The educational requirements of the nation point to the need to generate proposals that link education with the productive sector. This has been a permanent desiderata of the Venezuelan society, even before the appearance of oil with all the emotional charge that this has represented for our culture as citizens and as a country. This search exceeds in form and essence the traditional partisan speeches, issued by any of the sectors fighting for power in Venezuela throughout our republican history. There is an urgent need for a real political proposal in the field of education that revalues our work culture. Along with this, discipline, honesty, sense of achievement, always present in our Venezuelan being. In addition to the conviction that helps us to believe in ourselves, in our capabilities and potential as a country that generates not only material wealth, mining or income, but also wealth derived from responsible work.

This book defines the common vocabulary of research and addresses step by step each point of the research from sampling to data analysis without forgetting the constitution of the bibliography but also the oral communication. In its second part, it discusses the organization of the health system in the Democratic Republic of Congo to enable physicians to understand the system in which they practice medicine.

This work presents the development of a prototype micro-wave oscillator with fixed frequency, around 3 GHz, with microstrip lines, using high frequency and low noise bipolar transistor, through the Swaves oscillator with fixed frequency, around 3 GHz, with microstrip lines, using high frequency and low noise bipolar transistor, through the S scattering parameters, in order to support the practical activities developed in the RF laboratory of the electrical engineering course at IFSUL. Computational tools are used to develop the equations for the conversion of the scattering parameters, the impedance matching calculations, the making of the microstrip lines and the transistor biasing. Finally, two prototypes are built and the results presented. The prototypes worked properly, highlighting the one designed with the aid of a computational tool.

The present book entitled "Mozambican Herpetofauna - Art and Work of Biodiversity ", follows from having participated in the Gorongosa Advanced Seminar at Chitengo camp in Gorongosa National Park, organized by the Edward O. Wilson Biodiversity Laboratory, held between November 13 and 18, 2017, led by German herpetologist Dr. Mark Oliver-Rodel. In the book 75 species of amphibians and 197 species of reptiles were systematized, grouped into their families and genus. The book presents scientific names with photographs of almost all systematized amphibians and reptiles, illustrative figures and tables. The book presents 5 chapters and a glossary appendix of herpetology, namely, introduction to herpetology; anatomy and physiology of amphibians; biodiversity of Mozambican amphibians; anatomy and physiology of reptiles; and biodiversity of Mozambican reptiles.

Thermal degradation of plastic waste in an inert atmosphere is considered to be an efficient method of waste recovery, as this process is capable of converting plastic waste into hydrocarbons that can be used either as fuels or as a source of chemicals. In this work, low density polyethylene (LDPE) was chosen as the material for the pyrolysis process, characterized by MIF, DSC and ATG, and a simple semi-closed reactor was constructed and used for pyrolysis at a temperature above 350C. FTIR analysis of the pyrolytic oil resulting from LDPE pyrolysis shows the existence of hydrocarbons in the form of alkanes and alkenes. Simulation of the thermal degradation process of plastic waste with the HYSYS simulator shows that the products obtained can be separated into different fractions (LPG, NAPHTAS, KEROSENE, HGO).

Arthur de Gobineau, French diplomat, sculptor and writer, was one of the most talented letter writers of the 19th century. He left us a rich correspondence with personalities from all over Europe, distinguished in literature and the arts. From this ocean of letters, sent from all the places where the hazards of his career took him, stands out a series of 290 missives addressed to two Athenian women belonging to a family that has played an important role in the political and cultural life of Greece since its constitution as a free state until today. These letters are a vivid and direct testimony of the very important events, which marked the history of both countries. They reveal, moreover, an unpublished aspect of the author of the Essay on the inequality of human races, often accused of racism. We discover a feminist before the letter: he advocates the education of girls and declares without ambiguity that women have exactly the same qualities as men; only women of value interest him, while he constantly stimulates his friends to cultivate their talents, because, in his eyes, work and creation give life its true meaning.

This book addresses the question of symbolic efficacy in the Eucharistic celebration, seen as a mode of expression and an act of communication. By explaining the meaning of symbol, liturgy and the spectacular phenomenon as language, the author invites us to grasp these concepts in their illocutionary, symbolic and performative aspects. From this point of view, liturgy is fundamentally action and expression. To evoke the liturgical act as language is to note its poetic allure, its dramatic function, but also its relationship to truth. It is thus a question of raising the reasoned intuition of its specific role in the act that it produces. Connected to the theater and to the rites, of which we know that they do not have only the language of the words, we recognize him other types of languages, which allow him to give sense. In both dramatic and liturgical expression, there is a power of meaning, which at the same time has the power to suggest it, if not to give it meaning outright. Having the capacity to make a situation understood, the dramatic and liturgical show that their specificity and their strength rest on a double logic: verbal and non-verbal.

Two objectives will guide this research. First, to identify the practices and highlight the difficulties in oral expression that any student may encounter at the beginning and even during his or her learning of French in a university context. For a student, expressing himself or herself orally and taking risks with a language that he or she has not mastered is not so easy to achieve. The difficulties are there, and the challenge is to better understand what actually happens during the oral expression of a beginning student. It is in this perspective that we are interested in oral expression in particular, given the impact it can have on the student's current and future life. Developing this skill means regaining self-confidence and delivering the word with ease. Secondly, to highlight the interest of teaching oral expression as a separate discipline, during which students will have every opportunity to take language initiatives to free themselves from their constraints, in order to express themselves and to listen to themselves, in order to develop their reflective and autonomous expressive skills.

This study identifies the determinants of aggressive behavior among video game-addicted adolescents in the Kuwait neighborhood of Yopougon. The analysis shows that the expression of aggressive behaviors in these adolescents depends on a set of environmental factors stimulated by the game. The aggressive behaviors expressed by adolescents addicted to video games occur under the influence of stress, anger, but also as a result of the pressure exerted by the social environment on the player. The study thus highlights the influence of the types of games, the values of the bets and the use of psychoactive substances on the expression of aggressive behavior. It also presents the diverted profile of aggressive behaviour. Furthermore, it refers to the examination and interpretation of both quantitative and qualitative observations that uncovered the underlying explanations and modes of interrelationship between, on the one hand, the demands of video game use and psychological experience and, on the other hand, these demands and the socio-cultural constraints in the Kuwait neighborhood.

The clinic of suicidal and suicidal adolescents leads me to consider their destructive acts as staging a subjective disappearance and a desperate struggle for existence. As I mentioned in my theoretical part, it is possible to evoke a narcissistic collapse as a trigger for the violent act, which then represents a proof of existence and not the result of a psychic construction, hence its aggressive drive aspect. Such acts are not situated in the register of the transgression of the Law or of a challenge to the surmoid limits, but come to dislodge the Other in order to destroy him. Attesting to a failure of the imaginary, the suicidal act comes from the field of primary narcissism and archaic jouissance. However, this psychotherapeutic process as well as my research work offered me the possibility of renewing my links with distressed adolescence, asking to be listened to, recognized in society and in its singularity, something that nourishes my enthusiasm and my love for research and investigation of the adolescent universe.

Image compression allows the memory capacity of an image to be reduced so that it can be sent via a computer network or carried on a storage medium. This reduction in memory capacity must not significantly deteriorate the quality of the compressed image. The DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) method is based on the Fourier transform. The image processing (compression) discussed in this book is based on a program written in MATLAB. To check the quality of the compression of the image, a decompression of the image is called by evaluating the rate of deterioration of its quality. The image is recovered but with a certain percentage of deterioration compared to its initial state. The compression work in this book is done on images of different sizes (Pizza and Cameraman images). The images processed by this program are JPG format images with a square matrix shape and they are displayed in grey level. In the future, we will extend this program to compress the images in colour and in a rectangular shape with a better quality.

Field surveys conducted in 2010 in the peri-urban neighborhoods of Bangui, particularly Cattin - Plateau and Kokoro - Boeing, revealed that more than 80% of the people represented in the two neighborhoods do not have access to drinking water through the network of the Central African Water Distribution Company, SODECA for short. This situation is worrying in these peri-urban neighborhoods, which are dominated by informal settlements. Indeed, these neighborhoods should benefit from the SODECA water supply network instead of hydraulic solutions, but unfortunately they are poorly served with drinking water. They are traditionally implemented, despite their unsuitability and the very poor quality of the water that is associated. This situation exposes these populations to pathogenic risks, particularly diarrhea, especially among children under five years of age.

This work is part of the deepening and understanding of the social and solidarity economy, which is often overlooked despite its importance in the daily lives of vulnerable families. Countries like Burkina Faso are known for the development of local development initiatives through the social and solidarity economy. This study allowed us to identify the functioning of the different associations, through their description, the analysis of their strengths and weaknesses, which led to the formulation of recommendations to promote a democratic functioning, because it must be recognized that most of them function as traditional chiefdoms. This study has allowed us to know the social and solidarity economy drained by the associations, but which, unfortunately, is poorly known or neglected. A good functioning of these enterprises will allow for a harmonious development of vulnerable populations, which are generally the target of these enterprises.

In Burkina Faso, the issue of training and integration of young people in agricultural occupations is at the crossroads of three key issues: youth employment, agricultural succession, and improving agricultural performance. However, history has shown that very few young people leaving training centers enter the agricultural sector. The present research, which is based on the training center in the town of Silly, confirms this observation and identifies three explanatory factors: recruitment that does not take into account the vocation of young people, a training system that is not very open to the socio-professional context, old teaching methods that are not very focused on the integration capacities of young people, and the low level of responsibility of young people and their families in the integration process. Our engineering offer places young people at the heart of the system. It is a question of co-constructing with the actors: a recruitment mechanism that takes into account the vocation of the young people, pedagogical approaches that develop the autonomy and the power to act of the young people and opens them to the socio-professional world, an insertion approach that gives responsibility to the young people and their families.

In this first volume you will find part of the introduction to Operations Research, where a first part of its history, definitions and various authors, theory, types of models, their applications, as well as the characteristics of a linear equation and its relationship with linear programming will be addressed. We will explore the development of several methods for the solution of a system of linear equations, such as the method of Addition and Subtraction, Substitution, Equalization, Cramer's Rule, Gaussian Elimination (Gauss-Jordan) and Upright, which will help to find the solution of two linear equations, which represent the intercept of these equations in the Graphical method, as well as the Simplex method for maximizing problems, and likewise the Double Phase method for minimizing problems, both methods for the development of mathematical models containing more than two variables. And finally an annex with a series of exercises as proposals to be solved.

Das vorliegende Buch mit dem Titel "Mozambican Herpetofauna - Art and Work of Biodiversity" ist das Ergebnis der Teilnahme am Gorongosa Advanced Seminar im Chitengo Camp im Gorongosa Nationalpark, das vom Edward O. Wilson Biodiversity Laboratory vom 13. bis 18. November 2017 unter der Leitung des deutschen Herpetologen Dr. Mark Oliver-Rodel veranstaltet wurde. In dem Buch wurden 75 Amphibienarten und 197 Reptilienarten systematisiert und in ihre Familien und Gattungen eingeteilt. Das Buch enthält wissenschaftliche Namen mit Fotos von fast allen systematisierten Amphibien und Reptilien sowie illustrative Abbildungen und Tabellen. Das Buch enthält 5 Kapitel und einen Glossaranhang zur Herpetologie, nämlich: Einführung in die Herpetologie; Anatomie und Physiologie der Amphibien; Artenvielfalt der mosambikanischen Amphibien; Anatomie und Physiologie der Reptilien; Artenvielfalt der mosambikanischen Reptilien.

A young adult, who has emerged from a sectarian hold because of his strength of character, must follow a process of learning the codes of the outside world while having to deal with the psychological and psychological after-effects. Thanks to music, which is his passion, he finds the strength to follow his path towards a normal life on which he is struggling to find himself. Driven by the curiosity to discover this world that was once forbidden to him, he seeks his identity. However, with this journey both inside and outside, he loses himself on this path because of the cold anger that drives him against his past. Moreover, this step separates him from his mother who is sinking in this hold. He then understands that he can only count on himself to get out of it and that only his will will allow him to protect himself from the abuse of which he was victim. His solitary revolt against his past will allow him to forge himself.

This collection is a reflection of Cameroonian society or elsewhere, but also the story of everyday life according to the author's realities. It is a work that reveals her way of seeing things around and outside her. With humor, she paints society with its good and bad sides, with habits that sometimes human beings embrace without having any. As she herself says in the title, this is the world under her pen.

The main theme of this research is problem solving and the study of graphs, combined with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as facilitating tools during the classroom work. The subjects involved are first-year technical high school students, who performed, in the classroom and in the computer lab, a didactic sequence developed by the teacher-researcher in order to investigate the contributions of the Teaching-Learning-Assessment (TEAE) methodology of mathematics through problem solving, aiming to introduce the concept of function, from its graphs. The instruments used were online questionnaires and the students' own resolutions, prepared with pencil and paper, and later with the help of spreadsheets. Reports and observations, which occurred during the development of the methodology used, also contributed to the analysis and interpretation of the results obtained. In the conclusion of this work it was possible to notice that the students identify and participate in innovative classes that make use of ICT.

Sexual or gender-based violence? This question, far from being a play on words, is at the heart of this book, which attempts to reframe the issue of sexual violence, which is often misunderstood and poorly addressed. Studies often emphasize the sex dimension to the neglect of the masculinity aspect, i.e. the gender dimension. Often the woman is the victim and the man the executioner, whereas the man is both perpetrator and victim. By proposing the expression "gender-based violence", we want to put the man back in his role of victim, he also suffers violence from women, and we want to highlight the other aspects of sexual violence besides the sexual aspect which is often addressed and treated. The reflection opens a horizon by the notion of the culture of peace, which is nothing but the culture of life and non-violence. This book is intended for everyone to reduce the rate of violence related to sex, but more, to students, for scientific research, NGOs and organizations of human rights and protection of women against violence against women will find gray matter.

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a set of management practices aimed at improving cross-functional communication, while enforcing the company's organisational structure. We note that competences have been at the heart of HR for some years now. This is in order to satisfy the customer as much as possible and thus to build loyalty. In order to do this, companies rely on human capital as well as on management and leadership. The aim of this work is to identify the impact of certain HR practices on the process of building types of management. How do managers react when they have to use certain HR practices in their work? Does participating in or leading a recruitment process cause the head of department to change or adopt a new way of interacting with his or her staff or the candidates in front of him or her? Does the same apply to mid-year or end-of-year appraisals or to staff training?

Moral harassment of working women is a harmful phenomenon whose impact has been underestimated until now. It seems to be neglected or little considered in comparison with sexual harassment, even though it has destructive effects on the psychological and physical health of workers in general and women workers in particular. It is widespread and of concern in the workplace because it causes many harms to victims, especially in terms of health, workflow and organizational performance. Unfortunately, knowledge on its current state in the D.R.Congo in general, and within the University of Kinshasa which is full of scientists in particular, is limited. Faced with these significant challenges, this book offers employees, employers, readers, researchers and scientists, clear information on the existence of mobbing at work, its perpetrators, its forms, its discriminatory techniques, its consequences and strategies to fight to end or reduce this harmful phenomenon that spares no one in order to promote well being at work.

To the refrain of miserable pensioners, echo young people disoriented by insecurity, unemployment, floods, inflation, the prison system, demagogy and mismanagement. They turn to banditry and illegal immigration with the threat of red tape, smugglers, terrorism and new forms of slavery. This original work is also about love, myths and hope through the salutary initiatives of characters who think that the land of milk and honey is an illusion of the topos. Everyone can make it their own.

In this book we report the experience of prison guards in a maximum security prison complex. We analyze elements that characterize a framework of evidence of phronesis, described in Aristotelian philosophy as the virtue of practical order that presupposes deliberation in critical situations, where agents' rationality is limited by very specific contexts of action. The notion of phronesis illuminates new perspectives for understanding rationality in contingent circumstances of organizational praxis. This is an investigation undertaken from a microsociological analysis of agents' practices in prison work, based on interviews, field observation, and document analysis. The results of this study illustrate evidence of phronesis from the analysis of the agents' experience in containing the actions of organized crime inside the prison complex and the effects produced in the management based on this experience.

The objective of this study was to monitor the dynamics of carbon mineralization in a soil from Kinshasa (Kimwenza) and Central Congo (Kasangulu) fertilized with chicken and pig manure under laboratory conditions. Specifically, the aim is to quantify and compare the respiratory activity of the fertilized soils. These two organic materials were added at a rate of 2 gMS/30g of soil (i.e. 0.6% of the soil mass). These treatments are compared to samples of two soils without fertilization. Incubation under controlled conditions was performed for 15 days. Carbon production (C-CO2) is measured periodically (days 0, 3, 7, 11 and 15). Regarding the mineralization of both manures, no significant difference in respiratory flux was observed between the two soils. In both cases, the average C-CO2 values were: 2157.8 ppm, 1542.01 ppm and 575.9 ppm respectively for the control, pig and chicken manures for Kimwenza soil. For the Kasangulu soil, the mean values were 2414.7 ppm for the control, 1798.5 ppm for the pig manure and 592.3 ppm for the chicken manure.

This book presents the danger of floods in the city-province of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in particular in the downstream part of the N'djili watershed. It presents in a more or less precise way the distribution of hazards during extreme floods. With the phenomenon of climate change, floods will surely be experienced daily during rainy seasons.

Organization of developing educational space as a factor in a child's readiness for school. The presented monograph deals with the organization of developing educational space in a preschool educational institution, which requires the use of such methodological approaches that ensure its organizational integrity, allow you to study aspects of personality formation of a preschool child, the level of its readiness for school. It should also be emphasized that the purpose of the study lies in the theoretical development and experimental testing of individual and differentiated model of developing educational space of preschool educational institution and a set of organizational and pedagogical conditions that ensure the formation of key competencies of preschool children.

This book tells the story of Jean Pierre Jouret, a colonial administrator who lived in Togo from 1920 to 1934. The study of his life and his career allows us to understand an important period of the French colonization in Africa and in Togo in particular. The presence of our character gives a critical and crossed glance on the functioning of the French administration in the colonies of Africa but also sheds light on the various relations established and maintained or not between the colonial administrators and the Togolese women. These mixed relationships open the way to the problem of miscegenation and crossbreeding in a colonial situation, which generates identity problems for the children of these unions during colonization and after independence. The objective of this book is to understand one of the realities of colonization in the construction of an identity.
