The care of the aging population in Cuba becomes a great challenge in the bioethical action, being oncological diseases the first cause of death in this age group, which has repercussions on the quality of the caregiver's performance at home. In this direction, to assess the level of bioethical knowledge presented by the caregivers in the care of the elderly in terminal stage, admitted at home, belonging to the health area, polyclinic "Marta Abreu" of Santa Clara municipality. It was found that the greatest representation of caregivers corresponded to the female sex, between 50-59 years old respectively, with low and higher level of schooling. There was a predominance of learning needs for palliative home care. Insufficient instruction was identified in caregivers about bioethical knowledge, principles and rights, as well as the care of the terminally ill patient. It was pertinent to design a psychoeducational course that would contribute to the performance of this stage with higher quality, respecting bioethical principles and human dignity as the most sacred of rights.

This volume, which is a derivative of the thesis entitled: System of methodological actions directed to the preparation of teachers of the Laboratory Animals subject, has the objective of proposing a system of methodological actions to contribute to the improvement of the methodological preparation of teachers for the teaching of the Laboratory Animals subject. Theoretical and empirical methods are used to solve the scientific problem in a selected sample. The scientific novelty of the thesis consists in the contribution of a system of methodological actions from the subject collective, to contribute to the pedagogical professional development in teachers of the Experimental Toxicology Unit of the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara who do not have a pedagogical training, necessary for the adequate teaching and application of techniques to be used in the teaching of practical and theoretical-practical subjects that are developed in the laboratory as the main scenario.

An epidural hematoma is a collection of blood between the inner part of the skull bone and the outer part of the dura mater. It is a rare but not exceptional complication of cranial trauma. HED constitutes an extreme neurosurgical emergency, as the brain is eventually compressed by the accumulation of blood. This compression eventually leads to temporal or cerebellar involvement, with consequent compression of the brain stem, which can progress to death. Treatment is purely surgical, with the aim of rapid cerebral decompression.

Ecuador is no stranger to violence, it is experienced daily and continues to increase over the years in various aspects of the country, this violence is more noticeable especially when talking about violence against women. The objective of this work is to analyze the exponential growth of femicides in the country in the last year, as well as to determine what are the consequences in the legal and social spheres as a result of gender violence in Ecuador.

The Industrial Safety course is oriented to identify the dangers and evaluate the risks in the different work centers for the protection of the people who carry out these activities. Industrial Safety has become very relevant due to its high social content, since in case of an accident, the family, which is the social cell of our society, is affected. In the Occupational Risk Assessment Unit it is important to survey methodologies, standards and tools that seek to improve workplaces making them "safe" and reducing the risk margin. Probability and consequence are the most important variables of this evaluation and are an important part of this analysis. Finally, both the Industrial Safety and the Risk Assessment unit are oriented to the care of the worker, but take their real importance in the own design and even quite subjective of the evaluator, and this is the goal we want to achieve, that students achieve criteria and be evaluators of safe workplaces.

First of all, it is very important to point out that, evidently, prior to the field work, we were physically present in the following municipalities, all of them belonging to the state of San Luis Potosi; that is, Xilitla, Real de Catorce and Ciudad Valles. However, the available information and the information that was available was so vast that, of course, various lines of research were formed, all of them showing an unusual interest among the members of the project; however, it was necessary to opt for the one that had the greatest specific weight for the research itself: coffee growing. It should be noted that the decision was based on the research budget. This work focuses on the compilation of data on four medicinal plants present in the state of Durango, Mexico, exploring their traditional uses and therapeutic potential. Through research and collection of traditional knowledge, numerous plant species used by local communities to treat a variety of ailments and diseases are identified, that is why we focus on four of the plants with the greatest therapeutic potential; which are: Arnica Montana, Llantén Mayor, Mezquite and Pasionaria.

Stewart's model examines the relationship between the movement of ions across biological membranes and the consequent changes in pH related to modifications in three dependent variables which are the strong ion difference (SID), total weak acids and pCO2; and corrects the calculations of the traditional approach related to the buffer curve, base excess and anion gap. Objective: To determine whether DIF calculated by Stewart's method predicts mortality in patients with septic shock. Methods: Epidemiological, observational, cross-sectional study of two cohorts. Total sample of 204 patients admitted to the ICU. Results: The DIF with cutoff less than 25 at admission showed a sensitivity of 0.50 and specificity of 0.97, while the DIF at 24 hours showed a specificity of 93% and a sensitivity of 83%, positive predictive value 0.92, negative predictive value 0.84 and an area under the curve of 0.92. In order to improve students' learning, which will enable them to acquire the competences required for graduation, there is a need to know how they learn and which didactic and teaching activities lead to effective learning and comprehensive training. This highlights the possibility of monitoring classroom didactic action through ICT tools, in order to show which teaching activities can be valid and how learners receive and perceive the training process. This facial recognition can be done in a natural way by people in a context of evaluation of affective expressions, which are framed in six basic emotions, namely: fear, sadness, joy, anger, disgust and surprise. This opens up expectations for gathering information and creating knowledge, which allows for adjusting the teaching and learning processes related to higher technical and vocational education.

The use of in vitro micropropagation is a biotechnological tool that allows obtaining pathogen-free plants for large-scale production of plant material that generates high quality certified seed. Chrysanthemum is the second most economically important floricultural crop in the world and some studies describe protocols for in vitro propagation of some varieties, since effective propagation systems are required to meet export demands. This plant species is attacked by white rust caused by the fungus Puccinia horiana Henn and the presence of the insect Thrips palmy Karny, although Colombia has been declared free of this type of contaminants, the deficiency in agricultural practices can easily spread diseases in small crops, where the economy of growers depends on the production of chrysanthemums on a smaller scale. The objective of this study was to establish in vitro micropropagation protocols for 6 chrysanthemum varieties; this was developed in the Plant Biotechnology laboratory of the National Learning Service.

Due to the great changes produced by science and technological development nowadays, our society needs to adapt to them in order to use them for the benefit and progress of Education, and in particular for Regular Basic Education. In order to make possible the formation of citizens committed to their culture, society, scientific knowledge and immediate reality. With this premise, learning in the area of Social Sciences and especially our History is not a foreign area, since we understand it as a science whose object of study is considered as a very useful element that has given human beings not only the quality of knowing the cultural heritage of the different societies and civilisations that have passed through time and space, but also for allowing us to build our own identity, seeking and identifying facts and events of past times that facilitate the elaboration of our own idiosyncrasy.

The issues of admission, permanence and graduation continue to be on the agenda of higher education, which is why the Faculty of Engineering of Olavarría created an Institutional Mentoring Programme, whose purpose is to accompany and guide incoming students during their first steps in the Institution. The programme is made up of teachers, psychologists, psychopedagogues, students and non-teaching staff. Although the tutoring modality is with peer tutors, the whole team works together with the same objective. This publication is a compilation of work, both research and experience, from the beginning of the programme to the present day.

At the outset, it is agreed that within the framework of Sustainable Development, Social Work has established areas and fields of intervention around which social services have been developed, mainly those related to water care with respect to quality of life and subjective wellbeing, determinants of the evaluation of public policies, environmental programmes and strategies of attention to migrant communities. In this scheme, Environmental Social Work acts as a mediator of supply policies and civil demands, considering the historical limitations.

This research arises as a concern of the directors of the Agricultural Family School (EFA) Sta. Teresita de Leandro N. Alem Misiones, located at km 40 of the provincial route no. 4, with the aim of giving a contribution to the institution about the ongoing training of monitors, considering that it is necessary to review, constantly, this aspect to provide a better educational service in an EFA. These have an alternating system, with boarding and mixed, where education is built through sharing between the different educational actors. For example, the METs (Teachers of Education for Work) are tutors who personally accompany each student in the course assigned to them, and must do so throughout their school career, becoming a link between the teacher, the student (with their reality and family characteristics) and knowledge. As knowledge is constantly renewed, it is vital for a good and meaningful teaching and learning process that the teacher monitors in charge of this practice are trained periodically, thus renewing knowledge and breaking structures.

Nursing is a profession that is definitely independent of the branch of medicine and has its own scientific method: the Nursing Care Process, which makes it possible to apply the theoretical basis of nursing to the practice of this activity. According to M. C. Amaro Cano (1994), based on the criteria of other authors, the nursing process involves an approach to solve problems that require cognitive, technical and interpersonal skills whose purpose is to describe the needs of the patient and his or her family.By studying social representations we can have access to answers that allow us to understand the internal world of the subjects studied, taking into account the subjective character they possess and knowing them as part of an organized set of shared experiences and values, which will order the thinking and actions of a group of individuals.

Psychological phenomena are understood with respect to the way in which cultural and social environments influence them, which is not unrelated to the possibility of measuring and comparing behavior. With the aim of analyzing psychological adjustment in adolescents with drug dependence, a mixed study was conducted in which statistically significant differences were found between a control group and the group of adolescents with drug dependence: in six of nine psychological adjustment traits evaluated, the same traits that presented dependence to drug dependence. Among these traits, the most representative scores were impulsivity, subjectivity and hostility. Most described growing up in hostile environments and adequate psychological adjustment in social, artistic and sporting activities.

Consideration of the issues of legal protection of intellectual property, liability for its violation takes a great place in the work. The report characterizes the extreme bioclimatic sensations due to heat in the province of Mayabeque. The subject is of great importance due to its direct and indirect impacts on people's comfort and health. For this purpose, the bioclimatic indicator called Intense Heat Condition (CCI) is used, generated from the thermal sensations of people at 7 am and 1 pm, in its two modalities, without wind (CCIcv) and with wind (CCIcv). The climatic data were taken for the period 1991 - 2010, in three meteorological stations representative of the climatic conditions of the territory: Casablanca, Bainoa and Melena del Sur. It was found that the CCIs are a characteristic feature of the summer months in the province, with greater frequency towards both coastal areas. In addition, CCIs occur on isolated days or in spurts of up to 6 days. To the north of Mayabeque the most significant tendencies to the increase of the CCI are registered, and the points of change are reported at the end of the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s.

The purpose of this research was to find out if the HIIT training method is efficient when it comes to sports training. The sample consisted of 8 people, between 19 and 34 years of age, divided into a control group and an experimental group, each of which consisted of 4 people, 3 men and 1 woman for each group. The aim of the research was to establish the changes in body composition, resting heart rate and maximum oxygen consumption when HIIT physical training is applied. This work is quasi-experimental, because there are two groups, an experimental group to which a HIT method was applied during 10 sessions and a control group that continued with its conventional continuous training. Assignment to each group was by convenience, and measurements were taken before and after the intervention. The results indicate that there were no significant differences in the variables evaluated.

Mi amazona interior para ti, is born from the approach of its author, a clinical psychologist with more than 13 years of experience in the treatment of populations, families and individuals affected by situations of domestic and gender violence in different parts of the national geography of the Republic of Colombia. In this work the author manages to combine the use of different therapeutic tools of traditional clinical psychology with elements of the so-called third generation psychological therapies, providing guidelines on how to identify the type of couple that generates situations of violence, the strategies they use, the effects it generates in those who receive their actions, different aspects of the couple's relationship that generate conflicts and lead to the consolidation of the cycle of violence, while providing with examples and real stories of patients she has treated, how the strategies she teaches empower women to cease in their role of being victims, becoming survivors.

I am one of those who believe, as do many people, that education from colonial times to the present day has been managed as an ideological instrument for the domination given by power relations. That education has always been managed expressing the interests of the class that dominates and responding to a "truth" imposed in an alienating way, so that they never questioned the instruction received, where reflection, analysis does not touch the brain of the learner, thus becoming the "formation" of a huge herd that is herded according to the objectives, purposes and goals of the ruler, keeping it isolated from a reality that gradually enslaves and plunges into intellectual and material poverty to the vast majority of the population. There are those who pretend to ignore that the genesis of our educational systems in Latin America, including the Caribbean, was born as a result of a relationship of force, that is to say, of power relations. That power was used at that time, so that education would fulfill the purpose, the objective and the end so that it would have a USEFUL value in the service of God and the Spanish Metropolitan State -in other words- USEFUL to God and the King.

This textbook has been prepared by the author for use in practical classes during the study of the course "Criminal Procedure Law" for students of the International Law Faculty. The textbook contains general theoretical issues, but the main emphasis is placed on the presentation of cases and practical tasks on the above-mentioned academic discipline. When solving cases and performing practical tasks, students should be guided by the national legislation, and in some cases - to be guided by international and foreign legal acts, with obligatory reference to specific legal acts. In addition, the solution of cases and conclusions should be logically justified. In preparing the textbook, some materials from the practice of law enforcement and other bodies were used, but the actual circumstances may be changed. The cases and practical tasks are divided into specific topics in accordance with the Working Program of the course "Criminal Procedure Law", which should facilitate the orientation of students in their application.

Violence against pregnant women is considered by various authors as a situation of coercion and domination of a person towards her, including physical aggression, sexual or emotional violence. This type of violence has a worldwide prevalence between 1% and 70% and it is not known exactly if there are preventive programs to address this public health problem.The objective of this introductory text is to systematically review the bibliographic contributions related to preventive programs for gender violence in women, with special emphasis on pregnant women.

The present research is entitled "Teaching strategies to strengthen scientific competencies in the subject of Physics. This study is approached under Action Research as a method with a qualitative approach, where the research process was developed in three phases: diagnosis, design and implementation and evaluation. An analysis was made of the pedagogical strategies used from the study of natural sciences and the effectiveness was determined, indicating the relevance in the pedagogical process, the development of scientific skills and the appropriation of knowledge. Likewise, the current state of scientific competences in the subject of physics was diagnosed: comprehensive use of scientific knowledge, explanation of phenomena and inquiry; pedagogical strategies were designed to strengthen them, activities were implemented and their effectiveness was evaluated. The results obtained show changes in the students, since when they perform scientific experiments, they understand their processes and their conceptual basis and, in the same way, they explain what happens and relate it to facts present in their daily lives.

With a view to restoring the Nyamusisi forest reserve created by the Governor General's order n°52 /137 of May 02 1952 and entirely non-existent in fact and for the sustainable development of the island of Idjwi, we used the participatory action research method. Qualitative and quantitative data collection was based on 300 interviews and a survey questionnaire sent to a sample of 384 households living in and outside the Idjwi state forests (Nyamusisi forest). We carried out participatory mapping and remote sensing, and processed Land SAT satellite images. Our results led to the creation of the Idjwi-Nyamusisi Nature Reserve by Governor's decree no. 22/131/GP/SK of May 20, 2022. A management committee for the Idjwi-Nyamusisi Nature Reserve was set up by provincial decree n°22/300/CAB/GP/SK and registered with the national Ministry of Justice under number F92/52.340 Dos. Asbl: "CGRI". The Idjwi-Nyamusisi Nature Reserve meets the objectives of sustainable development on the island of Idjwi.

Development of a model to redesign a family of products through the user experience. This experience cannot be treated as linear since the world is imprecise, i.e. non-linear, so it is analyzed using fuzzy logic that reflects the flexibility and freedom of each user's experience. The implementation of fuzzy numbers in the project is the central mathematical axis where the user experience is developed and, therefore, will serve as its quantification.

The use of medicinal plants is as old as man himself. The process by which Homo sapiens selected the plants that served to eat, cure or intoxicate, is lost in the long night of the origin of humanity. This stage of learning passed slowly, at the pace of evolution, but with some shocks. The first written documents, which tell us about the use of medicinal plants, we find them with an antiquity of about 4,000 years B.C. We also have the ideograms of the Sumerians written about 2,500 years B.C., where we find descriptions of plants used for medicinal purposes. In the code of Hammurabi, about 2,000 years B.C. we find how the Babylonians already used many plants to restore their health; among them we have: mint, senna, henbane, garlic, poppy, hemp, among others.

Study carried out in collaboration between the Corporación Miastenia Gravis de Chile and the Universidad del Desarrollo. Complete periodontograms were performed on 9 patients belonging to the corporation, in the cities of Santiago and Concepción. In addition, an interview validated by experts was carried out to evaluate the perception (through structural semantic analysis) that they have developed on whether or not their oral health has worsened since the time of diagnosis of their disease.
