Do we rely on our own efforts or we fall back completely on the Sovereign Power Who created us and is ever ready to answer the cry of a righteous soul? Inner quest for peace and harmony are part of the collections. The book is a collection of thirty seven poems transcribing cherished experiences of my life. The thoughts woven under each exposition explore the depth of human emotions and attempt to provide a healing touch to turmoil and conflicts affecting human life. Themes that form part of the Mosaic of Life celebrate the strength of womanhood, nurture memories of bygone days and reflect sensitivity towards gender, persons with disability and transgender. Issues and concerns for marginalized sections of our society and conservation of environment are also penned as for food for thought. Exploring multiple pathways for leading quality and meaningful life for a better tomorrow, are other important additions. It is hoped that poetry lovers would enjoy each poems and unravel the inner meaning conveyed for understanding and appreciating the context in which they are composed.

About this time, my father bought a UK-made Austin A40 car. I was so fascinated by the variety of technologies employed in the car that, almost every after lunch on Sundays, when my father would take his usual afternoon snooze, I would shut myself in the garage and open different sections/parts of the car to see how they were made and worked. For example, I would open the carburetor, starter, generator, distributor, brakes, master cylinder, turn signal indicator, dashboard instruments, windscreen wiper motor drive, etc. just to see what was inside and to try to understand how they worked. This continued for several months without the knowledge of my father until one day my sister revealed this news to my father. Instead of shouting at me or abusing me for this mischief, my father took the whole incident in a most unexpectedly positive manner. Considering that I had done all this for so long without causing any impairment or impediment to the car, he insisted that I personally set right all future problems encountered in the car. From then on, I did mostly all car repair jobs all by myself except decarbonizing the engine and replacing the clutch discs, which I could not do without the physical help of an assistant.

Invisible Threads' is about the Individual soul's timeless inward journey into Space. Our souls are connected with Invisible Threads to the Cosmic Energy. We are so engrossed in this materialistic world that we forget we are not Body, Mind and Soul but something beyond that and our search begins. In the beginning, the poems are about the atrocities, the pain inflicted by those in power on the weak and the poor. They deal with the socio- political and economic aspects of the society and the exploitation of women. Some of the poems are of a woman's identity crisis and her search of her true identity. Women still do not enjoy freedom and her voice is silenced. Later on, the shift is towards the inner journey and the impediments one has to face to find Space in the crowded world and in the crowded mind which has been compared to a dustbin. Most of the poems are meditative and we soon realize that Space is within us. Mother Earth has a great influence on us. If we remain connected to her she gives us the courage to complete our life's journey. 'Mother you whisper, we pay no heed'. It's easy to connect with everyone and everything through Invisible Threads that connects us to the Cosmic Energy.

The Plight of the Earth is beautiful poetry book by Mahender Parashar. He is born on 10 MAY, 1977 in Haryana, India. He postgraduated in both English literature and Indian History. The Plight of the Earth is very lovable book for the poetry lovers. The poet's lucid writing style about nature is very much captivating: Shoal awoke with the rising sun, For getting light and oxygen. The use of personification for nature is worth praising; "Don't proud", I say him chiding, "listen my prayer," I pray hands folding, "The culture cultured by water river, I shelter tortoise to whale dear." The poet's way of depiction the relationship between man and woman is really noteworthy: He can't exist without she, It was the discussion between my wife and me.
