It gives me great pleasure to write this book (part one of two) regarding my career with MTA (NYCT). I also outlined what to expect as a new bus operator and what actually took place over the years, especially dealing with some supervisors, but most of all, the ins and outs with passengers and, lastly, the traffic.

Anyone who always wanted a new puppy or with a love for dogs will enjoy reading this book. Grandma and Grandpa, along with their six grandchildren, take care of six new puppies born to their two poodles, Sonny and Trina. They have a fun first year. Enjoy.

The individual has to rely on his family background and values instilled in him throughout his life. A strong faith driving the belief that all has to be fair and honest is viewed as an idealistic approach in which everyone strives toward in making these decisions. To truly adopt this fairness, honesty, and justice philosophy in your life's decisions is extremely difficult in today's world. The tug of war of emotions pulls at one's conscience to make the right decision. Many choose to prostitute their convictions for their jobs, money, status, and power, rationalizing their decisions for personal gain, leaving humanity in ashes.As a law enforcement officer, his daily decisions directly affect his fellow man. This burden is self-inflicted by the individual to do the right thing or to go along with the good-old-boy attitude. The latter accomplishes nothing and is actually looked down upon by the honest public. The people truly want someone they can trust to carry out this honesty and justice philosophy; however, the public has no clue about the sacrifices one has to make in order to achieve these goals. For one to fulfill his mission of striving for fairness and honesty, he has to be a slave of his convictions.At seventy-three, the winter of my life, I often question my life's path. However, not only can I not change it, nor would I want to. I still encounter those negative people who condemned me for my stand for justice. There is nothing I can say to change their minds, which embraces corruption as a badge of honor rather than dishonor. The author of this book does not seek the approval of his life's path, but rather poses the question.What would you do if you were in his shoes? From a young boy's experience with farming and farm animals to a twenty-eight-year spiritual work experience in a cemetery, I was molded in my love of life and Mother Nature and the reality of death. Some of my poems are autobiographical.

As for the universe, some scientists compare it today to a curved sheet or plate. They say the universe has a specific density in the distribution of matter through it. This density makes it more like a slightly curved sheet, which means being flat. Then this universe, at the end of its life, will fold itself as it folds this paper. It will close and return as it began. They call it the theory of the recurring universe, which means that it starts from one point, then expands, then returns and shrinks on itself and returns as it began. Then why do we believe in this speech? Because God almighty says, "The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it." Those who believe in this theory use the word repeat, the same Koranic word used by scholars to express the end of the universe and the re-creation.

Sometimes we are damaged by people we know, trust, and love. This damage shocks us and sends us into a state of emotional numbness for a while. We trap ourselves in a constant inner fight to believe the reality of the damage. We blame ourselves. We get shocked and unwantedly disappointed. We question our self-worth. We review what has happened in our mind and look for an excuse to change the whole perception. We enrage, hold grudges, and we plot our revenge. This bitter fight will never end unless we change the purpose of the fight to find our true selves. We can either give in and play the victim or get on the journey to become strong and unfold our real value. The journey is there; grab your tools and go for the breakthrough.

The story begins in the current day of 2017 while at a cowboy competition shoot, dressed in an era custom representing 1860 to 1899 with two replica revolvers, a rifle, and shotgun representing the era. Then due to an event occurring during a competition shoot, the story's main character is flipped back in time to 1880.Once in the past, now our main character must adapt to the era without injecting 2017 into the 1880s. Being in the past means the main character is dealing with the day's good guys, bad guys, and is able to help a family through hard times before he's flipped back into his time of 2017.

This is DSK's second book with Page Publishing. The title of this work with Page is Applesauce. It is a continuation and explanation of his first work, Lemonade, and follows in the same mode of aphoristic storytelling. Lemonade and Applesauce are in the same set. There are many stories, or books--as DSK calls them, in both Lemonade and Applesauce. In Applesauce, there is a book about a transcontinental motorcyclist; a book concerning the preparation for a sea voyage; a book about some of the author's few accoutrements; there is a book about a journey by sea to the Azores. There is a book about German and American factories, and a book about more common transportation. There is a book on the economy; a book on a carnival festivity; and a book on actual American utopias--from cohousing to Earthships. There is a book about a major Tennessee branch of the Manhattan Project; a book about a lightning and thunder resort; a book about two veterans; a book about a youthful community; and finally, a book that represents a return to the existential experience of street life.

How to Summon a Hero is a story unlike any other. The summoned stories typically are based on the main character being pulled into another world, saving this world, getting the girl, and living happily ever after. However, our main character has done this already and now has his happily ever after ruined. Not only that, he's being summoned by the people responsible for their own problems. He refused the offer and wishes to return to his happily ever after but now must face being branded an outlaw. All he wishes is to be reunited with his precious wife, and he will do anything, even strike a deal with the Demon Lord he is summoned to kill. Yet there is more to be revealed such as "Why him?" "Who is truly to blame for this all?" "Will he ever be reunited with his wife?"
