The objective of this design is to reduce costs in the consumption of electrical energy in Mexico. This helps the economy of the home and also uses renewable resources, in this case the air, in order to take advantage of each of the resources that can be used countless times. Thus also helping the environment and improving air quality and the way of living, and have a better quality of life.

This book is the result of a study whose general aim was to understand the concepts and guidelines of the process of implementing democratic school management within the public education system, in terms of the links with what is prescribed and systematised in educational legislation. Considering the direct relationship between public education policies and reality in the school environment, from the perspective of the concept of democratic management (GADOTTI, 2003) and the emancipated subject in the education process (FREIRE, 1987). In this context, this book aims to subsidise managers so that they can promote democratic management in the school environment, which will foster the development of all subjects in the educational process, and the school will be the granary for fostering and transforming the emancipated subject, generating reflective managers, educators and students and, at the same time, a democratic and liberating society.

This research is a historical account of the cognitive sciences, such as Artificial Intelligence; behaviourist psychology; neuropsychology and areas of neuroscience, such as neuroanatomy and neurophysiology; and the philosophy of mind. It also seeks to emphasise the relationship between physical processes and cognitive processes. Based on a historical narrative of the cognitive sciences, it discusses materialist perspectives that aim to emphasise: the relationship between neural and cognitive systems; the evolutionary traits that have been significantly important for neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, and for the whole process of consciousness formation. In this way, I rely on the theoretical contribution, above all, of Alexander Luria; Antonio Damásio; Bears, Connors & Paradiso; Howard Gardner; Paul M. Churchland; Roberto Lent; Steven Pinker, among others.

The effect of emotional intelligence on the organizational teaching climate is a work of experiential experience in the educational field, which is based on the scientific bases: humanistic and psychological; where the dimensions of human potential, organizational design, organizational culture and psychological vulnerability are developed through a program of emotional intelligence of intrapersonal and interpersonal competence, social skills and psychological well-being that is provided to educational agents in order to offer an excellent institutional administrative management and great professional managerial usefulness.

The use of information technologies has revolutionized the way we communicate, providing great information immediately and in real time. Higher education is going through a time of transition, while the speed of technological advances is continually increasing worldwide, and the advances so necessary to design new conceptions of teaching and learning are not keeping pace.

At the beginning of the 20th century, many rulers began to concentrate resources on transforming Brazil into a modern and civilised country, in line above all with European standards. This process was also seen in Bahia, where many saw it as backward and opposed practices that were considered ancient - almost always associated with African heritage - to those that would be modern. In the state capital, Salvador, an ideal of modernity and civilisation was constructed through urban interventions and also linked to leisure, while practices that were unsuited to the new times were repelled. Cinema and sports appear as an important means of disseminating these ideals. To discuss these issues, the main source used in this work was Revista Artes & Artistas, a periodical that was published in Salvador from 1920 to 1924 and is considered to be the first cinema magazine in Brazil.

In this master's research, defended in 2013, the author lists four short stories from Marina Colasanti's The Leopard is a Delicate Animal: "Girl in Red on the Way to the Moon"; "The Leopard is a Delicate Animal"; "The Rules of the Game" and "Without Kneeling". The stories present rites of passage in different contexts, although they share the same metamorphic dynamic, characterised by passages, because there is a correspondence between the different modes of passage: from darkness to light, from the pre-existence of a human race to manifestation (mythical ancestor), from life to Death and the new post-mortem experience (the soul). The tales present characters who find themselves in transitional situations, of rupture and which lead them to a significant existential change. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to investigate the representations of rites in a contemporary and feminine narrative based on contemporary theorists such as Giorgio Agamben and Judith Butler, among others.

The teaching of science in primary school is progressively proving to be an area of great importance for the formation of a citizen, contributing to cultural, social and economic aspects. Based on the idea that the teaching-learning process is linked to the assessment of learning and that this plays an essential role in the acquisition and construction of scientific knowledge by the student. We sought to analyze the methodologies and assessment practices of science teaching in elementary school in the final grades by means of a literature review.

Whilst recognising the unprecedented nature of the research, we believe it to be an important record, which is why it is valid and useful for future researchers in the field and those curious about local gastronomy. This article examines the educational demand of Goma high school graduates still in school in 2022-2023. We wanted to know the factors associated with the decision to pursue higher education and university studies. Among the factors selected and analyzed were the student's intellectual ability, the ease of finding a job after graduation, and the availability of gainful employment. Overall, the results underline the importance of the science and technology field.

The research, seeks to expose the current situation of the substation of 115kv thermoelectric plant, currently the capacitor banks are developed to the full range, allowing the correction of the power factor, making a diagnosis of the situation of low power factor in the substation and the selection of the type of bank which will be used according to the electrical characteristics of the company was made. The components of a capacitor bank to increase the power factor were identified. Likewise, the types of the main electrical parameters are described. Being referred in great part to the analysis of the efficiency of the capacitor bank for the increase of the active power in electrical substations which, in turn, will serve as a pilot to be applied in other capacitor banks with similar characteristics. Making use of the systemic method to identify the causes of the increase of active power in the substations, which will lead to make decisions in the respective strategic plan.

This study aims to investigate the meaning produced by mental health users in relation to the condition of being institutionalised in a hospital, using the Brazilian Mental Health Policy as a reference base. The results show that the perception of mental disorder has its own characteristics for each participant, but shares the same idea: that mental disorder is considered a complex, bad and painful condition for those who experience it. Long stays in hospital, on the other hand, have several meanings: imprisonment, idleness, curing addiction and belonging to the institution, as they see the hospital as a resource they can count on in the absence of their families, but they make it clear that they don't want to live in that environment for long. We found that a large proportion of institutionalised people have a mental disorder, but these are complaints and symptoms that do not justify prolonged hospitalisation, not least because they are all being discharged and this is exclusively a political and social issue.

"Life is a great interdisciplinary endeavour". (Saul Castro Bacchieri Farias) - The Pedagogy course at the Methodist University Centre of the IPA, together with its teaching group, seeks to build praxis through supervised internships, working with instruments that instigate reflection on the actions of students. The purpose of this document is to describe and support didactic and practical situations developed during the curricular internship in teaching in the early years of primary school.

The aim of this research was to describe the interactions, practices, context and discourses that mothers in the zero to always programme in the rural area of the municipality of Marinilla have with their children aged 3 to 5 years and the relationship with their experiences of upbringing. An ethnographic approach was used and the techniques for data collection were participant observation and the focus group. Data analysis was carried out through the saturation of categories and subcategories, after which axial coding was carried out to analyse the data. The results show the importance of parenting beliefs as a fundamental basis for parenting patterns and practices.

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence that the emotional salary has on the job satisfaction of the administrative and operational personnel of the Intercultural Education District 15D01 Tena. It also seeks to identify the factors that stimulate workers within an organization to improve their quality of life and their production capacity, through the implementation of labor policies that help to promote a good working environment. In chapter one, the problem of the object of study is described and the objectives that will help to solve it are described. In chapter two, the theoretical framework is explained with a bibliographic base, which allowed understanding the necessary concepts such as salary and job satisfaction to carry out the research. Chapter three describes the methodology applied in the research, which was of a deductive-inductive type that helped to obtain the necessary information to detect the shortcomings of the problem and to be able to establish conclusions for its solution. Chapter four details the analysis, interpretation and discussion of the results obtained from the questionnaire.

Sociometry was developed by Jacobo Levy Moreno, who thought of it as a way of systematizing and objectifying the study of what he called microsociology, which covered the study of the subject within the group, the group as a living and dynamic entity, and the institution or community as a container of different types of groups. Plants in pediatric dentistry, a research opportunity addresses the evaluation and research of plant extracts and essential oils of some plants as well as the performance of different tests to measure their potential application in oral diseases and treatments in the area of dentistry, especially in the treatment of caries and pulp therapy in pediatric dentistry.Dental caries is a highly prevalent disease of multifactorial origin and one of the main public health problems worldwide. Early childhood caries is often considered the first cause of dental consultation in children and pulp therapy represents a common treatment in order to preserve the tooth. Plants represent a valuable research opportunity in pediatric dentistry.

In most of the Western world, the issue of induced abortion has gained wide social acceptance. This phenomenon has a correlate in the legislation of most Western liberal democracies, where the pregnant woman is allowed the possibility of "terminating her pregnancy" under increasingly less restrictive grounds, often unduly assuming the moral character of this action. This book is an attempt to elucidate this ethical dilemma and also seeks to inform the reader of the state of contemporary debate on this sensitive issue. To achieve these aims, the author proposes a progressive approach to the debate, beginning with basic elements such as the definition of the problem, the history of the problem and its determinants, and then proceeding to explore the legal and philosophical aspects of the phenomenon and, finally, to study the ontological status of prenatal human life. It is a book which, thanks to its rigorous and pedagogical nature, is accessible and relevant both for professionals in the field and for laymen, and which seeks, in turn, to provide a coherent contribution that makes ethical decision-making possible.

In this book I address three anthropological writings, one of them linked to symbols and death, another relating the religious and political fields, and a third the theme of raciality. In doing so, I attempt to address several themes linked to social anthropology. In the case of symbols and death there is a study of visual anthropology in a cemetery in the city of Montevideo, in the other the dialogue between religion and politics, specifically in the case of Umbandism, and the third explores the Artigas archive to link the participation of Afro-descendants and slaves in the Artiguista army from 1811 to 1820.

Nursing interventions in long-term care units, as a response to the needs of the people admitted there, need to be evaluated, and it is imperative to define indicators that are sensitive to nursing interventions. The Nursing Role Effectiveness Model analyzes the relationship between structure, process and outcome variables and is a research model, conceptually supporting the study presented, with the integration of the Self-Care Deficit Theory and the Transitions Theory. We identified the potential of nursing interventions in the context of the National Integrated Continuing Care Network, as a response to the needs of the elderly, and systematized indicators of health gains resulting from nursing interventions for the elderly in this context. The nursing interventions developed, based on the different dimensions of the proposed model, show the autonomous intervention of the nurse, allowing us to understand the achievement of sensitive results based on indicators for which formulas were constructed to support clinical decision-making in nursing.

Analog circuits were and are the basis of radio communications systems; however, some of them have evolved towards digital circuits developed in software, due to the emergence of embedded processors, and the need to minimize their size, power consumption, and maximize their security and reliability. This book describes the SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology and presents some laboratory experiences, in which HackRF One and RTL-SDR modules were used. The aim of this research is to explore SDR technology in order to offer new options for laboratory practices in radio frequency electronics courses. Thinking skills are nowadays one of the priorities and challenges of education in the context of a constantly changing world. However, their promotion has been restricted to higher educational levels and pigeonholed in the most complex thinking skills, causing students to reach middle-higher and higher education without adequately developed basic thinking skills, which makes it difficult for them to acquire more complex skills. In view of this, this book offers a method to promote basic thinking skills based on the use of concept maps, aimed at the elementary school level. The main skills taught are the identification of key concepts in school writings, as well as their relationship, classification and hierarchy in concept maps. For this purpose, a manual is provided for teachers, psychologists and other education professionals, which was tested with sixth graders at the aforementioned level, proving its effectiveness.

Equine babesiosis is one of the main parasitic diseases of horses and causes great damage to animal health, so detecting it as soon as possible makes treatment more successful. The aim of this book was to apply the real-time PCR technique (Q-PCR) to quantify equine Babesiosis using primers specific to the Babesia equi haemoparasite. The method used was the extraction of blood DNA from horses followed by amplification with specific primers for Babesia equi parasites. Two types of test were carried out: nested-PCR and Q-PCR to identify and quantify the parasite. Seven horses of the breed were analysed, three of which showed high levels of the parasite, although they had no clinical symptoms of the disease at the time of collection, but fell ill months later. This study opens up the prospect of using the Q-PCR technique to diagnose this equine pathology.

This work consists of an investigation into teaching work in the context of early childhood education. The study was guided by the cultural-historical perspective and its general objective was to identify and analyse the relationship between meaning and the senses of being a teacher in early childhood education. The study was carried out using a historical-dialectical materialist approach, in which the procedure used to produce the data was semi-structured interviews, in which four teachers from a CMEI Municipal Education Centre in Itumbiara-GO took part. The theoretical discussion sought to recover the category of work as a constituent of the human subject, and also addressed the paths surrounding the production of scientific knowledge and its relationship with the human constitution based on vital activity - in other words, work. The general categories proposed by Gyorgy Markús (1974): universality, sociality, freedom, nature and the category of man's consciousness, were fundamental to analysing teaching work, while the concept of alienation discussed by István Mészaros helped us to understand this activity in the context of early childhood education.

This book analyses aspects of the work of Brazilian thinker Alvaro Borges Vieira Pinto. Between 1955 and 1964, this philosopher was an active member of the Instituto Superior de Estudos Brasileiros (ISEB), which allows us to rethink the historical trajectory of a certain intellectual elite in the country, as well as providing a better understanding of issues relating to democracy and culture in the national reality.
