With the transformation of the Federal Technical Schools into Federal Technological Education Centres, these institutions began to offer courses ranging from technical education to doctoral degrees (Otranto, 2011), which implied the verticalization of teaching. Verticalization, which results from the new conceptions of technological education in Brazil, and which goes beyond the limits of training levels (Pacheco, 2011), can have a major influence on teaching methods and techniques and on the construction and development of curricula, which imply a logical and coherent profile of subjects (Silva, 2015). With this curricular organization, teaching takes on greater complexity, since teachers work simultaneously in basic education and higher education, and have to carry out research, extension and management activities, which seems to require teachers to make an extra effort to respond to the various demands. The aim of this study was therefore to find out the impact of the verticalization of teaching on the performance of teachers' activities. To this end, a quantitative methodology was used and data was collected using a closed-ended questionnaire.

Women's health largely determines the state's attitude to healthcare, especially to maternal and child health services. The quality of life of any woman is largely determined by the state of her reproductive system, which throughout the world requires compliance with some of the causes of female morbidity. It is known that neoplasms of the organs of the reproductive system of women relate both to the general level of their morbidity and to mortality from malignant neoplasms. Meanwhile, over the last decade, an increase in the frequency of neoplasms of the reproductive system has been noted, among more than two thirds of which benign tumors and tumor-like formations are observed. The transformation of precancerous diseases into cancer can be achieved through large-scale organization of work to promote a healthy lifestyle among women of all ages (primary prevention) and treatment given at a gradual stage as a result of regular and systematic screening.

Wetlands are fragile ecosystems of great importance for biodiversity, nutrient cycling, flood control, sediment and nutrient retention, water purification and more. They have three clear characteristics: water level variation over a gradient of time, anoxic soils and vegetation typical of waterlogged environments. As these areas were considered unhealthy and difficult to access, they remained untouched for some time. The book describes the changes caused by anthropic actions in the areas flooded by the Açu River, in the municipality of Mata de São João, on the north coast of Bahia, where several hotel developments have been built. The study highlights the Timeantube lagoon, which resulted from the damming of the Açu River, a project intended to drain areas destined for hotel developments. Although the results of the physical-chemical analyses showed low concentrations of nutrients, it cannot be said that the area is not undergoing a process of eutrophication, highlighting the significant presence of aquatic macrophytes, which absorb large quantities of nitrogen and phosphorus in their biomass, reducing the concentrations of these nutrients.

High demand has led companies to grow exponentially and, with the increase in the number of competitors and the unbridled search for better price and quality conditions, the automation of processes has become mandatory within organizations. In this context, MRPs systems emerged, programs that carried out basic stock control activities, giving way to tasks that had previously been done manually, resulting in slowness and a large number of errors in order management processes. From these, MRPs evolved into systems called MRPII, where they made it possible to plan and control activities from the sales process to the delivery of material. From there, with the integration of other departments into this system, ERP was developed. ERPs are large systems that integrate all areas of the organization into a single data repository, helping to speed up processes, since they make it possible to extract data in real time, enabling decisions to be made. However, implementing an ERP requires a number of resources which, if not planned properly, can lead to a number of factors such as those mentioned in this book.

This paper focuses on the Fundo de Pasto communities of Canaã and São Gonçalo da Serra, located in Sobradinnho/BA. It presents the culture, form of organization, concept of Fundo de Pasto and the history of the formation of the communities. It reports on the relationship with the natural components of the caatinga, the management of the space in environmental and productive aspects, which has goat farming as its main focus, and also makes proposals for public policies.

Born of the transformation process from the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) to the African Union (AU), the African Peace and Security Architecture reflects the desire of African states to assume greater responsibility for peacekeeping operations in Africa. This Architecture is based on five pillars and is supported by the Regional Economic Communities (RECs). These mechanisms have enabled the AU to make great strides forward. Despite these efforts, the complexity of recent crises, notably that in Mali, has highlighted the limits of the Architecture's scope of intervention, raising doubts about its ability to effectively ensure the protection of civilian populations in armed conflicts. Clearly, the sine qua non conditions for the operational implementation of both the AU and the RECs have not been met. At the same time, there are financial, human and logistical problems that are intrinsically linked to economic constraints. An enormous amount of work is being done, but it is struggling to flourish, hence the need to strengthen African peacekeeping capabilities.

At first sight, the work appears associated with a series of debates in the field of education, from the reading of etymological, ontological, axiological, pedagogical and didactic aspects that were related to complexity and trandisciplinarity. In this context, the author exposes a contribution for new reflections in the teaching of university Physics, conceiving a didactic model with and from transdisiciplinarity, with emphasis on two central interviculant referents: the ontological and the epsithymological. His ideas were oriented to the construction of a didactic model with a transdisciplinary vision of education, for the teaching of Physics at the University, with the intention of giving answers related to the problematic of the teacher's pedagogical praxis. From his transdisciplinary vision, he reflects on the attitude, on our attitude as university teachers; approaching transdisciplinarity as an integral experience, which offers the possibility of studying reality (with a new conception of the teacher, the classroom, and the university); generating in this way other perspectives for the teaching of Physics.

The aim of this research paper is to present a case study of a software development company, which analysed the Software Version Release Management process carried out for the client, as well as the problems that occurred in this execution during the period observed. In addition, the theoretical concepts of the processes contained in the ITIL library will be presented, with a focus on Release Management, and the concepts related to Business Process Management, according to the BPM methodology. This research also addresses how the theoretical contextualisation was applied to the company's processes, what tools were adopted, what results were obtained and whether the objective of structuring the processes and solving the problems encountered was achieved.

The aim of this work is to analyse the funeral ceremonies of the royal funerals in two towns in the Captaincy of Mato Grosso: Vila Real do Senhor Bom Jesus do Cuiabá and Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade, between 1751 and 1816, considering that these practices express political and cultural representations in force in the Portuguese empire. We prioritised the cultural aspects present in the funeral ceremonies, within the political culture of the Ancien Régime, and their implications for the daily dynamics of the towns studied.

Fifty years ago, rising global temperatures, shortages of drinking water, climate change and environmental degradation were unimaginable, almost fictional realities, but today they are part of everyday life. Among the various proposals that have been drawn up, the methods for measuring anthropogenic impacts on the environment stand out. For this reason, this study looks at one of the most widespread sustainability methodologies, the Ecological Footprint, and compares it with Article 5 of the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988, which guarantees Fundamental Rights and Guarantees, both individual and collective, in order to see if its precepts comply with the principles established in the country's charter. To this end, a comparative matrix was constructed, where it was possible to examine that the Ecological Footprint does not directly observe or guarantee any of the constitutional prerogatives.

For this, SCADA systems for supervision, control and Data acquisition is essential. This book consists of studying, modeling, programming and developing human-machine interfaces (HMI) in order to supervise in real time the MPS PA 204 part of the hybrid AFB system from the manufacturer FESTO.For this we developed and presented mathematical models of the station studied. In our research we used the SIMATIC MANAGER STEP7 software for the programming of Siemens PLC industrial programmable controllers and the SIMATIC WinCC Flexible software for the development of man-machine interfaces. .All results are presented in the form of figures, tables and curves with interpretations.

Background: Infection is the second leading cause of mortality in people with kidney failure and the development of infections is often associated with vascular access.Objectives: To analyze the Quality Index (QI) of nursing care provided to people on hemodialysis, in the maintenance and manipulation of the central venous catheter (CVC), and the associated factors.Methodology: Analytical cross-sectional study carried out in hemodialysis units in northern Portugal between June and September 2019. Fifty nurses took part in the study and were directly observed and a questionnaire was administered to characterize their socio-professional status. The data was entered and analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics software, version 21.0.Results: The average QI for CVC procedures was 80%. The use of chlorohexidine for skin antisepsis was the procedure with the lowest compliance.Conclusion: The results indicate that there is room for improvement in the QI of procedures performed on CVCs in hemodialysis, with professional training being pointed out as a predictive indicator of better practices.

Visceral leishmaniasis is an endemic zoonosis in several countries, including Brazil. It is caused by Leishmania sp. and transmitted by the bite of Lutzomyia longipalpis. Apoptosis is a mechanism for the controlled elimination of cells and is important in resolving the inflammatory process. Apoptosis plays a role in the pathogenesis of many infections. The role of neutrophils in VL is still unclear, but it is known that parasitized neutrophils, like macrophages, are refractory to death by apoptosis. Thus, the survival of leishmania in neutrophils and their subsequent phagocytosis by macrophages seems to contribute to the progression of the infection. The aim of this study is to evaluate the possible relationship between apoptosis, inflammation and parasite load in dogs naturally infected with Leishmania.

The main aim of this work is to improve the usability of the OBA-MC by implementing a learning object repository. The OBA-MC is a learning object model created from the Content Map and Dependency Map tools, whose creation process is a methodology for subject planning. To develop the repository, a block was implemented in the Moodle virtual learning environment. The aim of this study was to test treatments to overcome dormancy in seeds of: Copaíba (Copaifera langsdorffii), Fava d'anta (Dimorphandra gardneriana), Janaguba (Himatanthus drasticus Mart. M.M. plumel) and Aroeira (Myracrodruon urundeuva allemão). The treatments tested were: mechanical scarification with sandpaper followed by immersion; chemical scarification with sulphuric acid and a control. The substrates were: soil and soil plus manure. The treatments tested varied between the species studied. After statistical analysis, it was possible to affirm that the best results for overcoming seed dormancy were obtained.

Considering the total scarcity of technical and biological information on the use of hydrogel and fertilization in the production of seedlings and the urgent need to make forest recovery initiatives more precise and viable, the authors developed a study in a greenhouse located in Brasília-DF seeking to evaluate the effect of the Hydrogel Polymer incorporated into the substrate and nitrogen fertilization on the growth of seedlings of three native Cerrado tree species - Handroanthus ochraceus (Cham. ), popularly known as Ipê-amarelo Mattos, Handroanthus impetiginosus (Mart. ex DC.), Mattos, Ipê-roxo and Myracrodruon urundeuva, Aroeira. The Cerrado has an extreme abundance of endemic species and is suffering exceptional habitat loss. Starch is one of the most widely used hydrocolloids in the food industry due to its abundance and low cost. It is used as an ingredient in various foods, as a thickening agent, gelling agent, stabilizer and fat substitute. The food industry has been making use of non-starch hydrocolloids, which improve the rheological and textural properties of foods, increase moisture retention and maintain the technological quality of products during storage (Funami et al., 2005). Several studies have been carried out to clarify the effect of hydrocolloids on the rheology and texture changes of starch-based foods. Most studies have been conducted to understand the effect of hydrocolloids on the processes of starch gelatinization and retrogradation (Yoshimura et al., 1996; Gudmundsson et al., 1991; Funami et al., 2005), increased water absorption capacity and greater stability in freezing and thawing cycles (Lee et al., 2002). The starch granule is a semi-crystalline particle composed of the polysaccharides amylose and amylopectin.

Currently, the problem of fetal growth restriction syndrome remains relevant, which is due to the fairly high incidence of perinatal mortality and perinatal morbidity in newborns born with this pathology. According to WHO, the number of newborns with developmental delay ranges from 31.1% in Central Asia to 6.5% in developed European countries. According to various authors, fetal growth retardation syndrome occurs in 2.4-17-25% of cases in Uzbekistan. Antenatal measures aimed at preventing, diagnosing and treating fetal growth restriction syndrome require innovative approaches. Currently, one of the methods widely used in clinical practice for diagnosing the condition of the fetus about ORP is cardiotocography. Thus, the problem of non-invasive dynamic monitoring of the fetal condition in growth restriction syndrome is an urgent problem of modern perinatology. Conducting scientific research in this direction will make it possible to find ways to adequately assess the intranatal state of the fetus and will open up opportunities for the introduction of complex and reliable methods of fetal monitoring into clinical practice.
