The parotid location is the most frequent tumor of the salivary glands. It is characterized by an important histological diversity. Discrimination between a benign and a malignant mass is necessary to plan the subsequent management. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive examination that has a prominent place in the diagnostic approach. The objective of our work was to correlate the MRI appearance of parotid tumors with their histological type.

In many African societies, "to be an adult is above all to be married, to be a mother, to be a father (...) so initiation is largely a preparation for marriage. The duties of the wife are explained and specified to the girls, the sense of paternal responsibilities is inculcated in the boys" (Maquet, 1967: 68-70). The initiation into the demands of married life represents the high point of adult life when the statutes and symbols of marriage are transmitted. Strong recommendations are made using proverbs to promote marriage and customs. The importance of learning how to behave in society, in the couple and with the in-laws is a guarantee of marital harmony and development. Men and women must listen to their elders, because the future conduct of the household, the children and the relationship with the family network will depend on the advice given.

The sexuality of elderly subjects has become, more and more, a topical subject because of the increase in life expectancy with conservation of physical and mental capacities. However, few studies have been devoted to it in the world and particularly in Tunisia. This is mainly due to the taboo nature of the subject and its archaic representations in society. The intertwining of these elements has led to an underestimation of sexual dysfunctions in seniors as well as a lack of knowledge of the main obstacles to a fulfilled sexuality. The aims of this study were to investigate sexuality in older men, to determine the different aspects of sexual dysfunction in this population and to identify the main risk factors, and finally to assess the impact of sexual disorders on marital life.

The African catfish Clarias gariepinus is the most common species raised in African fish farming. In association or in monoculture, it is considered as a future fish for farming thanks to its hardiness, its omnivorous diet, its fast growth and its highly appreciated flesh. In Cameroon, the same strain of this catfish is very often used for several generations for reproduction. However, in fish farming, the prolonged use of the same strain can lead to inbreeding and consequently to the genetic degeneration of the population which can deeply affect the fish farming yields. In order to face such a situation, the genetic heritage of fish strains can be renewed through the evaluation and use of wild strains of fish with fish farming potential. Therefore, the general objective of the present work is to identify wild strains of Clarias gariepinus that can contribute to the diversification of the breeding germplasm. In this study, positive values of survival and growth heterosis were obtained for the tested strains.

The purpose of industrial electrical networks is to supply industrial equipment such as electric motors, lighting and various production machines, etc. They are made up of a large number of lines, cables and electrical delivery stations, as well as protection, control and sectioning devices. At the beginning of this course, we will find it useful to define the different abbreviations and symbols to help read the different diagrams. Then, we will expose the different architectures of the industrial electrical networks. Then, we will present the different disturbances and neutral regimes in an industrial electrical network. End this course with a study of the dimensioning of the different components of this network such as the section of the conductors, the size of the circuit breakers and the power of the transformers used.

The Evangelical Development Agency of Mali is a national NGO under Malian law which, like other large NGOs, contributes to the development of Mali in the fields of education, food security, and the supervision of solidarity groups, village savings... Intervening in the circle of Koro, in the region of Mopti, it has been able to make the rural world its hobbyhorse and its preferred target. Like any serious organization wishing to be more efficient in order to bring a consequent answer to the concerns of its target population, it accepted under our advice this diagnosis that we had the honor to carry out in our capacity of Technical Assistant of the NGO. Like all other Malian NGOs, it is plagued by organizational and logistical problems and weak staff capacities, but this does not prevent it from achieving the expected results. Our findings based on direct observation and surveys have enabled us to detect the weaknesses and shortcomings of the NGO, but also its strengths and assets, and finally to propose recommendations to give it a new dynamic.

This book is the result of numerous analytical works carried out in connection with the very rich geology of the Massif Central (France). It aims to determine the nature and origin of certain rocks discovered in nature and presenting aspects or colors not explained to date. Particular attention was paid to the genesis of the aetites also called "Stones of eagles". This work also retraces the expertise of materials from ancient constructions (Roman period). The aim was to determine the types of building materials used and their origins. The results of the analysis of the rocks and minerals found in the environment of a mammoth skull allowed to better understand its presence in the sediments. The analyses of the minerals were performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The first part of this book will give the theoretical and technical bases of this type of analysis.

Improving the quality of care in family planning services is a factor that could increase contraceptive prevalence and decrease the level of unmet need, maternal and infant deaths. In Togo, the Community-Based Contraceptive Distribution project in the Blitta district has brought FP services closer to the beneficiaries. This project has already been quantitatively evaluated in terms of the effectiveness and competence of the CHWs. This justifies our qualitative study. According to the results, CHWs often do not have a place dedicated to offering services, which for some leads to a lack of confidentiality. The breakage of contraceptives led to a feeling of dissatisfaction and regret among beneficiaries. Although CHWs have not received supervision and ongoing training in the past 24 months, they perform the counseling and injection steps competently. Some CHWs do not educate about side effects and whether or not certain methods are protective against STIs and HIV/AIDS.

This work in three volumes is an extract of the thesis defended in December 2009 at the UAG on the different childhood stories of the chosen authors. The jury awarded the mention "Very Honorable" with this appreciation: "One can only be sensitive to the work presented by Mr. CHRISTON whose writing clarity, firmness of composition and, in general, the very great seriousness, the taste for the archive, the document, in a spirit close to literary history as it is currently practiced. This first volume corresponds to the first section of the thesis. It is composed of biographies of the main authors of the corpus, followed by an analytical study of their main works in "I", "you" or "he" over two historical periods: the Inter-War period, from 1911 to 1928, and a period of change, from 1945 to 1965. The three volumes will include the same introductory chapters, as well as the bibliography. The delimited corpus of the thesis gathers seven texts of three generations of Guadeloupean and Martiniquean novelists. On the existence of a French-speaking Caribbean autobiography? No precise answer is given.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, banana cultivation is ranked third after manihot esculenta and zea mays. For years, its cultivation has been subject to attacks of cercosporiose, which has undoubtedly led to the use of pesticides. A study was undertaken at the plant clinic laboratory to evaluate the antifungal efficacy of the plants on the growth of mycosphaerela fijiensis, the causal agent of black stripe disease. The results of this study revealed that the radial growth of mycosphaerella fijiensis is affected by the incorporated plant extracts. Its growth varied from 0.1 to 4 cm in diameter at the incorporated amounts of 0.5 and 1g for all three plant species, while at 2g, the growth of the agent stopped at 0.4cm for Azadirachta indica, 2cm for Ricinus communis and zero growth for Zingiber officinale.

Schizophrenia is a serious, chronic and complex mental disorder. Civic engagement in our countries is subject to several factors of societal life, where we too often see public officials serving as models. Many of the ills that plague Africa today are rooted in this behaviour. This booklet therefore reinforces the vision of a society where citizens participate effectively in building a strong nation or state.

Somatic illnesses, especially neurological ones, increase the risk of psychiatric complications. These are most often anxiety-depressive complications, which are not always diagnosed. This lack of recognition is due, among other things, to the fact that the practitioner may consider depression as a "normal" reaction to the neurological disease. Diagnostic erraticism is all the more important because the "symptomatic overlap" between neurological pathologies and depression is common. Anorexia, weight loss, insomnia, etc. can be observed in neurological disorders as well as in most depressive states. However, the diagnosis of depression and its treatment allow the improvement of the patient's quality of life, decrease the suicidal act and could even influence the prognosis of the neurological pathology.

The present work reports on the social situation of Makora, which is located in Kango (Gabon). It is based on the impact of mining activities in the region on the indigenous populations. Some questions summarize the present work, namely: what contribution does the mining operator make to the way of life of the population? what benefits do the populations derive from the establishment of these extractive structures? The answers to these questions were the focus of this final year project.

Migration is in the news more and more every day because of its unfortunately fatal effects on life and health. Its consequences on economic, socio-demographic and health ecosystems are sometimes disastrous for countries that are ill-prepared to face human inflation. "Communication and Health Issues in Migration" is a collection of publications analyzing the place of health in the communication systems of migration. Migration health issues and their discursive use are thus deciphered in the light of multidimensional levers; capital for communicational reconfigurations, whether organizational, interpersonal or media.

This book is the result of a research with interest in identifying the existing narratives about the city of Goiânia, through literature and periodicals produced in the city in its early years. In contact with these sources, it was possible to find two important typologies of writing, one utopian and the other realistic. Narrative typologies that in turn constructed multiple images of the city. At the end, we present to the reader which unfoldings, implications and consequences these different narratives were able to produce, especially regarding the construction of a historical consciousness.

Studies on people's attitudes and behaviour towards the environment in the context of tourism in general and nature tourism in particular have become very important in recent years. However, few researchers have investigated the link between environmental attitudes towards nature and their motivation to travel. In our study, we try to clarify the nature of the environmental attitude-motivation relationship. In order to collect the necessary data for the present study, the Kuriat Islands, located in the East-North-East of Monastir - Tunisia covering about 100 ha, was chosen as the field of application. In order to shed more light on the links that can be established between environmental attitudes and travel motivations to Kuriat Islands, we interviewed 154 participants through the mobilisation of the revised New Ecological Paradigm scale. Initial results indicated that the overwhelming majority of respondents have more committed attitudes towards the environment.

Terrorism has regained its vitality in the Lake Chad region, multiplying deadly incursions, suicide bombings, looting of property and hostage-taking. In this changing world, a massive, mutant, asymmetrical, hybrid and Islamized terrorism has gradually taken root: the radical Islamist threat, illustrated in particular by the Al-Qaeda nebula, the figurehead of jihadism, is now competing with recently created African groups such as Boko Haram. This transnational phenomenon, which is now at the heart of the socio-political life of the countries that make up the LCBC, is of concern in many ways. Thus, the establishment of the MMF, as an interregional coalition, is the best instrument for fighting hybrid warfare in this part of Africa.

Our book highlights the different classes of antibiotics known to date and their modes of action and determines the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in bacteria. It focuses essentially on membrane systems such as efflux pumps as the major cause of this resistance and finally, it emphasizes the inhibitors of these pumps as a solution to remedy this phenomenon of great interest.

We will explore the processes and technologies that can pave the way to longevity and human life extension. We will explore current approaches and technologies to combat aging. We will also address all dimensions.

At the end of our work, which consisted of presenting the difficulties faced by customary authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the face of conflicts over customary power. The case of the Maduda sector', far be it from us to claim to have exhausted the immense material relating to our subject, but an effort has been made to reach the end of our investigation. In order to complete this work and arrive at logical constructions, we have, in addition to the introduction, dealt with in the first chapter, analysed the general notions of customary authority in the DRC, its rights and obligations, its organisation and its mission.

Burkina Faso, a Sahelian country with a dry tropical climate, has about 86% of its population living from agriculture. However, the deterioration of climatic conditions is one of the factors that is leading this population to make greater use of forest products, especially non-timber ones. Long neglected, these non-timber forest products now contribute significantly to the well-being of the population and to the national economy in Burkina Faso. This is the case of "soumbala", a product derived from Parkia biglobosa. This spice, which is derived from the fermentation of its seeds, is characterised by small-scale processing with low economic returns, which forces the emergence of a "soumbala sector" structured around quality and environmental standards. The analysis of sustainable economic development of soumbala based on documentation and interviews with resource persons revealed shortcomings in the organisation of the exploitation of Parkia biglobosa and in the process of transforming its seeds into soumbala. In light of this, the value chain, certification and conservation approaches were analysed.

The relevance of this scientific monograph is conditioned by the absence in Russian otorhinolaryngology of guidelines on the tactics of postoperative care of patients with combined nasal cavity pathology. The monograph is intended for clinical residents and doctors of otorhinolaryngology and contains the necessary information about the methods of postoperative management of patients with nasal septum deformation combined with pathology of nasal cavities using salvia medicinalis and St. John's wort. Brief information is given about the therapeutic properties of these medicinal plants and their effectiveness in postoperative therapy of patients with septal deformities combined with nasal cavity hypertrophy.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc), a species of the Zingiberaceae family, is an annual herbaceous plant. It is one of the most important spices in the world. Its importance is food but it is also a crop that generates income for producers. In order to document the endogenous knowledge on the speculation as well as an agromorphological characterization, a survey among producers, sellers of medicinal plants and spices as well as users and tradithérapeute was conducted.Regarding the agromorphological characterization of the species, the data analysis is based on post-harvest data. A total of 09 variables were taken into account, 4 of which were quantitative. The results allowed us to make descriptive statistics and to establish the variation within the quantitative variables. The combination of qualitative and quantitative values resulted in the ascending hierarchical classification of the 29 accessions under study. The dendrogram resulted in 3 groups with different characteristics.

The book discusses in a new perspective the acute economic, social and political problems of social development, especially capitalism and socialism. In the light of universal values, in particular ethics and justice, the flaws of existing social systems, the incompleteness of freedom and democracy with inequality, and the causes of the negatives of life are shown. The future is presented as a transition to post-capitalist and post-socialist society, the domination of non-market, naturally human relations between people, from the era of egoism to the era of altruism, the triumph of truth, the world of love, to a truly human social order, conditionally called "humanism" by the author. Around some fundamental problems of economic theory the book proposes innovative paradigms concerning the place and role of gifted natural and anthropogenic resources in the creation of goods, the ratio of accumulation of wealth and welfare, the productive and consumer forces of society, the transformation of economic goods into social goods, the importance of moderation of consumption for the general welfare, etc. Some objective laws of the socio-economic system are formulated.
