It's been 6 years since the NGO ADRA implemented its development project called JENGA II in several villages of the Ruzizi plain, in Uvira territory, for the benefit of local farmers and herders. With this in mind, this work analyzed the project's contribution to the promotion of the latter's living conditions by means of field surveys carried out during the months of April and May 2017. Through qualitative empirical research conducted with project beneficiaries, local authorities and the organization's field agents. this study was able to draw up an analysis of the NGO's interventions within the beneficiaries' households, while determining the causes of failure of the actions carried out on the improvement of living conditions, and to finally propose the axes or strategic orientations that it could set up, with the aim of promoting its future projects in a perspective of contributing to the development of Congolese rural populations in general, and in this case, those of the Ruzizi plain living in extreme poverty.

The shared misfortune of poverty can only be overcome by shared happiness, and the ethical depth of Africa is shared happiness. With this ethical depth, it is possible to re-humanize the world and take advantage of this re-humanization of the world for our development. African humanity must therefore be the source of inspiration most capable of enabling us not to allow ourselves to be crushed by the global structures of our impoverishment. It is insofar as it is underpinned by the ambition to build shared happiness through communal progress, as opposed to the individualized unveiling imposed on us by the current world order. We need to initiate a civilizational turnaround now, starting with a rejection of the neo-liberal spellbinding whose harmful effects we can see everywhere in our countries, and set up community initiatives.

On a daily basis, pathologists are confronted with appendectomy specimens in which various lesions have developed. Preoperative detection of precancerous and tumoral lesions of the appendix remains exceptional, despite the contribution of medical imaging. Only anatomopathological examination provides diagnostic certainty. The aim of the present study was to determine the value of systematic anatomopathological examination of appendectomy specimens in patients undergoing surgery for acute appendicitis, and to describe the epidemiological and evolutionary particularities of incidentally discovered appendicular lesions.

Coping strategies are basic skills, recognized as one of the most important and skills with the greatest impact on the quality of the foundations of social functioning. The aim of this study was to find out which Coping Strategies are most used by Individuals in the Active Drug Use Phase, relating coping strategies to sociodemographic characteristics and characteristics relating to consumption. It was also the aim of this study to identify in this population whether the fact that active substance users have diagnosed chronic illnesses, specifying any illnesses that have been flagged up, contributes to them using coping strategies differently.

Introduction:The association of medial meniscal ramp lesions with rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament is underestimated.This lesion draws its specificity partly because of the diagnostic and therapeutic difficulty and partly because of the repercussions on knee stability.Methods :Systematic exploration of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus was performed in all patients. Surgical repair of the medial meniscal ramp lesion was performed using the ALL INSIDE method.Results:The mean age of our series was 24 years. A medial meniscal lesion was found in 42 patients (40%), including 10 medial meniscal ramp lesions, i.e. a prevalence of 9.5% in our population.At last recoil of patients who had a suture for medial meniscal ramp lesions, ARPEGE scoring showed 100% good results.Conclusions:Liberation of the medial compartment of the knee and systematic arthroscopic exploration postero-medially before any ligamentoplasty is the only guarantee of not overlooking an injury to the medial meniscal ramp, the repair of which is imperative in order to avoid residual laxity.

The OSCE test that validates the orthopaedic internship is often disproportionate between adult and paediatric orthopaedics, and cannot attest to the achievement of the paediatric orthopaedic extern's objectives. This discrepancy between the evaluation test and the clerkship prompted us to establish another formative evaluation test during the clerkship to assess our externs' learning.Patients and methods: Our study was prospective and longitudinal. We used two linear PMPs, the first of which was of the diagnostic type "Etiological diagnosis of febrile lameness" and the second of the therapeutic type "Therapeutic management of hematogenous septic arthritis". The main objective of the research is to identify the decision-making factors when buying premium beef in Campo Grande - MS, with the aim of analyzing the premium consumer market in the beef production chain, so that those involved in the production process have a new vision of their consumers, broad knowledge on the subject and identification of the factors that influence purchasing decisions, so that they can promote strategies aimed at expanding their operations in the premium market. Brazil is one of the world's largest beef producing countries, 80% of which is consumed domestically and the trend is for this consumption to increase. In view of the rise of class C, increased consumer demand for quality beef, and the challenge of decommoditizing and producing meat with differentiation and added value, it is necessary to understand the factors that influence consumer purchases, especially those in niche markets, such as premium beef, especially in Brazil's top producing states such as Mato Grosso do Sul - MS.

Cholera is a serious, contagious intestinal toxic infection caused by the enterotoxin of V. cholerae serogroups O1 and O139 associated with major epidemics. This is a public health emergency. The various interventions implemented do not make it possible to control the disease. The surveillance system has been of little use because it does not fully contribute to the prevention and control of negative health-related events. Biological research should not only be limited to the human part. Ignoring the value of environmental monitoring will hinder the elimination of cholera and prevent the benefits of these services from increasing where the need is greatest. Indeed, the systematic determination of cholera sanctuary areas could be an essential approach to the establishment of effective and efficient cholera control programs. To effectively combat cholera, it is imperative to set up a surveillance system that takes into account aspects of One Health, given that vibrio cholerae behaves differently in inter-epidemic and epidemic periods.

Bullying is a serious problem that affects countless students in elementary, middle and higher education. This problem has serious repercussions not only for those who suffer it, but also affects the physical and mental well-being of aggressors and witnesses of mistreatment, the sequelae produced by having exercised or witnessed violence or harassment towards any of their peers, sometimes last into adulthood. The study of school bullying is relatively new, beginning with the observations of Dan Olweus (1973), who noticed that some of his students were assaulted by one or more of their classmates. As a result of these observations, the study of school violence and bullying began first in European countries and then spread to Latin America. Most of the studies had focused mainly on elementary school students, because it was believed that only in this group the mistreatment among peers occurred, in more recent investigations have included young people of higher and superior level finding high figures of violence and harassment in them.

The book aims to make visible the results of a qualitative research about the experiences of discrimination against transgender people in Chile, from a human rights perspective, as an ethical horizon of the discipline of Social Work. From a constructionist and queer epistemological approach, central elements of feminist theory are articulated to understand the effects of social contempt suffered by trans people, pointing out those public spaces where violence towards them is more intense. This allows us to arrive at disciplinary reflections that resituate the notion of recognition and human dignity for the development of social interventions.

This work examines how often overlooked factors such as temperature, concentrations and mixing techniques play a crucial role in scientific advances, bridging the gap between theory and practice. It first looks at the thermal behavior of sodium bicarbonate, citric acid and their mixtures, used in the foam industry, using TGA-DSC. It then explores the creation of blends with low-density polyethylene at different concentrations, aiming to determine the optimum combinations to produce new blends and to study their physico-chemical properties. The results indicate that sodium bicarbonate releases more gas, increasing the diameter by up to 60% with 2pcr and up to 30% with 1pcr citric acid. Mixtures based on optimal concentrations, such as 60/40 and 50/50, showed significant synergy, leading to denser, finer and more regular cells.

This book aims to comment on the experiences of a research process that was developed in the city of Popayán in the department of Cauca in Colombia, in one of the areas of highest risk of social vulnerability in the city, this research process was carried out in order to understand the processes of coexistence that occurred in the seventh grades of an educational institution located in this area, a sector that is increasingly affected by the rates of violence, drug addiction, invisible borders, gangs, and so on. Showing the influence of the context on the coexistence practices that young students develop within the educational institution. Although it shows a problem, it also makes a reflection and a call to the institutions and teachers to show interest in the subject of school coexistence, visualising that this is becoming more and more one of the most frequent problems in the school environment.

All these works show the intrinsic relationship of the subjects included as "Basic sciences in Engineering, in the case of the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, in the four Engineering subjects taught at the Bachelor's level: Civil, Physics, Mechatronics and Renewable Energies. These activities allow the university student to integrate the knowledge learned. All these works seek to mathematize chemistry, which is fundamental in the learning of engineering, since the student finds meaning in the subjects he is learning, for example calculus, algebra.

Eco-fan is an electric motor of 220 (VAC), 50 (Hz), PMSM type (with ferrite magnet rotor). According to the IRAM 62480:2017 Standard, an Energy Efficiency (EE) Type: A. With an energy consumption lower than 55% of the nominal value of the motor. Value calculated for one (1) hour per day at maximum power: 25 (Watts). 59% active electrical energy saving. The physical unit of physical measurement (MKS) shows an energy consumption of 15 kWh/month (kiloWatt-hours/month), at maximum speed, without losing or lowering revolutions per minute (close to 3000 RPM), which is the synchronous speed of the two (2) pole rotor with the frequency of the alternating current (50 Hertz). PMSM type motors (like the one used here) provide rotation at a fixed speed in synchronicity with the frequency of the power supply, regardless of the load fluctuation (higher or lower) that produces the resistant torque. The voltage (Volts) and current (Amps) of the current drops when the TRIAC acts; and anyway, the motor runs at a synchronous speed (3000 RPM) with mains frequency (50 Hz).

Proxmox is an open source server virtualisation environment, with no limits on its use. Its Debian-based kernel allows the deployment and management of virtual machines and containers without operating system incompatibility. It can be installed on any number of "physical servers". One of the most relevant features in the latest versions of Proxmox is the creation of clusters when there are at least 2 physical servers with this environment installed. The high availability is an advantage for system or network administrators, as it allows Proxmox to be programmed to respond to any failure and not affect the network services offered in the company. How to install Proxmox in its version 5.1, the creation of the cluster with 3 physical servers, the installation of external storage (NFS), creating the high availability (HA) and the programming of the same will be addressed in this work.

It is aimed not only at Africans wishing to return to their countries of origin, but also at any type of entrepreneur looking for an effective and comprehensive method of managing an ambitious economic project.Participating in the economic and social development of my home town has always been a dream for me as a Senegalese from the diaspora. Giving meaning to individual entrepreneurship is, in my view, a matter of education, designed to awaken people's consciences and give them the means to take charge of their own lives. The experience I have acquired throughout my professional life has convinced me that the awakening I am talking about must necessarily be directed towards the search for solutions internal to Africa, and not towards solutions transposed from completely different and anachronistic external realities.

The book "In-service teacher training and the collaborative regime: the Articulated Action Plan (PAR) and municipal education management" presents some of the results of the research and master's thesis I defended at PPGECC/UERJ in 2016, under the supervision of Dr Sônia Regina Mendes dos Santos. The study investigated teacher training through the programmes established by the collaboration regime between the Federal Government and the federated entities from the perspective of their contribution to meeting local needs in the training policies developed in the municipalities.

The creation of educational videos serves as a reinforcement to the learning of multiplication for children. Due to the lack of educational videos on this topic, videos were designed with the stop motion technique, in order to have didactic material to support the classes given by teachers. The results obtained allow us to determine that the use of educational videos with the stop motion technique serve as a support to the teacher's work, since students can reinforce their learning in a more dynamic way, on the other hand, teachers consider that the implementation of ICT in the educational field is necessary to improve the quality of education in the country.

Bacteria capable of solubilizing phosphates (BSP) play an important role in improving phosphorus availability to plants by releasing inorganic and organic phosphorus from the soil through solubilization and mineralization. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the density and phosphate solubilizing capacity of bacteria in different types of soil in Madagascar. The results showed that, among the soils studied, the soil influenced by the invasive plant, Grevillea banksii, had the highest number of BSP (58%), followed by the soil under the medicinal plant, Momordica charantia (35%) and bare soil (5%). Thus, the best-performing isolates were obtained from the rhizosphere of soil influenced by G. banksii, representing a halo diameter of around 6mm, a phosphate solubilization index of up to 3, a solubilized phosphate quantity of over 5.08 mg/l and a pH value of around 4.36. This study has enabled us to select high-performance bacteria in terms of their ability to solubilize soil phosphates, bacteria that could be used as biofertilizers in agricultural systems.
