This book PSYCHIATRIC CASE CLERKING FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS has its origins during the pandemic when the biweekly tutorials for the medical students at the university where I teach were held through zoom, google meet and teams. Wondering if students could understand what was being said I decided to make a word document which I sent to the tutorial students. Then I realized that this document actually simplified my work and produced better results in terms of completeness of clerking. In addition, I felt that this compilation made clerking simple, systematic and easy to understand for the undergraduate medical students. The contents of this book has been repeatedly used during my tutorials on the many batches of medical students I have had the pleasure to teach.

Often in our chasing of the hours we get lost, defeated, and worse - deluded, by the results. The poet provides solace to such weary travellers trudging through the by-lanes of Life. Through easy rhyme, she not only voices some deep-seated questions, but places arguments and answers that open one's mind to the real meaning of life. What is in it for the youthful adventurers, for those yet to set upon the stormy voyage of life? The questions that get pushed aside by their youthful curiosity are brought to the surface. Premises are placed and through lucid reasoning counterpoints are provided revealing a profundity beyond the seeming simplicity. Profound yet lyrical, here is a form of writing that relaxes even as it appeals to the deep thinker. Tough yet gentle, adamant yet understanding, difficult yet easy: yes paradoxes rule the pages, and the light heartedness of the author's writing carries the reader through them all with a smile.

The idea of a collection of short stories from personal experiences and encounters was born following several desert time chats between the author and his friends, many of whom disclosed incidents which were bizarre, ironical, unexpected, or even belonging to the supranatural, stories not sufficiently grand enough to be turned into a novel or movie but which nevertheless could provide food for thought and questions on how we should interact with other persons, both visible and invisible. Most of us believe in destiny, though many of my friends would challenge or dispute the rationale of accepting or adopting any specific religious belief. The stories told in this collection are of necessity fictionalised, but the essence or themes of the stories are mostly based on or related to first hand experiences or descriptions which sometimes could, hopefully, stimulate us to think about life again and whenever we face a downturn, whether we should second guess our choices, decisions, and paths we have taken. Last but not the least, the author would hope that these stories are light enough to digest, but substantial enough to linger on in one's palate for some time.

The history of 1971 Bangladesh War of Liberation accords the mass rape of Bangladeshi women by the Pakistan Army and their local collaborators. After about 40 years of the Liberation War, the matter of rape of the Bangladeshi women was brought under litigation, to a certain extent, in the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh (ICT-BD). However, the issue of justice for the rape victims of the 1971 Bangladesh War of Liberation still lacks comprehensive social and legal attention. A question remained very much unexplored as to whether 'legal justice' through trials essentially ensures 'social justice' for the war rape victims of Bangladesh. It thus remains an unspoken narrative in Bangladesh in respect of how the war rape victims actually perceive 'justice'. Another question that arises in this regard is whether 'complete justice' is being done in the course of ensuring legal justice to war rape victims. It may be mentioned that no systematic and/or comprehensive research has been conducted so far on this subject. This research would endeavor to get an account from 385 Bangladeshi war rape victims and their families about the socio-legal aspects of the long-awaited justice.
