Johnathon Livingston Carter IV just finished his freshman year at UCLA and had been invited to serve as an intern for an archeological expedition that would be searching for tombs in the cliff walls where the Cliff Dweller people had lived in the desert of Northern Arizona. Why?  What happens when 15 men of various military backgrounds and histories band together?  This is one possible scenario.  Especially if they realize they have a common bond and issue.  As they become more of a 'like-minded' group, they realize, that their strengths and history may be able to make a difference, if not for them, perhaps for others.  The realization that what was promised them never came to fruition makes for an irate group.  Realizing that your country breaks the promises made, with no apparent feeling of guilt can cause a knee jerk reaction and sometimes, (as you will see), hostile and fatal outcomes.  These men who are wounded physically and mentally expected their country to support them, with both medical and financial help, but were left without either.  As they band together they think they may have a solution.  While it may not be an easy decision to make, they do make it, and plan an attack, one that they hope will bring the plight of many into the light and perhaps make a real difference.  At great personal sacrifice, the plans go forth, and this is their story.

It’s only because you were not told the truth, which means this world is lost and a lot of you don’t really know God. You just think you do!

I love celebrating the holidays just as much as others. This book was started for some time back while doing my research on the holidays. I was at the library reading up to get my citizenship, and the idea came up as I was researching on this great country's presidents. The idea was to write a cookbook, but I didn't have any idea how to start. But as time went by, it was clear to me that it was time to start writing. As a foreigner, not knowing the norms or what to do, I had a professor-who wrote many books on the Latin language-help me, and he was the person who inspired me in writing a book.Thanks to all of you who will be cooking from this book.

The goal and motivation for Publishing this book is to promote pride, faith, importance of goals education and achievement. I was blessed to have a great extended family, wonderful children Bobby Jr. and Alica and the greatest wife a man could be blessed to have.   Most of my work as related to community service was motivated out of concerns for my children and all children of this world and my late wife's concern for the safety and welfare of her children. My other motivation was to prove a false negative wrong, that being if you are not a person of privilege one will never attain your dreams and goals. In to do the best job possible so that individuals coming behind me would find open doors free of stumbling block. The other part of that message was that if one does find stumbling blocks to respond by using them as stepping stones because life with produce negative situations, but never let anything or anybody break your desire to achieve your goals.  A message to all youth that may read this book that life owes you nothing other than a equal opportunity. Also, I subscribe to the adage that you may not get all you pay for but you must pay for all you get.  I may not sell many books but if my book motivates and saves one life, mission accomplished!  Get a good education and be prepared when opportunity comes knocking as my uncle Robert (Bob) Collins (my hero) told me set goals and have a plan on how to achieve them. One of the most defining events was the day I received my A.S. Degree in Business ADM. from the greatest community college (Lewis and Clark Community College) in the country. That degree opened many doors for me and my family. 

How can one imagine writing Get Through, Going through Life without going through? How can one passionately tell others about wearing the whole armor of God "to stand against the wiles of the devil" without some evidence? Oftentimes, it seems impossible to identify, understand, and/or endure trials occurring in our spiritual, professional, and/or personal lives. During these challenges, we may experience anger, depression, fear, pain, and/or sorrows. We are not merely bystanders. Paul says, we must "stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit" (Ephesians 6:14-18a). Chapter 1, "I Am" reiterates we are created in God's image to have dominion over the earth and authority to speak words of life over and about our circumstances. Not to lay down and let them rule over us! The believer and unbeliever must grasp or understand that we are God's beloved. He has made His heart available to us. Chapters 2-7 explicitly share each armor piece and its use for warfare in practical ways. Arnetha discloses her life and other common life experiences to better understand God's Word. Moreover, we learn through Paul's, Nehemiah's, David's, and others' experiences. God's Word or truths is ignited or powered through prayer. The final chapter help guides the reader in applying the six weapons of warfare; to triumph and overcome personal tunics/life issues. Its a fantasy story about old-fashioned storytelling with some short stories in it. Theres a stranger who stumbles into the town of Storyteller who has to win over the entire town through the art of storytelling on their main stage. There are stories about rainbows, unicorns of different colors, a pumpkin with huge dreams, Mother Nature, and a whispering rainbow rose. Theres a magical little sprite that changes colors. Theres a story that decides if a little girl can stop pirates from invading her town with a dance. Theres also a story about a scarecrow that wants to come alive for the sake of love. With the help of these characters and their fates, can the stranger fill in for a professional storyteller and win the hearts of the townspeople? Will the town learn who this stranger is? This is for those who truly believe in magic and some good old storytelling fun, with a magical explanation of rainbows and nature and even the Northern lights.

This is a tale that can be enjoyed by all ages, though some of the inferences may be lost on the very young readers. Many individual chapters can stand by themselves as they depict today's concerns-notably, corporate greed and how it is solved by Barley Corn. No money, no problem. When you want to sneak into the state fair, even though you promised not to do so, you take an "oath" to "always" sneak in. An oath always supersedes a promise. The book spins a tale of a tall villain who is in pursuit of Barley and his friend. This, after Barley and his friend witnessed the villain (Tunnel Man) shooting two people.Barley accidently kills a bear with a Civil War sword. This puts his name and picture in the newspaper. Tunnel Man sees the paper identifying Barely and his whereabouts. The chase is on.Belief in ghosts, childhood adventure and misadventure, are a part of the story. Some of the chapters are based on actual happening-notably, the apology in church as seen by the author in his early youth.At the heart, this is a fun book filled with dreamy humor and youthful adventure.

Tom becomes an FBI special agent.   Murders being committed by Nick are in Tom's jurisdiction. If that isn't bad enough,every lead they have ends up dead before the FBI and police can get them.
