The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of chemical and mechanical control on the formation of volatile sulphur compounds (VSC) in morning halitosis in healthy individuals, with products (gel, antiseptic and spray) that combine triclosan and zinc, compared to a placebo. A prospective, cross-over, randomised, single-blind study was carried out on a total sample of 14 individuals. For this, the subjects were randomly divided into four experimental groups, with all 14 volunteers participating in all groups: 1-) Antiseptic mouthwash (zinc chloride + triclosan solution, 8/8 hours); 2-) Spray (zinc chloride + triclosan 3x/day); 3-) Toothpaste (zinc chloride + triclosan) + tongue brush (3x/day); 4-) Negative control (placebo solution, 8/8 hours). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the three products used were effective in reducing the concentration of CSV in the morning breath of healthy individuals.

In this regard, the opinion of a leading forensic expert has been consulted, as well as studies and articles of interest to the problem raised.

Ceramic production is an artisanal activity. It enables producers to make a living and is considered an income-generating activity. This study highlights local production in the arrondissement of Moutourwa, showing the work of artisans, and the uses and impacts of ceramic production. To better understand our subject, we have adopted a diachronic and deductive approach to this administrative unit. The results of this research show that ceramics production is one of the most important activities in the Moutourwa district.

There is great variability in the shape and size of the skeleton of the different breeds of domestic dogs, the morphology of the skull being one of the most diverse characteristics of the canine, with brachycephalic, mesocephalic and dolichocephalic breeds, corresponding to short, medium and long skulls respectively. The formation of the brachycephalic skull is the result of early ankylosis of the craniofacial growth plates, resulting in a shortening of the cranial and facial axis of the skull. Some studies indicate that the size and appearance of the skull is closely related to the size and appearance of the long bones, as there is a positive correlation between the width and length of both structures. Consequently, in the present investigation we sought to evaluate whether there are differences in the percentages of growth plate closure in the proximal epiphysis of the ulna between brachycephalic and mesocephalic dogs.

Education in Colombia should be considered a vital right of every citizen and its continuous fulfilment should be ensured, especially for vulnerable populations that have limited access due to their living conditions, more precisely with the population between 14 and 17 years of age in the locality of Usaquén. Although there are many actors involved in the education of young people, few tools are used to ensure that the community recognises this right as a basis for improving their quality of life. The main factors that affect the education system are reflected in the low investment it receives from the government and especially the lack of reforms to the student plan, which is where the aim is to integrate formal education with the informal education that is provided in the locality and that allows for the expansion of the knowledge of the students who are part of this community.

There are several researchers who have spent a lifetime trying to understand and explain the functionality of the frontal lobes, as well as other great authors have addressed the naturalness or the way that explains the reason for some habits in people with different characteristics. Consulting great texts, among these Damásio; Bravo Espinoza; Bolaños, P; Flores, J; among others, what I tried to do was to make, from the respect that the authors and researchers consulted deserve, my own approach, transferring inexplicable aspects from my personal understanding to my closest "scientific" possibility. For this reason, this project was born, which was originally entitled "Eating habits, inhibitory control, detection and selection of risk-benefit and performance judgment in people with type 2 obesity and normo-weight people". As a result, I obtained true hypotheses, some of them failed, but, above all, the relationship and closeness with human beings who in several occasions are judged by a condition that becomes a reflection of those who suffer from some label of the society.

The analysis of the Right to Water, its implementation, and the design of guarantees that allow every inhabitant of our land to have water in sufficient quantity and adequate quality, require, in my opinion, prior knowledge of the basis of human development, of the availability of water resources on our planet, in our continent, and in our country, of their sustainability, of the uses of water, and of the importance of water for the development of humanity. For this reason, the following paper comments on aspects of these issues, which are considered substantial. The length of these comments has been limited as much as possible, trying not to divert attention from the main objectives of the text, which are to learn about the reality of water issues; to evaluate water as a human right; to evaluate water as a state policy; to examine possible guarantees of this right; and to propose a legal system in this sense, to encourage the start of an in-depth debate on the subject.

This book is devoted to a survey of non-normal partitions of hyperbolic space, in particular a survey of irregular partitions of K. Beretsky and some useful consequences of the proposed constructions. With the help of this partition (Beretsky's), it is easy to construct examples of non-normal partitions of n-dimensional hyperbolic space (constructive proof of the existence theorem) by equal compact convex polyhedra and these partitions cannot be transformed into regular ones by transposing the partition polyhedra. In this paper we note some possible generalisations of the construction of K. Beretsky, which, in most cases, also allow to construct non-normal partitions. The peculiarities of the partitions allow one to constructively prove some general statements concerning, for example, Delaunay point systems and Delaunay partitions. The publication also discusses the question of the number of hyperfacets of a (hyperbolic) tie.

This work has studied how the pedagogical and technological aspects, social benefits and the reputation of the educational platform Google Apps for Education influence the student's trust and to what extent this trust developed by the student determines their affective commitment and academic performance. Therefore, this research in its development, operationalises the relationship marketing approach in education; understanding educational relationship marketing as a driver of the establishment and adoption of the relationships that the student builds through an educational platform and that is developed by the information that the teacher programmes for their class from the curriculum. Consequently, it was assessed how the learner builds and develops trust and affective commitment for an educational platform. Furthermore, the most relevant aspects of signalling theory have been discussed, which externalises the basic components involved in the signalling process and the phenomenon of information asymmetry that any process of adoption by an educational platform can harbour. Finally, the importance of ICT is also highlighted.

Immunology is the science that studies the reactions induced within a living organism by the introduction of foreign substances. There are many pieces, and more are being discovered every day. The aim is to understand how they fit together. The immune system is the result of a long evolutionary process that has led to a construction that is both simple and sophisticated, the aim of which is to provide a living organism with an effective defence system that is essential for its survival. The enormous progress made in fundamental immunology in recent years has only been possible thanks to the optimisation of new technologies. Used in clinical laboratories, these new approaches are proving to be highly informative and can be transferred to laboratories carrying out routine analyses. Organ transplantation is a very good example of the need to strengthen laboratory tests for measuring immunity.

After the first book and the satisfaction, as well as the acceptance; in this second work, I intend to continue making my mark, showing my life experience of living with Infantile Cerebral Palsy and having a life full of successes, a mark from a life different to that of any other person, which I consider great despite the adversities. I do not pretend to be an example of life, but rather a testimony of what it is possible to be, with determination, emotion and persistence.

With this group of patients chosen at La Manuelita Foundation, my main objective has been to learn how to establish an environment with the right tools to foster transcendental experiences through an artistic branch inherent to human beings, music. Within La Manuelita I found myself facing great challenges: Would I be able to guide the grandparents to have a special musical experience that would connect them with themselves and contribute to their sense of life by establishing a relationship of affection, love and respect? Would I be able to investigate deeply about them? Would I be able to understand and explain the interpersonal relationships that are present between us and how these relationships intervene with the musical work? The answer took several weeks to come. After some difficult beginnings where I lacked ideas to achieve my goals, I found myself. In the blink of an eye this interesting journey took off.

The disease is likely to proliferate in the Ingbokolo and Aru areas. As of June 30, the authorities had registered 80,775 South Sudanese refugees in the provinces of Haut-Uélé and Ituri. The Territory of Aru (Ituri Province) is home to almost 43,000 South Sudanese refugees. For more than a decade, the territory of Aru has been spared the activism of armed groups, but is now receiving South Sudanese refugees. Between 2021 and 2022, the Aru territory received more than 66,000 displaced persons, including more than 40,000 in the Biringi health zone alone. Some of the displaced are survivors of armed violence in Mahagi territory.

The risks of evolution and repercussions of scoliosis in adulthood make screening, treatment and follow-up imperatives that should not be underestimated. The aim of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes and practices of pediatricians and orthopedic surgeons in Antananarivo regarding idiopathic scoliosis. The study was an observational, descriptive and analytical, multicentre, questionnaire-based study. The ages given to initiate screening were for infantile scoliosis (63% of pediatricians; 33.33% of surgeons). Pediatricians recommended annual screening before (N=15; 45.45%) and during puberty (N=21; 63.63%); half-yearly screening before (N=10; 47.61%) and annually during puberty (N=12; 57.14%) for surgeons. There was a lack of precision as to which X-ray should be prescribed to confirm the diagnosis. Only 10 pediatricians and 3 surgeons would refer the child to Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) as soon as the diagnosis was made. Six pediatricians and two surgeons recommended never stopping follow-up. Their level of knowledge, attitude and practice on the subject was classified as "low" (mean=10.11 points/42).

The LMD is an education system based on a high percentage of competences, which implies not only the acquisition of these theoretically but also practically. Although the education system may leave a gap for each institution to shape the curriculum and define the content of different teaching units, the acquisition of competencies remains the main objective.This manual is a tool to accompany the same vision so that the community can have a glimmer of hope in terms of what can be done in the future. Skill acquisition ranges from knowledge and understanding of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, to job references and exercises that can connect the community and the learner so that they can become aware of their contribution to the country's evolution.We shouldn't study for formality with the simple aim of graduating like any other person, we should study to be a solution.

The work includes the global plan for teaching the subject of national taxation, its content will provide students with the necessary orientation to learn about the national tax system, applying it in a practical way, developing cases, using group dynamics, which will help them to understand the functioning of the national tax system, and how it affects the country's economy. The syllabus comprises five units, taking into account the history of taxes, up to the current tax configuration, explaining the value added tax, the transaction tax, the VAT complementary regime, and finally the tax on company profits. This will help students to apply and solve tax problems in their professional and academic life. The methodology will be based on competences, taking into account the combination of knowledge, skills and abilities, represented in the three skills: knowing-knowing, knowing-doing, and knowing-being. The subject will be developed to build knowledge and improve attitudinal skills, through the proposed group and individual activities.

For the reader interested in the work in hand, it is important to point out that this is an important book on governance and social participation. Why? Because in this singular study, it will be possible to appreciate, with meridian clarity, the way in which knowledge from different subjects, located in the heart of the social sciences, interact; all of them determined to give due account of their peculiarities and their linkages. In this case, a multidisciplinary approach was adopted, since this book is intended to be useful for people trained in different areas: social work, economics, psychology, sociology, among others.

The aggressive behaviour of children in the "Los Chilenitos" Children's Circle in Ciego de Avila, Cuba, is studied. This is manifested in disobedience at home and at the Children's Circle, mistreatment among peers, lack of respect towards teachers and parents, and inappropriate behaviour that hinders their development. The initial diagnosis covers the educational and family spheres, both of which are inextricably linked. Theoretical methods and empirical techniques, procedures and methods were used, such as participatory observation throughout the process, interviews with parents, educators and the director of the centre, as well as the review of documents, an observation guide of the preschoolers' play activities, free drawing and Madelaine Thomas Rey's cartoons, for the triangulation of the results. The findings showed that 42.9% of the sample showed aggressive behaviour and an organised, planned and coherent system of actions was designed to reduce the behaviour, including activities and tasks, parameters for evaluation and recommendations for implementation.

This book questions what is in common between the photographs taken by David Davis, a common Facebook user, and those of thousands of other users; how can the practice of accumulation and appropriation of images serve as strategies to reflect on the construction of the individual in the digital age? Based on Aby Warburg's concepts of engram and pathosformel, and José Luis Brea's e-image, we observe how social networks have diluted individual subjectivity in a kind of common pit of shared experience, of simulated intersubjectivity. In the end, we show how the transmission and circulation of photographs in social networks -such as Instagram and Facebook- has colonized subjectivity, through a promise of apparent originality, which in the end leads to a ghostly space, inhabited by appearances that, despite their effort to achieve difference, become distorted reflections, dynamic fractals.

This study revealed a predominance of male patients (69%) and female patients (31%), with a ratio of 2:1 respectively. It was shown that the age group at highest risk were those patients between the sixth and seventh decade of life in 34% of the total cases. The predisposing factor for upper gastrointestinal bleeding was found to be the indiscriminate use of NSAIDs, which was revealed in 28% of the total sample, followed by gastritis and alcohol and tobacco consumption in 25%, 13% of the patients had a history of chronic liver disease and finally 9% were tobacco users. Finally, it was determined that the most life-threatening complication was Hypovolemic Shock, causing death in 29.4% of the cases whose complication was Hypovolemic Shock.
