In religious beliefs and rites, the attitudes, behaviours and actions of devotion are neither simple nor insignificant; they have symbolism, a spiritual dimension; they are demarcated and shrouded in sacredness. Semiotics applied to religion encompasses this ineffable symbolism and the symbols that form a discourse that does not manifest itself verbally, combining signifiers (the material, formal and perceptible part of the sign) and signifieds (semantic content). Since semiotics is the science that studies the life of signs within social life, we understand what the signs of religious experiences and practices are based on. The symbolic function is a mental activity of sign representation of something absent, but represented, symbolised and signified, such as transcendental, metaphysical, mystical, abstract, intangible and ineffable elements and entities that cannot be immanent. Therefore, religion (a system for configuring identity and existence) and symbols (a meaning-producing system) are inherent to human beings. There are no forms of human life without religion or symbols. Both are semiotic systems.

Food is defined as a solid substance whose mission is essentially to satisfy hunger and contribute to nutrition in order to survive. However, food is part of social coexistence and of the characteristics and customs of a population. In other words, a good meal reflects the state of health, the development environment and finally the assimilation of nutrients. They say that "love is born in the stomach, and dies in the heart, rarely passing through the head" and Guerrero is an example of a region where the affection of its people is represented in a good dish, appetizing to the palate and other senses. Guerrero is a state of diversity represented by 7 regions with different customs and traditions. The northern region or zone has a mostly warm climate where a variety of products are harvested that exemplify the richness of Guerrero's food. The intention of this book is to provide a healthy guide with a variety of products that can be found within the region to support the preparation of food without affecting its nutritional contribution.

In the current context, citizenship education is a process that is part of the socialisation of individuals whose purpose is education in social values, such as responsibility and participation, which cooperate in the development of supportive behaviour, based on full identification with the community and respect for coexistence. In this purpose, all institutions and organisations with educational functions in the community are called upon to collaborate, which marks the need to rethink new variants that include the socio-cultural contextualisation of the citizenship training of students in the pedagogical careers for a sustainable local human development, This is based on a pedagogical intentionality that is oriented towards the conscious development achieved in the formation of values, patriotic and political-ideological preparation, as well as the economic and legal awareness that is required in the current conditions of the world.

The indicators of the current pandemic speak for themselves: nearly 500 million people are currently living with diabetes. Low- and middle-income countries bear almost 80% of the diabetes burden. Diabetes-related healthcare expenditures in adults (20-79 years) in 2017 were estimated at around $727 billion.

The book deals with the reuse of waste, which is a great alternative for preserving natural resources and the environment. In this sense, LD steel slag is one of the most generated waste products in steel mills. It is estimated that for every tonne of steel produced, around 150 kg of steel slag is generated in the LD process. Generally, newly produced LD steel slag is volumetrically unstable and has expansive characteristics, which is why it should be used after stabilisation studies have been carried out. The aim of this work was to develop and implement a methodology for the chemical stabilisation of LD steel slag for use as railway ballast on signalised tracks. The aim is to definitively characterise the use of steel slag on a large scale as railway ballast. During this process, extensive field campaigns were carried out to characterise the slag chemically, geo-mechanically, physically and environmentally, before and after the stabilisation process. The results showed a significant reduction in the expansive potential of the materials, making it possible to use them.

More than a century and a half has passed since the tragic event that took place in the city of San Carlos on 10 January 1860, when the federal leader Ezequiel Zamora began the siege of the city in his advance towards the capital of the Republic, as part of a military campaign launched on 26 February 1859 in the city of Coro. According to some history scholars, the essence of the Federal Revolution died with the death of General Zamora in San Carlos. A century and a half later, as a consequence of the Venezuelan historical-political situation, Zamora's image became an icon for the so-called Bolivarian Revolution, in power since 1999, which turned this historical figure into an emblem of its political project. In order to gain a more objective knowledge of the facts related to Zamora's death and the whereabouts of his remains, this book is the result of an exhaustive research work in which different versions and opinions on the subject are included, so that the reader can get to know each of the versions and interpretations that have been made on the subject.

Assessment is "the most powerful weapon teachers have to influence the way students learn and guide their training. One of the main challenges facing teachers at the Universidad de Occidente-Managua is to move from traditional models of assessment, clearly focused on exams and grading, to models of formative assessment, focused on improving learning. Formative assessment seeks to generate systematic processes of self-reflection on one's own learning, so that students develop greater control over learning to learn. The book reinforces the criterion that formative assessment emphasises qualitative aspects, as it constitutes a permanent analytical observation of the student's learning process by generating continuous feedback on the effectiveness of what is learned and the way in which it is learned, in order to enable the modification, improvement and enhancement of both from a humanising perspective and not merely as a qualifier.

The aim of this book is to show how IT can contribute to providing accurate figures for the administrative population census. When this counting operation is carried out without the support of NICTs, the data relating to the count is tedious and can only be estimated by statistical methods. The book shows the various stages involved in implementing an IT solution capable of managing the information linked to the population count using a database, and automating each of the algorithms.

The province of Jujuy has approximately 213 institutions that serve vulnerable groups. The institution as such constitutes a space of constant interaction, communication and learning where, in addition, conceptions of health and nutrition are produced and reproduced which intervene in the lives of the subjects, in their perceptions, habits and decision-making. Most of the institutions are limited exclusively to the lunch service, a welfare character that limits the institution and blurs the needs of the children and adolescents who attend the canteen, as we will be able to observe and deepen throughout this book by investigating the conceptions of health and nutrition that underlie the employees of the children's canteen, how the regulations in force in the institution define a specific concept of health and what are the social, cultural, educational and economic factors that influence the establishment of a healthy and nutritious menu, among other issues. It also includes an intervention project created on the basis of the conclusions reached, with the aim of strengthening the children's canteen.

In Brazil, due to its vast territory, cargo movements should be carried out using an intermodal transport model associated with cabotage (cargo transport between ports in the same country). Brazil has more than 7,000 kilometres of coastline, and this natural feature makes coastal transport a viable and important link for healthy integration between modes. Firstly, we need to adjust the legislation (which is outdated and rigid), reduce bureaucracy and improve the Brazilian infrastructure. However, just as important is analysing the capacity of transport companies to offer a sustainable service from the perspective of the "Triple Botton Line" (sustainability tripod: economic, social and environmental). These three elements must establish a harmonious relationship in order to ratify the sustainable success of an organisation, i.e. on the economic side, it must generate profit for shareholders; the impacts that the company causes on its stakeholders (people who impact or are impacted by the activities of an organisation) must ratify social sustainability and; producing without harming the environment makes the company environmentally sustainable.

Biblical texts are the result of a historical-literary process in which societies and cultures make themselves present through symbolic representations and languages. In this way, biblical research makes it essential to study the sources of early Christianity through historical-anthropological concepts. From the perspective of analysing identities, Gal 3:26-29 reflects and suggests the interaction between ethnic and socio-cultural groups, observing differences and unity in Christ Jesus; and the recognition of identities based on the dynamics of social, ethnic and geographical boundaries. From the theological and anthropological points of view, we approach the sociocultural and religious conceptual components that the text suggests, as well as the symbolic representations that emerge from the interaction between Christians as early as the first century. Therefore, for Pauline Christianity in Galatia, the conception of Judaism, in its relationship with Hellenism, does not constitute a stagnant entity in simple opposition to it; they are in continuous movement of interaction across borders and, in their diversity, make it possible to understand the emergence of fluid identities in formation.

The purpose of this paper is to provide guidelines for the determination of the object of the controversy and the establishment of the points in debate, bearing in mind the unrestricted respect for the constitutional right to evidence and the right to the motivation of the sentence, in the current context of the oral process by hearings that the General Organic Code of Proceedings (COGEP) put into effect for tax matters and for other subjects; and, to this end, in the context of our constitutional and legal framework, we analyse the pronouncements of both doctrine and jurisprudence, especially Uruguayan, Peruvian and Spanish, to highlight the problem of establishing the object of the controversy, as well as its transcendence for the right to evidence and motivation, all of which leads us to propose two points of reform to the COGEP and suggestions for the academy (universities) and for legal scholars.

This master's thesis entitled "Smart and Fit" examines the differences in sports motor skills between pupils at urban schools and pupils at rural schools. The aim of the study is to find out whether there are significant differences in sports motor performance between pupils at different school locations. The data was collected at schools in Upper Austria, Salzburg and Tyrol, with Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck defined as urban regions. The results show that regional differences have an influence on pupils' sport motor skills.

The introduction of improved seeds, GMOs, comes with the background of the green revolution, where the fundamental idea was to mitigate hunger with the exponential production of food worldwide. The entry of GM seeds brings with it multiple risks to soil, soil micro fauna and human life. While land remains an important factor in agricultural production, it is also an important factor in most branches of industry, but by no means in all, as it is impossible to control production in a way that revolutionises the entire production process. In industry, mechanisation allowed the production process to be broken down into a series of steps that are carried out at the same time.

This project was elaborated as a result of the educational improvement proposal based on the Competency Approach, in the subject of Quechua II in the career of Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching. Also, the strategies. Therefore, the contents of learning theories are developed to reach the objective. In addition, the work carried out from a competency-based approach for the development of communicative skills in the language. The process of the construction of the global plan was carried out following the proposed methodologies, which allows the teacher to follow the theory and methodologically in the teaching of the Quechua language by competences, so also, the students achieve an integral learning. Likewise, the professionals can have cognitive skills and communicative competence. Finally, this pedagogical project by competences, we suggest to continue with the elaboration of educational proposals oriented with the Competence Approach for the teaching and learning of the native Quechua language of Bolivia. Also strengthen the development of communicative interaction in contexts, in the Quechua language.

The aim of this book is to construct financial condition indicators for the municipalities of Minas Gerais using budgetary and accounting variables such as assets, liabilities and liquidated expenses, classifying them into cash solvency, budgetary solvency, long-term solvency and service solvency. In addition, the potential determinants of municipal financial condition were studied by means of social, economic and demographic variables using the regression statistical model. Based on the information contained in the Brazilian Public Sector Accounting and Fiscal Information System for 2018, 11 financial condition indicators were constructed based on the literature, with emphasis on the work of Wang, Dennis and Tu (2007) and Gonçalves (2018). The descriptive statistics of the indicators constructed evaluated possible behaviors related to the size of the municipalities and the mesoregion in which they are located and their distributions.

In this paper a series of concepts will be analysed for research and clarification purposes with regard to the relationship between burnout syndrome and what motivates health professionals involved in a neuro-rehabilitation centre. First of all, we will explain why we talk about burnout syndrome and its relationship with the work of health staff and then include an important term in contrast to burnout: engagment. The incorporation of the concept of employee engagement is important as a framework for the elaboration and design of HR practices and policies oriented towards the development of positive human, social and psychological capital.The ways of relating, the work environment, the quantity and quality of work performed, the possibility of growth offered and the set of economic factors that are generated around a healthy workspace are determining aspects for engagment and reduce the chances of the appearance of burnout syndrome.

In general terms, this thesis develops a conclusive, descriptive, cross-sectional and non-experimental (non-probabilistic) research. With the objective of analyzing the perception of teachers about the leadership and school management carried out by the principals of high schools and high schools in the Northwest of Guanajuato. Undoubtedly, a dichotomy presented by the results is regarding the vision formulated by the schools in which the students are focused and the identification of needs that these require, since while these two items present the highest mean with 3.90 and 3.92 respectively. In practice, the following happens: student learning is not prioritized (3.45), teachers do not reflect with directive feedback or it does not exist (2.80), principals sometimes advise teachers (3.01), results are rarely used to evaluate pedagogical objectives (3.12) and, finally, teachers are sometimes accompanied in their plan (2.80).

The paper considers doctrinal approaches to the definition of the essence of legal consciousness and legal protection of citizens, as well as the place, role and importance of legal consciousness in the mechanism of protection of rights and freedoms of citizens from general theoretical positions.The conclusion is substantiated, according to which legal consciousness in the above mechanism includes awareness of the essence of law as a regulator of social relations, evaluation of law in the aspect of its social utility, understanding of the need for lawful behavior, compliance with the law and order, as well as the choice of means to protect the violated right, perception and comprehension of the results of the implementation of the right.Some ways and forms of optimizing the mechanism of implementation of the rights and freedoms of citizens are proposed.

Perhaps the whole pathos of this work consists not only in constructing a theory describing the system of art as a form of consciousness, but also in studying the foundations of this system (taste and myth as the beginnings of art in their dialectics) in the process of determining the status of art as an original, self-sufficient phenomenon, not reducible, exclusively to an object or a subject, a society or an individual. Art is neither a sum nor a reflection of the consciousness of others, but in fact - and this is the personalistic tone of the prolegomena of this work - an independent Essence! Art is not a parallel reality into which man flees from the humdrum of everyday existence, but a unique form of spiritual awareness, a realization of the universality of being itself. Art is a sphere of spiritual and material activity in which there is no imitation of organic phenomena or adaptation to natural phenomena of colors, stone, metal, sound, etc., but giving them life. Creativity, in fact, is first of all a process of revitalizing matter, it is a cycle of translating artistic material into "artistic flesh", in the process of creating works of art.

All this at a critical time for antimicrobial treatment due to the increase in multi-resistant microorganisms and the absence of short-term alternatives. Urinary tract infections in women is a serious public health problem worldwide and is the second most frequent pathology of infectious origin after those related to the respiratory tract. In women, UTIs are the fourth most common cause of emergency department visits. The text describes the risk factors associated with the development of urinary tract infection in pregnant women in the province of Ciego de Avila.

The monograph is devoted to the study of the influence of linear yarn density of double-layer knitted fabric on its technological parameters and physical and mechanical properties. Products made of knitted fabric should be resistant to mechanical and physical effects experienced by the garment during wear, i.e. they should withstand repeated bending, stretching, abrasion, have the ability to stretch and restore its shape, resist the effects of light and weather, washing, etc. It is of interest to study the interaction of layers in the plane of the fabric, as it affects the parameters of the two-layer knitted fabric. The layers will not affect each other in the plane of the knitted fabric if the parameters of the constituent weaves are the same and the joining elements have equal effect on the loops of the front and back sides. The effect of one layer on another depends on the type of yarn, its mechanical properties: the more elastic the yarn, the greater the change in parameters with increasing linear density.

In Burkina Faso, Detarium microcarpum is a species of great socio-economic importance. The heavy exploitation of the species means that it is threatened with extinction in some parts of the country. The study shows that local populations use D. microcarpum for food, energy, medicinal purposes, handicrafts, fodder and building materials. The products they use most are wood and fruit to meet their basic needs. There are no specific local management rules for the species, but it benefits from the same local protection measures as all other woody species.D. microcarpum stands and associated species are stable in the communes of Sapouy and Gao. But this stability is threatened by strong anthropic pressures. Juvenile individuals of the species show an unstable structure. This situation is thought to be caused by uncontrolled fires. For better conservation of plant biodiversity in these stands, it is imperative to support local populations to improve local strategies and make them more effective.
