This book title, Your Mortgage (Co-Op) Closing, is meant as simply a statement to you on how your Co-op closing is expected to go.Maybe this title will send a twinge down your spine and you will run to this book to see either "what to do" or "what the heck just happened?" The important thing to know is that you are not alone. Over the years I have found that too many of us are not prepared for our upcoming closing, and view it as just a quick signing process "where we get the money and the lender takes our unit." HA! If this is you, boy, do you need to read this!As you know, there are several areas of your application that must be verified and reviewed, such as income, assets, employment, credit, property, and citizenship. These areas of your life are all in motion, and it is sometimes difficult to coordinate all into a loan approval, but it does happen. Yet as much "FUN" as this can be, there is still the wonder of your upcoming closing. Where will it be?...Who will be there? ...What do they do?... What do I bring?...What do I wear?...(the ladies, that is...guys don''t really care.) At your closing there will be much happening in a short period of time and this book will give you advance insight as to what is going on while you sign, sign, sign. I will try to prepare you for the event while greatly reducing the fear of the unknown. Some of you may say, "Oh, so what ...? I''ll just sign and go." Well, Okay, but as I mention in the book, YOU are responsible for everything you are signing-wouldn''t you like to know a little? This is what we talk about here. In plain, simple language. So, get your book, grab a coffee, pull up a chair, and let''s talk!

"Niki''s Honor" is a tragic and powerful story about an innocent victim of "honor killing" practices and the family she seeks to protect.Based on actual events still occurring in many parts of the world, this book reveals the realities of these unspeakable acts committed against girls and women, and usually carried out by their own family members. In a Soviet occupied country, Niki, a beautiful young rural Pashtun village girl, becomes entangled in a series of events that brings an end to her fairy tale dreams. She becomes a casualty of a culture where a family''s honor and pride is more precious than life itself.Suffering in silence, Niki endures great pain and humiliation, yet still refuses to reveal her personal secret, saving her family and particularly her mother from further disgrace. She is engaged at the age of nine to the handsome fifteen year old son of a Khan. They eventually fall in love. Her secret is only shared with him. She committed no crime, but carries the full weight of a heinous act done by another. In "Niki''s Honor" a horrific and cruel subject is shockingly presented. The author, growing up in Afghanistan and knowing its rich history, traditions, and customs, adds a unique and eloquent voice to Niki''s story.Soul searching and provocative this is a story needing to be heard. The story of this poor but beautiful young village girl will have a memorable and lasting effect on you.

I wrote this as a tribute to my mother, a humble and gently unassuming housewife and mother who loved and understood everything about life and all of its great mysteries. Although Alzheimer's disease relentlessly and ruthlessly ravaged both her mind and body, her soul remained untouched and pure. This book chronicles her struggles, which certainly impacted the lives of everyone for both the better and the worse. In the end, though, her final lasting lesson was that even in sickness, she still was able to reveal to her loved ones the beauty that surrounds each of us. We learned from her, and for this, we each became better human beings. I wish to share that message of comfort and hope with you, dear reader.

As one of the most enigmatic and most reviled kings in English history, the man who will become Richard III emerges from the pages of The Protector as a loyal brother, a fearless soldier, and an able administrator of the north of England. Neither saint nor villain, he is thrust unwillingly into power by the untimely death of his elder brother, King Edward IV, who leaves the crown to his son, a twelve-year-old boy.   On his deathbed, the dying king names Richard protector of the new king and of the realm, but the youth is wholly under the influence of the Woodvilles, his mother's family and Richard's sworn enemies. The result is a power struggle in which Richard must fight to gain not only physical possession of the new king but also his affections as well. In this contest, he is joined by an old ally, William Lord Hastings, and by a new one, the charismatic Henry Stafford, Duke of Buckingham. Both men will play pivotal roles in the events that follow.   In the process, Richard will learn of an old family secret that has the capacity to change his life. He will also endure stunning betrayals from the two men who are closest to him while himself committing what is arguably the greatest betrayal of allthe seizing of the crown from his brother's son. This action leaves both the deposed king and his younger brother, Richard's namesake, open to a fate that Richard could not have foreseen, one that is wrapped in the riddle of his relationship with Henry Stafford and that will haunt him for the rest of his days.
