This children's book is a series that will teach the reader about the customs and sites of some countries around the world. The objective of the book is to teach children about the different foods, sites and customs from five different countries—Greece, Israel, Mexico, India, Kenya. This book is volume 2, the first book in the series was Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Australia, and Ireland, be sure to collect them both. It will attract parents and grandparents who want to teach their children and grandchildren about world cultures. Hopefully, the reader will see how different yet similar we all are.  

While living in New York City, George Huntington's fiancée Laura was involved in a car accident that left her in a deep coma. Knowing how devastated George was, George's grandfather sent George a letter saying he might be able to help. Before George could respond to his correspondence, he was told his grandfather had passed away, leaving him his house and property in the small town of Eagle Falls, West Virginia. Two young slaves are on the run. One makes it, the other gets killed. Travor, who has been dubbed as one of the worst overseers ever, was fired for not coming back with Master Dalton’s prized negro Bobby Gene. he sought employment at Master Wellington’s plantation, who just happened to be Master Dalton’s neighbor. Strange things were happening on Master Wellington’s plantation. It had been brought to his attention that someone had been raiding his property. Nothing of great value; crops, chickens, eggs, as well as a few of the slaves’ attire. A young white couple traveling cross country have fallen on hard times when they are robbed, leaving them only with their personal things. Found themselves in the state of Missouri. Their names are Jeffrey and Pauline Turner, ended up taking what they thought was temporary residency. It became something different. Wellington put Jeffrey in charge of finding out who this mysterious person was who had been raiding his property.Several months of staying in the loft. Jeffrey was ready for it to be over. Gets his wish when he happens to see someone running through the dried-up fields. Took out in pursuit of this person. Bringing him to a cave. Discovering he’s black, and his name is Bobby Gene, they became the best of friends. Bobby Gene and Anna Belle are reunited through Jeffrey. The three come up with a plan to get Bobby Gene safely to the north. Jeffrey seeks work in town at the saw mill after finding Pauline and Matthew in bed together.Bobby Gene comes back to Missouri a free man and a lawyer, pays a surprise visit to Wellington’s Plantation only to find Anna Belle has become Matthew’s mistress. Bobby Gene and Matthew meet face-to-face. Matthew gives Bobby Gene a deadly warning concerning Anna Belle. Bobby Gene and Jeffrey are put in a life or death situation. Matthew and a few of his overseers ride onto Bobby Gene’s plantation demanding his woman back. A shot is fired. Travor lies dead, Anna Belle is grazed by the gun fire. Matthew returns, guns a blazing, finds his way through the house to where Bobby Gene is. Guns clicked, aimed, and an eerie cry as Matthew falls dead, knife protruding out of his back. Anna Belle runs into the arms of Bobby Gene.

Hustling Against the Odds-the book and title was inspired by a national bestseller I read given to me by my father, a book he read while in prison called Succeeding Against the Odds, which is an autobiography by John H. Johnson, who was an American businessman. John H. Johnson was a black man who succeeded going against the odds a black man commonly faces in the American society. My book goes into the odds I faced as a black man in that same society, making the accomplishments I have this far in life but from a different, more unique prospective. My book is a tell-all about my journey in life thus far and highlights the truth about the American society as it relates to every black person.

Never doubt the true potential you have in the life God has given you. You are strong, capable, intelligent, beautiful, and most importantly, not alone. You have been given the test you are fighting through for a reason. You can try your best to plan ahead and prepare for the future, but life will always present the unexpected. Losing a loved one, living through a tragedy, or being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness are tests that will challenge you and may break you down, but they will never destroy you. You are being tested of your strengths, faith, endurance, and keeping an optimistic view. You are the one who decides what you will overcome and accomplish. The results are placed in your own hands. The question is, what results are you looking for and how are you going to get there?Life gave me my own test to overcome, something I least expected. I was healthy and never thought twice about my body, until my diagnosis. My life changed completely when I found out I had breast cancer. My diagnosis made me realize that life is too precious to discount any moment. I felt despair and wanted to have all the answers to the questions that resonated in my head. I didn't know what to do, but I knew one thing for sure, God was by my side, and it was up to me to take the necessary steps to overcome this. My test wasn't easy, but I fought through the trials, making sure I did not become the victim. I, along with two amazing women, share our story on how we overcame the test that changed each of our lives. It is up to you to fight, to keep moving, and never give up because there is always hope.

Thank you for your time and curiosity. The Real Deal Is Love is a collection of my thoughts and feelings at times in my life, happy, sad and unpredictable that I just had to write down. The first twenty-five are love poems, and these come from some real things that happened to me and some that happened from people and friends around me. The next twenty-five are of life in general, things that I see and do, things that I just can’t believe and things that are so funny I just had to tell somebody. Believe it or not. Conventional psychology has made very little progress in treating mental disorders. Sigmund Freud showed us the vast depth of the subconscious; however, he and his successors had little success in actually curing disorders. Currently, the mainstay of psychiatric therapy is through medications, which broadly and relatively indiscriminately numbs the brain, with many unintended side effects. The main motivation for this book was the incredible effectiveness of the techniques we’ve developed in treating various mental disorders including depression, anxiety, neurosis, insomnia, etc. Our motivation also is due to many of our patients who urged us to use this medium to spread our techniques quickly so many more people may benefit from it. The success rate has been incredible, with certain disorders reaching a 100 percent cure rate. Our techniques were founded through years of treating real patients and the feedback we received during this process. From this, we discovered a deeper understanding of how the mind functions and hence how to influence it in any desired direction. Many people were cured of various mental disorders using the techniques in this book. Many of their testimonials are included in this book.

Presented in My Journey through Ink and Paint is the mind of a pensive wanderer who journeys through a world of colors. This work depicts abstract art in a stylish evolution of colors through contrasting, blending, or complementing one color with another juxtaposed on it. The color movement is like a flow chart of events created by nature during a rainbow formed by the sun and raindrops. This technique can be seen in The Wilderness Mind, Eleganza, and others in the book. My Journey through Ink and Paint is a compilation of abstract art drawn over the years through enjoyable and sad moments. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” so it is said. Christopher, for simplicity’s sake, described most of his abstract art in the book, and left some for others to describe according to how they view each image. Like in the well-known phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words,” the viewers can always have varied opinions about a particular piece of art. The driving forces that influenced Christopher into a continuous habit of drawing abstract art can be found in the motivational notes within his book.
