The title of my book, Rhythm of Life, sums up what life has been like for me, a series of ups and downs, much like that of a roller coaster ride. I knew when I began writing the book how the book would end; however, the process of writing the book was altogether different because I wasn't sure what roads I would be traveling to get to the end of the book, hence the book title, Rhythm of Life.

It tells about the obstacles he faced and how his persistent struggle helped him succeed in life and motivated him to share his life lessons with the readers for their well-being.Part 3This part shares the important and effective aspects of leading a happy life. The main themes include self-actualization, what happiness really means to individuals, the success criteria, positive psychology, resilience, forgiveness, communication, and sharing. It further tells how to live and surmount every obstacle in life with a proactive attitude.

This book reflects on the real-life memories of an adolescent boy who had a learning disability and the academic struggles he experienced in high school as well as the teacher who befriended him and helped him overcome such a limitation, thereby changing the adolescent's life for the better in many ways.

Copper Capers is a humorous account of the experiences, arrests, and the workings of a police department. You can't make this stuff up! Each short story chapter is an incident that becomes an antidote to what would have been a very dull and sometimes dangerous shift. Funny things are said and done by people being chased and caught by the police. For example, the man who adamantly declared, "I'm not taking the Polygram test!" or the woman who stated that she was a hologram are real experiences. This book was meant to invoke a chuckle from those who can relate to some of the stories. But it also provides a look behind the curtain of how police sustain their sanity under immense pressure.

Many of us that like to read are not necessarily interested in books that take up a lot of time getting to the point of what the writer would have the reader experience as one page follows another. For this reason, books that contain short stories fill a category allowing the reader to put as little or as much time in reading that time allows. This best describes the articles found in this work, The Fall of a Lying Nation.This nation was established by God in the same sense the children of Israel were established, placing them in the promised land flowing with milk and honey. There is no denying the fact that the parallels of these two nations are similar. In the case with Israel, the Bible gives a recorded history of its long existence even to its first inception. The Bible also prophesied its destruction, saying, "Therefore shall Zion for your sakes be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps" (Micah 3:12). God suffered long with His people and was very patient with the seed of Abraham. In the same way, our Father in heaven has been slow to wrath in dealing with the moral decline of this nation as truth is rejected, not just spiritually but now secularly, as a lying nation fills up their cup, awaiting God's indignation. This same God allowed Israel to cease as a nation in AD 70 because righteousness wasn't important to its people or its leaders. This is where we are as a nation. "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter" (Isaiah 59:14). Truth has had a hard struggle in the church for many years. Now that struggle has taken to the streets. Equity is righteousness.

Grandfathers can have a positive influence on their grandkids. The author writes how a grandson develops an interest and a love for the sport of trapping muskrat and mink. This is followed with scouting missions and actual trapping on Big Fishing Creek in central Pennsylvania.The author shows excellent illustrations of trapping sets used to catch muskrat and mink. The descriptions and habits for muskrats and mink are included as well as a list of recommended trapping equipment. Having read this book, the reader will have enough beginning knowledge to start his own trapline. A must-read for the beginning trappers!

We can find the same if we take the time to look.The author joins beautiful photos and thought-provoking poems to allow the reader to escape into the environment for which we were intended into. So if you don't have time to create or visit a beautiful garden or travel to scenic places, if you plan but never have time to walk in the woods or wade in a creek, if sunrise and sunsets have passed before your workday ends, just pick up a book.Just as a babe in the womb is safe and protected from the busy world just inches away, taking time to think peaceful thoughts and view beautiful scenes can be just a page away.Verses used are from the King James Version Bible.

There are many avenues that we all follow during our lives. Like avenues, some adventures are straight from the beginning of the road to the end with no turns, curves, hills, or bumps. The many avenues that our friend, Slim, takes will open roads to different adventures, challenge our thoughts of which lane we should take, have us believe that we are not alone on this busy highway. There are many similarities among us all in a traffic jam. We avoid the many holes in the road by occasionally veering off course and developing a new route and creating a feeling of gladness following along on this wonderful trip. No matter how many avenues you have on your journey, understand that it is your adventure, and there's a "Slim" chance that someone has traveled the same path!

I chose the title It Only Hurts When I Cry because when I was a child, and I was being physically beaten, or back then they would call it discipline, I refuse to cry. Because in my mind, if I cried, the pain would come, so I build an exterior wall around myself and refused to submit to the pain. Therein was where the title It Only Hurts When I Cry came from. I know truly now that that was just a coping mechanism. That enabled me to survive emotionally, mentally, and physically. But for me, the words were just so powerful that I chose to title my first memoir about my tumultuous upbringing It Only Hurts When I Cry by Lisa Bethel-Young.
