones, are small mounds built by lava fragments that are arranged on the surface of many lava flows. Their study is of great interest for research on the behaviour of lava flows in regions of lava-water interaction (coastal, lake, etc.) and their influence on the morphology of volcanic areas (such as Hawaii, the Canary Islands or Iceland). In addition, their analysis involves an explosive procedure of less intensity, but of equal behaviour, than the large volcanic complexes of explosive genesis by water-magma contact. The methodology used was based on the morphometric and typological analysis of both the smaller topographic units and the surrounding lava flows, using GIS technology. In the Canary Islands, these minor topographic anomalies appear to be unrooted constructions, of varied plan and elevation, whose spatial distribution is usually associated with the layout of the different flow units of a lava flow and the geometry of the different lava lobes, being linked to the location of lava flows in the environment.

Because of its impact on both children and adults, it is currently a topic of great interest and is the subject of many studies worldwide. This research addresses important aspects related to the aetiopathogenesis of the syndrome and the different treatments used to alleviate it; it also provides information about the associated morbidities and conceptual approaches that are evident in international classification systems. The research design was exploratory, retrospective and descriptive. The files of 2780 students were analysed, and only 7 teachers from the eight selected schools were interviewed. The teachers were administered the Conners questionnaire.
