The poems in this collection were written over a period of nearly a quarter of a century. Many of them have been published in literary journals. They express a wide range of feelings and emotions ; and speak of human relations, family bonds, unfulfilled love and longing, disability, gender ambiguity, environmental destruction, ethnic tension, and hope for a better world. Rajib Chocroborty was born in Manipur, the Jewel of India ; and raised in Meghalaya, the Abode of Clouds aka The Scotland of the East, which has a matrilineal society. After his schooling his family moved to Kolkata, the City of Palaces. This early exposure to the cultural diversity of his country has made him an ardent advocate of pluralism and gender equality. Most of the poems are in free verse but the reader will also find traditional forms like the sonnet, the ghazal, the limerick, and the haiku. There are allusions in some poems to literature and Indian mythology, which are explained in the footnotes.

Readings in the shed completed three years of performing stories on 23rd April 2021. Under normal circumstances the celebrations would involve theatrical performances of birthday stories. Actors would perform, and audiences would fill the seats. The pandemic and the restrictions that accompany it, stopped the stories from making it to the stage. But stories travel, in one form or another. Thus, they took the form of a book that might quietly travel and reach the stage of the reader's mind where the performances may continue. The stories in this anthology are varied in theme, setting and concept. Nikhil Katara's Pride, set in the wild narrates the story of an aging lion. While his O2 explores the implication of choices especially in difficult times. Himali Kothari's Coming of Age is the story of Pushpa who has lived her life in the hope that her birth may have been of value. The Birthday Stories is a story of friendship and acceptance.

This book presents the educational policies that have been applied to Greek people under Ottoman oppression during the 18th century and the years before and during the Greek Independence War (1821-1827). It discusses how, initially, education was organized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and how later, during their War of Indepence, Greeks outlined their educational system. In addition, the book examines how the Age of Enlightenment had affected the choices made before and during the War of Independence. Thus the book presents the ideas of prominent figures of the Greek world of that time. In particular, it presents the ideas of Adamántios Koraís and Rígas Pheraíos, et al. The book also presents more practical matters, such as school infrastructure, etc. All in all, this is a volume that will interest all researches and scholars working in the history of education.
