The book analyzes U.S economy, construction industry, and residential market crisis and recovery from 2000 to 2019. The motivation emanated from the need to document the unprecedented housing market crisis (and recovery) and its negative ei ects on the hitherto seeming formidable U.S economy. The expectation is that analysis of the data and findings should yield some policy recommendations and suggestions on how to ameliorate the impacts of weak economy and housing crisis on the nation, regions, cities, neighborhoods, groups, and individuals. The question is what factors were responsible for the housing crisis, economic meltdown, and the recoveries? What type of economic and housing policies and programs should guarantee a Goldilocks economy in the U.S? The corrective measures were on how to create enough demand to keep the economy humming at a healthy pace. The study should likely help students of housing and economic development as well as policy makers at national, regional, and local levels by equipping them with adequate knowledge of what led to the housing bubbles of mid-2000 decade that overheated the economy; the policy instruments used to mitigate the economic and housing market problems when the bubbles busted; and the necessary proactive measures needed to protect housing industry market and economy. The significance of the study includes the lessons learned about what caused the housing crisis and ensued economic meltdown; the recovery policies and programs; and how to guard against the crises from happening in the future, should undoubtedly make the study a worthwhile ei ort.

The rise in violence brought a spike in murders that put unprecedented pressure on the San Francisco Police Department and its storied homicide squad. Inspector Frank Falzon represents the best of those elite detectives.

One day several individuals would participate-either by design or by fate-in an evil experimental initiative in rural Minnesota. But first, they would each face trials, and these are their stories: an abduction and the disruption of life goals; the provocations of a jealous family member; confrontation by an old friend; redirection along a career path; addiction and the perils of the drug world; deception and coercion by a beautiful woman; liberation from corrupt authorities. And the revelation of closely-guarded secrets in the ancestral line of the man who would eventually attempt to manipulate their world.Offering interpretations of the principles of each of the biblical Beatitudes, these eight short stories provide glimpses into the lives of ordinary people who confront life-altering crises which demand response.

Are we educated, or are we indoctrinated? What do we really know? How do we know these things? Let us now open our eyes, our ears, and our hearts and get ready for a brand-new narrative! It is time we take a hard look at our history books and get together to discuss what needs to be done to change things. We always talk about how our history and the textbooks are inaccurate, but we never correct them, at least many of us do not. This history discussion must be inclusive to include all races, creeds and colors. We must not be afraid to look at the past, explore it, correct it and move on unified. We are stuck, and we cannot fail another generation of school children. This work must be done together. We will never achieve equity if the common people hai ve limited access to the truth. Let us make things right and get back to the ideals of freedom and equality for all.
