From a multidisciplinary perspective, this book presents studies on the state of Sergipe. Over the course of nine chapters, challenges and perspectives are pointed out and discussed with a focus on sustainability for tourism, education and violence prevention, which is why the book is structured in three parts: i) tourism and sustainable development; ii) education and social technologies; and iii) violence.It is worth noting that from a multidisciplinary perspective and using the United Nations' 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as a benchmark, the themes of tourism, education and violence are discussed in an integrated way and from different perspectives, demonstrating the necessary articulation of different areas of knowledge to deal with complex issues that in themselves have intersecting dynamics.This gathering of texts and perspectives is an invitation to the reader to think and talk about the current challenges facing Sergipe in terms of the objectives and goals of a more egalitarian and socially developed society.

The aim of this work is to assess the impact and explain the contribution of microcredit to the activities of micro and very small enterprises in the commune of SANGE. Specifically, it assesses the impact of access to microcredit on the performance of these businesses. Observational data were collected on a sample of one hundred and forty businesses, using a quasi-experimental method: the Propensity Score Matching technique. Performance is approximated by sales. The results show that there is a positive, but non-significant, influence of access to microcredit on the performance of micro and very small businesses in the SANGE commune.

Using a pedagogical-philosophical approach, the aim is to understand the meaning(s) of school Capoeira in the Early Years of Primary School, checking for possible contributions to an ethical-aesthetic education. Thus, Capoeira is understood as a Brazilian popular art, which has its own historicity and culturality, as well as its potential as an aesthetic experience. Consisting of multiple strategies, the art-fight finds in the perceptive body, the one that connects in complementarity not only singularities of the Capoeira universe, but sensations that can provoke understanding and manifestation with regard to conceptions and attitudes pertinent to the realisation of universal ethical principles, such as the recognition of plurality and otherness. Drawing on Friedrich Schiller, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Jürgen Habermas, Merleau-Ponty, Muleka Mwewa, Nadja Hermann, Richard Shusterman and Zygmunt Bauman, among others, the book interweaves knowledge, aesthetic perceptions and aspects of morality that help to emphasise the important relationship between education, aesthetics and ethics, which still remains quite out of place in pedagogical discussions in schools. All of this without losing its flair.

Pemex's efforts to increase its reserves have promoted exploratory studies of different disciplines in the Continental Shelf of the Gulf of Mexico. The Tampico-Misantla Basin is one of Mexico's oil basins. Exploration in the Tampico-Misantla Basin began around 1860, with exploitation starting in 1904. To date, 5 869 million barrels of oil and 8 447 billion cubic feet of gas have been produced; it accounts for 21% of crude oil equivalent reserves in 2018, of which 67% is oil and 37% is gas (Encuentro Internacional de Energía, Mexico 2019). This is a systematic study of representative species of benthic foraminifera found in sediments from the type area of the Miocene Escolín Formation of the Tampico-Misantla Sedimentary Basin, Veracruz State, Mexico. The morphology of the species is redescribed and illustrated.

The purpose of this book is to record the daily life of black dockworkers in their port work space; their identity as black citizens, as well as their perception as manual labourers and the relationship between this condition and their blackness. We used the concepts of social space, blackness, sociability and daily life to acquire the information that led us to recognise the fact: parallel to the bonds established in a social place, and financial gain, there is also the cultural recognition of black people, which is restricted to the mentality inherited by Brazil from its patriarchal and slave-owning past. The accounts of dockworkers of African descent in Rio Grande - RS from the 1990s correspond to a time frame that includes the previous decades, referring to dockworkers, most of whom were men of African descent with less schooling, coming from a proletarian class in the urban-port context.

The Centro de Investigaciones Interdisciplinarias para el Desarrollo Rural Integral (CIIDRI) of the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo in Mexico has developed in the last decade a successful experience of organic orange production, which allows for reduced production costs, higher production than conventional orchards and a price premium of more than 100% when sold in the organic market, The benefits of agroecological management include greater conservation and improvement of soils, protection of biodiversity, recycling of nutrients, use of local resources, obtaining fruit without agrochemicals for the consumer, and maintaining the health of growers and workers. The text includes a detailed description of the agroecological practices used for organic orange production and cultural practices, namely: plantation establishment, weed management, pruning, fertilization (composting, bocashi, vermiculture, reproduction of local microorganisms, supermagro, etc); ecological methods for pest and disease management (sulfocalcic broth, ash broth, Bordeaux broth, etc) and others.

In a changing and globalized world, creating new techniques and knowledge is of utmost importance for competitiveness in the market. Currently, the study of the relationship between innovation and development has been booming. Therefore, generating strategies and implementing policies that promote innovative culture has become a priority in nations. The objective of this research is to analyze the levels of innovation in Brazil and Chile, as well as to detect which factors influence innovative productivity, and then to make proposals to help improve these levels. Focusing on Brazil, Chile and the United States, the methodology consisted of a bibliographic analysis, using scientific articles on the subject of innovation. Likewise, a statistical analysis was carried out, considering 1995-2016 as the study period. The World Bank website, RICYT and the CACE research group were used to obtain data. The results obtained were a series of bibliographic findings, parameters, trend graphs and correlations of variables established as determinants in innovation.

In the year 2025, the impact of the hydrological waste of the affluent economic zones on the supply needs of the marginalized economic zones will be explained based on the theory of systemic competencies structured in six phases. The theme of male vanity in the city of Fortaleza, CE, whose objective is to understand the relationship between the aesthetic body practices of eleven clients who frequent the unisex beauty salon Presidente and the male beauty salon D`Flávio with their masculinities, because the body is relevant in these constructions. Despite these recurring practices, the interlocutors of this research emphasise in their speeches that they are "vain to a degree", justifying that they take care of the aesthetic appearance of their bodies because of work, ageing, health, hygiene and the demands of women as a way of making these actions utilitarian, dissociating them from "vanity for vanity's sake". For them, being "vain in measure" means being in a position between sloppiness and exaggeration, seen as negative attitudes, because sloppiness is detrimental to closeness, contact and trust in social and intimate relationships, and exaggeration is related to futility, mischaracterisation of oneself and going beyond the "limits" of masculinity.

This is the product of the work of a group of physicians specialized in Internal Medicine. The result of the clinical observation in a patient with lymphoma served as support for the generation of two review articles in international journals specialized in medicine with editorial arbitration whose primary objective was to disseminate to the medical community the association between neoplasms or tumors and the generation of lactic acid. The content and bibliographic support on the physiopathology of the alteration of the acid-base balance and tumors are presented. The first chapters include the most frequent hematological tumors, among which lymphomas and leukemias stand out. There follows a chapter on multiple myeloma and another on tumors of different organs and tissues. Finally, there is a chapter on tumors and hepatic insufficiency associated with lactic acidosis.

The aim of this paper is to demonstrate whether it is legally possible to regulate sex work on the basis of the provisions of the Federal Constitution of 1988 in Article 5, XIII, which deals with professional freedom, in the light of the principle of human dignity and the principle of non-discrimination, considering sex workers as subjects of domestic and international rights. From a theoretical point of view, this study is based mainly on Nucci's contributions on aspects of prostitution and its regulation, Cançado Trindade's reflections on the principle of non-discrimination adopted by international law, Piovesan's considerations with regard to human rights protection systems and the Gabriela Leite Bill, which is currently being processed in Brazil with the aim of regulating sex work. To do this, we will use bibliographical research as our methodology.

In Veracruz Mexico there is one of the few LGBT+ collectives that try to keep LGBT+ people and society in constant communication about news, policies, relevant to them, within their facebook group called "Comunidad Jarochos Alianza para la Inclusión y la Indiscriminación A.C.". So, with the knowledge acquired in the degree of Communication Sciences and with the help of the aforementioned group, I investigated and based on how the social network Facebook has served as a support for the advancement and strengthening of communication within the members of one of the most discriminated groups in history; the LGBT+ community. Also, some important facts about this group are mentioned, from Weimar Germany to the elimination of homosexuality from the World Health Organisation's manual of mental disorders. In addition, it shows the gender perspective that the community conveys within the social network and how the members of the community communicated with each other at the end of the 20th century, when the Internet was not popular and there was a more marked intolerance towards them.

In the present work of investigation we have as object of study Capitu, miniseries presented in five (5) chapters, transmitted by the television network Rede Globo in the year 2008, having as director Luiz Fernando Carvalho, who is characterized by making adaptations of literary works for television, being Capitu the adaptation for television of the literary work written by Machado de Assis Dom Casmurro. Within the work we highlight the space as a narrative resource, covering the space from the tele-dramaturgy and the audiovisual space, exploring the space from both a psychological and physical aspect in the television media. Capitu stands out for its hybrid character, that is to say; for containing different narrative elements, in this order of ideas for the second chapter, titled Languages, we explore the combination of the different media in the construction of the story, from a theatrical point of view, in which the tele-theatre is the format in which Capitu is presented.

Alternative methods of dispute resolution are currently encouraged in the business environment not only for the speed of processing but also the confidence that litigants have in the designated person. Arbitration is intended to be a perfect alternative method because it uses a conventional jurisdiction whose decision has the authority of res judicata.This work presents in a simple and practical manner the arbitration procedure in the Ohada space, ranging from the arbitration agreement which is the very engine of arbitral justice, to the constitution of the arbitral tribunal, the investigation of the case and the execution of the decision and the means of appeal.This work divides this analysis into two parts, the first only addresses the common rules of arbitration in the Ohada space adopted in the uniform act on arbitration and the second of rules specific to arbitration under the aegis of the common court of justice and arbitration.

This research sought to study the existence or not of the influence of capital - especially international capital - on higher education institutions, focusing on the problem that arises from the question of whether this influence would prevent the provision of quality teaching, with the adoption of methodologies that are in line with the institution, in other words, real higher education, as provided for in articles 206 and 209 of the Federal Constitution. After a historical contextualisation, making an analogy with the present day, it was found that public policies aimed at education have had a privativist outlook for a long time; through an authoritative historical exhumation. Through documentary research and relevant theoretical sources, the research was brought to the specific case - Anhanguera College in Anápolis.

Background. Migratory flows are due to processes of acculturation, multiculturalism and interculturalism from which hypotheses of assimilation, adaptation, selectivity and identity have been tested. Under such assumptions, it is possible to investigate phenomena of exclusion between natives and migrants that concern, in the organisational sphere, the stigma of training and quality of work. Aim. The purpose of the study was to establish the reliability and validity of an instrument that measured job stigma based on two dimensions related to training and quality of performance.

Inclusive education should be conceived as a process of addressing and responding to the diversity of needs of all learners through increased participation in learning and reducing exclusion from the education system.This implies changes and modifications of content, approaches, structures and strategies based on a common vision and the conviction that it is the responsibility of the education system to educate all children and adolescents.The purpose of inclusive education is to enable teachers and students to feel comfortable with diversity and to perceive it not as a problem, but as a challenge and an opportunity to enrich the learning environment.

We live in a situation of environmental catastrophe, crime, bankruptcy of values, hedonistic materialism, and there is no prospect of salvation. Despair leads man to search with anguish for some guideline to assimilate this disconcerting reality. The author of the book, from a philosophical perspective, offers us an interpretation of the background of this existential drama experienced by man. Over the years, the patterns of action of young offenders in Venezuela have changed. The present research was conducted from a phenomenological and social construction perspective, allowing, from a qualitative approach, the analysis of the construction of masculine identity and the search for respect and power of young delinquents, applying semi-structured interviews as a collection instrument, guided by an interview guide, which only served as a reference. When analysing the stories, the following aspects were observed: the initiation of the young people into the criminal world, the reasons that keep them in the criminal way of life, how they survive in this world and under whose influence they are influenced.

In 2009, with the adoption of the European Union's first macro-regional strategy and the entry into force of the Lisbon Treaty guaranteeing the Union's competence to complement, coordinate or support the actions of the Member States, tourism law was promoted from a branch in its own right since 1985 to an autonomous law. This Community policy has been based diachronically on the principle of integrating it into other sectoral policies and rules from other branches, such as the successive rail regulations (EC) 1371/2007 and (EU) 2021/782. The consumerist innovation of offering a ticket direct to the passenger, imposed by the latter regulation, illustrates a new principle, which consists of transport minimalism from a methodological point of view. In this vein, the rental of vehicles, which are usually small in size, has been promoted as a main service in package travel by Directive (EU) 2015/2302. In addition, the aforementioned regulation has upgraded the various forms of bicycles, inter alia by guaranteeing the right of rail passengers to take their bicycles with them on the train.
