Alfred Loisy lived through the wars of 1870, the First World War and the beginnings of the Second, without having seen peace. This painful experience is reflected in his interest in war and peace efforts in his work, from the Assyrian wars, Homeric to the wars of his time, in which he denounced the spirit of brutality of ancient times contrary to the spirit of brotherhood of the Gospel. However, he admitted just wars against aggressor peoples. Despite his scepticism about the League of Nations and efforts to resolve conflicts through legal arbitration, he advocated beating the drum for humanity.

The offender has a number of rights to a fair trial. These rights are often not known to legal professionals, often due to lack of adequate training. This book aims to educate any lawyer on the rights that a suspect or prosecuted person can enjoy. However, only Malian legislation has been taken into account, even if comparative law is used. We hope that this modest contribution will help to advance legal science on the one hand, and on the other hand to enable further training of legal professionals, even those who are not Malian.

This research will analyse Transnational Corporations and business ethics within a model of construction of the legal rule, seeking to outline a hermeneutic system applicable to this business sector. In this sense, based on the idea that there are both textual gaps and excesses concerning the textual framework applicable to Transnational Corporations, the core of the problem envisioned here will be to verify which hermeneutic sources and criteria can be used in such cases. For this purpose, the research will be divided into three chapters. The first chapter will analyze the public system of business regulation. The second chapter will focus on the private system of business self-regulation. The third and last chapter will verify how the public and private systems are used together with ethics for the construction of the legal rule related to the transnational corporate sector, in order to verify the hermeneutic model in this segment.

The study of indigenous adaptation strategies to climate change around Boumba Bek National Park (East Cameroon) took place from May to October 2014. The overall objective was to contribute to the development of adaptation strategies to climate change through the improvement of knowledge on indigenous strategies (perception on observed changes, their impact and indigenous methods of adaptation). The methodology consisted, on the one hand, of considering temperature and rainfall data over at least 30 years, collected in Yokadouma. On the other hand, simple random sampling was used to select eight villages out of the 22 surrounding the PNBB. 216 people from four ethnic groups (Bakas, Bangando, Nkounabembe and Mvongvong) were interviewed.

The aim of this book is to identify the perception of employees of recruitment agencies regarding the evolution of ethnic discrimination in hiring in France, particularly in certain social contexts (economic crisis, immigration, terrorist attacks). This is linked to their perception of the evolution of the concern for diversity integration on the part of companies within their organisations; and of the evolution of non-discriminatory concerns in the recruitment field since the birth of organisations that fight against discrimination, such as A Compétence Egale (created in 2006). Finally, this book also seeks to understand the measures that can be implemented to reduce ethnic discrimination in recruitment through the assessment that employees of recruitment agencies can give. These various measures are more or less known to help reduce this phenomenon of discrimination in France.

Public policies are important variables in the development of a society. The understanding of public policy, the perception of development and the types of indicators used to assess development have advanced over time, no longer being initially identified by the economic success, moving on to the socioeconomic and, currently, focused on the systemic bias, clothing that incorporates more complex dimensions than the economic and social dimensions. However, there are public policies that still do not adopt these changes, either by government choice, or because they suffer some constraints - such as the institutional weight that can be explained by the theoretical current called historical institutionalism - or other factors. Thus, our objective is to analyse the Paraná Development Policy (2008-2011) from the neoinstitutionalist perspective, understand the context of elaboration of this government policy and recognise the concepts and development indicators used.

Consumer behavior is constantly changing. Banks must therefore adapt to customer demands in order to win their loyalty. Indeed, individuals are more and more individualistic and can therefore decide to change bank as soon as they are dissatisfied with the service offered or as soon as they encounter a difficulty. For banks, it is therefore essential to establish a marketing strategy focusing on customer relations and satisfaction. Since the international financial crisis which had a strong impact on banks and therefore on customers' assets, they are more and more wary of bankers' advice. Most of them prefer to get information online (social networks, websites, forums) or from their relatives. Banks have therefore tried to find solutions in order to satisfy the customers' demands as well as possible. In view of the rapid growth of technologies, the branches have been modernized and now allow to have a constant proximity with the customers in order to advise them through live videos or physically.

This is a documental research of quantitative approach and had as a general objective to evaluate the incidence of contamination of occupational accidents with exposure to biological material in 2016 among professionals in a hospital unit. As specific objectives: To trace the profile of professional categories with the highest number of work accidents coefficient; Characterization of the source patients; Analyze the type of exposure of accidents with biological material; Analyze the evolution of cases of accidents associated with occupational exposure to biological material.

The present book was developed in the State of Amazonas, in the Metropolitan Region of Manaus (RMM), comprised of eight municipalities. The study is characterized as an exploratory and descriptive research in the productive agglomeration of fish farming, composed of 2,797 family producers and 20 business producers. The objective of this study is to verify the characteristics that involve the pisciculture production, and how to potentiate it through the competitiveness model of local productive arrangements, aiming at the increase of its productivity and quality. The research has a qualitative approach and the field analysis occurred in the period from April 2010 to July 2011. The method chosen for the development of the research involved a bibliographic review on local productive arrangements, governance, competitiveness, knowledge management, entrepreneurship, social responsibility and sustainability. Potential bottlenecks in the productive environment were verified and, by means of the application of the SWOT model, the weaknesses, strengths, potentialities and threats involving the sustainability of the productive cluster were verified. The analysis of the specificities allowed the elaboration of a competitiveness model.

Autism is a serious mental illness involving psychological, social, educational and neurobiological aspects. Education has an important role in the rescue, preservation and expansion of cognitive activity of the subject with autism. There are several ways of seeing a person with autism. Through the reading of cases it is also possible to address issues of daily life of the subject with the disease, their cognitive problems and their obstacles of psychosocial engagement, as well as psychological aspects such as acceptance of the disease. Through specialized literature, it is possible to identify aspects related to the learning process and neurobiological components involved in the picture, such as alterations in brain activity and genetic factors. In this book it is intended to characterize cognitive and psychosocial aspects of autism as well as to identify cognitive and neurobiological components of the disease. The methods that were used: Analysis of the books "Singular World: understand Autism" and "Cats never lie about love" for characterization of psychosocial and educational aspects of autism.

The book presents the Social Pedagogy in Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, his pedagogical theory and practice. In order to fulfil such an intent, the research presents a hermeneutic analysis of the concept of Social Pedagogy from the point of view of Pestalozzian pedagogy. The analysis traces the complexity of Social Pedagogy, looking at its historical, political, economic, educational and social context and the importance of Pestalozzi in the process of genesis of social education. In order to characterise such influence, we narrate the trajectory of education in the 18th century, we show the Pestalozzian conception of social education and we demarcate the birth of Social Pedagogy as theory and practice.We conclude that, based on the research carried out, social work/social education/Social Pedagogy are the fruit of Pestalozzian actions to unite education and work, with the aim of improving the living conditions of subjects in society.

It rescues the history of several health professions, starting from their origins and reaching the processes of professionalization, both worldwide and in Brazil. The general objective of the study is to analyze emblematic processes of demarcation of professional boundaries in the health field, which occurred in the last decade in Brazil, one known as "Ato Médico" and another as "Mais Médicos". It presents the current rules of the game of border demarcation. It identifies the players, divided between individual and collective actors involved, as well as the veto players. Identifies the strategies that the actors used in the two episodes in an effort to achieve their goals. It shows the results of the games or demarcation processes in the field of Brazilian health. It conjectures that the liberalisation of professional services, within Mercosur, will face resistance from the Brazilian medical class. It concludes that the demarcations of professional boundaries are imperfect processes, susceptible to classist pressures, that the enlargement of the public sphere in combination with previous studies may present more satisfactory results in relation to the search for a common good.

This research seeks to understand how the "car culture" has directed the urban planning and the structure of cities, so that the individual transport becomes the protagonist, through discussions on sustainable mobility, qualitative and quantitative data surveys and observations carried out in large Latin American cities. The car is more than a means of transport, it is a motorised culture that represents part of the contemporary way of life in which it loses its original proposal, as a means of transport, to become a symbol of social status. Furthermore, the car culture has had repercussions on the organisation of cities, leaving in its accelerated growth, obsolete and inadequate planning, which reflects on the quality of urban life.

With the advance of the organic plant production system, there is interest in the search for new agricultural practices that replace conventional methods of disease control. In view of this, attention has been focused on the use of alternative methods to traditional fungicides, which are efficient with minimum environmental impact and danger to consumers. Secondary compounds present in medicinal plants may play important roles in plant-pathogen interactions, through direct antimicrobial action, or by activating defence mechanisms of plants that are treated with these compounds. The development of research with essential oils or crude extracts, produced from medicinal, aromatic and invasive plants, has indicated the potential to control phytopathogens, both through direct phytoxicity and physiological alterations in the plant. In addition, essential oils have antimicrobial activity against a variety of pathogens and can be used as an alternative control of diseases in agriculture.

Our retrospective and prospective study on the impact of the TURA classification on prognosis and survival in CML was carried out on a sample of 52 patients collected in the clinical haematology department of the Yopougon University Hospital over a 19-year period (1989 to 2008): Concerning the therapeutic response: In terms of haematological response and in a non-significant way, (P = 0,155) we observed a higher number of haematological response for the intermediate prognosis, i.e. 27 cases, against 2 cases for the good prognosis and 9 cases for the bad prognosis. Concerning the outcome: The number of deaths was low but not significantly (p = 0.122) with the TURA classification. We observed 7 cases of death for the intermediate prognosis, 7 cases for the poor prognosis and 0 cases for the good prognosis. Concerning survival, there was a significant difference in terms of median survival in the three groups p = 0.057. Thus, for the good prognosis group, the median survival was 40 months, whereas for the intermediate and poor prognosis groups, the median survival was 40 months.

This book is inspired by the debate on the transformation of public enterprises in the transport sector, including the management of Congolese maritime ports. The exercise of port functions involves very specific aspects resulting from the multitude of actors and the public service dimension that the government and local authorities entrust to port activity. To avoid the decline of the government's role in regulation, management and operations and to give a chance to port reform to be useful, the study proposes: (1) the creation, after adoption of a law, of the National Port Authority which would take charge of the port governance aspects related to land, environment and transactions; (2) to strengthen the instruments of the new governance such as mandates, competences and geographical scope. (3) attach the port authority to the Presidency of the Republic for its proper functioning, (4) thoroughly restructure the SCPT, SCNCC, CVM and RVF, (5) make the proposed new network an alternative to privatisation.

The outbreak of COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 began in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. Acute respiratory complications during SARS-CoV-2 infection were the first focus of interest of the medical community especially in people with comorbidities. Today, post covid has become a worldwide public health problem, with organizations such as Santé Publique France estimating that 30% of patients have this syndrome. In this work, Dr. Rebouh focuses on the sequelae in patients who survived COVID-19, examining the clinical data and exploring the underlying pathological mechanisms. By providing an in-depth analysis of this critical issue, this study contributes to the overall understanding of the effects of COVID-19 on human health, and paves the way for new preventive interventions.

Today, technology invades man's life, often to the point of depriving him of happiness, which justifies the need of the 21st century man for a refuge where he can find his lost happiness. Among these writers, Michel Tournier in Vendredi ou les limbes du Pacifique pushes this fugitive man to an island where he not only finds life, but also begins the search for himself. Thus, as the story progresses, the physical journey takes on another form, that of the inner journey. At the same time, Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio treats the same theme in Désert from his own point of view. What attracts attention in these two works is the fact that the journey is first physical, before turning into an inner quest. Indeed, the characters leave their homes and it is through this physical displacement that their communication with the outside world evolves.

We have seen, historically, the transition from a predominantly sovereign State to one that sought the citizen's point of view. The concern was to protect the citizen from an absolute state power. With the emergence of the first democratic states, the source of power resided in the will of the people, and the movements that culminated in the insertion of health as a fundamental right express the importance of this right to human dignity and citizenship. In this context, the state, in turn, is the guarantor of health and the constitutional text assigns it the commitment to ensure this right and, to ensure that health services are provided in the form of the Constitution and other international standards, the judiciary can (and should) promote the accountability of those who undermine access to health services in a broad manner.

The reduction in the supply of water of good environmental quality has caused signals about the importance of protecting surface and underground water sources. In this sense, the emergence of measures for the command and control of the use of water resources in various parts of the world has forced an important debate, namely: whose responsibility is water governance? In this context, the present work deals with water governance in Brazil, specifically in the São Francisco River basin, and its general objective is to analyze the impact of the application of the National Policy on Water Resources in that basin and its consequent impact on the territory.

The monograph is the first systematic experience of philosophical reflection and culturological analysis of the ideology of Siberian regionalism, most vividly represented in the works of G.N. Potanin and N.M. Yadrintsev. It is shown that the regional idea is immanently characterized by an emphasis on the cultural and educational component. The work defines that the main cultural constants in the cultural philosophy of the oblasts are patriotism as the basic spiritual value, education as a way of transmitting traditions and values, and intellectuals as the main carrier and repeater of cultural values and meanings. It addresses the characteristics that the interviewees look for in the leader and which they consider most important for leadership to be efficient and motivating. It is highlighted that the leader has to be a person who is focused not only on the objectives of the organisation but also has a character that the employees can trust and mirror.

History from 1954 to 1962 lists several social groups that were struggling to experiment their ideas of democracy, and not to let themselves be dominated by a persistent shadow of dictatorship, as well as by external interferences in the country. The social conflicts would arise from the need to escape from alienation and not allow oneself to be dominated: to be an agent and not just a spectator in the face of a process that also affects one. The democratic experience, in this context, is the attempt to bring together theory and practice, action and thought, name and object.

The difficulties experienced by the Senegalese education system in implementing various policies and the relatively low rate of school enrolment (around 60%) are the result of a malaise linked to the secular school and its pedagogy. The encounter of the learner at a young age with different educational systems and their antagonistic pedagogies reflecting the facets of environmental cultures (family, environment, school) deserves an adaptation of the transmission of knowledge and a rethinking of the educational system. Interculturality is the dialectical result of two (or more) cultures and its effects in a particular exchange situation. It is indeed the result of a dynamic balance between the feeling of being oneself and the need to open up to the other (to others) with whom one is in interrelationship. The Senegalese man, steeped in his ambient, environmental culture, socially fulfilled, tolerant, is capable of economic development and adapting to all skies. This second volume deals with interculturality as the basis of an open and modern pedagogy.

The unconscious is not only not a scientific discovery but above all not pathological, it cannot be treated and does not obey any universal therapeutic structure. It is neither personal nor familial nor subjective. It is impersonal, ontological, genealogical and biological. Memory and consciousness are not therapies for him but prejudices, he is grasped scientifically by investigation and individually by intuition and sensitivity, forgetfulness is his strength. The sick man is not the one who remembers nothing but the one who remembers everything, he is the one who has lost everything but his memory. Any external intervention is harmful to him insofar as it involves him and embarks him in manipulations, interactions and projections which are totally foreign to him and sometimes destructive. The unconscious is individual without being subjective, ontological without being of universal structure, it is a non-pathological creative power. Consciousness is only a detail in the unconscious and can serve neither as a revealer nor as a purifier.

One of the first pieces of information we need to understand the literature of the biblical world is precisely the process of production and the meaning of writing. Without it there would be neither literature nor the biblical world, since these exist from the pre-supposed writing. Even our world is unfeasible without writing. Therefore we must bear in mind that the Bible and literature exist because written communication was developed beforehand. And this became so important for humanity that it became a tool for the development of ancient societies and ours, by extension. It is for this and much more that we say that the communication process we call writing can be seen as one of the most important creations of the human being. And it was from the development of writing that the literature of the biblical world became possible. This literature involves not only the biblical people but also their Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Greek and Roman neighbours. And more, the biblical literature is a result of the literature of the peoples that preceded the development of the Israelites.

In France, there is a multitude of companies of all sizes and in all sectors. Given this heterogeneity of the French productive fabric, auditing assignments are governed by a set of laws and professional standards to enable auditors to express their opinion on the regularity, fairness and true and fair view of financial statements. Auditing is a regulated and independent profession that contributes to the quality and transparency of financial and accounting information issued by audited entities. Its missions are based on a legal obligation: it is a service of general interest. This dissertation will be devoted to external auditing, since it is the result of my internship assignment, carried out in a public accounting and auditing firm.

The research seeks to identify and qualify the use of environmental rhetoric applied to the urban space of the city of Rio de Janeiro, on the one hand, by governments and multilateral organizations and, on the other, by NGOs and local social actors. Based on the analysis of the empirical material collected, it was explained what different social actors understand by the same categories and concepts (environment, sustainability, development and environmental justice) within the same historical context. The initial hypothesis that there would be a dichotomy between what were termed "environmentalists of the poor" (Martinez-Alier, 2009), personified by "environmentalism of the Sierra de Misericordia" (SIMAS, 2007), and official environmentalism (government environmentalism) was not sustained. In effect, it was noted that misericordian environmentalism - which at first sight presented itself as being of the poor - was configured, in certain practices, as being the same as that advocated by the government. On the other hand, however, at other times it presents elements that bring it closer to the concept advocated by environmental justice and the entire struggle for equality and guaranteed rights.

They also showed that the poverty of Africans is due to the fact that Africa has an 18th century economy, since it continues to export only raw materials, at prices set by the multinationals.And these prices keep falling, for example, the price of cocoa went from £3 in November 2002 to about £1.5 in 2003, a drop of only 50% in 7 months.As a proof, Africa represented only 1% in the international trade before 2000 and 2% in 2008, it is at 7% today in 2021.Probably because there is no longer any real calculation with regard to Africa, something that no man, whatever his level of understanding, can swallow.

In children with cerebral ischemia hemostasis changes consisted in decreased hemotocrit and hemoglobin levels, increased levels of ACTV and RFMC compared with the control group. The group of premature infants with intracranial hemorrhages of hypoxic genesis of CP CNS revealed increased AChTV, TV, RFMC and FG against the background of decreased hematocrit, hemoglobin and PV, which excludes the local pathological process in hypoxic hemorrhagic lesions of CNS. In children with DIC all baseline tests changed, there was a consumption of coagulation factors, FG and ACTV, increased fibrinolysis compared to the group of children with intracranial hemorrhages of hypoxic genesis of CP CNSDDapathogenetic model of CP CNS development was developedby logistic regression to identify relative risk factors for the development of DIC. The use of this model in the dynamics of the early neonatal period in premature infants can help justify the individual duration of vasopressor and hemostatic therapy to prevent the development of severe CP CNS.
