The book of Revelation or The Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ is not just a book of bad news, judgments, epidemics, great cosmic cataclysms, and a future world government full of darkness. It is also the message of the greatest love that can exist, God's love to save humanity from the terrible end that all those who did not want to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and chose to distance themselves from him will have to face. It is a book worth studying because of its placement at the end of the gospels and the Epistles. Furthermore, it represents the final act to complete the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and is the only book in the Bible that speaks of the beginning and the end of all times.

This book chronicles many stories that cover deep-sea fishing in the Bahamas and a lightning strike there, too, as well as fly fishing in the Catskills. Then there is hunting quail in Florida and big game in Kenya. Not left out are stories of Palm Beach society, adventures in Mexico, and memorable automobile moments. These are just a few of many varied tales best told next to the fireplace with a drink in hand. Some stories should bring a chuckle or a real belly laugh. Enjoy the many adventures.

While the first two centered on animals he encountered while working as a forest ranger in New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest. This book tells stories of some of the pets he has had throughout his life and the antics they got into, from raising a baby squirrel to a television-watching chicken and even a softhearted cat. Ranger Bob hopes you will enjoy the short stories and even chuckle a little.

Wrought by a childhood replete with trying circumstances and telling experiences (conveyed in Frances Smith's earlier book), and in tandem with resultant beliefs and attitudes she held toward herself and the world she was about to enter, the commencement of legal adulthood also removed any buttressing protection minority provided. Too many confused and self-critical assessments would ill-serve this demoiselle. In time, those same assessments would transform into extremely harmful and life-threatening situations. Surviving would become a lifestyle for the author, which would shape not only her world but that of those whom she held most dear.Ms. Smith's adulthood was remarkable because of the duality consistently displayed between her professional abilities and achievements and her personal descent into depreciation and decline. This descent was birthed by a mentally imprinted sense of desperation inseminated by prevailing dogma, the flawed conclusions of youthful minds, and unattended hurts and breaches. This tale is a cautionary account. Similar to the brutality of a gauntlet one is forced to run, a few key choices in the life of this young woman vaulted her into a sort of awful test. Not failing would require overcoming deeply rooted beliefs and fears that sucked her backward in a downward spiral. Failing the test would mean no escape from an existence that was the antithesis of living. Scores of challenges the author faced in her adult life were nearly fantastical, so grueling and perverse were they. If any hope of victory existed, this woman's constitution must contain an extraordinary will to persevere and survive. Would the author discover that quality within herself, or would defeat ultimately claim her? This narrative relates what could be argued as the predictable plunge the author made into the depths, given the memories, messages, and conclusions in which she was cloaked as she debuted as an adult, already wearied from her life up to that point. This tale also abounds in efforts equally mesmerizing, which the principal made to try to save herself. There is no way to imagine the unspeakable journey that was Ms. Smith's adulthood. This story is simply a must read.

This book is dedicated to all those who grew up or are growing up in a less than desirable situation, as well as those who have been told they can't or won't make it. Additionally, this book is dedicated to God, who has taken care of me throughout my life, and my family whom I love dearly. To everyone, it's not about where you start. We as humans have this inherent ability to make decisions, meaning where we finish is up to us.

A Woman's Pride is about the trials and tribulations that the majority of all women, no matter their race, will perhaps go through in life being in a relationship with a man or a significant other of choice. But my hope is that this book will inspire them and give them the strength, courage, and self-pride in being a woman to overcome and triumph over any type of physical, mental, or verbal abuse that a woman may encounter during their life's journey in being in such an abusive relationship. And this I sincerely pray: that no woman will ever ever have to endure another person's abusiveness throughout their short life's journey. Amen.

This book was started about getting down to the basics about not just how to make a roux but how to overcome the barriers everyone faces in their daily life, that is, overcoming the doldrums of an exhausting daily routine and allowing some breathing room so you can advance yourself and your interests when you would otherwise feel you are barely getting by. There is advice on budgeting, kitchen tips and hacks, and even some information about how to better take care of yourself. Hopefully, someone will find something helpful in here. As for the expansive section on getting around in the kitchen, you can learn some things about cooking, only just don't expect any recipes! This is a handbook, a handbook for higher living. Escape the routine!

Captain Raferty Hawkins, the Duke of Black Hallow and consort to Queen Alexis I, has two big challenges. There is a blood contract out on him and Killian O'Hare. The money is coming from the Aurora Empire, but the operators are near at hand in the Badlands. The second problem is less immediate but has greater consequences for the universe. The Goldenes Tor military is about to overthrow their emperor and enter the war in support of the Orion Confederation against the Aurora Empire. Such an event would mean defeat for the Zekes. The pirate leader decides to focus on the latter problem while letting his allies handle the former problem. His Badlands comrades are used to such situations as someone has been trying to kill them for the majority of their lives. Destiny Flores, Tactical, Baby Doll, and the two hit men, Shelby Pope and Jackson Kemper, make a formidable group regardless of the threat. Now they will search for the people who are administering the contract. Once found, they will be dealt with in the usual way such problems are handled in the Badlands: ruthless violence administered with vengeance. The blood contract is being funded by members of the peerage within the Aurora Empire. These elites know this is their best chance to get Hawkins and O'Hare before these two would-be contemporaries can become forces within Aurora upper society at the war's end. Queen Alexis intends to bring these instigators to justice. Unfortunately for the guilty peers involved, the punishment will not be the usual slap on the wrist reserved for members of the ruling class who stray outside of the law. Alexis loves her consort and has no intention of letting this slide. With the aid of media mogul David Van Drucker, Alex will dish out her own brand of justice. It will not be violent, but it will be just as effective in ending the threat.Meanwhile, Hawkins addresses the bigger problem. If Emperor Viktor Aurick is taken by the traitors within the Goldenes Tor Imperial Staff, the attack on the Aurora Empire would immediately follow. Despite knowing of the attack, the Royal Navy does not have the ships to defeat such a massive onslaught. The longer the emperor stays free, the longer the attack is delayed. The emperor turns to Hawkins for help in retrieving his throne. Hawkins searches for allies to bring to the cause. He is under no illusion that allies will join him to help create a better universe, but they will join for money or other favors that the emperor can grant. Hawkins directs the recruitment of the greedy, the needy, and anyone else with a warship and ordnance for this fight.Captains Killian O'Hare, Shane Delacruz, and Dylan Whitlock do their parts to achieve the goals of Pirate Flotilla One as ongoing missions are concluded and old scores are settled. This may be the last time such an occasion will present itself, and revenge cannot be put off until tomorrow.Old enemies become new allies as a threat that could take them all down must be defeated.

The book, although randomly organized, describes many things about the life journey of the author before, during, and after his discharge from the United States Air Force and his emphatic disapproval of the term African American to describe all black people. The author believes the term African American limits the overall progress of black people in general and that whites born in Africa, now living in the United States, can also be called African American, defeating the reasoning behind the African American Summit, where the term African American was said to be endorsed by five prominent black people against the approval and rights of black people in general.

This book is not just for salespeople.Look at what others have to say:This book is very informative and an easy-to-read guide on how to be a superstar not just in sales but in life. It offers tips on how to put your best foot forward both professionally and personally. A must-read self-help guide. I highly recommend it! (L. Lafitte)You don't have to be a sales professional to appreciate this book. It provides clear instruction on techniques that can be used by sales professionals as well as other professions. The chapters "The Art of Connecting" as well as "The Art of Listening" provide useful tips on navigating through everyday interactions. (C. Bell)How to Be a Superstar Salesperson is an easy-to-follow and practical guide for the novice, the up-and-coming, and the experienced salesperson. The techniques are explained clearly and are transferable to any profession, especially sales. (D. Wilson)This book is such an easy read and so helpful. I believe that sales are directly tied to service. This book easily covers how to service people. Servicing (selling) starts with listening, then overcoming the objections and, most of all, not always expecting a yes. I am excited to share this with the many folks I encounter on the "salesperson journey." (T. Perkins)I don't know a single person who wouldn't want to be more successful in their communication style. We could all use some assistance, and that's exactly what this easy-to-read book has to offer. As a career saleswoman, I know getting past the no can be one of the most difficult skills to master and Audri White's book gives you the blueprint. (L. Price)This book is fascinating and multifaceted. These approaches can be used in many other professions other than sales in many ways. I, as a manager, can use these philosophies and approaches with my staff when persuading them to come on board with changes. These ideas would make them feel vested in the final decisions, thus making it a win-win for all. (A. Withers)As I have read and reread and read again How to Be a Superstar Salesperson, the information I learned translates into strategies I can immediately infuse into my routine. In other words, this is not some book with abstract language and feel-good ideas to motivate people to sale. Rather, this is a meat-and-potatoes publication that anyone can read and immediately start putting more food on the table. This is real strategy that translates, once applied into real money. This book is concise, informative, and easy to read. It's not only helpful for sales but for other occupations. The section "The Art of Listening" has good tips for my job as a customer service professional. Those sane tips can help in everyday life too!If readers follow the simple fundamentals provided, sales will follow.

This is a story about parallel love affairs separated by nearly a half century. The first is between Larry Martin and his former high school girlfriend, Deirdre Montgomery, now married with children. The second is between a conflicted American priest, Jean-Pierre Frechette, and a patriotic British lady named Sybil who, at the onset of World War II, lost her dearest friend to the Nazis. Years later, Larry is drawn into an existing tension between his new friend, Rebekah Goldstein, and her beautiful young daughter, Sara. Rebekah doesn't remember and is afraid to know anything about her past because of what she once discovered it is likely to mean. But Sara feels her grandmother's presence every time she plays a certain classical piece on her violin, and she wants to know everything. In different ways, they solicit Larry's assistance in confronting the stress that it is causing between them; but he needs Deirdre's help, and she can't provide it unless the two of them are able to resolve the issue that caused their own breakup thirty years before. While they attempt to do so, Deirdre helps Larry connect certain things he remembers seeing back then in the mountain cabin of an old woodsman, Joe Pete, regarding Joe Pete's fantasized involvement with a Native American dancer, Molly Spotted Elk, with what Larry begins to think may have been a part of Rebekah's past. Related clues came later in the sanctuary of a troubled and solitary priest Larry met after his own college indiscretion with another girl. Deirdre's novel solution now provides the vehicle for Larry's attempt to put it all together, but it also brings the two of them to the question of their own highly challenged ability to rebuild the relationship they both crave.

THE BRAHMIN GIRLThis is a fictional story of the brutal murders of two women, spanning a forty-five-year period: Libby Browne, a 17-year-old savant, murdered in the remote forests of Maine in 1965 and Darcy Farrell, an FBI agent, shot to death in the tidewater reaches of the Chesapeake Bay in 2010. It is told in the first-person narrative voices of three individual characters: Carrabassett Police Chief Tom Bradley; then graduate Northeastern criminology student Darcy Farrell; and retired FBI agent Lyle Beckwith. While engaged in a summer intern program in Carrabassett, Maine, in 1985, Farrell breaks open and solves the twenty-year-old cold case murder of Libby Browne. Twenty-five years later, Beckwith becomes consumed with finding and avenging the 2010 murder of his then wife Darcy, focusing on a shortlist of prime suspects, all of whom are his former crime subjects, identified by the FBI's psychological profile team. Grieving and emotionally distraught, he identifies and pursues the killer on his own rogue, clandestine initiative, rejecting help from the FBI. A little tenderness goes a long way in heart-to-heart communication. It renews a right spirit and warms the hearts of all participants. Just a smile or a wave can make a good day for someone. Don't forget the hugs. The twenty-four chapters in this book provide examples of tenderness. Many of the chapters are devoted to family members. Other chapters are devoted to helping someone else, like neighbors. In one of the chapters, Emily shovels snow off a neighbor's walkway, and Kevin, her brother, who is resting on a couch, gets an inner feeling to go help Emily. He approaches Emily with a tear in his eye, and they work together shoveling snow.In several chapters, Emily and Kevin help a poor organ grinder and his little monkey. The organ grinder's house is more like a shack than a house. Emily and Kevin replace many sideboards on the exterior of the house and wallboard on the walls and ceiling inside the house. Emily and Kevin train five chimps to stand on one another's shoulders so that they are five chimps high with a paint can and brush in the hands of the top chimp. The bottom chimp moves sidewise, and when the topmost chimp is through painting his section, he hands the paint can and brush to the next chimp down. The top chimp then jumps down, and the remaining chimps continue this scenario until the entire house is painted.

The production of Athearn Trains models has been very well-documented in several books over the years, even since its quite early days. In this work, the progression of the company's advertising is likewise well-documented. Since 1947, there have literally been thousands of pages of advertising presented to magazine readers. The Illustrated History of Athearn Advertising brings out the many styles of ads, the most colorful, and likely some of the best brought to the attention of model railroaders everywhere. This work is the result of years of scouring the many ads printed in many model railroading magazines since the founding of Athearn Trains. The selected pages of advertising shown in these pages share the many messages detailing the virtues of Athearn models and in many cases follows the pricing of their models over the years. The very first work documenting Athearn advertising from the very beginning through the company's seventieth anniversary, this book is a must-have for all model railroaders for deeper insight into the history of Athearn advertising, and the company itself.
