  • - Aliens and Confrontation
    von Edward Skinner
    35,00 €

Skinner records his experiences of many years with both positive and negative alien beings. The main negative alien group impacting our planet is the alien Zetas. They are the ones who are most responsible for harassing and abducting human beings. The main positive alien group is the Pleiadians. Along with other constructive services for planet Earth they will help mankind with the distortions and hardships brought to humanity by the dark alien Zetas. Many humans are abducted by the alien Zetas without the humans having any recall of their abduction experiences. While in Zeta custody, human beings are used by the Zetas for experimentation. Some humans do not come back alive from these Zeta experiments on them. In addition, Zetas impregnate human females to produce hybrid human fetuses and steal the fetuses back in about four months to be raised by the Zetas in one of their many remote land bases here on planet Earth. Once matured the hybrid human is released into our culture to mingle among us here on the planet and to assist in further kidnappings of humans. Zetas have colonization goals on Earth. The alien Zetas are the masters of mental manipulation of humans from behind an unseen Veil to get humans to do their bidding. They do not need weapons to get humans to board their spaceships. All is not lost, however. The alien Zetas have trouble with the "Light" which they generally have to retreat from. The Light is an ethereal energy source in existence and is the human's Divine gift from God. By calling on the Light a human abduction target may get harassed some by the Zetas but generally will not be abducted. The Zetas retreat from the Light and that is where the human being begins to take up for himself or herself until they are "strong enough" to mentally tune the Zetas out when they are around. The Light is in every human and each human is connected to it in its other-dimensional unseen (unless you have psychic abilities) world as he or she chooses. Skinner reminds us there are many positive Worlds of Goodness (both angels and positive aliens) that will provide constructive support for the human race in our progression here on Earth. Most aliens (Skinner has had interaction with many different alien groups as well as angelic beings) operate in a fourth-dimensional reality unless they want to be seen by humans in our three-dimensional reality. Skinner also reminds that there are many humans who will go to their graves swearing they did not have an alien sighting or abduction experience when the reality is, they did and blocked it out.

  • - The End of Our World and What Happens Next
von Robert E Lorimer Th M Ed S
    26,00 €

This is written for believers in and followers of Jesus Christ in Protestant, Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches, my sisters and brothers in Christ. Many Evangelical and Pentecostal believers will already be familiar with the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Christian Bible. But, for others that book has been counted as too mysterious or non-relevant for teaching and preaching at this time. However, it appears to become more relevant for our world in the 21st Century.Old and New Testament prophecies appear to be heading toward to what the Bible calls the Day of the Lord and the End of the Age. The Book of Revelation gives a description of events that will happen as God's plan for the ages comes to an end.Revelation chapter 1, verse 3 says, "Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near." That was written almost 2,000 years ago, so "the time" is that much closer. The word "blessed" can mean "happy." The word "keep" means to "keep safe." It is important for followers of Jesus Christ in our day to be aware of what lies ahead for the Church, it is our hope and our joy, leading to holy living. In this book terms such as Apocalypse, the Tribulation, Anti-Christ, the False-Prophet, Rapture of the Church, Armageddon, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the End of the Age and others are explained. Blest and happy and hopeful is God's promise for those who read and hear the words of this book, and keep it safe for others. The time may be nearer than we may expect. There is Heaven to gain, and Hell to escape for those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

  • - Volume One - Ancestors of Jay L Smith
    von Leo Jay Smith
    65,00 €

Although the Smith family name is common, the story of this Smith family is anything but common. This history begins with the ancestors that arrived in the British Colonies of North America in the early 1600's. The majority of the book is made up of the biographies of five generations of the family that are primarily based on first and second hand sources. Some memories are quoted in the text to give a personal perspective. The direct line ancestors of family were expelled from Nauvoo, Illinois in 1846 with other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They faced great hardship crossing the planes and then had to establish homes in the wilderness. The suffering and dedication of those people is inspirational. This family played a significant role in the settlement of the community of Daniel in Heber Valley, Utah. The accounts go up to the 1980's.

The boss, (oh, I work at The Opinionated Daily News, just call me George)...ah... stuck... uh....assigned... me to interview turtles, terrapins, and tortoises at La Cite` du Tortoises, which is located in Pennsylvania. The boss ordered a series of articles on how these creatures lived so I managed to get several life stories from them, and I can't stress enough, these turtles are peculiar! Sam and his friends get themselves into some weird situations. Like shopkeeper Walter Wall, who made a grab for a bug, over reached himself and slud (not MY word) into the crik (Pennsylvania Dutch for creek), and floated unwillingly and unhappily down the crik, eventually ending belly up in Johnstown. Through a series of rescues he finally arrived home... which annoyed some "friends". When the turtles were being collected by bad men, Alice, the snapping turtle, joined the resistance and fortunately, all were saved. Jock, the Lock-box turtle has an amazing ability to literally close up shop and completely hide himself in his house, (his secret- hinges on the bottom shell); he and his buddy, tiny Bog turtle, Herkimer, joined in feasting in farmer John's garden, (they called it borrowing), happily gobbling up his delectable produce, and sometimes joined the group which meets in La Tortoise Bar and Grill most evenings. Due to the turtle's misuse, abuse, and mangling of the good King's English, I have translated and transcribed these articles and have sent them to the paper. Believe me: I am NOT responsible for the results. Groan. Their instructions: all visitors should bring carrots!

  • - The Place to Start: A 21st Century Essay on Identity and Survival
von Ronald D Means Ph D
    18,00 €

We have entered an age of gathering shadows, of existential threats which could cascade together into an obliterating storm: climate change and its accumulating fallouts; the darkening possibilities of nuclear war; the undermining of our life supporting environment; the risks of uncontrollable pandemics; of massive displacements of populations, of genocidal conflicts, of economic overreach and collapse, of tyrannical restrictions on freedom, thought, and constructive creativity. As severely limited human beings what can we do to work our way through and around this imposing wall of fear? This book offers no easy answers to these 21st Century challenges, or to others not listed which are part of an overpowering mix: the impacts of the digital revolution, of AI, cyber war, and the destruction of occupations; of breakdowns in the international order; of pervasive failures in governance. But instead, the author proposes the place to start, an appeal to individuals, one at a time, to cultivate a moral stance which may strengthen their identities, help them internalize freedom, stand back from imprisoning surroundings, and address with imagination, understanding, and humility whatever existential threats are impinging on their lives. The transformative power of this approach depends entirely on collaboration of those who adopt it, along with those across the world who are already implicitly committed to it in outlook and behavior. For the defense of the human prospect there may be no better opening.

  • - How You Create Value
    von Charles Asubonten
    19,00 €

Unless a business provides value, it will fail. We all know this, and yet many of us, whether employees or business leaders, do not have a clear idea of who creates value and how. What the CFO Wants You to Know is an indispensable guide to creating value in an enterprise, drawing on the extensive experience of serial CFO and author Charles Asubonten. While many books focus on the CFO as a financial engineer, Asubonten's compelling thesis is that the CFO is a catalyst who inspires employees to get on board in the value-creation process and that every employee needs to be cognizant of and committed to their role in value-creation. When employees know what the CFO must do to create value and how each employee affects that process, a more lasting, resonant, and energized workforce is the exciting result. Focused not only on value-creation, this book also shows how value is sustained. From the novice who has always wondered about the CFO's role to the seasoned CFO who needs a refresher in today's changing business climate, What the CFO Wants You to Know is a resource for business leadership, employees, shareholders, the Board of Directors, and the community.

  • - I was looking for a great job and the perfect wife.
    von Ed Lane
    45,00 €

The inspiring story of how one adventuresome cowboy found love and a ready-made family.A late evening during the South American summer of 1975, Ed drove his small station wagon deep into the Amazon jungle trying to find a friend's home. He was accompanied by a local guide and a retired missionary who had worked in the region for many years. The jungle was thick, the road treacherous, darkness had settled in, and the guide had just a general notion of where to go. They avoided getting stuck in a sandbar, found an unmarked bridge to go across a swamp, drove through pastures and fields.A series of events including tragedy, near death experiences, and much travel, came together to form a story of death, resilience, courage, love, and hope. Even as an eight-year-old, Ed, his parents, three younger siblings, and an uncle, narrowly escaped death when their car fell in a river in the middle of a dark night and was swept up into the ocean. A great-grandson of pioneering American missionaries, Ed reaches back to details of his idyllic life growing up in a well-to-do family in southern Brazil. His father and uncle, both famous medical doctors in their fields, envisioned a medical clinic along the ideals of the American Mayo Clinic. The clinic, a point of medical reference in Ed's hometown, thrives to this day. Ed's parents' values growing up have much to do with his story and how he responded to various events throughout the years. Ed first met the woman, who would many years later become his wife, in most unusual circumstances. He met her on a four seat Cessna flight from deep in the Amazon to São Paulo, Brazil. From urban environments in Southern Brazil to the Amazon, from a Texas cattle ranch to North Carolina, then back to Brazil again, Ed's story becomes his family's story. A ready-made family was another chapter of the adventure.
