Das Buch beschäftigt sich mit einem in der Literaturwissenschaft nahezu vergessenen Autor des Expressionismus: Heinrich Schaefer. Der Band will die Biografie und literarische Entwicklung Heinrich Schaefers über den lückenhaft vorliegenden Faktenbefund hinaus erweitern. Er tut dies primär, um das literarische Werk Schaefers auf ein Motiv hin zu untersuchen, das in seinen Texten einen zentralen Stellenwert einnimmt ¿ das Motiv des Ekels. Dieses Ekelmotiv ist für Figurendarstellung, Dramaturgie und explizite Drastik in Schaefers Texten nicht nur Zentralmotiv, sondern in der Auslotung seiner anthropologischen und physiologischen Befunde die thematisch interessanteste Deutungslinie. Sie wird exemplarisch am Hauptwerk Heinrich Schaefers, dem zwischen 1911¿1913 entstandenen Roman Gefangenschaft, vorgestellt.

Dieses Buch widmet sich der Analyse der bisher veröffentlichten Lagerkorrespondenz, sowohl der offiziellen als auch der inoffiziellen, die in Form von Sammelausgaben oder einzelnen Briefen vorliegt. Die Autorin betont dabei die hauptsächlich dokumentarische Bedeutung dieser Korrespondenz, die sich auf den Zeitraum von 1939¿1945 erstreckt. Die untersuchten Briefe wurden von polnischen Gefangenen in verschiedenen europäischen Konzentrationslagern verfasst und fungieren primär als wertvolle soziologische Quelle. Mit besonderem Augenmerk auf hermeneutische Methoden hat die Autorin diese Briefe vor allem für Philologen aufbereitet. Das zentrale Anliegen dieser Publikation besteht darin, den Lagergefangenenbrief in seinen theoretischen und praktischen Facetten zu durchleuchten und systematisch zu erfassen. Es scheint, dass der ethische Stellenwert dieser Briefe, der in den Studien zum Erbe des Zweiten Weltkriegs häufig noch unterschätzt wird, von besonderer Bedeutung ist.

La gran extensión geográfica del español ha producido numerosas obras lexicográficas que se enfrentan al reto de dar respuesta a problemas derivados de la internacionalización lograda por esta lengua. Por una parte, los diccionarios bilingües aportan una perspectiva diferente para reflexionar sobre nuestro léxico y sobre cómo representarlo de forma eficaz en los diccionarios; por otra parte, dentro de los países hispanohablantes, el colorido mosaico de variedades regionales, nacionales y supranacionales suscita debates sobre la manera de tratar tamaña diversidad para conseguir una representación ecuánime para todos. En este volumen, especialistas de diferentes orígenes contrastan problemas, métodos y soluciones lexicográficas para abordar esta dimensión internacional.

Am 6. und 7. Oktober 2022 fand am Berufsbildungsinstitut Arbeit und Technik (biat) der Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) die 22. Herbstkonferenz der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gewerblich-Technische Wissenschaften und ihre Didaktiken (gtw) statt. Unter dem Tagungstitel ¿Dekarbonisierung, Digitalisierung, Demographie ¿ Gestaltungsanspruch für gewerblich-technische Facharbeit und Bildung" konnte die Konferenz drei nicht nur für die gewerblich-technische Facharbeit und die Berufsbildung sehr zentrale gesellschaftliche Themenstellungen aufgreifen, mit denen bereits seit geraumer Zeit und zukünftig noch wesentlich stärker ein hoher Gestaltungsanspruch einhergeht. Über dreißig Einzelbeiträge verdeutlichen in diesem Band die thematische Relevanz für die gewerblich-technischen Wissenschaften.

This book presents itself as a new transformative-emancipatory path: it attempts to reconcile the sphere of humanity, and particularly that of dignity, with the dimensions of conscience, vulnerability, and identity. These dimensions cross several cultural boundaries and encompass various theoretical hypotheses, in line with certain critical ontologies.Present society highlights increasing levels of inequality. Ethics should try to create constructivist bridges, which the author shows by a meta-ontological model, described in its «centripetal» inclination.If we do not respect ourselves, others, and the environment that hosts us, we will never be able to define ourselves as «human» beings, that is, beings endowed with «dignity». Any responsibility makes sense to the extent that this respect ¿ which we could include in the category of «taking care» ¿ constitutes the epistemological background of ethical lives.

La obra nace en el marco del proyecto Discurso institucional e imagen de la mujer: impacto comunicativo y social en Andalucía (US-1381061) y aborda la representación que se hace de la mujer en el discurso de las instituciones en el ámbito hispánico y sus implicaciones sociales. Los trabajos que la conforman abordan los niveles implicados en la producción discursiva: lingüístico, psicosocial, comunicativo y sociocultural, partiendo de la idea de que el imaginario social se crea y fija a través del discurso. Se denuncian los sesgos discriminatorios que se mantienen, dificultando el camino hacia la igualdad real y efectiva entre hombres y mujeres. Esta obra contribuye a evidenciar la necesidad de seguir investigando en las estrategias comunicativas como instrumento de cambio social.

In the second half of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, nearly one-third of the population of today¿s Slovenia permanently settled in countries around the world. Many more were traveling back and forth, searching for work to ensure the survival of the family members left behind at home and the prosperity for the families and communities they were creating abroad. From one of the smallest nations in Europe, barely reaching one and a half million inhabitants at the time, people departed in numbers reaching 440,000. This book tells their stories, about the "daring dreams of the future," as the Slovenian poet Oton ¿upanc¿ic¿¿whose words open the book¿so beautifully put it. The people who left took recipes for their foods, accordions for their music, and love for their culture and language, which was, and has remained, a linguistic island between Vienna and Venice. In their new communities, they built homes, churches, and cultural institutions that have survived until today.

Este ensayo trata de profundizar en la presencia de la mujer en diferentes manifestaciones artísticas (literatura y cine, fundamentalmente) durante los siglos XX y XXI desde una perspectiva transatlántica, para valorar en qué medida la evolución sobre los roles de género transmitidos por la literatura y el cine dan cuenta de los procesos de cambio social respecto a la mujer contemporánea. El proyecto ha contribuido así a empezar a elaborar una cartografía de la imagen de la mujer de los siglos XX y XXI en la literatura y el cine del ámbito hispánico y avanzar, por tanto, en la recuperación de las voces artísticas de mujeres contemporáneas. Después de seleccionar un corpus de cincuenta obras literarias escritas en los siglos XX y XXI que tienen como protagonista a un personaje femenino o consideran a la mujer como eje temático principal, se han estudiado los diferentes modelos femeninos presentes en diez obras literarias y sus adaptaciones audiovisuales, junto con los criterios que determinan la presencia de dichos modelos.

El presente volumen contiene una edición contrastada y anotada en letras latinas de las cuatro adaptaciones sefardíes de Robinson Crusoe. La edición de textos va precedida por un estudio preliminar que abarca una breve introducción a la narrativa sefardí moderna en la que se comentan los comienzos de la literatura secular en judeoespañol. A continuación, se presentan las ediciones judías de Robinson Crusoe, esto es, las adaptaciones asquenazíes en yídish y en hebreo, y las sefardíes en judeoespañol. La obra se completa con un estudio comparativo lingüístico-literario que se centra en la judaización de los textos y su adaptación para el público sefardí, haciendo hincapié también en los fenómenos lingüísticos derivados del hecho de tratarse de la traducción de un original.

This volume examines the potentially deleterious impact of place branding on the social fabric, ecosystems and local economies of the places concerned. As the different essays show, place branding is a fundamentally political practice, often driven by hidden agendas that marginalize certain groups within society. Contributors explore place branding from a wide variety of angles, including: the role played by the visual arts in city branding; the applied arts, and speci cally the fashion industry¿s potential for shaping perceptions of a particular place; the different ways in which sport has been exploited by the political elites; the role of design in place branding, including the architectural design of sports stadia; and the potentially insidious economic and societal consequences of excessive consumption of branded places.

En esta investigación se toman como objeto de estudio determinadas estructurassintácticas propias del español coloquial que aparecen en intervenciones reactivas y ocupan el mismo hueco funcional que los operadores modales de negación del español. Desde un punto de vista estructural, estas expresiones se originan a partir de oraciones completas (¿estamos locos?, anda yä) y a partir de sintagmas de distinto tipo que, en contextos reactivos, conforman enunciados independientes (ni de coña, un carajö).A pesar de que el contenido que portan estas unidades es fundamentalmente modal, también actúan en otros planos de la macroestructura textual, relacionados con el compromiso enunciativo del hablante o con su intencionalidad en cuanto al interlocutor, teniendo en consideración sus implicaciones argumentativas e informativas. Con el objetivo de realizar un análisis que dé cuenta de su multidimensionalidad, partimos de los presupuestos teóricos de la Macrosintaxis, desarrollada desde la Lingüística Pragmática.Esta investigación nos permite observar la lengua viva y documentar cómo esta se enriquece debido a la creatividad de los hablantes, en función de sus necesidades expresivas.

As the first inter-disciplinary study of ethnic relationship and cultural changes in the westernmost section of the Tibetan-Yi Corridor, this book brings together a broad range of analyses from the anthropological, historical, and frontier studies perspectives. The author builds on a synthesis of Fei Xiaotong¿s Tibetan-Yi corridor theory and Wang Mingming¿s cultural theory and to present a rich historical narrative of the dynamic interactions among the Lisu, Nu, Dulong, Naxi, Bai, Tibetan and Pumi ethnic groups in this region from the Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China period. In addition to a vast body of existing literature, the study also draws on extensive fieldwork. Its findings not only enhance our knowledge of the historical development of particular ethnic groups in a specific region but also have implications for how we should understand the development of the Chinese nation as a whole.

Il volume esplora il ruolo della linguistica contrastiva nel lavoro del traduttore, concentrandosi sui problemi posti da alcuni "punti di conflitto" che caratterizzano la traduzione dal tedesco all¿italiano e dal francese all¿italiano. In particolare, un primo gruppo di contributi parte da una forma semantico-sintattica del francese o del tedesco per indagarne attraverso fonti grammaticali, teoriche e/o di corpora, gli equivalenti funzionali in italiano. A questo gruppo appartengono uno studio sui determinanti del nome in francese e italiano, un¿analisi del vocabolo francese même e delle sue traduzioni in italiano e due studi su mezzi di espressione della modalità in tedesco e italiano. Un secondo gruppo di contributi affronta questioni lessicali nella traduzione dal tedesco in italiano di fenomeni di variazione in testi letterari, la resa in italiano dei neologismi presenti in due romanzi francesi e questioni di traduzione dall¿italiano al tedesco in prospettiva diacronica.

Tal promoción se fundamenta en propuestas comunicativas cuyos fundamentos lingüísticos y socioculturales se orientan al consumo en torno al imaginario del vino vinculado a una identidad cultural e histórica de las regiones vinícolas, la producción de sus caldos y los servicios y productos derivados.

Dans la plupart des métiers, ce sont des mentor·es qui assument la transmission du métier à autrui. Néanmoins, endosser cette fonction ne va pas de soi. Ce contexte de formation d'adultes entre mentor·es et stagiaires présente différentes dimensions¿: observation, imitation, mise en pratique, sans oublier les entretiens. C'est l'analyse des entretiens menés dans le contexte de la transmission du métier enseignant en alternance, qui est mise en exergue dans cet ouvrage. Ainsi, au travers d'une démarche de formation des mentor·es¿nommée mentoring conversation studies, conçues selon le modèle des lesson studies, l'auteure présente comment, dans ce contexte, des mentor·es en formation d'adultes se développent en profondeur, en termes de réflexivité et d'autorégulation. Enfin, l'analyse fine des entretiens présentée dans ce livre questionne les dispositifs actuels de formation destinés aux mentor·es, et, en corollaire, les effets d'une absence de dispositif destiné à ce public.

Cet ouvrage résume un itinéraire scientifique fondé sur une thématique originale, l¿évolution d¿une vallée et des villes riveraines de la Meuse en partant de l¿étude du fleuve. Celle-ci repose sur des échelles spatiales et chronologiques à la mesure de la nature, le temps long et de larges espaces. Elle s¿appuie sur les données de l¿archéologie et de la géographie, afin d¿envisager tous les sujets qui touchent à la rivière : le cours d¿eau lui-même, les bateaux, les techniques de navigation, les « infrastructures fluviales ». Ces analyses enrichissent des problématiques plus vastes les pouvoirs, des questions relatives à l¿économie ou à la vie sociale. Cet autre regard, sans cloisonnements, cette grande diversité de thématiques s¿éclairant l¿une l¿autre se nomme aujourd¿hui « Histoire connectée ». Cela a encouragé l¿auteur à élargir l¿espace envisagé à l¿ensemble des cours d¿eau entre les Pyrénées et le Rhin. L¿intérêt d¿une telle étude réside en effet dans les comparaisons ainsi permises.

The book is the last volume of an extensive four-volume monograph devoted to the work of Cyprian Norwid (1821¿1883), one of the most outstanding Polish authors. The impact of Norwid¿s oeuvre does not fade, as he addresses fundamental and timeless issues, such as the moral and spiritual condition of man or his place in the world and history, and seeks to answer universal questions. The volume includes articles devoted to the analysis of selected sources and inspirations underlying Norwid¿s work, as well as comparative texts tracing the manifestations of the commonality of thoughts and views connecting Norwid with the leading writers and artists of different periods. As a result, we received a multi-faceted image of an artist who, on the one hand, was strongly rooted in the tradition and modernity of Western European culture, and on the other, was characterized by great openness and sensitivity to otherness and cultural diversity.

Late Hirschman: Theoretical exercises in "Self-Subversion" draws from the Colorni-Hirschman intellectual tradition the author has developed with close colleagues: recalls and rationalizes personal memoires that come from the long collaboration of the author with Albert Hirschman; learns ¿ once again ¿ in depth from his work; desires, if possible, to make progress on some vexed questions; and breaks away from all forms of ritualism. Hirschman, homme libre, did not like orthodoxies or intellectual boundaries and the like. He certainly would not have liked to be now pigeon-holed by a part of the Academia. Gradually exploring alternative directions, Meldolesi proposes, therefore, in this book a group of exercises. They have been suggested by the late Hirschman¿s self-subverting phase of intellectual elaboration that, starting from the "interpretive social science" point of view elaborated in the late ¿70s of last century together with Clifford Geertz and other leading intellectuals at the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton N.J.), touched later on numerous aspects of the long experience of Hirschman developed in three continents, and mirrored cautiously in his extraordinary work. The ambition of these exercises lies in helping the "triggering off" the cultural, economic and political potential that might be stemmed from late Hirschman: for understanding some key aspects of the past, exploring hand in glove the world we live in, and acting accordingly.

How do U.S. American Muslim mothers describe and discuss their identities as mothers, wives, and Muslims? How do they conceptualize their relationships with their children, husbands, and other family members? Often, discussions of motherhood within the mainstream Muslim community do not center on actual mothers¿ perspectives. This study, undertaken by a Muslim woman researcher, foregrounds the lived experiences of Muslim mothers to explore their communicative experiences of identity.The findings of this study are based on interviews with nine U.S.-based Muslim women who shared detailed thoughts about what Islamic scripture says about motherhood, the role of culture, the rights and obligations of different family members, and details about their day-to-day lives. Hecht¿s Communication Theory of Identity (CTI) framework ¿ a flexible and useful method for understanding the relationship between ideology, identity, and personal agency ¿ is used to identify core themes. Further, this study explores contradictions, incongruences, an disruptions between how respondents may enact (or perform) "motherhood" and their own personal feelings.Engaging and accessible, this book will be of interest to scholars of communication theory, religious communication, women and gender, and U.S. American Muslim studies, as well as anyone with an interest in the various impacts and influences of overarching intersectional identities.
