The question of the environment and economics is a subject that is currently at the center of the most heated discussions of our era. In the economic visions of the past, from the mercantilists to the modern economists, the environmental question had not yet had this prominent place. However, this dimension has taken its place following the awareness of environmental issues. This article attempts to find a conceptual ground that would allow to highlight in a dynamic way the relationship between production and polluting emission that, pragmatically, harms the environmental system. The notions of green taxation and green subsidy, probably new concepts, are at the center of this presentation to bring some thoughts and solutions for the trade-off between production and pollution.

This work, of historiographical nature, aims to describe and contextualize the process of institution of the ecclesiastical cemeteries of São Benedito and Nª Senhora dos Remedios in Caxias-MA. We point out the specificities of the historical period of transition from a society ruled by religiosity to a civil-secular one in the second half of the 19th century based on the perspective of the medical-hygienist discourse of reformulation of the urban space. The information and statistical data, contextualized in a research prosopography, were based on: periodicals, collections of laws and decrees, commitments of the local religious brotherhoods and regulations. Among the readings that conceptually and methodologically grounded the work, which now the reader has the satisfaction of reading, are authors such as: Ariès (2012) "History of death in the West", Le Goff (2017) "The birth of Purgatory"; Vovelle (2010) "Souls in Purgatory"; Rodrigues (1997 and 2005) "Places of the dead in the city of the living" and "On the borders of the beyond: the secularization of death in Rio de Janeiro (18th and 19th centuries)"; Reis (1991) "Death is a party: funeral rites and popular revolt in 19th century Brazil"

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common cause of death worldwide. It is often associated with comorbidities that influence the severity of this disease. Aim: To establish an integrated Comorbidome-like representation of the prevalence of comorbidities focused on a prognostic element and to evaluate its relevance in COPD patients. For this reason, were included 154 patients hospitalized for COPD exacerbation during the period from January 2010 to December 2016. For each prognostic factor identified, a bubble graph of the prevalences of comorbidities was drawn (Comorbidome). Results: Comorbidities associated with COPD were represented by anemia (30%), hypertension (23%) and asthma (10%). Comorbidome analysis showed that diabetes was more associated with the frequency of exacerbations. Asthma was associated with a very high risk of readmission. HTA was the only comorbidity associated with transfer to the ICU. Conclusion: Comorbidities associated with COPD are frequent and have an impact on the severity of the disease.

This work deals with two classic indicators of organizations. The first one presupposes the search for recognition by the market and, more generally, by society, of what a university is capable of doing or of transforming it into a positively active organization. The second translates the concern with the survival of the university itself as an organisation or to keep it more than just alive, but in constant growth and development. Both indicators are strategic and have a crucial impact on the conceptual and critical characterisation of the university itself. The use of flexible structures gives a tone of innovation to the process and provides the clue that is missing to understand how the project proposed here can be made viable. At first sight, it might seem to be another text about university management. A more attentive look at the project shows a well-structured, original and relevant contribution, perfectly suited to the current moment.

Thinkers need to understand the complexities of twenty-first-century political-legal modernity in order to more clearly determine the direction of inquiry in our rapidly changing world. For a serious and in-depth study of social modernity, the methods of scientific cognition alone are no longer sufficient. The methods of religious, mythological and intuitive cognition must also be used. The struggle for spiritual values in today's global consumer society is no longer a struggle of the past with the present, but a new form of early social struggle against the new ultra-globalist orderIn the articles the author examines the legal contradictions in international contractual relations, as well as religious and cultural characteristics of different ethnic groups and nations in the formation of the philosophy of law and legal technology in the era of the emergence and development of capitalist relations.

This cognitive psychology book presents the results of an experimental study consisting of determining the effect of two factors (the spatial arrangement of items and affordance based on colour) in the Trail Making Test and visual search when consulting content on websites. Used by clinicians, this test measures the speed of performing a cognitive task (going from one number to the next) at the attentional level (looking for the next number) involving visual-spatial processes. In this study, it is not a question of detecting an item among other items as in the research conducted by Charles Tijus (2003), distinguishing an object among others by an actionable property, or by Laure Léger on pop-out and masking (Léger, Tijus, 2007), but of choosing an easy path to move in an increasing manner from one item to another item. The author shows that thanks to visual affordance, the results of the computerised Trail Making Test are better than those of the paper-based Trail Making Test. He shows that the use of this concept also facilitates visual search.

In the first quarter of 2022, Belarusian exports of goods and services increased by half a billion dollars. At the same time the surplus was a record high of almost one billion dollars, including 1.2 billion dollars in services. The main increase in exports of goods was provided by producers of food, vehicles, woodworking and metal products. Among services, the IT sector, transport and financial services made the greatest contribution. An important detail: these indicators were achieved at a time when the Belarusian economy was undergoing structural transformation. Logistics chains, supply and sales markets are being rebuilt. Imports of components and raw materials are being replaced by domestic products or from friendly countries. Of course, the restructuring of the whole economic mechanism will take time. How does the international economic cooperation of the Republic of Belarus in the post-Soviet space develop in this context, with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan? What is characteristic for interaction with partners in Southeast Asia - Vietnam and Indonesia? What is the development of the territories with preferential treatment in Belarus itself? Answers to these questions can be found in this study.

Carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua L.) is of great ecological and socio-economic importance in Morocco, hence the interest of such a study to promote its multiplication. We have developed a micropropagation technique of Carob tree by culturing apexes taken from seedlings at the stage of two cotyledonary leaves aged seven days. WPM macroelements supplemented with 2.22 µM BAP gave good results during the initiation and multiplication phases. Rooting of the seedlings was best on MS/2 medium supplemented with 10 µM BAP. Acclimation on peat at 100% relative humidity gave 80% success. We also successfully micropropagated Carob by culturing cotyledonary buds from 13-day-old seedlings. The study of the effect of the four cytokinins, showed that BAP is the most favorable to bud break. Shoot multiplication is more favorable in the presence of BAP at 2.22 µM. 90% rooting is obtained with 10 µM of AIB.Key words: Carob tree, Ceratonia siliqua L., micropropagation, apex, epicoyl.

By following the evolution of Sino-American relations during the second half of the 20th century until 2023, we see that they have known periods of cooperation, understanding and competitiveness and others of misunderstandings, disputes, confrontations, even seizures. These alternations of understandings and misunderstandings have affected the military, political, economic, technological, legal and geopolitical fields ... which are related to the developments and changes in the economic situation and international deals, but also internal to each country. In these relations, each of the two countries defends its interests, according to its data, its weight, its vision, its development model, its politico-economic doctrine and its geopolitical aims. In this competitive duel, the two States do not hesitate to use all the means at their disposal and all possible methods, from soft to tough, even Gehenna, thereby influencing the world politico-economic order and the reconfiguration of the international geopolitical space. It is in this very convulsive world, where the Gehenna method is used in the muscular confrontation between States, companies and people.

Open conflict between Barcelona and Madrid, the triumph of Corsican nationalists, a dynamic Scottish nationalism... The so-called regionalist parties are definitely on a roll throughout the old continent. This is both the consequence and the cause of a general crisis of territoriality that could herald the overcoming of the nation-state in the Europe that gave birth to it. This overcoming from below converges with the overcoming from above: European integration. Does this integration, which generates solidarity par excellence, lead these parties to work together, to ally themselves against their common enemy in order to shape a Europe in which their stateless nations would have their place? This research paper aims to answer this question.

With the near absence of a place for the valorization and conservation of culture in Balengou, we were obliged to write a book on the locality in order to valorize and perpetuate Balengou culture on the one hand, and on the other hand to valorize Cameroonian culture in order to make a modest contribution to the development of tourism in the interior of the country. Thus, from the general presentation of the locality of Balengou, discussed in Chapter I, it appears that the population is essentially peasant and remains very anchored in their traditional values. For example, they still practice the cult of skulls, widowhood rites and initiation rites dating back to ancient times. We will then make an inventory of the tourist heritage specific to the locality studied, where we note that Balengou is rich in natural tourist attractions, its crafts and its royal ornaments, which deserve to be preserved and then developed for the perpetuation of the cultural identity of the locality.

In Burkina Faso, land management is becoming increasingly complex due to competition for natural resources. The traditional production systems of livestock and agriculture had long succeeded in preserving a certain balance between the environment, people and animals. However, difficulties in accessing natural resources, combined with the scarcity of rainfall, demographic pressure, and the superimposition of traditional and modern land management rights, sometimes create tensions or even open conflicts between the various actors. Whether caused by greed or injustice, these conflicts deteriorate the social climate between the different communities. Thus, internal and cross-border transhumance remains the only alternative for herders to preserve their herds and ensure sustainable resource management. However, during their mobility, herders are confronted with numerous difficulties: occupation of passage or access tracks, poor management of disputes related to field damage, impounding of animals by public administrations or the population, etc.

During colonization, the development of French-speaking Africa was conceived in the form of large groups: the AOF and the AEF. With independence, each territory, in order to fully express its sovereignty, broke away from these groups, further fragmenting the continent. But very quickly, certain African leaders such as L. S. Senghor of Senegal and Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana had demonstrated the necessity of regrouping. The latter, in his posthumous book Africa must unite (Nkrumah 2001), advocated African unity. But integration is not the result of colonization. This notion, which existed long before colonization through trade, had been completely distorted by the erection of colonial borders (Goeh-Akué 2009: 16). It had taken on a new form insofar as one could observe the same people on both sides of the borders and peoples who previously could not get along were forced to live together.

While the massive trade of agricultural land is decried by NGOs and often considered as a land grab, international organizations such as the World Bank see it as a development opportunity for countries selling or leasing their land, what they call the "win-win" principle. However, this commercialization of land seems to have heavy repercussions on local populations, and progress in terms of development is hardly visible. Is the massive trade in agricultural land really a development opportunity? The objective of this research is to make the link between massive land trade and the possible development opportunity that would result from it, in order to know if after a decade of the phenomenon's expansion, the trade in agricultural land has really succeeded in bringing about development in the areas where the land has been traded.

The greatest emphasis was given to the soil and water resources due to the importance for the municipalities in terms of their exploitation, and thus physical-chemical soil and water analyses were carried out for a better characterisation of this part of the river under consideration. This report contains the results obtained in the field, laboratory and office work carried out as part of the proposed studies, with geological/geomorphological/pedological and water mapping carried out on a regional scale of 1:100,000.

This research is based on a systemic approach to art that makes it possible to observe its relations with what constitutes the social environment in an attempt to establish what the process of functional differentiation consists of. Proposing an investigation on art as a system implies a shift from the ontological order to the systemic order. The consequences of this change in observation have an impact on our conception of art itself, as well as on the evaluation we make of its products. Guided by Niklas Luhmann's Social Systems Theory, we start from the idea that complex societies require approaches that respond to that complexity, so the approach implies observing art, its elements and operations from a systemic observation horizon that makes it possible to find the evolutionary aspects that explain the limits of art, as well as its social dimension.

The results of 2021 showed that the residents of six free economic zones (FEZ) operating in Belarus were able to generate up to 70 percent of investment, up to half of exports and a third of industrial production in their regions. And this despite the fact that at the beginning of 2022, 432 economic entities were registered in free economic zones, implemented projects with investments from more than 30 countries for a total of about seven and a half billion dollars of declared investment. During 2021 25 new residents with total declared investments more than 400 mln. dollars were added to the composition of FEZ in Belarus, one third of them - with foreign capital. In December 2021 the Republic of Belarus approved amendments to the law "On Free Economic Zones", which provided for the transfer of authority to change the boundaries of these preferential areas of land from the head of state to the government. The purpose of these innovations is to reduce the time from the idea to the start of new investment projects in the territories, which are considered to be points of growth in the regions. How is this task solved in practice? This is discussed in the materials of the proposed study.

In Africa, as in Asia in some less industrialized countries, transnational companies, especially extractive companies, are active but not without negative impacts on the environment and respect for human rights. In fact, with regard to the notions of corporate social responsibility, an attempt at regulation has been reported with two currents, namely the voluntary approach and the restrictive one. Through the work, it appears that it is possible to walk with the conventional regime that intervenes either between companies, or between the State and companies, or between companies and communities. However, the fact that the latter are not often associated in the signing of agreements, they become victims of violations of their rights. Hence the need to combine a voluntary approach with a binding one through the respect of international norms in the matter, involving either judicial or extrajudicial actions or advocacy. And yet, as far as CSR is concerned, it is not necessary to wait for the occurrence of the fault for its application because it implies the obligation to respect and prevent.

The results indicate that the ethical nurse is competent at the most diverse levels; does not neglect the professional improvement/ continuous updating of his/her knowledge; strives for excellence in the exercise of the profession; protects and defends the human being from practices that go against the law, ethics or the common good; assumes the duty of knowing the needs of the population and the community in which he/she works; collaborates with other professionals in programs that meet the needs of the patient/family/community; respects the bio-psychosocial, cultural and spiritual integrity of the person; and maintains a standard of personal conduct that dignifies the profession. The following factors were identified as facilitators of good practice: patient-centered care; participatory assessment of patients' needs; professional competence; horizontal care; therapeutic proximity; professional satisfaction; professional autonomy; and knowledge update.

This book is a research where local aspects aroused the interest for global demands of studying the public space and its nunces, such as its historical and spatial formation, conceptions and appropriations. From this understanding, we have the enlightenment to understand locally the space to be studied. In light of this, it became necessary to elaborate a proposal for the subversive use of public squares, which is not limited to the hegemonic conceptions of the modern capitalist order. Cultural Roundtables, Film Clubs, Carnival, Capoeira, among other expressions, have been making the public space an object of empowerment for marginalized classes, in counterpoint to the use desired by the agents who produce the space. Such conflicts open fissures in the hegemonic order that inspire actions of greater breadth and with greater social impact, aimed at self-management in public space and social autonomy.

In Kinshasa, market gardening is observed along roadways with intense motorized traffic. The objective of this study is to evaluate their level of contamination in toxic metallic trace elements in order to deduce the safe cultivation distance (useful zone). The results obtained reveal that:- Notwithstanding, the combined effects of rainfall, runoff and watering, it is attested that these vegetables were contaminated up to a distance as one moves away from the roadside.- Lead levels are inversely proportional to the distance of the vegetable crops from the Kasavubu and Saïo roadways. Lead concentrations in soil are higher than in vegetables and irrigation water. Non-renewal of the soil after harvest may account for the accumulation of lead in the soil. - Cadmium is only detected in soil samples taken within 3m of the road. Tire wear could be the cause- The differential of Cadmium and Arsenic kinetics is null whereas an inverse correlation was observed between physicochemical parameters (pH, OM and TOC) and metals under study.

In this essay, we intend to reflect briefly on some instruments of environmental law that enable the sharing of responsibility between public administration and citizens for environmental protection. It seems that waste law, specifically waste management, is one of these responsibility-sharing instruments, since it is up to the waste producer to promote waste management. In other words, it is enough to think that urban waste should be placed in the rubbish container, but it should first be placed in a plastic or paper bag by the producer, thus materialising the previous management of waste.
