Teaching and learning media constitute one of the most important categories of didactics. Their functions favor the objective-content-method relationship, as well as the organization of the teaching-learning process. Their treatment in Geometry classes raises the preparation of teachers and students, and achieves a more developmental process. The lack of these means generates insufficiencies in the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education at the University of Las Tunas that affect the teaching-learning process of Geometry. From an analysis of the teaching and learning means in the different study plans of the pedagogical specialties of Mathematics, as well as of the philosophical, sociological, psychological, pedagogical and didactic referents, a set of teaching and learning means of different generations was designed and implemented, for its treatment in the teaching-learning process of Geometry. The projection of quadrics and conic sections through the implementation of these media increased the understanding of geometric content and the quality of learning.

Dengue fever is an acute viral infection that causes high mortality and morbidity in humans worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions, and the dynamics of Dengue virus transmission are determined by the interaction between the environment, the agent, the host population and the vector that exists in a specific habitat. The magnitude and intensity of this interaction will define the transmission of Dengue in a community, region or country.

The following book narrates the realisation of the business practices carried out as a degree option for the nationalisation of our professional training. This research consists of three experiments whose objective was the evaluation of different substrates and yeast strains obtained from the fermentation of apple by-products. The first work consisted of the development of a yeast inoculum, using aerators to evaluate eight treatments, using different levels of ground apple, cane molasses and two yeast strains, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces lactis. The second work consisted of evaluating the in vitro fermentation behavior of eight yeast strains isolated from apple by-products, based on the results of the first study. The third work consisted of determining the optimum level of a yeast-based additive added to diets for high-producing cows by means of the in vitro gas production technique, using four treatments.

The impact of corruption on economic variables has been studied by several authors, especially in the last twenty years with greater intensity. It is difficult to measure the footprint that corruption leaves in our lives, when the evaluation is a mathematical or econometric game, or simply guided by causalities, sometimes the collisions between different variables are difficult to measure. We begin by analyzing the academic background of the literature on the impact of corruption on economic variables, and then specifically on fiscal variables.National corruption domains are defined, the private domain, the political domain and the public domain. At the end of this work, the general principles of taxation derived from our National Constitution will be listed and explained, detailing which principles are affected by the hypothesis. Finally, the hypothesis is demonstrated in its theoretical and practical way.

Considering Zapatismo as the first anti-systemic movement to emerge after the supposed end of ideologies, this paper analyzes the discourses of the EZLN during its first stage (1994-1996). Inserting it within the new cycle of protests of the 1990s, we analyze the discourses of this movement until the signing of the San Andres Accords on February 16, 1996 in order to try to establish the keys to the political, economic and social thinking of a movement that gave hope back to the left in the 1990s.

Bartolomé Lloréns (1922 - 1946) was a poet of the post-war generation, originally from the town of Catarroja (Valencia). He lived in Madrid, where he became close friends with other young poets such as Carlos Bousoño, Eugenio de Nora and José María Valverde. He also established a relationship with Vicente Aleixandre and with Dámaso Alonso, who referred to him as "the youth perhaps more pierced of life and spirit that I have had these times by my side", in his speech of admission to the Royal Spanish Academy.After his death, there were many who praised his figure and the quality of his poetic work. However, his name has been forgotten in most of the studies on the poetry of the forties.

The objective of this paper on the socioeconomic-productive potential of family-type silvopastoral goat raising in the Mixteca Poblana is to evaluate goat production in the Mixteca Poblana of Mexico, with emphasis on the characterization and valuation of its socioeconomic-productive particularities and the nutritional potential of its tree and shrub forage resources. The results indicate that in the UPF persist socioeconomic problems related to poor education, employment difficulties, housing quality, level food and low wages; likewise, there is a strong emigration to the United States of America and insufficient governmental support programs for producers. Three main indicators are generated, being educational training, economic support and zootechnical aspect.In conclusion, these chapters provide the basis for a sustainable development of goat production in this region, in addition to recommending agricultural strategies for social welfare in the Mixteca Poblana.

The following paper presents the results - exploratory and qualitative - of the approach to some experiences/situations that allow us to see the relationship between curriculum, community and interculturality at the Secondary Level of the "Colegio de Villa Olivari", Villa Olivari, province of Corrientes, Argentina. For this approach, the "Estudiantina Tradicionalista" has been selected as an example. The fieldwork that made it possible to recover the information was carried out between 2005 and 2008. It also includes some reflections on the problem based on the 2013-2014-2015 experiences, showing the reflexivity and continuity of the interventions. The development of the research was guided by a descriptive, critical-reflexive perspective. In this way, we have set ourselves the objective of unravelling, understanding, analysing and reflecting on the logics and meanings involved in the relationships co-constructed in the educational field in the aforementioned case.

Throughout this work it was possible to describe the different stages of development of the company PLA S.A. and the changes and transformations that took place in the organisation of work, we tried to give an answer to the main transformations that took place during its growth. As well as how these changes are perceived by the protagonists, the workers of the PLA S.A. factory.

In the seventh volume of the "Encyclopedia of Clinical and Analytical Dentistry", the author has started the review of fundamental aspects of oral mucosal lesions (part 1), which is devoted to the development of the inflammatory process mainly in the oral mucosa. This work emphasizes the inseparable connection between inflammation and repair and the importance of decay of regulatory signaling molecules in this process.

In Volume 4 of the "Encyclopedia..." (Multivolume Manual of Dentistry...) the author continues to develop materials concerning topical problems of dentistry (in particular, dento-mandibular anomalies and deformities), focusing the readers' attention on the functional aspects of this problem. This direction is relevant not only for Ukraine (where events that may be accompanied by such clinical symptomatology are directly occurring), but also for the entire world community.

This book is the result of three years of research aimed at exposing how the perceptions of Mexico and the United States changed, at a time when their security was being threatened by drug traffickers, to collaborate openly before the public opinion of the two countries and with a specific collaboration scheme known as the Merida Initiative. The idea of co-responsibility and that it was a shared problem to fight drug traffickers meant that the bitter experiences of the past between the two countries were left behind, allowing them to establish a bilateral closeness to confront drug traffickers in both territories. This work also reflects that the commitments, the form of bilateral support and work was a product of past experience, but also of unprecedented political will.

Thyroidectomy is a surgical procedure that causes postoperative pain, which warrants analgesic treatment.Bilateral superficial cervical block is a locoregional anaesthesia technique that specifically targets the cervical region, and thus the thyroid gland in particular.It has the advantage of being technically simple and uncomplicated.Many teams are interested in this technique, and some have already demonstrated the efficacy of this block in this indication, while others have concluded that there is no beneficial effect.We conducted this study to assess the analgesic efficacy of the superficial cervical block performed prior to thyroid surgery, and the frequency of adverse events associated with the block and/or the use of analgesics.

The effect of climate conditions the environment in which cattle live and reproduce, making milk production and quality complex. This situation modifies important factors such as the availability/quality of water and feed. In response to the adverse effects, cattle modify their physiological and behavioral mechanisms in order to maintain their body temperature in a normal range. This study describes the relationship between the variables precipitation, temperature, temperature and humidity index (TIH) with milk production of the years 2011 and 2014 in the tropics (TS) and humid tropics (TH) and fat percentage of the years 2015 and 2016 in the TS. The historical records of production (Pd) and quality correspond to 18 CREL (milk collection and cooling centers), distributed in different life zones of the municipality of Olanchito, department of Yoro in Honduras. During the period analyzed, an irregular distribution of rainfall, an increase in temperatures and high rainfall (Pt) were observed, causing a seasonal vulnerability of production.

This is a book created for students of technical, technological and first semesters of engineering programs. It shows the detailed explanation of the analysis of resistive circuits and exercises for teachers and students. It was created for many students who wanted a much more didactic book, that showed in a simple way the solution of resistive exercises and that did not have so much text but relevant information of the solution of the same ones.

This scientific work was created in order to show the impact of the nutritional level and diet of 90 patients, between 18 and 80 years old in chronic hemodialysis, of a dialysis center in Santiago de Chile; for which a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional study was carried out using a questionnaire of structured and open questions, to collect information regarding their general personal history, health and diet, complemented with laboratory results obtained in the Medical Center. In addition, each patient's BMI and Malnutrition Inflammation Score were determined. The study resulted in a constant in the nutritional level and dietary regimen of patients with chronic renal failure where their sociodemographic and clinical background can vary significantly from one region to another. Aspects such as sex, weight, age, do not have a significant incidence in the development of this pathology that affects millions of people around the world.

The response to parenteral solutions was investigated in critically ill patients, with the use of indicators of ventricular preload by echocardiography, in 36 patients admitted to the hospital as critically ill, comorbid history, hemodynamic parameters, blood test data and echocardiographic measurements were taken before volume expansion, patients who increased their systolic volume and cardiac output greater than 15% after expansion were considered as responding, 300 cc. Of lactated Ringer's lactate was used as an expander. 25% of the patients did not respond to volume, in them the history of diabetes was a conditioning factor, among the parameters tested that we analyzed; Right Ventricular Tele Diastolic Volume (VTDVD), Left Ventricular Tele Diastolic Area (ATDVI) were significantly lower in those who responded compared to those who did not, by ROC curve was obtained that, VTDVD has an area under the curve of 0.98 (P=0.01, 95% [CI] 0.95-1.00), ATDVI has an area under the curve of 0.96 (P=0.00, 95% [CI] 0.90-1.00) to predict non-response to volume expansion with parenteral solutions.

The determination of an appropriate technique to better estimate the incidence of parasite eggs, in order to achieve a better understanding of sludge management, is fundamental to assess the environmental risk and indirectly the possible exposure of people to parasite eggs. The objective of this study was to determine the presence of helminth eggs in samples of raw and stabilised sludge from the Wastewater Treatment Plant of the municipality of Coronel.

In this academic work we are given the opportunity to learn a little more (since to learn from all his experience we would have to read a hundred of his books) of Washington's perspective in relation to his practice as an Organizational Psychologist and Systemic Therapy Interventionist. In the content of this book, he proposes that the family system, as a social unit, is a determining factor that influences the mental health of workers. The main contribution of the book is that it provides the psychologist who is serving with his profession in the context of organizations, a richer perspective in his practice, since, from Washington's proposal, the worker and his work performance should be considered as a product of a system where several factors interact, being one of the most important, THE FAMILY.

The reproductive process in teleost fish is controlled by the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, being activated by external factors such as water temperature and photoperiod. However, most fish in captivity do not spawn due to blockages at different levels of the gonadal maturation process, particularly in rheophilic species such as pacu (Piaractus mesopotamicus). In this sense, different procedures are used in order to stimulate the reproductive processes of final oocyte maturation to ensure the production of fry. However, the gonadal maturation of females in captivity generally begins in December, determining that the fattening of juveniles begins in January, thus losing much of the optimal growth temperature of the fry. In order to evaluate the effect of manipulating pond temperature and photoperiod on gonadal development in captive pacu females, four experimental treatments were proposed: T1: (Control), T2: (photoperiod) artificial light, T3: (temperature) greenhouse, and T4: (combined) photoperiod and temperature.

Progress in intensive care medicine is favouring greater survival in patients admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICU), with anxiety being one of the most frequent diagnoses related to such admissions. The existence of this condition is related to the ICU admission itself and may persist over time, even after the patient has been discharged. It is necessary to recognise the stressors experienced by patients admitted to the ICU, as well as all the connotations that may be conducive to the appearance of anxiety. Following a literature review, a total of 26 scientific articles have been compiled, recording information about anxiety experienced by adults after admission to an ICU. Anxiety is a personal and emotional response for each patient, which precedes the presence of danger, and predisposes the patient to a safety response. The different interventions to be carried out on these patients must be known in order to avoid the appearance of anxiety and where they should be directed for their optimal care.

Haploids can be used to advantage in cereal breeding.The haplodiploidization method: in vitro androgenesis was applied to four durum wheat varieties (Marzak, Massa, Oum rabia and Tomouh).In addition to the effect of genotype, the different results obtained (callus, embryos and plants) were analyzed as a function of donor heel, cold pretreatment and culture medium (C17 and Olsen). The donor heel had a significant effect on embryo and callus induction, with the master strand giving better results than the first heel.A non-significant effect of cold pretreatment was demonstrated for embryo induction and callus production, but also on regenerant quality. It was also found that a single embryo produced on Olsen medium gave a chlorophyll plant, whereas those produced on C17 medium gave no plant at all; albinism was also absent. The genotype factor is very important for embryo induction and regeneration. The results show that durum wheat remains a recalcitrant genotype, especially for seedling regeneration.

The knowledge economy is becoming increasingly borderless: the number of internationally mobile students continues to rise, and could exceed 7.5 million by 2025. This internationalisation is becoming a key feature of higher education worldwide. In Burkina Faso, this internationalisation is underway, especially in higher health schools and institutes, but its contribution to the social and economic development of the population remains unexplored to date. The aim of the study of the socio-economic contribution of the internationalisation of higher health institutions in Burkina Faso is therefore to analyse the impact of internationalisation on the country's socio-economic development. The results of the study show that internationalisation can contribute to training qualified and competent human resources, promoting scientific research, improving the quality of teaching and diversifying the range of training on offer. The study also highlights the challenges faced by higher education health institutions in their internationalisation process.

University education in Venezuela increasingly demands the improvement of teachers, so that they are able to face in a creative way the problems that arise in their professional performance. One of the most acute and complex problems that must be faced at present is to respond to the qualitative transformation of the university, raising the question of the quality of education, which has motivated a constant debate in the university sector. Today, with the changes that have taken place in the universities based on a new model of how and why to do research, as the basis of knowledge, the educational aspect plays a determining role in order to continue guaranteeing the construction of a country with a fundamental objective: the formation of the new human being required by the Venezuela of the present and the future.In relation to the Universidad Politécnica Territorial del Zulia (UPTZ) education should be seen as a morally desirable activity with purposes that lead to cultural and social transformation, therefore, research and intellectual creation as unique processes.

For the reader interested in the work in hand, it is important to point out that this is an important book on governance and social participation. Why? Because in this singular study, it will be possible to appreciate, with meridian clarity, the way in which knowledge from different subjects, located in the heart of the social sciences, interact; all of them determined to give due account of their peculiarities and their linkages. The dynamics of living beings has always implied alterations in ecosystems. From the primitive era to the present, natural resources have been used as raw materials for the production of goods and services (aimed at satisfying human needs) which, once consumed, generate waste and residues. The municipality of Heres, Bolivar State, is a place of daily production of solid waste that once generated is disposed of inadequately, revealing that there is no rational use of resources. In this sense, a model for the integral management of solid waste is designed, showing the need to articulate the Popular Power, the Public Power, the Private Companies and the Universities towards sustainable endogenous development, generating an alternative of community self-management based on the potential use of the solid waste produced in the municipal environment.

Therapeutic communication is one of the fundamental tools in the work of community nurses in the care of family caregivers of cancer patients. To design a training strategy for the improvement of therapeutic communication with family members of cancer patients. A development research was carried out in the Faculty of Medical Sciences Dr. "Juan Guiteras Gener" of Matanzas province, during the year 2022. A sample of 74 nurses working in Primary Health Care in the family doctor's and nurse practitioner's offices was selected.
